No memory available

Hi,
I came across an error that seems simple but I cant solve the issue. I could'nt pull the startup config from an AP via Cisco works so I connected to it and tryed to do a show startup-configuration. But when I did this, the following error occurred:
"%No memory available"
Any ideas?
PS: Show running-configuration works fine.

Please help, my iMac is running slow and plenty of memory available? I tried reading some of these forums to see what to do, I have already deleted all of my downloads that were stored in the downloads file. Not sure what to do next, I ran the etrecheck and here is the following info from the scan:

So I looked up the info on OWC as suggested and found the correct memory to upgrade but not sure how much to get and which option? I wanted to know how much space I have available to upgrade so I don't buy something that's more than what can be used. I'm not sure if I need 4GB or 8GB of ram? Also there are two options with every memory choice for instance:
    8.0GB PC3-10600 1333MHZ SO Kit (4GB + 4GB) w/Lifetime Limited Warranty
    Same Day
    $78.79
    8.0GB PC3-10600 SO-DIMM 204 Pin w/Lifetime Limited Warranty
    Same Day
    $82.79
Not sure what the difference is in the two and which I would need to purchase? Thank you for all your help!

Bug in IOS Version? More RAM is not possible in SUP720-3BXL.
    Thanks,
    Thomas

    > Tracebacks and BGP flapping are not necessarily related.
BGP flapps because there was no more RAM available. (according to the log "ip cef was disabled" because of low memory) After reactivating "ip cef distributed" the BGP sessions becomes stable.
    > After the IOS upgrade, did you see any more Tracebacks?
I did not see any tracebacks in the log. Because of having much lower memory available with the new image (only 10-15MB RAM after booting) I decide to downgrade and boot with the previous version.

  • The amount of free SGA memory available in the database

    Hi,
How can we calculate the amount of free SGA memory available from the instance if the database is not set for Memory management. If the sga_max_size is set for a particular value and the db_cache_size and the shared_pool and all other components are specified, how can one determine whether all the memory allocated for SGA is in use?

How can we calculate the amount of free SGA memory available from the instance if the database is not set for Memory management. When the SGA is allocated, the memory is fixed, and none of it is "free" really.
how can one determine whether all the memory allocated for SGA is in use? Are you asking about usage WITHIN the pools? If so, shortly after startup the database buffer and shared_pool will fill-up and stay full . . . . .
Here is the script that I use to see inside the data buffer contents:
    set pages 999
    set lines 80
    spool blocks.lst
    ttitle 'Contents of Data Buffers'
    drop table t1;
    create table t1 as

    where
    o.object_id = bh.objd
    and
    o.owner not in ('SYS','SYSTEM')
    group by
    o.object_name,
    o.object_type
    order by

    column c2 heading "Object|Type" format a12
    column c3 heading "Number of|Blocks" format 999,999,999,999
    column c4 heading "Percentage|of object|data blocks|in Buffer" format 999
    select
    object_name c1,
    object_type c2,
    num_blocks c3,
    (num_blocks/decode(sum(blocks), 0, .001, sum(blocks)))*100 c4
    from
    t1,
    dba_segments s
    where
    s.segment_name = t1.object_name

    num_blocks > 10

  • I am trying to purchase os x lion from app store. Getting a response saying I need 2GB memory available but I have at least 40GB free space??

I am trying to purchase os x lion from app store. Getting a response saying I need 2GB memory available but I have at least 40GB free space??

Memory = Ram, the 40G free space you are referring to is hard drive storage space available, 2 very different things.
In order to run Lion you MUST have at least a Core 2 Duo processor and 2G of Ram, to find out whether you qualify (and it seems as though you don't) go to
Apple>About this Mac: you will be able to see the processor type and Ram installed thus
If you have less than 2G of Ram you can install more, if however you have a Core Duo (instead of Core 2 Duo) you can not run Lion.

  • Could not Purchase (desired tune). There is not enough memory available.

There's nothing wrong with the 1 gig of memory in my G4 Powerbook, and I've made no system changes in the last 6 months, but today when I tried to purchase a tune from the iTunes Store, instead of working normally like it has always worked in the past, iTunes 7.6.1 gave this cryptic error message:
"Could not purchase (the tune I selected). There is not enough memory available. There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."
What gives? This is truly bizarre; no other apps running; fresh reboot; has the iTunes online store's server at Cupertino lost its memory? Bizarre

Thanks Mike; I'm not interested in upgrading beyond 10.3.9, either. I'll wait and see if they fix it. It would seem logical that they would not want that defect to cause lost sales worldwide.
If they don't fix it, I'll just stop buying music online. If a system upgrade is necessary to use the new itunes in order to buy music, the system upgrade ought to be free.

