No mobile signal for a week!!!

We have not had an ee signal for a week now - I have phoned many times to find out what is happening but never get any answer - this morning alone I have phoned de 3 times to be cut off every time - so I have been charged £2.25 today alone for nothing!  The last person I spoke to told me that there was nothing wrong with the signal in my area - but was going to speak to his manager - then promptly hung up on me - that's madness as ten people I know in the village on ee have not had a signal plus 3 of us in this house -and as soon as we leave the village we get one. i am on the verge of cancelling all of our ee phones and home phone and broadband as this is not good enough - would someone please let me know what is happening?

  • Very weak signal for ~ one week

    I am in 02748 zip code. About a week ago almost all my calls started dropping. I have an iPhone5S. My neighbor is having the same trouble. He has an Android device. This is a new problem. We have had fairly consistent service before this, in fact I discontinued my land line because it was good. Now I can barely get a call out or in. How can I report this? Or find out if there's an outage that is being resolved?

  • No broadband and phone for 3 weeks now and still n...

    On the 17th july my phone line was apparently siezed when upstairs neighbours ordered a phone line with another company. Since then I've been pulling my hair out trying to sort it on my mobile phone going from department to department and being hung up on frequently and promised call backs never happening which has cost me £38 phoning BT and another £20 to get mobile broadband for 1 week!
    I've also tried the BT help section on the website and sent 2 messages and haven't had a reply yet, first one i sent was on saturday so can someone please help me get this sorted, I can't afford to use my mobile anymore, one call cost me £15!
    Please help!

    I have a 4G mobile dongle, can it create a shared modem signal for my family's individual laptops when I am in a holiday house with no wifi? 

    Your assumption is breathaking. I use a Mac. Ihave done so since 1987. And my previous wifi dongle enabled me to share the connection. I have been sold 2 new dongles by EE, one for the general connection which we can use in the holiday cottage which has no wifi and one for the car, yes a car based wifi connector. We shall see. 

  • IPhone 4S takes ages to refresh mobile signal

    My new iPhone 4S has just been delivered and I switched to use it from my old iPhone 4.  Despite the apparently better signal level of 4S, I found it is annoying that whenever I enter areas with no mobile coverage (e.g. Lift, underground carpark, etc.) and then come back to areas with mobile signals, it always take up to several minutes for the iPhone 4S to be able to pick up mobile signals.  My old iphone 4 (with IOS 4.3.3) will have mobile signal pick up nearly immediately.  Is my iPhone 4S faulty or is it a common problem of iPhone 4S?  Any fix for that?

    Can someone please check this one out for me. mine takes about 60 to 70 seconds to connect. please just switch off and switch on and let me know pleeeaaasee

  • HT1695 My wife is working in London for 5 weeks and for some reason her ipad will not connect to btfon or btopenzones at her digs, but she has a ethernet socket, so can a wifi only ipad2 be connected to the internet via an ethernet cable

    My wife is working in London for 5 weeks & staying in digs, so we thought it would be a good idea to buy an ipad2 so we could skype each other, she could watch movies from the icloud, access skygo etc,and it wouldn't be as bulky as a laptop. All fine if you can get wifi, but for some reason her ipad cannot locate any btfon or btopenzone hotspots (or provider), IN LONDON??!! We can access them at home in a little village in Northern Ireland. Her digs have an ethernet socket, is it possible to connect her ipad to this socket via an adapter?

    No. She will need to come up with an alternative way to connect. A mobile hotspot perhaps.
    Finding some way to connect to these hotspots would be the ideal situation. I know that you realize that. We know nothing about what is happening, but if you can explain in some detail, maybe somebody here can help.

  • No landlline for 3 weeks and counting

    We have had a phone fault for 3 weeks now, since 25th April. no incoimg calls and no outgoing calls. BT said they would redirect calls to a mobile but have failed to do this. BT have not contacted us to tell us when the fault will be fixed, nor how to claim compensation. I hate to thiink what we are spending on the mobile now. I don't have time to spend ages on the phone in a queue, but how come BT can't apporach me to tell me what's wrong? After all we are way past the standard 3 days to fix a fault. How come BT can email me every quarter about my bill, but can't email me to tell me what's happening. The fault tracking system has been updated once in the last 2 weeks and simply say's "we're working on your fault". The silence is deafening. Wasn't it BT who had the advertising slogan 'it's good to talk'.

