No Matter What I Try, Keynote Continues To Crash

Hello All,
I am pleading for your help as I have exhausted what I think is every conceivable resource to solve this problem. I have ran Keynote '09 for many a year now and have not had any issues. Two weeks ago my business partner started a Keynote '09 (Same version I have)  project on his MacBook and I was going to finish it on my iMac desktop.
When I launched the file, after a few moments, Keynote stated that it had an unknown error and that I should restart it. After numerous failed attempts I uninstalled iWork '09 and reinstalled. Same problem.
I then went in and deleted in my preference folder any plist file pertaining to Keynote. It ran about 30 seconds longer than last but still crashed.
I don't know what else would be causing this problem but its getting very frustrating as I use Keynote extensively.
Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
Thank you in advance,

Does Keynote work to make a new presentation or open other files? Is it just this one file that crashes Keynote?
First thing to try is to create a new user and install Keynote and see if it works there. It might have nothing to do with Keynote and could be caused by some other program you installed recently. You could also try to update your system to 10.5.8 as that is the latest version. Also, find out if your partner used any fonts that you don't have.

    Hey,
Could you please provide me with some more details so that I can analyze the issue.
Let me know what Acrobat version are you using and specify the error message that you get.
When do you get the error? Just after launching Acrobat or while opening PDF or something else?
    Hope to hear from you.

I have just updated my iTunes to 11.1.3. I followed all correct steps, restarted my computer etc but now I cannot open iTunes not matter what I try and do.
Very frustrating. Have read the trouble shooting info on Apple website but nothing has worked.
Someone please help. I cannot access any of my music.

Open Finder. Go to the "Go" menu in the menu bar. Press and hold Control and click on Library. Go to "Preferences". Find a file named, "com.apple.iTunes.plist" and delete that file. This won't delete your iTunes content. It will reset iTunes. Try it again.

    Hi Demo,
Yes, I have not made myself clear, I apologise.
I have tried downloading apps from itunes in order to set up a game for my son, when I go to click on a link, be this in itunes, or on the web, Safari revolts back informing the address is invalid. I read by coping a link and pasting into the URL, this would do it, but not so.
My goal then, is to install Minecraft for my son, I would then download an app to allow this but I am unable to get this far due to Safari insulting the address I ask it to go to

  • Excel (Office 2010 64 bit) will not connect to Oracle DB not matter what I try

    Hello Everyone,
I started a new role that requires me to interact with an Oracle DB using Excel.  Currently I have both the 32 bit and 64 bit Oracle clients installed on my Windows 7 PC.
Firstly I can TNSPing the database I need to connect to, I can also connect using SQLPlus to the desired database, I can even connect using TOAD.
No matter what I try I cannot connect using Excel VBA (Office 2010 64 bit).
The process below used to work for me in a different location, now the objDatabase always is returned "Empty"
    Set objSession = CreateObject("OracleInProcServer.XOraSession")
    Set objDataBase = objSession.OpenDatabase("database server", "user name/passsword", 0&)
I am not even able to set up a simple ODBC connection working.  I get a error "ORA-12557: TNS:protocol adapter not loadable."
When using a ADODB connection I get this error. Run time error '-2147467259 (80004005)':
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and default driver specified.
I have place the TNSNames file in both Oracle Home's
I have even reinstalled Office 2010.

    Hi,
The 12577 error (12557: TNS:protocol adapter not loadable) is related to Windows Environment or Oracle Home PATH because sqlplus command works smoothly when I execute it inside ORACLE_HOME\bin.
There are two solutions to this issue:
    1. Put the Oracle DB Home in front of the other paths in the PATH environment variable.
    2. Remove ORACLE_HOME From environment Variable and re-boot PC

  • My iMac has a Kernel Panic screen come up on start up and I can't get past it no matter what I try. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

My mac has a "Kernel Panic" screen come up on start up. No matter what I try I can't get past this to fix it. Any hints out there? Do I have to completely wipe my drive and re-install to fix this? I can't even back up my files before doing this as like I say I can't get past the Kernel Panic message.

There are some fairly informative articles about kernel panics...
    •OS X: About kernel panics:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3742?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Note the toggle triangles to get more info in the above article, some are
important steps, with alternative methods of accessing or performing a
suggested activity and may vary with the OS X version in use.
    •Resolving Kernel Panics:
    http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/kernelpanics.html
•Technical Note: TN2063: Understanding and Debugging Kernel Panics:
    https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/technotes/tn2063/_index.html
The above TN covers several technical aspects to identify & troubleshoot.
Some are above the average user needs, but still can be rather helpful.
Hopefully you can get past the kernel panic screen, there are several
ways to attempt to do that, however if the issue is hardware, a reinstall
of the OS X may not cure the underlying cause of the symptom.
    Good luck & happy computing!

    Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
    When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

My Mavericks upgrade crashed my hard drive and I had to reinstall Mountain Lion.  Now I cannot get any of the apps that I purchased to download.  The icons on the launchpad just say "waiting" no matter what I try.  My app store ID is fine.  What do I do?

Are you now using a different username from the one you used prior to migrating? If so that is the reason for the problem. You might, then, give this a try:
    To fix Home folder permissions
Open the Terminal application in the Utilities folder.  At the command line prompt enter or paste the following command line:
    sudo chown -R `id -un`:`id -gn` ~
Press RETURN.  You will be prompted to enter your admin password which will not be echoed.
