he adquirido una macbook pro, se termino la bateria, y cuando la he prendido no me acepta la contraseña. no tengo el disco de instalacion y ya intente comando mas s y nada de nada. Ayuda y gracias.

Iphone 6 won't work with my Bluetooth in car- Apple needs to admit this is issue and fix it!

Ever since I got my IPhone 6 two weeks ago it has failed to make any type of connection with my GM car Blue Tooth device. I have read the forums on here and attempted all the fixes- none of them worked. Reset just about everything on the phone, reset about everything on the car BT device- no dice. Phone just keeps spinning and saying 'Devices' but never connects to one.
Now here is the kicker, I reached out to Apple Support who told me to 'reset' again. Went ahead and did so even though I told Support I tried this several times, still no dice. Apple Support tells me to go to Apple Store and they will get it to work. Went to the store, shocking that I talked to like 3-4 other people in the store that were also having BT issues with IOS8, on all types of Iphones. The Apple employee had me (guess what) 'reset' everything for like the 100th time since I got the phone, no dice. Here is the kicker, the Apple employee pulled her phone out and went to the BT and she couldn't get a connection to the BT device in the store. Instead of admitting that she too was having issues, she instead quickly closed her BT APP hoping I wouldn't see that she was having issues. Instead she gives me a brand new IPhone and tells me to go home and do all the downloads and it should work. Talk about the all time push off, went ahead and did it and same problem as before. She then tells me if the problem continues to go to GM and tell them to do a firmware update. I was like 'come again', you want me to just drive up to Detroit to GM headquarters and go tell their CEO to do a firmware update. This is super frustrating, my job is on the road, I need BT to work since I live in a state that you have to drive hands free.
I am out of ideas and don't know what to do, I really wish Apple would just come out and put a IOS FIX on this and admit to fact that the BT is an issue. Stuck with this dang phone now, so tired of it and Apple now.

After biting the bullet and ordering more RAM, my computer now is working a ton better. So that must have been the main issue. With 8 GB RAM, I can now even run Parallels fluidly (better than my work PC!) where before simple things like logging in to my MBP after reboot could take forever.
The place I went to had several other people getting RAM upgrades at the same time as me, so between this and other comments I've seen in discussions here and elsewhere on the Internets, I take it to mean that either Apple should bump up the base RAM on its new machines, and/or stop charging so much for additional RAM.
I refused to believe a Pro machine bought with Lion installed would come with too little RAM for light to medium usage, but it was apparently the case. I'll mark this as a correct answer and hope some other poor soul will come across this thread and be helped by it.

1. I am glad your Mavericks doesn't have the problem. I am sure there are a lot of Mavericks out there that don't have the problem, and yes, you are correct, I, along with ALL of the other people that are complaing of this problem all over the internet, including this support forum itself, are having problems with our own Mavericks installations.
2. Agreed, Apple doesn't have a good track record of admitting to the bugs in its Operationg Systems, but don't worry, Microsoft is just as bad. Technology is about making money after all.

4. I took the precaution of removing all of my data from this machine. and wiped its harddrive.
I did a fresh install of Snow Leopard (the OS it came with), upgraded to Mountain Lion, and then upgraded to Mavericks before doing anything at all to the machine, and before installing anything on it.
So with this Fresh, brand new install of Mavericks (I dont trust upgrades - for good reason) I installed Open Office, Adobe Creative Suit CS6, Google Chrome, Filezilla, Firefox and Thunderbird, and Microsoft Remote Desktop client.
That's it.
The font that will not install is any of the fonts from the Univers family.
We have had this font in our office for the seven years I have worked there. It installs fine on all Macs from Tiger (10.4) to Mountain Lion (10.8) (I have just finished tesing this on a number of these machines).
We have one other mavericks machine but this font was already installed on it when it was upgraded from Mountain Lion to Mavericks so it works.

This is a lot more information than has been provided by almost all of the other posts on all the forums I have been reading about this problem, and most of the posts have a lot of people chiming in saying,
"It works fine for me, so it must not be a problem".
Not a lot of help has been forthcoming for the others in this same situation that I have been reading of, and most are resorting to Third Party Programs in an attempt to get fonts installed, all with varying degrees of success.
I am not willing to use a third party program to do something the operationg system should be able to do itself.
I have tried pasting the fonts themselves into all of the various fonts folders in the OS, to no avail.
I will be very interested to hear what you make of the information I have supplied.

