No Luck Syncing iDisk to Computer

I cannot start the syncing of my iDisk. When I attempt to do so the "iDisk Syncing Starting Up" process begins and seems to hang, with the "gear" rotating. I've let it go as long as an hour.
I have a good internet connection and have already established an iDisk at .MAC. I tested my .MAC name and password and they are valid.
Any ideas?

Hi, well we go back to Repairing Permissions->ReBooting->Resetting your Preferences once again..Have you ensured you have not enabled 2 firewalls & also check that you have not Blocked Sync/iDisk on your Mac Firewall. After that it's either an answer from a tekky or call AppleHelp...L

  • Photos taken on my Treo 755p are not syncing to my computer.

    Photos taken on my Treo 755p are not syncing to my computer, while the rest of the sync process performs flawlessly. The photos used to transfer to the 'Palm' folder under 'My Pictures' on Windows XP. The transfer used to occur with no problem...but I'm currently not having any luck. I went so far as to backup my Palm files, delete the Palm Desktop software, re-install it and then HotSync the new software with my phone. Does anyone have any tips???

    My Ipod will not sync to my computer. There have been several pop ups saying that my Ipod Is unable to sync.It also says i don't have the correct disc? I don't know what that means. I have tried unplugging my ipod multiple times to see if it will sync correctly, but It hasn't so far.All i really need is to put music on my ipod.  Please help soon!

    Not sure what the problem is. I'd try to troubleshoot it. See if it will work with a different USB Transfer cable. See if it will connect to a different PC. See if OTHER iPods will connect to YOUR PC. Usually when something like this happens it's a setting that has been changed, or unfortunately, it can also be a hardware issue (iPod connection port broken, USB Transfer cable broken, etc...) Let us know if any of these things work or if you get it fixed. Good Luck!

    Are the other iPods models, same version as yours. The 2 New FM Tx may need a new iPod software, which you can update via iTunes.

  • Treo 755 will not sync with my computer anymore

    I have a Treo 755 (Palm os) and it will not sync with my computer anymore. I have a PC with Win XP pro SP3. The last time it sync'ed was about two months ago, I had to fiddle with the connection before it would work. Now when I plug the phone in and push the button, the computer chimes but that is all that it will do. After it times out the phone gives an error message. I am thinking that maybe it is the cable or phones contacts that are bad. (It has always been hard to unplug the cable from the phone). I have also tried reinstalling the software with no luck. How can I check the connections, is there another way to sync with my computer?

    It said that the connection between my handheld and desk top could not be established. After I posted yesterday I looked though the web site and found were is said to blow out any dust from the terminals on the handheld so I did and it worked. This morning I tried it again and it will not connect. It must be one of the connections either on the handheld or on the cable. Is there a way of testing either? The computer is recognizing the handheld but it just will not communicate.

    If you're receiving that message, you data are already gone.  If you've been using iCloud and backing up your phone as recommended, you should have no data loss.  If you have not, well, hard lesson learned.  Good luck.

    Then my last suggestion is to Reset it, while connected to the BMW Audio.
    Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the  next step
    Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs or till the Apple Logo comes ON
    Then release the buttons
    Select your preferred language.

  • HD purchases won't sync back to computer.

    I just purchased a TV Show in HD from the AppleTV. The SD version downloaded to my computer. HOWEVER, the HD version won't sync to my computer. I thought this might be a glitch until I remembered that I purchased T2: Judgement Day the same way, sure enough, HD on the AppleTV, only SD on the Mac. This can't be the way it is supposed to work right? If so, then why would anyone buy HD content on the AppleTV? In order to get BOTH versions on your computer, it looks like you HAVE to purchase from the computer first?
    I followed the "Report a Problem" routine, but all they allowed me to do, was to re-download the SD version, which I already have. I'm wondering if they really didn't understand what the issue was. Any thoughts?

    I tried un-syncing and re-syncing my AppleTV, without luck. I contacted iTunes again, and they are letting me download the HD version of the TV Show to my computer. Ironically, I received a response about the same issue with a Movie, moments later and the response was completely different. They thought I was requesting a refund for it, which made no sense. So I'm still waiting on that one. But, alas, the moral of the story is, don't buy using your AppleTV. Frustratingly, it USED to work. Ahh.

  • TRANSFERRING APPS SYNCED FROM FORMER COMPUTER TO NEW COMPUTER?

    I purchased an I-Pad 2 on 3/11 to replace the original I-Pad I bought last year. I synced it with my "former" I-Mac and transferred Apps I had purchased and synced to my "former" original I-Pad to my new I-Pad 2..
    Then my "former" I-Mac crashed and burned and I bought a new I-Mac. Now I have all the original apps successfully installed on the new I-Pad 2, but can't sync them back to my "new" I-Mac. Is there any way I can do that?

    Thanks for your input. I tried that, but since the apps on my current I-Pad 2 were synced with my former computer, when I try to transfer them back from the new ipad to the new computer I get a message that itunes can only be synced to one computer and that computer is now gone.
    The apps remain on the ipad2 now, but I can't sync them back in to the new computer. I guess I'm out of luck?

    If you took pictures and then set up your phone using a back up from an old phone, you have erased the pictures. If you emailed or texted them to someone, you may be able to get them back that way.

    my 80gb 3rd gen classic wont sync to new computer and old computer it was has crashed so I reinstalled itunes on new computer with windows 7.  My old computer had xp.   Itunes can see ipod but doesnt read any of the music.  I would like to wipe out and just start over.  HELP

My phone is not syncing properly, I wanted to add another playlist to it that I created on my Mac. I pluged in my phone and made sure the playlist I wanted to add was checked to be on my phone when I synced.
    The playlist I wanted to add was "Country." It is clearly checked. I also wanted to add the "Recently Added" playlist, which I also checked before sycing. Currently, my phone only has the "Purchased" playlist and my "All Songs" playlist on it. When I hit sync, iTunes added another playlist automatically added another playlist to the list above and checked it. It was titled "ALL SONGS 1" and had ten fewer songs in it than the playlist I had created, "ALL SONGS" had. This playlist, however does not show up on my phone after syncing, nor does "Country" or "Recently Added." (Every time I sync, another playlist is created as "ALL SONGS 2, 3, 4, etc.") One of the songs (I have not, yet checked the other songs) that I purchased from within iTunes Radio shows up in the "ALL SONGS 1" on this screen:
    But does not show up anywhere else. This playlist does not show up anywhere but the two screens above. The ALL SONGS 1 or 2 playlists do not show up here:
    When I search for those song in my library, it shows that I do not have them:
    But if I go to the iTunes store, I get the play button and not the price of the song:

    "Summertime Sadness," one of the songs I bought from iTunes Radio, does not show up in the iTunes store under purchased "All" or "Not on This iPhone"
    But, it does show up under "Recent Purchases"
    Also, this is what playlists are on my phone after syncing a million times:
    Only what was on there before I started any of this. "Summertime Sadness" and the other songs I bought from inside iTunes Radio, do not show up in either of these playlists. Please, help me.
