No luck installing photoshop/preier elements 8

I tried install, 1st I put in dvd drive expecting it to autorun,it didn't so I opened drive folder & clicked on autorun- got error "This package could not be opened, contact app vendor to verify this is valid windows installer...tried that several times, got same error, then ( remembering in past I have had issues with McCaffee, I disabled that,restarted,& hit autorun-this time it got a little further into install,then said "error 1335,the cabinet data.cab required for install is corrupt.....rebooted several more times, always got one of them 2 error's.
I have a dell dimension, 2.8Ghz proccesor,2GB ram,& 80GB hard drive ( over 35 free)......
googled for help & found some nasty feedback about this product having lots of conflicts ( amazon had the feedabck) any suggestions

tried to download trial version from adobe site. got to download then
stopped , needed adaobe download manager......apparently my work IT
won't allow......could you send the trial version to email :
[email protected]........& then I can put on usb stick &
take home a finish..... I ( I can't download at home wit hdial up-
file size is 1GB)
Try to copy the installer folder "Adobe Photoshop Elements" from the DVD
to the desktop and run the installer from there using an admin account and
yeah keep the antivirus disabled till the moment PSE gets installed. Once,
the install finishes successfully, you can enable it again.

Trying to install Photoshop Premiere Elements 12. Get the following error.
Please uninstall and reinstall the product.

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, even tried using Revo-uninstaller to clear away the software to no avail.

I don't know what kind of system info you mean? I am new at this. But I have a new computer and tried reinstalling adobe photoshop elements 12 & adobe premiere elements 12 and now both are not working.
The message says Configuration error and the error code is:- Error:1
It worked fine on old PC.
After Clicking ok another message now comes up saying:
A required application library failed to load and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application.
Which i have done.

Hello. I received Photoshop & Premiere Elements 13 for Christmas. It was purchased from Amazon (Amazon inc., not a third-party vendor). I have a MAC, running OS 10.9.5, which aligns with system requirements. I have been unable to install the software at all. One time I received a message that the software was not legitimately Adobe software. Otherwise, the disc is ejected automatically. Everything indicates it is Adobe software (serial number, packaging, etc.) Any ideas? Thank you, Melissa
Correcting Title

Thanks. I downloaded Elements, and started to install, but can't get past the serial number screen.
There are several numbers on the back of the DVD box. I assumed the serial number was the long number above the bar code on the right - < removed > - but that doesn't fill the spaces and I don't get the 'NEXT' button.
The instructions say that the serial number will start with 1057 - so I tried added that to the beginning of the number above. Didn't work.
There is also a PN number on the back of the box, and a shorter number under a bar code on the left - < removed >
Can you tell me what I need to enter to install?
I haven't downloaded Premiere yet...

How do I download/install Photoshop & Premiere Elements 10 on new iMac with no disc drive?

My iMac hard drive recently failed and I lost everything. I just bought one of the new iMacs with no disc drive. I had purchased Photoshop CS5 in 2011 but it came with CD's for install. I stil have them but it doesn't do me any good since there is no disc drive to put them in on the new computer. How can I install Photoshop using my serial number from my original purchase? I downloaded the CS6 trial version and when I try to activate it with my old serial number it says it is invalid.

Very carefully read and follow the instructions on the pages!
Download and install the trials, launch and activate them with your serial number then do 'Help > Updates'.

Redemption code comes back as invalid as I try to install Photoshop/Premiere Elements 11.

I bought a sealed copy of Photoshop/Premiere Elements 11 less than a year ago. I just got around to installing it. However, when I come to the screen where I need to put in the Serial number, I see that I need to first use a redemption code to get the serial number from Adobe. When I put in that redemption code, I get a response that the redemption code is invalid. Considering I paid around US $80 for this and am now wanting to use it, I'm a bit disappointed to say the least. How can I get Adobe to recognize my redemption code and give me a serial number? Is there somewhere else I need to be looking for a serial number? Any help would be appreciated.

Installing Photoshop & Premier Elements on my 2nd computer (laptop)?

From What I can gather, I should be able to install each of the aforementioned programs on as second computer. When I try, the serisal number is not accepted. Am I mistaken about installing these programs on another computer?

Unable to Install Photoshop & Premiere Elements 10?

I downloaded both these products from Adobe.com using serial numbers. I downloaded the product files using Firefox. When the files arrived on my PC no installation process began automatically. One file with a .7z suffix was downloaded for each product. When I double clicked the downloaded files, nothing happened and my PC asked what program to use to open. Obviously something is missing. I did not see any installer dialogue, etc. How do I dowload and install successfully these two products. Your help is very much appreciated!

Alongwith the .7z file you need to download the respective .exe files so as to run it and extract the compressed files in the .7z file.
The installer is comprised of 2 files - one with .7z extension and the other with .exe extension.
You need to run the executable .exe file to begin the installation.

How to install Photoshop Elements 10 (not Premiere) from disc?

Can anyone help me? Purchaed Photoshop Elements 10 at Best Buy. Finally figured out how to get serial number. Figured out you have to insert disc 2 first. Wizzard comes up. Only comes up with choice to install Photoshop Premiere Elements 10, ( not Photoshop Elements 10). If I move to "next" it will allow me to install "Trial" version of Premiere, or enter a serial # (for Premiere). If I enter the serial number obtained, it indicates "invalid serial #". Have tried with two seperate purchased disc sets. Best Buy is useless as far as help goes, same with Adobe! Can anyone help?

I have to re-install Photoshop & Premiere Elements, but people tell me I shouldn't de-activate the program because it might not let me re-install it on the same computer. They have had issues with other programs.

You do not need to deactivate if you are reinstalling on the same machine.

There was no driver update available (it said my driver was up to date), so I just deleted the scanner and restarted the computer. when it came up, the scanner had already been added again. With great anticipation I tried to import from Photoshop...but no luck (scanner was not visible). I finally ended up calling Epson (had great difficulty in locating a number for support) and they finally told me there is no driver update for OS X 10.10 and I should as a work around use "Image Capture" application. I tried it, and it works quite well.

[Edit] I mis-spoke. The OP and another user with the same error WERE helped. What I saw initially was yet another poster, who was going to contact Adobe, but never came back to the thread. In the case of the OP and another users, the issue was caused by having Adobe Bridge, included with other Adobe programs, like Photoshop and Premiere Pro, running. When they killed that, the installation went well.

I am getting the msg "data corrupted" from windows installer, attempting to install photoshop elements 12. have wiped drive of file and redownloaded but get same results. have run regedit and removed Photoshop elements 12 also with no luck. Went back and installed photoshop elements 10 and prerimer and installed good, I have also installed prerimer elements 12 and the install was ok. I also ran trial version of photoshop 13 without any issues. I am at a lost to what is causing this issue. Any suggestions please.

"Failed to initialize" error message when installing Photoshop Elements 12

Hi,
I kepe getting an error message when trying to install Photoshop elements 12. I have re-downloaded the files multiple times from different places and none work so I know it isn't a corrupted file. Tried a system restart. Tried using support advisor but it found no issues.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.9 on a 2012 Macbook Pro that meets system requirements.
Any help is greatly appreciated

I have gone through the install logs and the error I am getting is 'PIM - Error could not create PIM Common Folder Path'. I have gone to the PDApp folder and it does not have any permissions on it. I have gone to the folder PDApp and it doesn't have any permissions, I'm not sure what to do from here. The PDApp folder is a alias that leads to the Adobe Application Managers folder. Sorry for the font being bold, it wouldn't turn off after pasting the error message.
