No measures shown

Hi,
Currently working with a currency conversion problem on a cube. Now I have it working in a demo situation but now I'm building this in a customer solution. The problem is that the Measures is empty when nothing is selected.....This happens with all the measures.
I've a input currency and a reporting currency dimension. Together the seem to be working but when I remove one of the dimensions the measures are not shown. Any one a Idea?
Greetz,
Hennie

Let me answer this question myself....
I changed the Isaggregatable of the Currency and the reporting currency Dimension to False and because of that, there is no All member defined and therefore browsing is restricted (filtered) by this constrained. Correct?
I changed the Isaggregatble to True and now I've more data. Still not perfect. For one measure I'm browsing gives no data back...Yet..hmmm...It seems to have something to do with no data (Null, empty) for a period. When i select a period when there is data
and the measure gives me data back
And the solution I come up with now is also not a desired solution..(Isaggregatable to True)

  • APO key figures - units of measure

    I am using APO V5.1.
    Via RSA1 I have created a key figure of data type Quantity and unit = 0UNIT.
    I have assigned this key figure to my planning area and planning book.
    The planning area has unit of measure = CAS, and this is the unit of measure shown for my new key figure in interactive planning.
    How can I change the unit of measure for my new key figure to D(ays)?
    Thanks for any advice...

    Datta,
    Thanks for this reply.
    I have followed your advice...
    I have a key figure with data type 'Number'.
    In interactive planning, this key figure is appearing with a blank uom.
    In the planning book design, on the 'key figure attributes' tab, I cannot however make any changes to the key figure attributes including uom, as they are greyed out.
    Any ideas on this?
    Thanks...

  • Measurement issues in Illustrator CC2014

    Weird issue i just noticed and ive never experienced before upgrading to 2014.  When i type in measurements for a shape, in this case a rectangle, the vector object that is created is not to those exact dimensions.
    I am frequently creating dielines or using my linework to export to rendering software to build shapes and it absolutely must be exact.  I understand it being off once you get a few decimenl places in, but, to be off at the measurement shown below is not acceptable.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

  • Measure tree

    Hi all,
    could anyone please explain the functionality of the measure tree in the management cockpit. Are formulas of calculated measures shown there in a graphical way? I have a calculated measure in a query and I integrated this measure into a frame (tachometer). However, when I click the measure tree icon (based on the query) in presentation mode, only the calculated measure is shown, but not its factors, i.e. there is no tree.
    Moreover, what’s the purpose of connecting a measure of a measure catalog to a graphic frame when designing that frame in SEM-CPM-MC?
    Thomas

    Hi,
    It's been a while since you posted the question but I'll put the answer for anyone stopping by...
    The measure tree in a MC it's very useful and it give's you the hability to see the primary ratios that create the tachomecher for example seen in the main window of the management cockpit, but you have to create a very precise query to get the results:
    1. Create a new structure in the row and create the hierarchy that you want to see in the measure tree
         You can put for example a formula based on 2 selections, one for example to measure the p&l of a division and another for another division. Then put in the formula, for example: division1 + division2.
    2. On the columns, put only one ration and only one: amount or quantity for example.
    3. Now, when you click on the measure tree you'll see a tree with the amounts of each division and the total, as you wanted.
    You'll see the results as the image I have included on the post.
    I hope it can be useful to anyone else.

  • Measurement hierarchy from Essbase to BIEE physical layer

    According to official documents, the measurement hierarchy from Essbase should be imported as one flat level on Physical layer in OBIEE Administration. However, after importing, I can't see those measurements shown ! What I can see is the "Measure" dimension which has 5 gen of hierarchy~
    What I want is to put the measurements (e.g. unit sold / unit sold (east region) / unit sold (west region) / unit count / sales per week .... ) to presentation layer for users. How can I handle this? Is there anything I miss while building the cube in essbase?
    Since my essbase has just been upgraded from v.6 to v.11.
    Does anyone can help? THANKS A LOT !

