Some images on the home page of this site will not load for me: www.carolynclarkdfw.com

If images are missing then check that you do not block images from some domains.
*Press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the hidden Menu bar.
Check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
Check "Tools > Page Info > Media" for blocked images
*Select the first image link and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list.
*If an image in the list is grayed and "<i>Block Images from...</i>" has a check-mark then remove this check-mark to unblock images from this domain.
Make sure that you do not block (third-party) images, the <b>permissions.default.image</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page should be 1.
Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.

Note that these settings affect background images.

I can't print no matter what I try. Please help.

I bought an Airport Express and installed it successfully. I use it with my iMac OS X 10.5.8. I previously used my HP Officejet 5610 with the iMac through a direct USB connection. I've tried printing to the Officejet via Airport but can't get it to work. I've done everything in the "Printer Troubleshooting" posts including deleting and re-adding the printer as well as re-installing the drivers through a direct USB connection. The printer shows up in the print list but it won't print. I have run test prints and diagnostics on the printer and it works fine. Any help?

- Reset all settings

No matter what I try install the Icon Pops up but won't Open?!

Hi- I have been trying to install Frostwire.. I have had it on my computer before but I deleted it because I thought it was making my computer slow. Now when I download it.. it goes through the whole instilation process the icon comes up in the bottom tool bar but when I go to open it the Icon simply disappears but the file is still on the desk top. That started happening a few days ago..Now I just tried to install my Mac Wireless Mighty Mouse.. and the same thing is happening.. anyone have any idea what could be wrong?!

After installing itunes every icon on my screen becomes an itunes icon and no matter what you hit only the itunes page appears.

Your MacBook already comes with iTunes. What iTunes is telling you is probably to update it to the most recent version, so open  > Software Update, and install the most recent iTunes version, in this case, 11.0.4.

I like to play cards on Yahoo. I can get into the program, but the room page, applet won't load.

I can get into Yahoo, and the 'gin' site, but when I try to go to a room to play, the page won't load. It's just blank. I've tried all the things, like emptying cache, and it doesn't help.

I suspect the software was originally designed for PPC based Macs and is simply not designed to run on 10.6.7. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer and asking the correct way to uninstall they're application.
After uninstalling I would run Repair Disk Permissions in Disk Utility and if necessary do a SMC reset using the following instructions:
SMC RESET
• Shut down the computer.
• Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
• Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
• Release the power button.
• Attach the computers power cable.
• Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
• Shut down the computer.
• Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
• Turn on the computer.
• Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

Can someone look at this code. I used EDGe to create the animation. Then imported to MUSE. I upload the HTML file to abode business catalyst site.. it' works... I upload to my godaddy hosting site... doesn't load... i created other pages and they work fine using the same work flow...

I delete emails by putting them in trash. I have even deleted all mail. It all reappears no matter what I try! The mail icon shows I have thousands of emails and I can't get rid of them! Please help!!

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. When I try to change the start position for a still image in iMovie, nothing happens. I cannot see the full picture no matter what I try. Any help?

I have been using iMovie on my ipad for a while. When I add a still image to a movie, it adds close up, with only the enlarged center portion of the picture showing. I try to zoom out after tapping the Start button (Ken Burns), but there is no change. There's also no change with the End button.
Any suggestions?

For reasons only known to Apple, you cannot zoom so far out of an image as to create black areas.
So sadly you cannot zoom out to show the full image.
The only work around is to edit the photo in a photo editing app, and add Black bars on the sides, or top and bottom till the image is the 16:9 aspect ratio.

IMac shut down and will not turn on no matter what I try...help!

I am hoping that someone can help me. I have a 20", 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac that was purchased late 2007. A few days ago, it shut down on it's own during normal computer use and it won't turn back on since.
I have searched through the boards and most people recommend resetting the SMC, SMU and pulling out/placing back in the memory. I have tried all of those as well as using a brand new power cord but none have worked. I have also seen recommendations to reset the PRAM but since the computer has to be on to do that, unfortunately, I can't try it.
Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Not sure where you found that information but that is not the case. The Mac must be shut down in order to reset the PRAM. Follow the instructions here...

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Right-click or control-click the line and select

This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