  • Error window "could not write the file. There is not enough scratch memory available

When I try to use the "save for web" I get this error window. I have deleted several files and have over 700 GB of memory available on my local C drive. I have had PS CC for over a year and have never seen this before. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi AndreaJ,
If it cannot create a temp file, which indeed is tied to the limitations for 32bit apps and in Save for Web cannot exceed 2GB,
That's what it's telling you, and this has absolutely nothing to do with your system swap file.
A possible solution may be to manually flatten the file before exporting or it might also help to clean up the Drive you are using as Scratch disk.

  • Photoshop CS3 "Not enough scratch memory available" error.

    Hi,
I am Using Adobe Photoshop CS3 Version 10.0 and I keep getting the error "Not enough Scratch memory available to perform this action" whenever I try to Save a .psd file to a .jpg/.jpeg file.
I did go to Edit -> Preferences -> Performance, and add my other two partitions as scratch disks, also put up my E: drive as the primary scratch disk on the top of the list (Which has 80GB's of space) but I still keep getting this error.
My file (the .psd that i am trying to save to a .jpg) has a total size of 56MB and 300dpi with 4 or 5 layers in it and the target jpg file is supposed to be 12inches by 20inches.
Some other things I have tried is celaring the %temp% folder, Defragmenting my Hard Drive(s), Disk Cleanup, set my System Page file to 4GB, but all this is of no use.
I know that I have enough RAM and Hard disk space so please help me get rid of this problem.
Also, this maybe a stupid question but, does the type of RAM and Processor you are using effect this? I have a DDR RAM.. 2GB, I know its outdated, its our office computer I am working on.. My Processor is a Core 2 Duo which isnt bad.

  • How to get the amount of memory available programmatically?

    Hello,
Out of memory is a very common situation occures in most applications. I was wondering if there is a way to find the amount of free memory available programmatically, it can atleast help a little. There are System class's functions but are not very full-proof. So can there be any other way?

  • The iPhone could not be restored. There is not enough memory available.

    Hi guys,
you all seem the be fairly acquainted with all possible iPhone problems. I was searching this forum for an answer to my problem. iTunes won't restore my iPhone because of an error mentioned in the title of this topic - The iPhone could not be restored. There is not enough memory available. I haven't found anything on the net that I haven't tried yet.
Am using Windows XP, iTunes 7.4.3 and the iPhone used to be on the firmware 1.0.2. I was trying to do the restore but it gave me that error message. I tryed uninstalling everything with WinASO registry cleaner, iTunes, apple device thing(or whatever), installed it 3 times, tried to force the previous firmware with Shift+restore, but nothing. I also tried to switch USB ports. I followed the instruction on how to remove iTunes exactly like it was described in another thread - no success.
Is there any help you can maybe provide, but don't tell me to go/send it to an Apple Store, since I live in Europe, where there is no official iPhone yet.
    PLease help

    Hi,
is there a newer version of iTunes than 7.4.3, which I am already using ?
    I don't think so.
And no, the iPhone has not been hacked before, I was using it like iPod, internet browser and stuff. But no calls.
My version of iTunes say 7.4.3.1.
I assume that by saying that your iPhone has not been hacked before means "it has never been hacked."
Are you paying AT&T for monthly service?
I would still try to download a fresh copy of iTunes if possible.
If it does not work, I think that you need to take the iPhone back to the Apple Store or call AppleCare for assistance. The store, and AppleCare, has a number of software tools to potentially diagnose the problems you are encountering.

  • "The Finder does not have enough memory available"

"The Finder does not have enough memory available"
Situation: G4 (AGP Graphics), OS 9.0 with tons of memory.
Problem: Only with any browser viz Explorer, Communicator, iCab or Opera (all versions). Starts off fine. I have broadband. Then steadily goes slower and slower till virtually stops even with just the one browser and one window and no other programs in use. Try to do anything else and above message appears. The problem seems to involves the operating system and the way it interacts with the code of certain sites eg Ebay. It has nothing to do with PRAM, or allocation of memory to the browser or deleting various Preferences. The deletion of Finder, Memory etc Preferences, quitting, restarting all deal with the symptoms and are not a permanent cure. The primary symptom is a massive loss of available memory, not even enough to run a single browser and one window! Any simple solutions? I realise I can upgrade to OS 9.2. Will this work? Apart from this browser problem I am happy with my present set so is there a simpler solution apart from upgrading?

