No matter what I do iTunes will not save my card details.

Dear all,
No matter what I do iTunes will not save my card details. Everytime I go to buy something it says "Your account information has changed" and takes me to the card details page. I update the card details correctly and click done and it takes me back to the store. I then go to buy something and it comes up with "Your account information has changed" and sends me back to the card details page with all the updated details I put in missing. This makes it completely impossible for me to use the iTunes store.

While Apple may request a Pay-Per-Incident, if it is determined that your device has a hardware issue, that PPI will bewailed after troubleshooting is completed. Or, you can request that they waive that if you've already done a lot of troubleshooting. The PPI is only for issues that a user could resolve on their own but want Apple to provide a walkthrough over the phone. You can get free support by going to an Apple Store instead, for example, as well.

I paid for and downloaded episode 5 of breaking bad, with 13.58 seconds left, it froze and no matter what I do it will not start again. Any suggestions?

Itunes will not save podcasts

When I download podcasts on itunes 8 it will not save them in my podcasts folders.

not that its any help - but this is happening to me too - and I can't find any answers on the posts. It is podcasts from WNYC and PBS that are not working so far....

I just bought a 7th gen Nano, no matter what I try, it will not let me load videos to it, I downloaded 5 off Itunes, it still tells me they wont play on my ipod, ive tried to convert them to every type of format possible, please help me

In iTunes, do Store->View my AppleID
Click "Deuthorize ALL"
Then, on any computers you still have, do Store->Authorize this computer. If there are less than 5, you will have no problem.
You can only do "deauthorize all" once a year, so in the future, if you ever throw a computer away, remember do to "Store->Deauthorize this computer" first.

Itunes will not accept credit card information

With a minimum of 10 attempts with at least 4 different senior advisors, no one can figure out what has changed with Itunes that has resulted in a continuing error message that my card information provided through itunes does not match with bank records. The bank disagrees and has validated information 3 times. Something is very wrong with Itunes billing and no one can help.

I have been waiting for apple itunes support to answer for several days since I received their machine generated formletter response telling me they're investigating. Finally after trying everything I could think of I figured it out myself. As suspected and confirmed by Visa, this isn't a problem with the credit card or the credit card information, but an itunes store desktop application bug. First it is displaying a misleading and inaccurate message on entering valid credit card information for an available credit card with more than enough credit (your credit card has been declined). This message implies that apple sent the request to your credit card vendore which wastes your time and the credit card vendor's when you contact them to investigate.
It turns out the whole issue is caused by poorly coded integration between itunes store desktop application and apple store web application. I found an old apple knowledge base article which said that whenever you update account info on itunes store, it automatically updates apple store.
What was really happening when itunes store displayed the CC declined message was that it was trying to update apple store's information to match, but the apple store account info has different options and validaiton than the itunes store accounts info (in my case the apple store doesn't have an option for my country, Jordan). So when a validation error was encountered by itunes desktop app as it was trying to update apple store information, it just falls back to displaying credit card declined simply because the apple programmers did not bother (too lazy I guess) to take the validation error from the apple store and display it in itunes.
So what I did was open apple store account management, change my email and save. Then open itunes login with the new email, then itunes will ask me to re-enter account info (not just billing info) this allowed my cc to be accepted immediately.

Ok my ipod touch syncs but not properly,I see a little icon on both itunes and the ipod rolling,itunes shows me that I have less memory available on my ipod after I sync which coresponds well in terms of memory with the ammount of songs I am loading to the ipod but I never see what I think I should see when I sync which is "do not disconnect......". Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?

Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Recently no matter what I do, Firefox will not allow me to use Adobe Reader instead of it's own

I used to be able to display pdf documents using Adobe Reader instead of Firefox's built in. I have tried everything that you suggest and that Adobe suggest. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader (11.0.09). I have gone to the options in Mozilla but when I try to change the Portable Document settings, I don't get the option for "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)". I do get the for Adobe Forms, but not for PDF documents. If I change it to use Adobe Reader, it downloads and then opens reader which is not I want. I want to use the plugin which is installed (I go to Add-ons and it is installed and "always activate").
Help? This only started happening in the last month or so. I am running latest released Firefox (33.0.2), Windows 7 (up to date with all updates, etc.).