    Welcome to the wonderful world of OBIEE/Essbase integration!
    Your "Measure" dimension basically should be your Account dimension of Type "Accounts". When a dimension has that type, it will automatically become the "fact" in the flattened out representation in the physcial layer.
    Funny that you mention this since I anyways wanted to blog a bt more on this since I got quite some questions recently (for all who were there: result of that nice discussion in Brighton), since you may have multiple measure hierarchies and then there's a bit more config to do ;-)
    Update:
    I just saw your other post and I'm a bit confused now. You state you have the "Measure" table which I assume means you have it in the BMM layer already. As of 10.1.3.3.2. if you import Essbase metadata, you can just drag and drop it from physical to BMM to presentation layer and the models and presentation tables are created automatically. Not much manual intervention needed (initially, but you'll do a lot of modification afterwards).

  • Calculated Items and Action Links (OBIEE 11g)

    Hi,
    On OBIEE 11g here...
    I have an anaylsis which shows a pivot table with only 6 columns of calculated items, with all of the standard columns hidden. The split of the pivot has been achieved using a variable created using the bin function.
    I have set an action link on the measure shown in the pivot table to navigate to another analysis and, while clicking on one of the measures in a pivot column runs the specified report, it is not run using the the necessary parameters required to match the dataset shown in that particular column.
    Is it possible to drill to a separate report and pass through the required filters from a measure showing in a calculated item, as it would be on a measure showing in a standard pivot table column?
    Thanks,
    Ang

    You need to have 'Is Prompted' for that specific measure. I would suggest to use action links on other columns instead of metrics.
    Pls mark as correct/helpful if helps

  • Why are the file sizes of exported jpegs so small?

    I shoot raw, studio portraits mostly. I import to Lightroom 5 as DNG and then edit. Upon exporting as jpegs, the file sizes end up way too small, some of the cropped and/or black & white conversions as small as 560 KB, even with slider to 100%. Un-cropped color photos are ending up from 1.5 to 3MB. What am I doing wrong?

    Jim,
    Thank you for your response. I think some of the difficulties in this thread are that there have been more than one person reporting issues, which may or may not be exactly the same or different from the initial one reported by the original poster. Then, anyone else commenting can easily intermix bits and pieces from any or all of the other posters interrelated issues. Also, I should have added to my last response in clarification what I meant about the overall dimensions. I was referring specifically to inches, not file size, not resolution.
    My very first post was a thank you to Rusty's post for his comment about how he had noticed his Resolution setting had been changed from ppi to ppcm. I didn't say anything about printing. In fact, I never even stated what my issue was. I was merely thanking him for sharing information. So, for anyone to tell me that I didn't know what my issue is, that I didn't understand was quite laughable to me. And then the other two posters were almost equally ridiculous, who said that since they didn't experience the same conditions as myself and another person, it couldn't be a programming error.
    Trust me, I understand explicitly about resolution, image size, dimensions, file size and how they are all interrelated. Resolution is essentially the density of pixels. (And I'm still used to dpi vs ppi, that's how long I've been working with the concept.) I often help other people understand in whichever mode is most comfortable for them to grasp the knowledge of how to know what size image they need/want to capture and print depending on the types of measurements shown on their equipment used and by whomever they might be working with for finish work.
    I have a set process, I have set image sizes, I have an action recorded in Photoshop to shrink my images to 24" x 36" and save them in the proper folder with the proper name and another to shrink them to 8" x 12" and place them in the proper folder with the proper name. I am meticulous, so when the first image imported into Photoshop and it was 18.898" x 28.346", un-cropped, I couldn't figure it out. The file size was still just as large, the resolution was still 72, I hadn't changed any settings in Lightroom or Photoshop, the ONLY thing I had done was install an update. It didn't make sense to me that with the pixel dimensions still being the normal size, all of the sudden the inch dimensions were smaller. And I did need to be able to have the capability for a larger print size if/when I do want to print.
    I hope that I'm being clear now. I really was just trying to post a thank you initially. I hadn't expected all of this excess.
    I apologize for the troll statement. It wasn't meant for you directly, it was more for the grouping of comments which in my opinion didn't seem to be useful for the discussion and were instead just baiting. I shouldn't have allowed my bad mood to permeate my own comment regardless. I am also sorry for any other statements I made which might have come across wrong. I was trying to be funny with my first comment about programmers, but it might not have come across that way. I hadn't expected the rude and unnecessary comment back which I received, and that's where the trollish comments came from. That's why I only responded to that person once, despite the string of poking posts.