The end result is the following:
The Apple Store never called me back, so after 3 weeks, I decided to proactively seek resolution by scheduling a Genius Bar appointment yesterday.
The first Genius told me that I would need to leave the MBPro for a few days so that they could order and install a replacement Motherboard. I told him that I already did that the first time and was worse off as a result of the initial efforts. The First Genius punted me to a Second Genius...
The second Genius told me that they did not have any replacement Motherboards and that I need to leave my MBPro at the store in order to research the plan of attack and someone from the Apple Store would call me in a few days to let me know what they could do to help me. I told him that there was no way that I would leave my MBPro until I was comfortable with the plan. He told me that there will be no action plan until I turn in my MBPro for review. I reminded him that I already did that 4 weeks ago, so no need to go around again - as we already know what is wrong. Next I asked for the manager -
Very nice guy comes up and listens to my complaint and the responses from Genius 1 and 2... I told him that I shouldn't have to be inconvenienced multiple times for a known NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT issue. He told me that he was unaware of any issues and I asked him if he was kidding? I showed him a website on my iPhone that describes the scope of the problem and then he became much more helpful...
Long Story Short-
Gave him my 17", 2.6Ghz, 4Gb, 200Mb MacBook Pro and I walked with a NEW 17", 2.5Ghz, 4Gb, 350Mb MacBook Pro PLUS a $450 Apple Gift Card(for the difference in what I paid in April and the price of the new one!

El usuario invitado sirve para habilitar acceso anonimo a ciertas partes del sistema.
Si no se usa, deshabilitalo. Entra a Preferencias del Sistema / Usuarios y Grupos con una cuenta con privilegios de administrador. Haz click en el candado de la esquina inferior, pedira el password de la cuenta. Selecciona al usuario invitado y asegurate que todas las opciones esten des-seleccionadas (sin paloma).

Why doesn't Mozilla Firefox admit Profile bug, regarding "unresponsive plugin" Shockwave problem?

I'm a longtime user, more than 10 years, of Firefox and of Netscape before that. This is the first time I've ever seen "unresponsive plugin," let alone for Shockwave. I followed _every_ solution suggested. Checked up-to-date of plugins and reinstalled several even though they were up to date. Even reinstalled Firefox. Ran a complete Norton scan on my system (totally clear). Finally. On the ADOBE help forum, not on Mozilla's (!!!), someone said that blowing away their Profile and starting anew fixed the problem. This is a drastic step, because it nukes every saved Firefox bookmark and setting. BUT IT WORKS. Dear Mozilla Progammers: You have a PROFILE bug. Please admit it and fix it.

It is good to know it is fixed. Had you posted here first you would almost certainly have fixed your issue without loosing bookmarks.

Using a new profile may well be one fix for some such problems although it is the proverbial sledgehammer and nut approach. There is a long thread about this that I recently locked as it was getting totally unreadable.

BT admit that there IS a problem with downloading ...

Unbelievable. After submitting a formal complaint, I have just had a call from someone at BT admitting that there IS a problem with BT Net Protect Plus not downloading properly. They are apparently "working on it" and I should get a call shortly when the issue is resolved, after which time it should download ok. This is after spending the best part of 2 days trying unsuccessfully endless times to download it, after the goons in the BT callcentre helpline blamed ME for causing my OWN problem. However, I will believe it when I see it.

Well wonders never cease. Had a call from India to say problem with Net Protect Plus had been identified and resolved. Tried again, and this time it downloaded in a few minutes and installed immediately, no problem whatsoever. This is after 2 days of me trying unsuccessfully to download it and tearing my hair out because it failed every time. They had blamed me for the problem! Would be a help if in future the helpline in India do not assume users are causing their own problems, and take on board the fact that there may actually be a problem at the BT end of things.

My MacBook Pro is admittedly old (2009) but suddenly very slow when using LR4

I don't hve the fastest computer, admittedly. But dowloading raw pics cand take ten minutes per picture. I am downloading to an external drive - is that the problem, or do I simply need to get a more modern/ faster computer?
I typically shoot in raw and export jpg versions..

Thanks Butch, I do have large sized images - in the 28 MP range. And my laptop was 4GB with 256 memory.
To avoid clogging up my hard drive, I was keeping the photos - about 4,000 of them on a separate portable drive, a 1TB MyPassport for Mac drive with - indeed, a USB2. So it sounds like the size of my images and this slow transfer is probably a big part of my problem.
I have just upgraded my macbook pro to a new 15" 8GB with a 256 SSD. And I would like to set up properly. I still would prefer not to have all the photos reside on my hard drive. I also have an iMac with a much larger drive, so I guess I could keep the catalog and the photos on it instead - but I don't like to work in my basement space where the desktop is....thus why I've been using laptop.
Any suggestions would be most welcomed. I also have a rather large inventory of previous photos that are in jpg format to be moved from iPhoto. But that is a question for another day. My immediate challenge is to figure out a workflow that is not too slow but does not eat up my hard drive. Danielle

