No longer have back button while in safari.

i was surfing the net and i must of done something because i no longer have the back and forward button on the top left of the screen. How do i get them back

Try pressing Command+I while in safari- or go to "View"-> "Show Toolbar"

Firefox crashes upon hitting the back button while looking at email in Outlook.

When I am looking at my email I crash almost every other time I hit the back button trying to go back to my list of emails on Outlook. I don't crash when hitting the back button on any other sites that I recall.

Help! history.go(-1) Back Button JavaScript in Safari

I wanted to create a quick back button using the simple history.go(-1) JavaScript. It works in all browsers except Safari. Any workarounds? Thanks much!

Sorry for the delayed response. Thanks for your reply -- it led to a solution.
Basically, the button code worked for me:
input type=button value="Back" onClick="history.go(-1)"
But the link code didn't work:
a href="#" onClick="history.go(-1)">Back
I wanted my own custom button, so after trying both lines you provided and seeing that the form <input type=button ... > worked, I modified it slightly to this:
input type="image" src="back.gif" onClick="history.go(-1)"
Which worked like a charm. Still not sure why I couldn't get the link code to work....

How do I delete an old device I no longer have that still shows in Safari iCloud settings?

In the iCloud website..in settings it shows the devices that you are signed in to. I handed a broken 17" MBP into Apple for exchange for a new 15" but the 17" still shows active in my devices. I cannot find a way to delete the device...any solutions please?

It sounds like you want to remove your old MacBook Pro from Find My Mac, but you no longer have access to the device. The article linked below will walk you through the process of removing the device from iCloud.

If you no longer have the iOS device because you gave it away or sold it, you need to remotely erase it before you can remove it.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud).
If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, then select the device.
Click Erase [device], then enter your Apple ID password. Because the device isn’t lost, don’t enter a phone number or message.
If the device is offline, the remote erase begins the next time it’s online. You’ll receive an email when the device is erased.
When the device is erased, click Remove from Account.
All your content is erased and someone else can now activate the device.

StageTextInputSkin press android ICS back button while in textinput without softkeyboard closes app

Try this on an android 4.0 device.
Put a StageTextInputSkin TextInput (same issue with stagetextarea).
Click it to activate the softkeyboard. Click the back button which will minimize the softkeyboard. Click the back button again and it will close the app.

Have you tried mimising the mail app, double tap hom ebutton, hold the app where it appears along the bottom of the screen until it wiggles and then tap on minus sign. Tap once on home button and then open the mail app again

Java-based media players no longer have working buttons.

When I visit a website using java-based media players embedded on the page, autoplay will work just fine, but play/pause, volume control, etc. will not click. I already had Firefox updated to 10.0.2 days before this problem cropped up. With the exact same plugins, the same websites are viewable and buttons are clickable in Chrome and IE.
To resolve the issue, I uninstalled, reinstalled, and updated Firefox, Java, Flash and Shockwave. I tried disabling addons, all with no change. All plugins are up to date, as are all active addons.

Do you really mean Java or do you mean JavaScript?

Safari back button doesn't always work

The back button on the Safari 3 beta doesn't seem to work on all websites. Does anyone have an explanation or fix for this?

I found the fix. Disabling the MacAfee Site Advisor plug-in fixed it.

Hi folks,I just got my Zen micro for couple days. Immediately, it seems to have the back button stick all the time (just like you press back button all the time). Everytime I go to the next menu it immediate going back to the main menu, even when it is at the main menu I still hear the clicking sound even I did not touch any thing. I updated to the MTP firmware sine I used Yahoo Music, I did the restore -clean up.Once in a while it behaves normal but not for long the back button seem got sticky again. Problems with Edge Animate and back button ios and firefox

I've put a bit of Edge content in a draft webpage:

..and am noticing a couple of issues:
1
When viewing in ios, I click through the content (there are links to products within the Edge animation), and then press the back button on mobile safari, only the Edge content is displayed, not the rest of the page.
2
When viewing in firefox, after clicking through a link within the Edge content and pressing the back button on the browser, the animation is paused from the point it was clicked. Other browsers that I've tested this on refresh the animation.
Ideally the edge content would continue to play from where it was.This is what seems to happen when I preview the animation in the browser from Edge animate.
Any help would be appreciated.
I really need to have this working or else I'll have to abandon creating the content in Edge.

This has always been the case for any animation in CP to be on top. Please
file a feature request. Same for communication between OAM and CP, none
for the moment. You van have transparent background and pause/play button
in OAM, could be a workaround.

in our portal application we have couple of buttons like "Back" , "Next" etc which works fine per our business requirements, but when the user clicks on Browser Back button it fails with jsp error stack, How do i take care of the Browser back button in 8.1 SP3,
Any help with the code will be really greatful,

We too faced similar problem. When portal is having different portlets, it is not worth to have goHistory(-1). It is better to have back button and point to respective page.
