No MLB At Bat 13 on Bold - Big Mistake!

All of us baseball fans would like the MLB At Bat 13 available to BB users other than the few who have the new BB10. Keep in mind that many of the current BB users are on the fence about even getting a BB10 and not extending the MLB application to all the other BB users who have enjoyed this app in the past is a big mistake and one you need to fix. I highly recommend making the At Bat 13 app avaiable to all BB users. All other baseball fans that feel the way I do need to make some noise! I've seen a couple of posts on this issue but no response from BB. So how about it BB? What's the deal.

The main reason I switched to Blackberry and purchased my Bold was to be able to listen and follow baseball with MLB At Bat. The Bold is a great phone and have been happy with it. However, no longer having access to At Bat is forcing me to buy a new phone. The uncertainty that At Bat will be supported by BB Z10 in a couple of years, like the Bold, means I won't even consider staying with Blackberry. Don't know if this is BB and/or MLB cutting current BB users off but I agree that it needs to be fixed.

Your profile states that you are running iOS 4 so that shouldn't be the issue. I don't have the app, but here are the first things that I would try. These are starting point fixes for both devices.
Quit the app by double tapping the home button to bring up the multitasking/recents tray at the bottom, hold down on any of the app icons in the tray until all the icons wiggle, then tap the minus sign in the corner to quit the offending app or apps. Try your app again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button at the top of the iPad until the red slider appears, then slide to the right to power off the iPad. Turn the iPad on again by pressing the sleep button until the Apple logo appears. Once the iPad has fully rebooted, find your app, and tap the icon to relaunch.
Try a hard reset by pressing and holding down on the sleep button at the top of the iPad while holding down on the home button at the bottom, until the Apple logo appears and the iPad restarts. Launch the app again and see what happens.
The next step I would take is delete the app, reboot your iPad reinstall and see if it works. You don't have to pay for the app if you need to download it again.

AirPlay from MLB At Bat 2012 not working?

I'm trying to stream video to my Apple TV 2nd gen from MLB At Bat 2012 and it does not reliably work. I try it from both my iPod touch 4th gen and iPad 2, and it does not work. It works with mirroring on the iPad 2, but is a letterboxed video. Anyone else running into issues? (Yes I know there's an app but sometimes this is more convenient, especially with switching games)

My mlb at bat app blacks out the wrong games, I need help please.

My mlb at bat app blacks out atl braves games no matter where they are playing, but doesn't black out the teams in my area. Anyone have any suggestions, it only does that when I'm connected to att network. When I'm on wifi I get braves games and the local games get blacked out like they are suppose too. I've contacted MLB and they say their end is good. Thanks!

MLB.com says BB is responsible for there being no AT Bat 2013 app. Anyone know if that is true or if MLB.com is just trying to shift the blame to someone else?

I don't know but I am very interested in the answer. Hey Blackberry, show the 99% of your user base that doesn't have a BB10 device that you still care! Get At Bat 13 going for older BB's! Surely starting with the MLB At Bat 12 app it couldn't be that hard to get something up for the 2013 season!
This is NOT making me want to get a BB10 device, it is making me want to switch platforms! Why should I get a BB10 device if, in 2 years (age of my Torch) it could be left in the dark for the most popular sports app going?

MLB AT BAT 13 sticking/Pausing/freezing

I'm extremely frustrated with my IPAD (or my app). I've used this app for almost a year and have been able to watch complete baseball games with almost no problems to speak of....
The last few days, I've been watching games and after a few seconds it sticks. I can't even get through Joe Buck's monolouge in the pregame without a few "sticks". It starts going again with no problem, but it's really not watchable. Amazon Prime Instant Video works fine. I don't youtube much, but in limited use it seems okay.
I have unloaded my cache in safari. Cookies ARE allowed on my laptop.
I've reset all my settings and have had no luck. I've done all the "power downs" and restarts. I've deleted the App and redownloaded and have had no correction. If I get on my laptop, the game feed works great. I've also tried multiple routers, so I don't think Internet Speed or connection is the problem. My wife watches TV on several apps on her laptop, but I'm having no luck with MLB At-Bat after almost a year of success.
Does anyone have any tips or ideas? I'm grasping at straws here.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

MLB At-Bat

Question: MLB At-Bat doesn't seem to work on my watch. It works great on my iPhone 6 but when I try to launch it on the watch it brings up a blank screen and automatically closes, bringing me back to the main app screen. I've deleted it from my watch, iPhone, reinstalled to no avail.
I'm running the latest iOS. Anyone else having this issue? Suggestions on resolving?

I hear that. It doesn't seem to make sense that the 95-- range of BBerry phones is not supported now for the 2012 edition. ANYONE have any information regarding this issue?

hello all. I have a ipad 2 and was trying to watch games on my tv using the hdmi adapter and the mlb at bat. I could not get it to work. does anyone know what to do or what am I doing wrong??? thanks in advance

Because MLB is short-sighted when it comes to video streaming and sales? After all, this is the league that won't let highlight clips go on YouTube... No, it doesn't make sense, but that's Major League Baseball for you.
I'm guessing that if they could block it from streaming out on the laptop, they would do that as well. No sports league is more interested in making their product inaccessible and hard-to-view for the general public in exchange for up-front cash than Baseball, I hate to say...

MLB At Bat... no push notifications?

