No memory count - no bios detail display??

Just installed a new Neo2-PLS board. On power up, after the graphics card info, there is no display of any memory count (have a Cosair 512MB in channel A). Also, no BIOS details at all...just goes into the MSI display screen after a short while (1-2 mins) and then a list of Safe mode/boot normally/last good config.... came up & then restart again.
Anyone encounter that?

I think you merely need to turn off the boot logo. If I understand what you're describing, all you need to do is hit delete as soon as the MSI screen comes up. This will get you into the BIOS; there's an option in there to turn the splash screen off.

Wired memory counts up to 100%, how to find unknown process leaking memory

Hi,
On my Macbook Pro 2011, 8GB wired memory counts up to 100% over a period of 4-5 regular usage days. The more I use the macbook, the more wired memory grows until I have to restart again, otherwise the machine becomes slow because it uses the harddrive for memory. This is not normal behavior!
Attached is a screenshot of the activity monitor. I'm not able to identify the process which leaks the wired memory.
I had once an eyeopening experience: I was about to restart my macbook totally overloaded by wired memory but then I canceled the shutdown because of some reason. Some of the processes and programmes were already terminated and SURPRISE, the wired memory was down to 10%! The 8 Gb were all of a sudden shared by free, active and inactive memory, as it should be! So some process was terminated during shutdown which caused the leak and even freed all of the wired memory. I did work with the macbook for 2 more days without any memory problem. Once I restarted, the leaking problem started again.
My gut-feeling says the hole problem started when I installed VM Ware Fusion a while ago. But I did a clean uninstall.
The solution could be to identify the leaking process, but how should I do this? It is also not clear to me wether wired memory is real, virtual, private or shared memory displayed in the activity monitor. Is there any tool which identify memory leaks?
According to g_wolfman, the only process with a hugh difference between real and virtual memory is the kernel_task and the many Chrome Renderer processes. I have always 30 tabs open in chrome plus Safari (Flash disabled). I'm not able to terminate the kernel_task of course.
Is there any way to isolate the troublesome process? There is no save start mode like in Microsoft Windows possible? This would be the first think I would do, checking if the problem persists in save mode.
Disabled every start login objects btw.
See in the image the amount of wired memory compared to the processes which are active. This is NOT the smart memory management OSX is capable of.

Any suggestion? Is my system doomed to bleed to death every 3-4 days, until memory went 100% red (wired)? I would expect OS X to be smart enough to indicate memory leakers. I really do not get it.
I migrated the same settings and applications to my freshly installed (10.7.4) 2007 Macbook. There the majority of RAM is active not wired.
The only big difference is: On my 2011 Macbook Pro was VMWARE Fusion installed.

Insert record via data tab of table detail display

I am using SQL Developer 3.0.04
When I tries to insert more than 200 rows into a table via data tab of table detail display, it takes more than 8 minutes. It takes more than 19 minutes for 400+ rows. It is slow and it is not so slow in previous version (e.g. 1.5.4)
Had anyone experienced the same issue and is there any workaround (other than loading data via SQL loader and stop using SQL Developer)?

I've seen this also sometimes but i rarely load large amount of data using SQLDeveloper anyway.
Please make sure you have patch1 installed and provide information on the database used.

How do I get a "Details" display--as the default--when downloading a file, in the "Enter name of file to save to..." dialog box?

When I receive an attachment to an email, and I click it and select "Download", I get the "Enter name of file to save to..." dialog box (because I already set the option to "Always ask me where to save files." But the file display always defaults to a "List". At least recently. I don't recall it always doing that. In any case, I want it to default to a "Details" display, in ascending order, as I can then find things sooo much faster that way. (I often use the "Date Modified" tab to bring to the top the most recent version of a file.) I know that I can go to the "View Menu" icon and select "Details", but each time I go into a sub folder while in this dialog box, I have to do that all over again and it wastes a lot of time and attention.
I did some internet searches but didn't find a way to fix this.

The dialog box you are describing is controlled by Windows, not Firefox, so unfortunately Firefox cannot change what you see by default.

Customized Autoreaction messages in BPM -Emailing Detailed Display contents

Please let me know if it is feasible for emailing the contents of the detailed display in BPM via alert mail that gets triggered .
I know that there are BADI's available for enhancing the auto reaction messages.But these BADI's doesnt have the details regarding the contents of the detailed display.
Eg.I have alerts for incomplete sales documents in my BPM.
In BPM session,I will be able to view those documents only by clicking the detailed display for each alert. I wanted to know if this content(List of all sales documents) can be emailed as an attachment along with the email notification sent to the users.This way the users need not log into solution manager at all for viewing the documents.They can just view the list of incomplete sales documents in the email if it is possible to send them in an excel .

Hi,
it is technically possible to create such a solution, but so far we are only providing such a solution as part of SAP MaxAttention or SAP Safeguarding engagements where we work closely together with a customer. Anyhow attaching document information to an email is not really satisfying as the number of documents might be very large and also as it bears some security risk if the email gets outside the company or otherwise into false hands. For this reason we are evaluating if a solution can be provided in the future that allows a direct link from the email to the document list in the backend system. But I cannot say anything about a possible availability for such a solution.

