No mail and connection to itunes
I have 2 problems all happened around same time. First a message that says the mail server is not responsing. Verify account settings & all looks okay to me. Secondly, when plugging ipad into PC itunes message is could not connect to the iopad because an invalid response was received from device. Can anyone help me? Vicki

My iphone 4 is telling me I have to restore but when I plug in and connect to itunes, it freezes about 30-50 % through the process. Now I can't use my phone at all? I am waiting about 1-3 hours for this process to finish and nothing ever happens. HELP!!
Put it into DFU mode - hold the sleep/wake button and home button until the screen goes black (ignoring the slide to turn off slider). When the screen goes black release the sleep/wake button but hold the home button. Continue holding the home button for 10 seconds, then release it. The screen should stay black. Plug it into iTunes and it should come up with this message "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. It must be restored before use", that's when it is successfully in DFU mode. Now press the restore button in iTunes and it should run smoothly :)

I forgot my iphone's password and it is disabled now because i tried so many times to open it. Now it's saying "your iphone is disabled and connect to itunes" i connected it to itunes and clicked restore. How long will it take for my phone to restore? Is it gonna be 24 hours?
It appears like there is maintenance or something affecting the iTunes server today. I recommend giving it a few hours and trying again. It shouldn't take that long to restore but from what I hear, there is definitely something going on with the iTunes server today.

ok my iphone 3g touch screen is not responding, i can recieve calls and it can charge and connect to itunes, but i cannot go any further than using the home button or the power button, it is only the slide feature and touch feature that has become non existent. Also, i have a f'ew cracks in my screen for a while now and it was running smoothly up until saturday when i sat on it applying large amounts of pressure to the phone screen. Is there a way i can fix this myself without having to recover my phone to factory settings or wasting 50 bucks to get it fixed??

Yes I've connected it to iTunes.. Reset the phone completely and synced phone again. It's also turned off twice today and when it comes back on its saying searching in the top left corner were your signal and network carrier should be?

The iPad is telling you what to do. Connect the iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. You probably need to restore the device. If it was disabled because you forgot the pass code, you will have to restore using recovery mode. As long as you restore with the computer that you always sync with, you will be able to restore from your backup at the very end and you will not lose any data.

It has been on this black screen with the apple logo and some small white writing at the top of the screen for many hours. I've tried rebooting it and connecting to iTunes but nothing has worked.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!It likely means there was still water inside it and something has now shorted out and permanently damaged one or more components. my ipod touch would not go past the apple logo, it would just shut off. i held the power and home keys and connected to itunes but now its on the connect to itunes picture and shuts off on its own. even if i try and shut it off myself it won't. it only stays on for about 3-5 minutes:( please help!!!
When it shows the Connect to iTunes screen and you connect it to iTunes, have you tried restoring it?
This should solve your problem because the most common cause of your issue is a software glitch that is preventing your iPod from completing it's boot sequence. Restoring it will replace the software on the iPod with a fresh set so it can be used again. -
i just updated my iphone to the latest update and my phone now has a picture of the connection cable with an arrow pointing to itunes. I plug it in and connect to itunes and nothing happens. HELP.

Do you have a SIM in the phone?
A SIM is required to activate it.
If you DO have a SIM in it, the most common cause of this problem is a phone that was hacked to illegally unlock it and has been updated or restored.
