No MMS Setting in my Iphone4

I already upgraded my Iphone4 iOS from 4.1 to 4.3.3.
But, I noticed that some of the features that suppose appear in iOS 4.3.3 but not in my Iphone, such as:
1. MMS Setting in General-Network
2. Call forwarding cannot be setup....keep on turn off by itself even thought have enter the alternate telephone number
Anyone could answer and help me?

I have check the setting under the Message menu, and it was set as "ON", but I still can not locate the place for me to enter my carrier setting for the MMS. This MMS Setting are supposingly seated in the "Network" menu.

This toggle should be under Settings>Messages. From there you can scroll down and should find it. If not, does your carrier support SMS and MMS?

If you do a restore on the ipod, it only affects the ipod. Everything on the ipod is erased, but itunes and everything in itunes and on your computer will still be there.
The restore will only erase you ipod.

MMS not working in iPhone4S when installing config profile with APN

When we use the iPhone Configuration Utility (either the latest version or previous versions) to create a config profile with APN info, then install the profile to an iPhone4S, we noticed that MMS (multimedia messaging) was no longer working. This means we could not send or receive MMS messages. And this is MMS going over the MMS protocol (and not iMessage). We had not seen this before. We routinely do config profiles with APN info and have done for all iPhone models and iOS version before the new iPhone4S. Never had a problem with MMS or anything else. This is for iPhone4S devices in the AT&T network. It is easy to reproduce and you don't need an enterprise APN for that. In fact just a config profile with AT&T's APN settings will still break MMS when installed (other than the MMS, everything else works fine).
It does not appear an iOS 5 issue. iPhone4 (or iPhone3GS) with iOS 5 do not have this problem. It appears to be tied to the new iPhone4S hardware. The same configuration profile (with the APN info) works fine on iPhone4 with iOS 5 (MMS works fine), but when you put the very same configuration profile to an iPhone4S, MMS quits working.
Doing a network reset does not solve the problem. Only removing the profile fixes the MMS
Any ideas, explanations or workarounds?

I called the Apple care line, and eventually got to 4th tier support, where they declared that there must be an issue with the APN I'm using, regardless of the fact that none of the iPhone 3G, 3GS', and 4's in our office are experiencing this issue while using the same APN. I guess I shouldn't be surprised about this, afterall who'd expect Apple to actually admit there's a "bug" in one of their products, especially since this is hapenning to a very small number of users on the 4S. Getting to 4th tier support was free, but to be able to talk to someone who can actually investigate this issue will cost $700.
I offered to give them access to our private APN for testing, but they were "unable to do that sort of testing". Additionally, we have tested using a public APN from AT&T (wap.cingular), and still experience the same issue.
Lastly, I did some further digging, and I think it has something to do with PDP Context 2 not getting an IP address. As a disclaimer, I have no clue what a PDP Context is, what it does, what it's for, but obviously MMS needs it. Going into field test mode on the phone will allow you to see the PDP Contexts, and is where I got this info from.
On the iPhone 4S, without an APN profile installed, the PDP Contexts are listed 0-3. These 4 contexts have values for an APN, and an IPv4 address, although context 0 and 2 are the only ones that have values in them.
When an APN profile isnt installed, MMS' can be sent, cellular internet doesn't work., the values are:
Context 0
IPv4:    ip is blank
APN:   phone (this is the default APN for the iphone 4s on att).
Context 2
IPv4:     has a valid public IP address
APN:     wap.cingular
When an APN profile is installed, MMS's can't be sent, but cellular internet does work, the values are:
Context 0:
IPv4:     Valid public IP address is present
APN:     Our enterprise APN
Context 2:
IPv4:     ip is blank.
APN:     wap.cingular
It appears that when Context 2 has an IP address, MMS' are able to be sent. One other interesting fact, on the iPhone 4, only 1 PDP Context is listed, while the 4S has 4 listed.
Hopefully this issue will be resolved in the 5.1 update, as this update contains a baseband update for the 4S, updating it from 1.0.14 to 1.2.01-1. Unfortunately I don't have access to a 5.1 beta, otherwise I'd test this my self. If anyone has access to the beta, and wants to test APN profiles/MMS send status, we'd greatly appreciate it!