CRMM_ACCOUNT - Standard vs Detail Display of Address

In the tab Addresses of application CRMM_ACCOUNT I can switch between Standard and Detail Display (after switching to Form View first).
I need to make some fields that are currently only available on the Detail Display (e.g. Street 2 and Street 3) also available on the Standard Display and am looking for a way of doing that.
Does anyone know if this is possible, and then the question would be how to achieve this?

What would be the Access Structure you refer to? If that is the same as the Screen Structure then I don't think there's a way of doing it.
I've been debugging this Address tab a few times and as far as I can see the same structure is used. It's depending on the selected Standard or Detail display that different fields are displayed.
In addition to that, a field that is not shown in the default Standard Display becomes visible if it has a value.

A sapscript or smartform can be used within any print program without any configuration.
So no table will give you exact information about the print program of sapscript or smartform.
You can find print program associated with a form (read sapscript smartform) if that form is configured with some output type. But this list will not be exhaustive. In other words there still can be other print program using the form but not listed in TNAPR table.

create a window with same margins as your table display window(main) add template with the same measurements as the table ......and specifi some height.
so that the window will be exact on the main window with the template on it ....you can observe the difference in display of smartform...by chanign the ht of the template....
and for the center display of the table values create a paragraph format and apply with center alignement.

Pavilion dv7 blue screening - HP support assistant cannot test BIOS or memory modules but BIOS can?

About a month ago my dv7 started doing something strange - during normal use (not gaming, just word processing, showing a powerpoint presentation, showing a video on youtube, etc.) the cooling fan speed would suddenly ramp up to jet-engine speed and shortly thereafter the computer would blue screen, crash dump, etc. (no, I did not write down any info from the blue screen message - I will do so next time). Having experienced a blue screen issue with a Dell laptop I thought the hard drive was going bad, because about the same time I was suddenly unable to run a backup of the hard drive. After several attempts, I was finally able to backup the hard drive, and then replaced it with a new drive, re-installed OS with my recovery flash drive, worked through all of the windows updates that were recommended, and thought everything would be good to go. Now I have no problems backing up hard drive, etc. Then on day 2, after only a few hours of use, the cooling fan speed suddenly ramped up again and the blue screen returned.
A friend who is a tech suggested running HP diagnostics on everything, so I rebooted, hit F2, and started by testing the hard drive; as expected, no problems there. I next tried to test the memory (8192 MB total in two modules), and the test failed. I also tried testing the BIOS, and that too failed. The HP diagnostics reported that it couldn't even read the BIOS. Hmmm, strange. So I re-booted, hit F10, and went into the BIOS (BIOS date 10/5/11, revision F.1B). I HAVE NOT IN ANY WAY MODIFIED THE BIOS - I'm good, but not that good. Via the BIOS test utility, I tested both memory modules independently and then together, and everything checked out fine. I also tried switching modules between slots and re-tested via the BIOS utility, and that too checked out. I then returned to the HP diagnostics utility and tried re-testing the memory (both modules together - failed, one module at a time - both failed, in both slots).
HP tech experts, can you give me any guidance? This has been a great machine for me, I have taken good care of it, and am hoping to get a few more years out of it (I'm a middle-school science teacher, can't afford another one at this point). If I can't find a fix, I may have to go back to using my antique overhead projector in my classroom...

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv7 and getting the BSOD and shutting down. I recommend to restore the BIOS defaults with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings. Not rollback.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that could need updating.

No Bios Update for Satellite: L755D-S5204 / Inability to change Memory Settings in Bios

Ok so I bought two new 8GB of BLUE Kingston Hyperx 1600 MHZ Memory Modules with heat spreaders recently from newegg.
I installed them, and my system recognizes the full 8 GB, but when running CPU-Z the memory MHZ is registering in at 665.5 MHZ.
I want to be able to run my Memory at least the STANDARD minimum 1333 MHZ if not be able to change the MHZ if possible to 1600 MHZ. I CANNOT DO THIS WITH THE BIOS THAT CAME WITH MY SYSTEM, AND I CANNOT FIND A BIOS UPDATE ANYWHERE ON THE TOSHIBA SITE THAT WILL LET ME DO THIS.
My system Laptop Satellite L755D-S5204 has the basic Bios that came with the system. However I do not know or CAN NOT FIND any flash updates to update the bios so I can change these setting.
My question to Toshiba Tech support is it possible to clock my system memory higher, and how do I do this with a BIOS that doesn't let me make any changes to my Voltage to my Memory, and doesn't let me make any changes to system memory or memory timing settings??
When you figure that out and if you could possibly help me resolve this problem, please email me because as a computer technician I am really intrigued as to the reason why Toshiba doesn't have a FLASH BIOS UPDATE that will let you change the Memory settings, and Memory Timings!!