  • How to change ruler guide to custom units

    I have changed the line grid to a custom size by this code:
    InterfacePtr<IUnitOfMeasureSettings> iUOMPref((IUnitOfMeasureSettings*)::QueryPreferences(IID_IUNITOFMEASURESETTINGS, pDoc->GetUIDRef()));
    iUOMPref->SetVertCustomPoints(gridDivision);
    where gridDivision is my number of points. This works.
    Now I'd like to apply the same unit to the vertical ruler guide. The value is already applied to custom units, but the measurement shown is still millimeters.
    What is the right way to switch to custom units?
    Thanks!

    Unfortunately, the last change did not update the vertical ruler immediately. So I decided to use a boss command:
    /* set line grid to user defined size (gridDivision):*/
    InterfacePtr<IUnitOfMeasureSettings> iUOMPref((IUnitOfMeasureSettings*)::QueryPreferences(IID_IUNITOFMEASURESETTINGS, pDoc->GetUIDRef()));
    iUOMPref->SetVertCustomPoints(gridDivision);
    /* set vertical ruler to user defined size:*/
    InterfacePtr<ICommand> smuCmd( CmdUtils::CreateCommand( kSetMeasureUnitsCmdBoss ) );
    if( !smuCmd )
        return false;
    InterfacePtr<IMeasureUnitsCmdData> smuData( smuCmd, IID_IIMEASUREUNITSCMDDATA );
    if( !smuData )
        return false;
    smuData->Set( pDoc->GetUIDRef(),
                    iUOMPref->GetYUnitOfMeasure(),
                       kRulerCustomMSBoss,
                       iUOMPref->GetTextUnitOfMeasure(),
                       iUOMPref->GetTextSizeUnitOfMeasure(),
                       iUOMPref->GetPrintUnitOfMeasure(),
                       iUOMPref->GetLineUnitOfMeasure(),
                       iUOMPref->GetHorzCustomPoints(),
                       gridDivision,
                       iUOMPref->GetKeyNudgeInc() ,
                       iUOMPref->GetPointsPerInch());
    if (CmdUtils::ProcessCommand(smuCmd) != kSuccess)
        return false;
    Works fine.

  • Your experience wanted: SE30: low number of calls, high nettime

    Hi,
    this question is to find out more examples based on your experience:
    During performance analysis with SE30 i came across the following in 2 cases:
    All options on the statements tab where set (internal tables, ...).
    The Hitlist showed a significant time consumer FM with
    - a low number of executions (e.g. 1)
    - a high gross time (e.g. 5.5 seconds)
    - a high net time (e.g. 5.4 seconds)
    A closer look (debugger, sourcecode) revealed this was due to:
    - implicit sort of a big internal table (sorted_table = unsorted_stanard_table)
    or in the second case:
    - call transformation (itab to xml with some ST programm)
    I would like to know if you are aware of more such examples of significant time consumers
    not showing up in the SE30 hitlist.
    Kind regards,
    Hermann

    Hi Anette,
    thanks for that hint. Indeed i haven't done that. However, neither the implicit sort, nor the call transformation shows up their times are included in Net of F2 and F1. This is how SE30 Hitlist looks looks like without any filters: (top lines only...)

  • Measure Values are not shown in the pivot tables

    Measures without aggregation (in rpd) are not shown in pivot table.
    Im trying to add multiple columns in the fact table as measures,one which is summable had has the SUM function and three which are not summable.
    The initial report will be as follows and I have been able to get the data displayed.
    Year | Month| Company Name| SUM(C1)| C2|C3
    However if I pivot the table as follows data in column C2 and C3 are not Displayed.
    Columns
         Year
              Month
              Company
    Rows
    Measure Lablel
    Measures
         SUM(C1)
                   C2
                   C3
    Should we have an aggregation rule applued in C2 and C3 ?

    Yes, all the column entries must have agg rule. You can specify one such as 'first' in the pivot table.

    I tried checking all properties, but could not find the root cause.
    Can anyone please help me in this problem.

    Hi,
    I order the display the missing key figures - you need to e.g. right click on Key Figures in the Filter section and press Select filter values. Here you should be able to add you missing key figures to the selection. You can also just right click Key figures in the filter section and click Remove filter.

  • How do I get "Measured EV" EXIF field shown/filtered in Aperture?

