  • Sccm no matching DP location found

I've been researching this problem for some time now and I can't figure it out, maybe someone here can help me out?  I'm trying to deploy an OS image and I keep getting the error:  "The requested software cannot be located.  The system might
be in the process of transferring these files.  Try again later, or if this operation continues to fail after several attempts, please contact your administrator or helpdesk operator.".
I verfied that the distribution points have been set and I can access the network shares from the computer I'm trying to reimage.  I checked the CAS.log and "No ContentRequest with the given handle found" is highlighted when I open with SMSTrace.
    Some system info:
This is a brand new computer tha I am using for testing.  It has all of the factory settings so there are no duplicate SIDs or GUIDs like others have encounters
Server 2008 R2, SCCM 2007 R2.  Site system status is all green.
Component status shows critical status for these:
    SMS_Inventory_Data_Loader
    SMS_MP_Control_Manager
    SMS_Software_Inventory_Processor
No errors, but lots of warnings.

    Hi,
Well I have had this error "no matching DP location found" and finally have realized what is the cause.
I have configured OSD with SCCM 2007 as TaskSequence. On 3 computers located in building I have tested image and TS and after few changes I got perfectly working image and TS.
My task was to migrate XP to Win7 on cca. 1500 workstations located all across he country in branch offices. I have configured boundaries for each branch office and dedicated one workstation to be BDP. I then distributed all packages needed by OSD task sequence
to these BDPs. When I have advertised TS to certain collection I start getting this error about DP could not be located. How can not be located if I have configured boundaries correctly (I check boundaries few times even change from ip range to ip subnet with
no success) and I checked content on BDP showing all necessary packages  are there. So, if client knows his boundary and content is there for sure how he can not see it or better to say find it?
Well answer to this question (which I believe you will find it faster than me, I was solving this issue for two days) is related with two options.
First, if boundary is configured as SLOW client executing TS will consider BDP as remote DP. Pay attention not UNPROTECTED but REMOTE. Now you are probably thinking or googling unprotected vs remote so here is the answer
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/25a519bb-20b4-4340-b150-44727d69812f/sccm-local-vs-remote-distribution-points?forum=configmgrswdist
    and some good article
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb932150.aspx
Second, if you want to leave boundary as slow you MUST check option under
    Advertisement properties -> Distribution points.
    1. When no local DP is available, use a remote DP
BUT DO NOT check second option "When no protected
DP is available use an unprotected DP" because client will pull content thrue WAN link (at least in my case and I do not want downloading wim image 3.5GB over wan link).
So, I really hope someone will find this useful and instead of searching for solution grab a beer :)
    Regards from Serbia.

  • WCS#2009.10.20.11.20.34: No matching users were found with search string ..

    Hi,
I setup my webcenter spaces using OID. I used the console application to setup OIDAuthenticator. I can see OID users and groups in the console application. I can also login to webcenter spaces using any of the OID user. But when I try to create a page in webcenter spaces I get error
WCS#2009.10.20.11.20.34: No matching users were found with search string ..
Also, when I try to change permission grants for a given page in webcenter spaces using 'Set Page Access' I cannot search for any of the OID users.
I have modified my jps-config.xml to add
         <property name="username.attr" value="uid"/>
    <property name="user.login.attr" value="uid"/>
inside the 'idstore.ldap' serverInstance as mentioned in the document. But stilll it does not work.
    Can anybody help me..

I have run dead smack into this issue using AD also. Is there a solution? I have tried all of the options for the following settings which seem to control the look up process:
    <property name="username.attr" value="cn"/>
    <property name="user.login.attr" value="sAMAcountName"/>.
For me, this issue rears its ugly head when attempting to add a role to an AD user. I can enter the login name in the find user box, click the find button, and the user is found. I select the user, pick the role, click "Add Member(s)", and then bam "No matching users were found with search string <login user>" message.
Based on my analysis of the problem, my guess would be that the look up process, which works, differs from the role assignment process in source of data and/or the key-field used to find a match.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks In Advance.