BIOS does not provide such option!
I have no idea what graphic card you have but for example the Sat P850-138 was equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M graphic card.
This GPU supports dedicated VRAM (default 2048MB)
The available graphics memory can be expanded using system memory, through TurboCache
In case the system memory would be expanded to 6GB RAM, the TurboCache technology could use up to 4,095 MB VRAM

Z68A-GD65 (G3) Memory problems after BIOS update

Good day, i'm russian, so sorry for my english.
Friend of mine had MSi Z68A-GD65 (G3), i5-2500K, memory pair 2*2GB with bios 22.8 (latest version with no red letters about ME8 and IvyBridge).
He decided to upgrade the processor to IvyBrydge and updated bios with new ME8. Then the computer went into a state of continue restarting every 3 seconds. After replacing the CPU to the new Ivy - computer works good, the impression is that the computer does not understand Sandy now and switched toIvy. But it has seen only one of memory pair. My friend just bought a new motherboard. Now he has no problems. I took his MB and SandyBridge CPU.
Flashing the bios to the old version by M-Flash - it does not see the BIOS file, although it is there (in the root, FAT, 2G). Flashed it under dos with AFUDE238 with a key -x, it said about mismatched ROM ID. After the old BIOS flashing (with an Ivy) computer went three-second reset mode. CPU changed to Sandy i5-2500K - now works good. By the way, now M-Flash see the firmware on a flash drive - I flashed it again from the M-Flash, just in case, reset the settings.
What is the problem: if I set the memory into the slot 3 or 4, the computer goes into a three-second reboot, it does not matter is the memory in the first two slots or no. If this memory is inserted in the first two slots - all ok. So I work now - in the first two slots with no dual-channel mode.
The feeling is that the problem appeared after first flashing to Ivy and remained after flashing back to Sandy.
Question 1: What to do to get working the memory slots?
Question 2: Is BIOS 22.8 - the latest which I will have with Sandy? (There is a problem now when the computer starts - 1 times out of 10 will not boot - reset is helping, and the BIOS at starting not very fast).
There are posts about people with the same MB and the CPU and the new BIOS (25.2) that supports Ivy. I'm confused. It means I can use the new firmware from SandyBridge. But there are many posts about problems with new firmware. Where is the true?
Just checked BIOS version - P.1 (25.1) 2012-04-16 - by the way with Ivy support. But I flashed with 22.8, I'm sure. ME version in BIOS isn't shown, but while booting - ME 7.0
What does it mean? Can it be repaired? What should I do?

What it was. I flashed BIOS with tool from this forum. Bios flashed good, but problem still was here. Then I flashed to the first bios version from support site. And again flashed ok but memory still not working in slots 3 and 4. Then I decided to flash back to last flash with Sandy support 22.8 (or 23.8). Then I flashed to the last bios at all - 25.4. Flashed it from dos - this was pretty long. It rebooted 3 times (ME updated too). I still don't know - what it was with first flashing to Ivy. Now it's ok.
So I decided the problem is bent pin. With magniglass and needle I've found some uncertain pins (these were not BENT, but slightly bent) and touched these with my needle. And that was the answer. Now all works fine. Thank you all.
On the russian msi forum no one answered and helped me at all.

Protecting Vendor Bank Details Display

Hi Gurus,
My company reimburse expenses to employee, for that purpose I have created seprate Vendor group for employee vendors.
Authorisatoin for create/change/display vendors are also available to Purchasing department, which is fine for normal vendors. But company don't want all the employee to look at the Employee Vendor Bank detail, which is in general master data segment.
How do I only allow accounts department to create/change/display Employee vendors, which is having seprate Vendor Group. Can I restrict employee vendor group to only particular Users in accounts department?

We used the existing vendor account group "REIS" and created separate roles for managing this vendor account groups (Authorization object F_LFA1_GRP-KTOKK). For the other roles we added all the account groups besides "REIS".

Thinkstation E32 BIOS not displaying...

Hey everyone, first time posting here.
I have a Thinkstation E32 that I am working on. I am using the PCI express Nvidio Quadro card as my graphics display. I am using the DVI port to display the graphics. But for some reason, I can't get the BIOS or Lenovo splash screen to show up when a monitor is connected to the DVI port, but it does boot into Windows ok. The BIOS/splash screen does show up when there's a monitor in the displayport connected. I updated the BIOS and made no difference. I checked the options and there doesn't appear to be an option to set what port on the video card to use as the primary.
The machine is still under warranty. I don't know if I want to replace the video card, because after all it does boot into Windows ok.
If anyone could provide any ideas or tips, that would be appreciated! Thanks!

What processor do you have installed in your E32? My first thought here is that the discrete card might not be seen as the primary video device by BIOS.
When you say it does boot into windows, I'm assuming you mean that once the system moves past the Lenovo splash screen early in POST, you are eventually able to get a graphics sync and the attached monitor works OK and the system can used normally?
My other thought is that I've seen scenarios in the past where some displays are slow to sync, and by the time they do the system has already moved past the Lenovo splash screen and started loading the OS. You might be able to do a quick test to see if this is the issue by watching the keyboard light during POST instead of the display. As soon as you see the numlock LED turn on on the keyboard, try hitting F1 several times until your display comes active. If you're sitting at the BIOS setup screen when the display decides to finally sync, then that's probably your issue.