Verizon admits error in cancelling my order and offers no restitution

I ordered an iPhone 5 and Verizon admits that my order was automatically cancelled by mistake. I asked a Verizon representative, "who cancelled the order and why?" The Representative claimed no explanation was given for the Cancellation. According to the Representative, my order was simply cancelled by the Verizon ordering system and not directly by a person.
Instead of offering to reactivate my cancelled order, the Representative offered to create a new order and have me wait another month for iPhone 5 delivery. I explained to the Representative that reordering will be extremely inconvenient because I will out of the country. The Representative will contact her manager, but she already knows from past experience that her manager will not do anything to help me.
Verizon is now charging me for an iPhone 5 plan except without an iPhone 5. Verizon profits from their mistakes and offers no restitution, except to say they are "sorry for the inconvenience." If I thought other cell-phone carriers treat their customer with more respect than Verizon, I would switch to another carrier, but I have my doubts about other carriers.
I am considering just living without the expense and inconvenience of an iPhone plan. I am disgusted with the way Verizon treats their customers. Their attitude is their problem is your responsibility so just live with it.

What do you mean by an 'iPhone 5 plan"? When you placed your order, were you upgrading from a basic phone?

No encuentro contraseña certificado .p12 AIR 3.2 for iOS

Baje un certificado de la pagina de apple developer (.p12) y adobe Flash Professional Cs6 me pide una contraseña del certificado que no logro encontrar.
Quien sabe de donde se saca esa contraseña o como se realiza esto?

Podrías indicar que estas intentando hacer y a qué corresponde ese panel que adjuntas?
Se supone que los Certificados p12 los genera cada usuario para uso propio, y es en ese proceso donde hay que crear una contraseña para utilizar el certificado.
Quizás no tenga que ver con tu caso, pero adjunto, toda una serie de pasos que hay que efectuar para generar los certificados p12, -también habrá que crear unos archivos de mobileprovision- para poder publicar una app en el Apple Store. Por cierto, tambien hay que estar subscrito (pago anual de 100US$) al Programa de Desarollador iOS de Apple:
Crear una petición de firma (Signing) de Certificado de Desarrollo (Development)
Entra en la ventana de Apple Developer a Certificates Identifiers&Profiles, introduce tu Apple ID.
Pulsa en Certificados a la izqda.
Pulsa en Development (Desarrollo) situado debajo
Pulsa en el icono + en la parte superior derecha para empezar a crear un certificado
Abrir la utilidad Keychain Access (en la capeta de Utilidades de Aplicaciones del OSX)
Pulsar en la categoria de My Certificates, a la izqda.
Pulsa en un area en blanco en la ventana de la dcha. para evitar que se seleccione una clave o certificado existente.
Escoge en Keychain Access>Certificate Assistant>Request a Certificate from a Certificate Authority
En la ventana que aparece de Asistente de Certificado rellena los 2 primeros campos, deja la dirección email vacía y selecciona Guardar en Disco.
Pulsa en Continuar
Dale un nombre a esta Solicitud (request) de Certificado de firma, indica donde se guarda.
Pulsa entonces en Hecho (Done)
Una vez creada esta solicitud hay que enviarla al iOS Provisioning Portal para crear ese certificado.
Ahora, en el panel de Apple Developer pulsa en Continuar, llegarás a Generar tu Certificado, en esa ventana verás un botón de Escoger archivo, selecciona el guardado en pasos anteriores (haz 2x clic en su nombre).
Pulsa entonces en Generar.
Se genera el certificado de Desarrollo. Pulsa Descargar (Download) para hacerlo en un lugar preciso.
Este certificado se llama ios_development.cer
Este archivo es imprescindible para crear el certificado p12 en la Utilidad de Keychain Access
Crear el Certificado de Desarrollo p12:
A traves del Finder localiza este archivo .cer y haz 2x clic, se abrira la Utilidad de claves Keychain Access e instala el certificado.
Selecciona en el panel izqdo. Keys, en el centro aparecen sus nombres pulsa con el botón derecho (o pulsando Ctrl) la clave privada asociada a este certificado y escoge Exportar en el menú emergente.
Guarda la clave en el formato p12, en un lugar preciso, utilizado para todas estas claves) añadir una contraseña. (Guardar esta en lugar seguro por si se olvida, porque no hay forma de recuperarla).
Por último la utilidad de Keychain Access solicita la clave de Administrador del ordenador.
Introducir esta clave y pulsar en Allow (Permitir).
De esta forma se completa la generación del Certificado p12 de Desarrollador, hay que repetir todo el proceso para la Distribución.

Cada uno de uds necesitan un Apple ID diferente. Sacale un nuevo Apple ID a tu esposa. En iCloud en el 4 haz logout, y luego entra las credenciales del APple ID nuevo.