#3- If the TFTP is rerun the entire cycle starts again.

The IPS 4255 sensor appliance has only a single 512 MB internal CompactFlash module for storage by-default, so this part of the output you posted is interesting:
hda: TOQHIBA THLCD512MBA, CFA DISK drive
hdb: QalDisi QDAF@-510, ATA DISK drive

    hda: 484848 sectors (248 MB) w/2KiB Cache, CHS=481/16/63
    hdb: attached ide-disk driver.
    hdb: task_no_data_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
    hdb: task_no_data_intr: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }
    hdb: 484848 sectors (248 MB) w/1KiB Cache, CHS=481/16/63
As it appears that two (2) 256 MB ("248 MB") storage devices are being detected (despite the model of the first even containing "512MB" in its name).
I'd recommend double-checking that there is nothing installed in the "External compact flash device" slot located on the back of the appliance. See here for reference: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ips/7.0/installation/guide/hw_installing_4240_4255.html#wp2726
If there is a CompactFlash module installed there, eject and remove it, then power-cycle the appliance and attempt the re-image ("recovery") process once more. If the boot output still contains the same errors for hda and hdb, then it is probably a failing/failed CompactFlash module, so an RMA will likely be necessary to resolve.

  • Aperture "no image found" after updating to 3.1.3.

This has been posted elsewhere with 60 some views with no responses and on here with almost 50 views with no responses. I will try rewording my question:
I have Aperture 3.1.3 (updated recently). I opened it and have a library displayed in the browser.
The library resides on an external drive along with 5 or 6 other ones (arranged by year).
I can look at my photos but can't edit or work with them because of the "no image found" message.
I am having no luck in reconnecting masters and also can't see the other libraries in the list of Aperture Libraries. I copied the 2011 library to my hard disk, but still can't reconnect masters.
    Help please.

I believe there are other threads which discuss this issue:

  • "No image found in subtitle script line" -- What's wrong with my FAB file import?

I've used Encore for years, version 4 and now 5.1 on both Mac and PC (Windows 7).
I export FAB files with bitmaps from my subtitling program and import them into subtitle tracks in Encore.
The last few times this has not worked.  Every time I export FAB files and try to import them into Encore, I get the error message "No image found in subtitle script line."  I've used different machines and different versions (4 and 5.1) of Encore.
There are indeed images (bitmaps) in the folder containing the FAB file.
Is there a solution to this problem?
    Thank you!

I don't recall anyone describing this problem. If you can post a link to a short fab script, I'll test it in an Encore project. I am CS5 only, but it is worth a shot.

  • No Bootable Image Found

When I turn on my HP Proobook 4540S,  My screen says "No bootable image found, notebook will be shut down".  My computer is less than a year old.
How do I fix this and what is the problem?

The hard drive may have failed and will need to be replaced. You should still be in warranty and HP will send a new drive. Phone HP Support in your area. Worldwide contact info can be accessed here>>Contact HP

  • No images found

Although I have many pictures on my Galaxy Tab 7" Wifi, in various folders, internal and external (microSD card) storage, PSE says "No images found on your phone". All other applications, like the media gallery, can find them.

    The problem still exsists.
    An helpful message would be:
"No images found on your phone, please check your settings if you store the images ...."
I would say it is almost a critical bug, since every user on a different device then "normal phone" will be tricked to belive your application does not work.

  • No matching cloudsystem matrix found

Hello everybody, I'm trying to update a BL460c G7 blade server with HP SPP DVD 20130900 but the following error appers: "no matching cloudsystem matrix found"
A colleague of mine says me that the the blade was previously managed by the CloudSystem Matrix tool, but it was discarded and it's no longer reachable.
Any idea how to unlink the blade to let me start manual firmware update?
    Thanks a lot!

You can work around this by clicking on select components and then setting the force tick box. This will force a re-discovery but you can then apply the components. If the enclosure is no longer matrix managed, you may be able to remove the matrix ID from the enclosure - I have not tried this myself so will wait for someone else to confirm that.