8800 wap and mms set up problems

I have just purchased a lovely ol vintage phone.. the 8800 and now want to get the wap set up on it ( I am not so worried about the mms as for some reason have never been able to get this sorted out). You will have to contact your Service Provider and ask them to send you a service message with the needed settings.

AirPlay via Personal hotspot set up by iphone4

I have set up a Personal hotspot by using iPhone4 and use iPad to stream Pictures/Videos/Music to Apple TV - Works really fine!
However, trying to stream pictures from the very iPhone to AirPlay seems not to work-any ideas about that?

Same problem here. Using AirPlay streaming from an iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPad 2 all result in very slow buffering on even short (30sec) videos. Takes a long while to buffer enough to start video play, and in the middle it pauses because the buffer ran out.
Same AppleTV streams OK from internet sources (eg. Netflix) even on my slow 5Mbps DSL connection. Using AirPort Extreme. Again, streams fine from internet sources.
Expect the device-to-device AirPlay performance to be much better.

How to set up new iPhone4?

My new phone should arrive in the next couple of days. I pre-ordered it very early on the second dat, and have a July 2 ship with July 6-8 arrival. I have been looking over the forums at things that people have had trouble with and I want to avoid them as much as possible. Any help in the process would be great.
I currently have a 3G. What steps should I take when it arrives? Should I set it up first without using my 3G back up? Can I then add whats on my computer to load up the new phone? Whats is the proper procedure to avoid some of the slowdown issues?

Most people say to use the backup of the former iPhone and have had severe issues. On my 3 iPhones, I've always "Set up as a new iPhone" which avoided any problems. It doesn't add application data, SMS/MMS or recent calls which I don't believe gets re-installed into the phone anyways.
I would set it up as a new iPhone and you would just have to re-install the Apps, Music, Videos, Photos, Gallery Videos, and your Exchange account (Outlook, local Mac, or OTA).
After you receive it, you would Google "AT&T activate phone" and click on the activation link. It requests your phone and zip. Then you verify on *#06# the IMEI code is already added. If the IMEI isn't there, you need to pull the SIM out by using your former SIM tool or paperclip, then add the new codes.
You don't need a MicroSIM cutter to get it done. It doesn't store your SIM contacts as it's local PC or OTA saved.

MMS setting in my Nokia 5800XM

I have done manual setting of Multimedia msg in destinations, then when i try to sent an mms it says "No valid access point defined. Define now ?" when i push yes it opened multimedia setting and where it says Access point in use : must be defined ??? Where i have already defined in settings????? Please solve my problem thanks

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
If still a problem, restore from your backup.
If still a problem, restore as new.

Need help with mms setting for nokia 5800 on T-mo...

Ok I'm also having problems not receiving a full size image when sent thru Tmobile, the image shows up as 2kb so when i try to zoom it becomes blurry....
I called tmobile support Tier III and they were not able to help...all i got was an email from them with additional settings to try on my phone but not sure where i can plug that information... it gives the port # the wap information...and so on..
if you are using T-mobile US and can receive picture messaging, could you please send the the settings you are using.

The settings on a phone receiving an MMS have no bearing on the size of the picture being received. If you can receive anything then the settings are correct. If they were incorrect you wouldn't receive any MMS message at all.
The problem lies with T-Mobile US. Their messaging gateway doesn't "know" that the 5800XM can receive MMS messages up to 600kb in size so it reduces the file size on the fly in order to comply with what it thinks the 5800XM can deal with.
Only T-Mobile US can solve this problem.

HT201699 Attempting to set APN on iPhone4 - 'network' is not a listed option after selecting settings general.

Recently moved my cell phone service from AT&T. Successfully unlocked the phone, however, The phone is not connected to the Internet. Believe the APN needs to be re-set? Per the above, after selecting Settings>General, the 'network' option is not listed. Any suggestions?

AT&T and T-Mobile are the only supported GSM carriers in the US. If you're using someone else, like StraightTalk or Net10, you'll have to work it out with them.
Both of them piggyback on AT&T/T-Mobile networks. Since the iPhone sees what it believes is a supported network, it will not allow you to change the settings.

MMS (setting a ringtone for text messages)

Is there an option or way that allows you to set a ringtone for text messages. I previously had a Samsung Instict with another carrier and you could do that as well set ringtones for your contacts. Perhaps this will be in a new software update?? Thanks