  • How can I get 'sync' signals for sine wave out? [FPGA USB 7856R]

    I'm Sean Ahn using NI 7856R, USB FPGA with LabVIEW 2014.
    I'm trying to make 'sync' signals for sine wave of adjustable frequency, like general function generator's sync out.
    I use sine waves whose frequency is feedback-congtrolled between 25~30 kHz and need sync signals of square wave.
    Like [1] below, when I try resettng two wavefom-generators, sine and sync signals are not perfectly synchronized.
    And everytime I adjust sine's frequency, the phase difference between sine and sync changes arbitrarily 
    In case of [2] using 'zero-crossing detector', I have severe jitter of sync signals not suitable as 'sync' signals for other parts.
    Please, give me some help.

    Here’s my issue.  When I try to move any data between my PC and the iPad2 I receive an error message that states that “the [sync] session could not be started with the ipad, Please disconnect and reconnect the iPad and try again”
    I have tried again and again by various methods etc .  and all I get is the same message when I attempt to sync, backup or update the iPad. 
    I have tried the following AND FAILED:
    Deselect all Apps, Music etc in iTunes, then attempt to sync
    Disable and enable the iPad in device manager and restart itunes and try to sync again
    Disable and enable Apple Mobile Device Services and sync/backup/update
    Run iTunes as Administrator
    Reboot all devices (iPad buy pressing two buttons at once)
    Turn off all security and reboot and sync
    Connect directly to internet without a router
    Tried to sync with all wireless turned off and in airplane mode
    Running iTunes Diagnostics...... nothing all test passes
    Changing USB ports and cables
    Removing my SIM card and rebooting and trying to syc
    Trying to sync via wifi only
    Turning off all icloud services
    Uninstalling all Apple Software and reinstalling again
    I am syncing to a 64bit  PC running Win 7 Premium with all the latest updates, all firewalls off. WiFi and direct connect ethernet to Internet service with and without router.
    I am trying to Sync an iPAD 2 running iOS version 5.1.1 (9B206)
    I am trying to update from iOS 5.11 to 6.01 by using Itunes 11.0.0.16.3 in a USB or directly through the iPad via wifi.
    Please help as everything I have tried has failed.

    If you got the Unlocked message it means it was successfully unlocked by AT&T.  Apple will not relock or block it.  They have no objections to it being used on T-Mobile.  It is still under warrantee.  Take to an Apple store.  They can test it with a SIM from AT&T.  If that doesn't work have them replace the phone.  Have them verify that the new phone is unlocked.  If it does work with the AT&T card then it is a T_Mobile problem.

    I get no more than 0.72MB download with 0.22MB upload.  For a week; with no router reset I acheived 1.1MB. I thought woohoo, but then the connection has dropped down again to 0.72 again.  Any ideas? I have reset my router again just to test. I can also hear line noise on our telephone. Would it be worth asking BT to reset my line since 21CN WBC is meant to be enabled at my exchange at the end of the month? I have tried every tweak going with no success e.g master socket, internet programs etc etc.

    when you say not much noise is that when you do the quiet line test?  if you do the quiet line test with a corded phone you should hear nothing apart from the woman's voice - no hiss, crackle or any other sound.  If you use a cordless phone then you may hear a dull hum in the background.
    So if you hear any noisethen that will affect your broadband.  you should dial 151 and report a phone fault NOT a broadband fault.