  • Diagnostic Problem: Native Libraries FOUND!!

    Hello All,
I would like some help installing JMF2.1.1e.
I'm using Windows XP. I installed it using the InstallShield, and my classpath & path were set to the relevant directory... however I get the following error when running the JMF diagnostic...
    JMF Version... 2.1.1e
    Win32 Build
    Native Libraries Found
Can somebody please shed some light...
    Many thanks...

    That is not an error.
That is what it should say.

  • No matching values were found ... security issue??? help

    Hi,
A few days ago when I added multiple students with Quick Enroll a Student I could see them from Campus Community or Quick Enroll -> Find an Existing Value.
Then I created, from Application Designer, some groups with special access to Tree Manager and also 2 interface components for existing components (subjects and courses).
But when tried Quick Enroll -> Find an Existing Value again it didn't return any results: "no matching values were found".
From Campus Community is the same result, no match.
I deleted both the groups and the component interfaces created, but the result is the same, I can not view my enrolled students anymore. What could be the problem? Some security problem?
I have Read/Write to the Academic Institution, the Campus, the Academic Organization, all Academic Careers, Programs, and Plans.
    Thank you,
    Anda

You mean to see if the students exist in the database? The answer is yes, they do exist.
One more thing, I can see the enrolled students from
Record and Enrollment -> Enroll Students -> Enrollment Request Search
    But from
Record and Enrollment -> Enroll Students -> Enrollment I can't see them.
Any suggestion is appreciated, thank you!

    Hi,
This might be a stupid question but what happens when you perform a recon against AD? Once complete does the index list the account as confirmed, unknown etc?

  • Scale a layer so it matches the image size. (Automate)

I need to scale a layer so it matches the image size.
The problem is that i need to automate this procedure and apply on a range of images all with different resolutions. (This is why i can't use CTRL+T and just drag the corners of the layer so it fits the image)
The layer that i need to resize is 2000x1500 pixels.
The images that i need the layer to match varies between 3000x2000 pixels and 5000x4000 pixels. (I know all about quality loss when i scale UP so please don't give me a lecture this).
It doesn't matter if the layer proportions changes.
    I use Photoshop CS5.

You state layer but do not state much more. Do you know how many layers these files will have. Will it always be the same layer in the layer stack that needs to be transformed. You state that it doesn't matter if the layer proportions changes by that do you mean you don't care if the layers aspect ration changes and its content becomes very distorted. Layer also supports transparency they need not be a rectangle transforming these layers will not fill in the transparent area or make the rectangular.
You may be able to automate this with a script.  Install the ScriptListener and perform the transformation you want to do is steps. Use Ctrl-T set the anchor point to the top left corner and move the layers top left corner to the canvas's top left corner by entering 0 in the x and y fields . Then do a Menu Image size just to get the width and hight of the canvas in pixels and to make sure that the transform is written to Photoshop's script files. Then do a Ctrl-T again with the anchor point top left set the w and h fields to the width and height pixel sizes of the canvas.  Also record these steps i an action so you can see how Photoshop does the transforms.  You will see Photoshop records the steps and the value he used for the move to Top Left corner were calculated from the Layer original location.  You would need to make this same calculation in the script. Un install the plug-in and extract the transforms steps from the Photoshop script files you may now have the information you need to do the transforms you will still have to learn Photoshop scripting to learn how to get document canvas sizes and layer sizes and process the layers. Not an easy task.....

  • Critical actions showing "No match or conflict found"

    Hello
I've set up an Active Critical Action rule, pulling in one Function and when I execute it against users that I know have access in the function, it's coming up with "No match or conflict found".
It asked when I created it if I wanted to generate the rules and I said yes.
Is there another step I need to complete before getting valid results?
    Thanks

    Jon,
Check this thread: "No match nor conflict found"
If you are performing an Online Analysis it should work.
    Cheers,