Hey there.
Ever since I moved over to the iPhone 4, it seems that some (not all) of my push notifications have gone missing. +Words with Friends+ works awesomely, but, most annoyingly, +MLB At Bat+ doesn't seem to push any notifications at all, and Facebook seems to not push either.
I've checked all my settings, updated the App this week, and still, nothing.
Anyone else having the same issue? Anyone have any solutions?

How to quit MLB at bat audio or apps that are not showing by the lock area

I upgraded MLB at bat so that the audio plays in the background while im multitasking.
Its great how ever I don't understand how to quit the app.
When I double click the home button and swipe to the control area where the orientation lock is it does not show mlb at bat running. It shows only the ipod icon. I thought it was suppose to show the mlb at app like it shows the pandora when pandora is streaming music in the background
Its the same concept of allowing audio to stream ...what gives?
I guess I can hold down the mlb at bat app when first opening my apps that are in the background hold down so it wiggles and then delete it.
But this is very confusing.

If you double click the home button after starting audio (in MLB)...before you single click the home button to quit...and then swipe to the left, you get the iPod icon. But, if you start audio in MLB, then press the Home button to quit the app and go back to the home screen (while still streaming audio in the background), and THEN double click and swipe to the left, you'll get the MLB icon and MLB audio controls.
By the way, MLB At Bat audio in the background while checking your mail or surfing the web is pretty awesome.

I was migrating from a 3gs to the 4s. Big mistake. Have lost contacts and access to music and apps.

I was migrating from a 3gs to the 4s. Having never upgraded the IOS before, I thought that I should do that before handed the phone down to my daughter to replace her broken 3g. Big mistake. Even using Google sync for my contacts, following instruction from the Google webpage (ambiguous: cancel or not when error message is displayed?) the contacts did not sync to gmail. iTunes says it will sync contacts, but doesn't from the phone, only from the few that were in my old Gmail account. The iCloud set up asks for email and a new password- not specifying that you should use your old email and password for your old iTunes account or your phone will be instantly locked out of those apps and tunes stored there. The web info says you can't merge accounts or passwords, so, I bet I have to cancel the new set up and start over with the old password if it will even let me. I've spent 8 hrs reading, syncing, et c., on this! It will be a long time before I casually buy a new phone from them! I wonder how much time it will take to switch from the 3GS to the 4S? I now have a 3GS without contacts, no way to get the data from those files back, and can't get the apps to it or the 4S until Apple support helps fix the double identity problem.
Considering that I had verbal instructions from the Apple store prior to the IOS upgrade, reviewed all the details on line, I think this process is woefully lacking in clarity and transparency. The local ATT branch offered nothing except backing up to avoid loss of contacts if both phones were taken to the store, but not any help with the IOS or iTunes content. Cable internet for the 3GS backup and IOS 5 upgrade seemed to take about 2 hours. At least calender, notes, etc. were done correctly and 2500 picture and videos were not removed.

After the last post,I went to the local ATT for some feedback. The manager there, Stephen, was helpful and spent a long time, even after i had gotten the abbreviated list of contacts I had constructed from the 3GS to the 4S by an iTunes sync with the correct options selected. This however, would not sync notes. I took screen pix of my many stock symbols for future reference, and got them to transfer with Bump (as photos, in case I want to refresh my memory on some of the symbols added previously). I emailed myself copies of 28 notes i did not want to lose, because the iCloud back up would not initially work. After what seemed like years, I finally was able to get it working, following repeated refusal to Merge because of "not enough space available" @5GB even though everything was turned off except contacts and calendar.
My old phone is finally backed up to the cloud after I turned off location service on new phone, and a bunch of apps and photo data showed up for the first time, as icons to be turned off on the old phone in the Manage Storage window. It said it was going to back up 8 GB of photos when the photo backup had been turned off on the prior screen. (The screws are loose, and the worm has turned on this software at Apple.)
Backup for notes, a few contacts, and calendar, over high speed wifi, took 25 minutes to complete without photos.
I have never seen anything this troublesome in the Apple OS!
You will need to set your own Apple ID and a .me email ID if you want to use the cloud. My recommendation and that of the store manager for the first time is don't back up any photos, let it erase the photo stream if it wants to. The camera roll should be ok.
Backing up to the iCloud removed all my stocks from the old phone! It wasn't supposed to. Be sure to select leave data on phone at every opportunity- even so, there they went. It did not remove contacts or calendar when backing up, though the IOS 5 upgrade had lost my years of contacts since I had not specified that they should be saved when I hit the simple sync in iTunes the first time and since Googlesync failed to connect properly for me over wifi as noted above.
All in all it appears nothing is going to clone your phone or preserve all the data through a IOS 4.x to 5 migration, though I did not do it right the first time with iTunes, and complicated matters by starting with a new ID instead of my old iTunes account and password, living in a small town, away from any Apple store, though if you can't be there at an Apple store with both phones in hand, they probably can't help much unless they walk you through each option in iTunes and you are very attentive. The store genius I saw did not do this, though I had yet to order the phone at that point.

I've just bought an iPhone 5S in the UK, seems like a big mistake, but luckily by law we can return goods, which is exactly what is going to happen if I cant get this to work. This is my business phone, not having it functional can cost me money.

I'm happy you figured it out and just try to keep in mind that not everyone you talk to at support will give the same advice or have the same knowledge. Just like those who contribute to these forums. Sometimes Google is your best friend.
I agree that Apple could probably make it easier, but as of yet prefer security over freedom. (sound famaliar?)

wjosten is spot on. If you really want iCloud, then you will need to acquire a new or second hand MBP that can run Lion.