  • IP mobility solution for a Data Centers

    Hello guys
    Please give me an advice.
    Now I try to work out a networking solution for a two geo separated data centers (DCs).
    Both the data centers will contain a virtualised server infrastructure (VMware).
    Now the main design problem is to choose good solution for IP mobility and  for the DCs interconnect. We need to have an ability of moving a VM machines both for maintanance and for disaster recovery between the DCs. And users must seamlessly without any advanced knowledge about routing  be connected to the VM machines that were moved. For now the users work in 1100 different offices around the Ukraine country.
    Yes I know a little about Cisco OTV, RHI and LISP solutions. But all this solutions require the top level switches and routers like Nexus 7000 and Cat 6500. And they are very costly.
    Is there cheaper solution for the IP Mobility?
    Maybe the NHRP protocol that is a part of the DMVPN could be a good solution? 
    Are there any features in NHRP or in other protocol for monitoring the health of a VM machine, customising and propagation the routing info in case of VM machine motion?

    Required data from a legacy system(generate data only in the form of flat files)to SAP R3 as FB01 journals - use BDC for this thing because it will be better for large source files.
    the output file should be generated periodically(daily,weekly,fortnightly etc…)  - if this output file contains acknowledgment for the data uploaded by the above process, create a ABAP report for it and schedule it..........but if this output contains some other IDOC data which you need to send as a file to a third-party system, then go for SAP XI provided the IDOC data is not too large... but if the IDOC size is huge, then just create a ABAP report for outputting data to a file on application server and FTP the file to third-party system.

  • No Phone Line for 1 week; moving towards urgent!

    Hello All, I am posting this on behalf of my father.
    Problem
    Phone line has not worked for a week; BT broadband works. Context: he lives along a country lane, nearly all his neighbours are experiencing problems with their phone line, broadband or both. Becoming urgent? One of his neighbour's husband died this week and she has had no phone line to organise the funeral. She now has a mobile phone which she can hardly use, she is very elderly. That example was to illustrate that inaction can really affect people.
    Actions Taken
    1. My Dad phoned the BT fault line. BT (to give them credit) arrived the next day. They checked the wiring inside the house and confirmed the fault lay with BT. They then confirmed that they needed to dig up the road and the job was with 'Planning' and there was nothing more they can do.
    Follow Up
    1) My Dad did not get a reference from the BT guys that initially visited.
    2) He has not heard back from BT of their Planning department.
    3) He has tried to phone Customer Services but ends up in India and gets confused. He is elderly as well.
    4) He did manage to use the Live Chat function last night and communicated the problem on his line. He got a text today to say it was all fixed and his phone would work. He got home and his phone did not work. Something he could not get his head around since BT texted him to say it would be working. Different generation, different values!!
    Conclusion
    I guess I am asking for help or advice. Any help would be much appreciated.

    That list includes all the apps that you installed to your device directly from iTunes on the computer, or which were purchased on the iOS device and subsequently transferred to iTunes on the computer.
    If you right click on any item in that list and choose "Show in Windows Explorer" it will open your iTunes application installer directory on your computer, which should be:
    C:\Users\User\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications
    In there are all your saved application installers (*.ipa files).  You need to delete those actual installer bundles and then make sure to NOT allow the "transfer purchased content" when you sync or backup in iTunes (as that will just put them back on your hard drive).
    One caveat to removing those, is that if you ever wish to keep a specific release of a particular app, and the developer replaces the iTunes/App store version with something else, your sole source for your older version will be your own stored copy of it.  So for example, when PDF expert released their iOS 7 update, and charged everyone full price for it, if you wished to keep using the previous version on your own devices, then you needed to keep a copy of the installer on your own computer as that older version is no longer available in the store front.

    Roamingnome, thanks for your response. Although I have been a Bell (Canada) customer for my WiFi signal for years, the 5c and its necessary mobility plan, is very recent. Some years ago, Bell supplied its own ‘router’ for my computer, and claimed that it was possible to get their WiFi signal only with the router they supplied. When I recently received the 5c, I wondered if the plan it requires, which is within the much wider, overall Bell zone, could be used somehow to get my Air online - some sort of tethering? - that allows me to give up the Air WiFi service and router all together, but still get the Air connected. Here in Canada, Bell Mobility and other Bell services are very separate. Any suggestions appreciated.