Thankyou to all for the welcome and your responses to my query.
I have 640mb of RAM. The problem is intermitent and is determined to a great extent by the sites which I visit. Yahoo for example is great - no problems. In another window visiting eg Ebay will eventually (variable) cause a slowdown. I have switched Virtual Memory on and off, changed cache, program allocations of memory, regularly used Norton Utilies to inspect, repair, defrag etc and looked all over the place for advice. Things run great for a while but it is only a question of time , months or even days, before the problem re-appears. I was surprised to find so little about it on the Web. Perhaps everyone else has upgraded or is on OS X! If I could have done something without upgrading I may have gone for that option as everything else is running like a dream and I want to keep it that way! I use programs such as Paperport (sadly not made for OS X) which I find a marvellous scanning and paperwork management program. To get it to work with OS 9.0 I had to determine with Cassidy & Green's marvellous extension conflict identifier Conflict Catcher that the Control Strip needed disabling. If I upgrade, I could, for Paperport et al, upset the Apple cart! I have also read about a program called Reaper which was used to deal, I believe, with Finder memory problems with OS 7 and OS 8. It is still available on at http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macos/3783 Apart from this I know nothing more at present about it.
However, the following was one item which I found of great interest which goes along with your advice of upgrading.
    From http://www.icab.de/faq.html#q36
"Mac OS 8/9: Why does iCab 3.0 complain that it is running out of memory all the time?
This is not a bug of iCab, it's a bug of the "classic" MacOS 8.5/8.6 (and maybe OS 9.0 as well). The problem occurs when a web page has web forms with text input fields. The Unicode text input fields (MLTE) of these old MacOS releases do still have some serious bugs. One of theses bugs causes the MacOS to reserve almost all available memory for these text edit fields so there's no memory left for iCab. Apple has fixed this bug in MacOS 9.2.x (maybe in 9.1 as well), so the best solution for this problem would be to upgrade the MacOS. If this is not possible, you can disable the Unicode text input fields in the preferences dialog of iCab in the panel "Operation > Browser, Tabs". Switch off the option "Use Unicode TextEdit" to configure iCab so that it will use the "ancient" text edit fields, which do work OK, but which do not support Unicode".
Here is someone with a similar problem back in 2000:
    "From TacitRF
    Date: Thurs, Jun 8 2000 12:00am
    Email: [email protected] (TacitR)
    Groups: comp.sys.mac.system
This is ridiculous! I have hardly touched this machine today. Does RAM get eaten up while the computer is sitting there idle (and sleeping every now and then after I've checked email or looked at a couple newsgroup posts)?
Yes, it can, under certain circumstances.
Open your TCP/IP control panel. Click the Options button. (If there is no Options button, select Edit->User Mode, and click "Advanced.") Is "Load Only When Needed" turned on? If it is, you may severly fragment the memory in your computer every time you start a program that uses the Internet. Let's say, for example, you launch Netscape. Netscape tries to access the Internet. This causes TCP/IP to load, on top of Netscape. Now, when you quit Netscape, the memory it was using may not get freed up. Launch Outlook. It loads TCP/IP. Now, when you quit Outlook, you may not get its memory back either". Try turning off Load Only When Needed in the TCP/IP Options, see if that solves
    the problem. Hope that helps!"
I find that whatever I do one way or another the slowdown will eventually reappear. A bit like weeding gardens and washing dishes! Well unless there is a way of dealing with OS 9.0 memory behaviour with browsers it looks like an upgrade will have to do!
      Mac OS 9.0.x

  • Best way to get amount of memory available?

What is the best option currently to get the amount of memory available (programatically)??  I'm using LV 2011 & 2014.

  • The iTunes library file cannot be saved. There is not enough memory available.

For about a week I've been getting this message when I'm listening to music in iTunes (usually in Cover Flow mode). I usually get the message after listening to music about 20+minutes. First the album artwork begins to "white out" or is replaced by a music note pic (like when there is no album artwork data available) and then if I don't shut iTunes down and restart it I will get the "The iTunes library file cannnot...." error message. If I continue to ignore it or click "do not show message again" box, iTunes will eventually stop responding and shut down.
My computer has 77GB of memory available.
    I've tried:
    - turning off home sharing
    - clearing cache
    - running virus scan
    - made sure there is no memory quota on
    Any help would be appreciated!
