No media listed in device sync?

I recently moved all my music to a single folder. I then created a new library. All of the media (music, ringtones, video) are present and playable in iTunes. However, when I go to sync my phone, no media is present in the device sync fields. What am I missing?

That is right, the media is not missing. All of my music, ringtones, books, apps are visible. I can switch between media by clicking on the media types listed under library on the sidebar. I can listen to music, make playlist, make genius playlist, and all the other fun stuff iTunes was designed to do, except sync with my phone.
When trying to sync the phone, I connect the phone to the computer using a USB cable. After a few seconds a new catagory appears in the sidebar labled "Devices." The name of my phone appears under the Devices heading along with a battery power symbol and an eject button. I then click on my phone and the iTunes screen changes to a sync screen with ten tabs across the top (Summary, Info, Apps, Tones, Music, TV Shows, etc). There is also a memory usage bar across the bottom and a sync button.
The Summary screen contains information about my phone and the memory usage bar seems to be correct. The Apps, iTunes U, Photos, and books tabs are active and will show me the media that are available to sync.
My problem is the the Tones tab and the Music tab are empty of any media. All options are grayed out except for a check box in the top left corner labled Sync Tones or Sync Music, respectively. When I click this check box I get a message warning me that the tones/music on my phone will be erased and replaced by the selected media. There is no media to be selected.
How do I get my tones and music to show up on the Sync tabs?

Select the device, click Music tab and select the playlists to sync.

You don't import photos from the iPhone to your computer using iTunes.

Note this only applies to photos taken with the iPhone. Any photos you previously added to your iPhone using iTunes should be copied from old computer to new computer.

Sorry, you can't extract those photos from the old device unless you restore the new phone from that backup.
You could of course use a third party software to extract those pics but it will cost you.
If you still have the old phone import those pics to your computer and then sync those photos to your new phone via itunes.

Syncing all media across Mac Devices

Hello,
Ok, so I have a Mac Mini with OSX Lion, an iPhone 4S and am about to purchase a Macbook Air.
My questions:
1. How do I access and sync all of my media across all devices? (This includes, emails, documents, music, videos and apps)
2. Am I able to re-download purchased TV Shows from iTunes music store on other devices? If so, how?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Go to www.ecamm.com and d/l PhoneView.
To prevent a sync when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - hold down the 'option' and the 'command' keys when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - key the keys down until the iPod/iPhone is listed under the Devices list in iTunes - this will prevent a sync from taking place.
With PhoneView you can take the content from the device to the iTunes library.

3rd gen. nano fails Device Sync in Diagnostic Tests - Nike+ Run won't sync

I have not been having any trouble with my nano, iPhone 3G, or my wife's Touch until three days ago. Then, after a run, I tried to sync the nano (to upload my workout data) and it would not work. The iPod shows the workout and iTunes shows the workout in the Nike+ tab inside the iPod tree. However, the run still won't upload to Nike's site.
This cause me to look for solutions through iTunes. When I try to sync the nano, it only shows the sync info on iTunes for a second before saying "iPod sync is complete Eject before disconnecting" and my iPod shows the spinning sync icon for a little longer, but not long enough to sync. So, I ran the diagnostic tests through iTunes and the Device Sync Test. Results: No iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad found. Does this test only check for "touch devices"?

My ipad2 and iphone 4 are listed as devices even when they are not plugged into my macbook in itunes and can be synced remotely. I cannot seem to figure out why my iphone 5 will not show up the same way. It works fine when it is connected via USB. Any help would be appreciates!

Device List - Multiple Devices

I've been watching my device list lately and I've seen a number of listed online devices that I do not recognize and the ones that I do are no where in the area for them to be even connected or trying to connect. For instance, my daughter's iPhone is listed as online and I know she's not at home or in the area for it to connect because she's at work and has her iPhone with her. I have MAC filtering tuned on and only allow certain listed MAC addresses to access the router. Why would those online devices be there when they shouldn't. I also tried restarting the router as well as refrehing the device list and they keep reshowing up. Can "spoofing" those MAC addresses actually occur and if so, how, since I have MAC filtering turned on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What's the model number of your SmartWifi router? It could be that the Device List did not sync well with the router. I suggest that you upgrade the router's firmware and reboot the router to refresh the settings. Using DHCP reservation to all client devices will also help.

8820 Media list won't refresh

I tend to update my media list everyday. I keep audio books on it and a few tunes to get me through the rough patches at work. Last night, when I removed the current audio book chapters and loaded the next 3, something odd happened. The old files were recognized and would not play (as to be expected, they aren't there anymore), but the new files weren't there. I have well over a gig left on the card, I rebooted, I removed the card and rebooted, I turned media card support off, rebooted, and turned it on, checked my settings, and even tried to delete the phantom files via the Media folder on my 8820. The blasted thing just won't refresh its list. I even removed EVERYTHING off of my phone that I had put on it, and it was still seeing old files, but unable to open them. What should I do?

I finally caught up with you from the other forum
When you say you have rebooted was that powereing off or
Pull the battery while the device is ON, replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min.
If you havn't tried the battery pull, I would start there.

Media card vs. device membory

Can't import pictures from the device to my computer. When selecting Pictures on Desktop Manager the Device Options screen is not displayed. Instead, the message reads "Media Storage is not available. Please check that a media card is installed correctly in your Blackberry device and that mass storage is turned on."
I don't have a media card. The pictures are in the device memory, but the option to select "Store media on" is not available. I turned media card support to Off on the device but that didn't solve the problem.
How do I import from Device Memory to a folder on my desktop?

Hiya!
Unfortunately for this specific function, you need a memory card.
One thing you can try is plug your phone into your computer, (if windows) go to "computer" and see if yoru device is listed as "devices with removable storage" open that and see if you can pull them out.
If not, you are going to need to get yourself a memory card.