That doesn't solve the problem. I have all those defaults. But in Firefox, it won't let me select for "Portable Document Format" to "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)" which it used to let me and which is what the Mozilla Firefox help stuff says to do. I can select Adobe Reader but then it downloads it and opens it in a separate reader window rather than using the plugin. If I select to let Firefox "Preview in Firefox", then the Firefox built-in PDF reader will display it. I have added an add-on "pdfViewerSwitcher" which then lets me display in the Adobe Reader plug-in but only after first displaying it in the Firefox preview. So that verifies that the Adobe Reader plug-in works. But I can't set it to always use the Adobe Reader plug-in.
I have some reasons for wanting to use the Adobe Reader plug-in. I use Nuance Power PDF Pro for editing and doing other things with pdfs.
This all used to work and stopped working at some point in the last couple months. And if you search the web, you will find I am not the only one with this complaint.
I don't know whether it is Adobe's fault or Mozilla's fault but at least one of them is broken. And I think it is Firefox since it won't even let me select it but does let me select it for Adobe Forms.

ITunes will not save a video podcast

using iTunes 7.3, and after subscribing to a podcast, I am unable to save a video podcast. It goes through the down load process, but when complete it does not show up in the list of programs for a given podcast. The audio only podcast seem to be working just fine.
Any ideas?

I have also noticed this same problem. Sorry that I do not have a fix. This happend to me with Podcasts that were working fine, but all of a sudden I went to download a new podcast (from a source where I have been going to download them for a while now) and it showed up as being downloaded but never showed up in the Podcasts section in iTunes. I have tried this with other Pobcasts and still nothing. I have backed up all of my computers content and reinstalled the OS and yet I have still run into the same problem. Actuallly now that I think of it, it was never a problem until I updated my OS to 10.4.10 . I do not know if this was the reason or not, but that seems to be around the time that I started to encounter the problems.

ITunes will not save library on closedown

'iTunes Library.itl does not appear to be a valid iTunes library file. iTunes has attempted to recover your iTunes library and renamed this file to iTunes Library (Damaged).itl'. It takes 2hrs to readd all 45k files to library, and I have to do this every startup. I can't continue doing this. How can I fix it?
I can't find any .itl files either, and have gone so far as to uninstall and reinstall iTunes - even to a different hard drive - but the problem persists.

I've updated to Itunes 11.1.3.8 and now Itunes will not save my settings.

After upgrading to Itunes 11.1.3.8 it stopped saving all settings. I'm running Itunes on Windows 7 and have not had an issue with Itunes until this upgrade.
It starts up like a new install each time I open Itunes.
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

Actually your initial response had no resolve for someone with my particular problem except to take a route that is both not costeffective nor a possibility for someone who just purchased a phenomenal new Asus i7 with 8gb of RAM. It could have included something about switching compatibility modes which is a route that many people including myself should take and worked wonderfully. It's unfortunate people as yourself reply on these boards in horribly monotonous replies instead of offering solutions for people with certain software and actually being helpful. Enjoy your day.

Itunes will not accept credit card security code

I set up my itunes account just after Xmas with no problems. Now I get an error saying my security code on my credit card is not valid. It is valid, and all info is correct. Any help with this?

As of today, I'm having the same problem. My iTunes account has been up and active for a long time using the same card, then suddenly the security code isn't valid. I've double checked all the info and it is correct, but iTunes refuses to accept it… I also tried the article linked above, but it is no help at all. There is no option to select "None" as a payment choice.
Just to be very clear: I've been using my iTunes account to make purchases with this exact card since 2009, my bank info hasn't changed since 2008, my card is not expired, and the security code is correct.
If anyone comes up with a solution, I'd appreciate hearing about it. I can't even get the free updates to my apps since my payment info is busted. Grrrr.