    I have 80000 photos in my Aperture library, from a host of different digicams, but mostly from Canon Powershot G's.  I'd like to be able to select from the library all photos within a particular range of Exposure Value (shutter speed, aperture, and ISO which yields the equivalent exposure - NOT the EV bias).  Using EXIFTool, I have confirmed that a great many of my photos have the "Measured EV" field populated with the correct value given the shutter/aperture also in the EXIF.  Aperture allows me to show the "Measured EV" metadata field in various tooltips or Viewer custom configs.  However, when I filter my entire library for a non-empty "Measured EV" EXIF field, I get exactly zero results.   So, why does Aperture apparent ignore/miss this EXIF field, even though it purports that it reads it???

    Thanks @ComputerWhiz - and apologies for the delay in responding.
    I disabled Googlebar Lite, and then checked Show All History. I found that things were unchanged: I could search for an item and it would appear, but if I select all items from "this month", those items with a blank name field still didn't show up.
    Even if creating an entry with a blank name is not "good practice", I'd argue that Show All History should do just that in all cases, not just when a search term thows up a match.
    I'm relieved that it's not Googlebar Lite interferring with the History display, though. Its word seach buttons (that disappeared when Google Toolbar for Firefox was withdrawn) are an essential part of using search, IMO...

  • Triggerring PXI-4110 to measure 1 current value while HSDIO PXI-6552 generating waveform

    Hi,
    Some question about PXI-4110 to measure current while PXI-6552 is generating the waveform.
    1. Let say, I need to measure 3 points of current values, i.e. while PXI-6552 is generating sample-1000, 2000 and 3500. On the edge of sample 1000,2000 and 3500, the PXI-6552 will send a pulse via PFI line or via PXI backplane trigger line. My question is, is it possible to trigger PXI-4110 (hardware trigger or software trigger) to measure current values at these points ?
    2. Let say I need to measure the current on 0ms (start of waveform generation by PXI-6552) , 1ms, 2ms, 3ms, 4ms... and so on for 1000 points of measurement, code diagram as shown at the figure below. It is possible for the VI "niDCPower Measure Multiple" to measure exactly at 1ms, 2ms, 3ms .. ? How much time will have to spend to complete acquire 1 point of measurement by "niDCPower Measure Multiple" ?
    Thanks for viewing this post. Your advice on hardware used or software method is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi engwei,
    1. Unfortunately, the 4110 does not support hardware triggering. Therefore you cannot implement direct triggering through the backplane or anything like that. However, there are a couple of possible workarounds you can try:
    a) Use software triggering: Say your 6552 is generating in one while loop, and your 4110 is to measure in another while loop. You can use a software syncrhonization method like notifiers to send a notification to your 4110 loop when your 6552 has generated the desired sample. This method, however, will not be very deterministic because the delay between the trigger and the response depends on your processor speed and load. Therefore, if you have other applications running in the background (like antivirus) it will increase the delay.
    b) Use hardware triggering on another device: If you have another device that supports hardware triggering (like maybe an M-series multifunction DAQ module), you can configure this device to be triggered by a signal from the 6552, perform a very quick task (like a very short finite acquisition) then immediately execute the DCPower VI to perform the measurement. The trigger can be configured to be re-triggerable for multiple usage. This will most likely have a smaller time delay then the first option, but there will still be a delay (the time it takes to perform the short finite acquisiton on the M-series). Please refer to the attached screenshot for an idea of how to implement this.
    2. To make your 4110 measure at specific time intervals, you can use one of the methods discussed above. As for how long it will take to acquire 1 measurement point, you may find this link helpful: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/7034
    This article is meant for the PXI-4130 but the 4110 has the same maximum sampling rate (3 kHz) and so the section discussing the speed should apply for both devices.
    Under the Software Measurement Rate section, it is stated that the default behavior of the VI is to take an average of 10 samples. This corresponds to a maximum sampling rate of 300 samples/second. However, if you configure it to not do averaging (take only 1 sample) then the maximum rate of 3000 samples/second can be achieved.
    It is also important to note that your program can only achieve this maximum sampling rate if your software loop takes less time to execute than the actual physical sampling. For example, if you want to sample at 3000 samples/second, that means that taking one sample takes 1/3000 seconds or 333 microseconds. If you software execution time is less than 333 microseconds, then you can achieve this maximum rate (because the speed is limited by the hardware, not the software). However, if your software takes more than 333 microseconds to execute, then the software loop time will define the maximum sampling rate you can get, which will be lower than 3000 samples/second.
    I hope this answers your question.
