No more App Store Icon after last update?

After I updated to IOS5, I got a few new Icons on my 4th Gen Ipod Touch. However, there is no 'App Store' app anymore. How do I access the App Store now?
I tried through Safari but it says it cannot open the page.

Yes, I have it again - I had two updates on Monday and even though I have run them, the icon still shows a "2".

Safari / App Store crashing after mavericks update

Weird stuff after Mavericks update. Internet connection is fine, Chrome works perfect.
Safari attempts to open webpage, but shows 6-9 white boxes surrounded by green border in the upper left hand corner of the page. The webpage will show up, then safari crashes. If I disable Javascript, then smaller boxes show up, but safari is usable.
App Store will also open, but shows nothing.
Disk Utility has a bunch of Open Error 1 and Open Error 5
Any suggestions?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

App Store Issues After Mavericks Update

Hi. I upgraded from Mountain Lion to Mavericks yesterday.
When I run the App Store app, it shows that IMovie is available for an update. When I click the update button, I get a message saying my IMac (bought in late 2007) doesn't have the video card requirements for the new version of IMovie. The problem is that every time I run the App Store app, it still lists IMovie as an update. Is there a way to prevent it for continuing to list IMovie as an update?
I also own IWork '09. After I updgraded to Mavericks yesterday, I was able to download the new Pages, Numbers and Keynote for free. Apparently, the download also slightly updated the versions from IWork '09. Today, I ran the App Store app again, and it redownloaded the updated '09 versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote. I have no idea why it downloaded them all again. Is there any way to stop it from doing it again?

I had this issue on 3 different macs when upgrading to Mavericks.
I resolved it by deleting the Compressor app and the "Compressor" and "Apple Qmaster" folders from Library\Application Support\, emptying the trash, rebooting the computer and reinstalling from the App Store.
Unfortunately this did delete all of my encoding presets and qmaster cluster/settings but the app is up and running again.
Also Get Info on the Compressor app after reinstalling and disable App Nap.

How do I get iTunes & the App Store back after the update.

When I updated my phone to iOS 6, I lost iTunes & the App Store. I tried opening iTunes on my computer & doing a restore, however, that caused me to lose the rest of the apps on my phone & since my computer runs on Windows I can't sync apps. How do I fix this?

Go into settings > iTunes and App store.. your friends email will appear there.. tap and hold until it highlights gray.. then a box will come up press sign out and then enter your user cardentials where your friends were.

HT4623 App store missing after IOS7 update

I update my iPad 3 to IOS7 using itunes. None of my apps were retained during the update. Only 14 of the standard Apple apps loaded. The app store app did not load, so I have no way to add apps. Itunes will not let me restore It requesting to turn on "find my iPad" under iCloud, which is already turned on.Please help.

Why is top border black hiding icons after last update?

After the last Firefox update, the top border around the menue bars is black thereby hiding the menue icons. Why? How do I change this? This is on my Vista system.

Ok, something came up earilier, and I just now got back to work on this. Sorry for the delay. The good news, is that the parts of the Zoom Page icon that I couldn't see, now show up. I don't know what happened to change that. I had shut down and restarted at least twice since the update (and probably 3 x), and before posting this. I didn't post right away, because I thought it might just go away. But it didn't happen soon enough, lol.
otoh, the icons are still white. Now that you mention the white text in the menu bar.....I can't remember if it was white before. Actually it works very well, at least in the menu bar, and I like it. But I just can't remember if it was always white. So there's a chance that also changed with the update, because I typically tend not to like white text, and probably the persona did not set up like that initially. And I don't especially like the white text on the tabs, so I think the white text is new too. But definitely the white icons are new! (Actually I might be able to find an old screenshot somewhere -- I'll look after I post this.)
Could the persona have received some kind of update? Hhhmmm, well it seems that the Zoom Page add-on did receive an update. Maybe for some reason, it took 2 or 3 restarts to initiate, or something? But apparently the persona was not updated.
I searched my computer for "lightweightThemes.usedThemes pref", but didn't find it. Can you tell me where to find it?
btw, I haven't tried the Firefox safe mode thing yet. Is that still worth trying?

App Facebook changes after last update my account

Strange I lose on my account all the icons and when I try my personal setting to open, the app closes. Whren sombody else opens his fb account, everything is ok! So what must I do? I did a restart of the app and all the updates are ok...

If deleting the app doesnt help you could try a back up and restore as new to determine a software or hardware issue. But if the app doesnt work on the iOS it is not the iPhones fault it is the apps. Apps are meant to be compatible and run on iOS not the other way around. If the app fails to run on the iOS it is something that would need to be taken up with the app developers.

ITunes and App Store broken after recent update

There were updates that appeared today for Epson and Lexmark printers, as well as a security fix. I started it on one Mac in our studios and it's NOT happy on reboot. None of our iCloud accounts can log in and we get errors trying to connect iTunes using anyone's account. Errors are:
     iTunes can’t verify the identity of the server “init.itunes.apple.com”.
     iTunes can’t verify the identity of the server “p55-buy.itunes.apple.com”.
     iTunes can’t verify the identity of the server “xp.apple.com”.
     iTunes can’t verify the identity of the server “play.itunes.apple.com”.
     iTunes can’t verify the identity of the server “securemetrics.apple.com”.
and they all say:
     The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be “play.itunes.apple.com”, which could put your confidential      information at risk. Would you like to connect to the server anyway?
If the page does load, we're not getting full graphics, like the full HTML isn't loading.
I tried it on a second Mac, confirming the login worked, then started the update. Update HUNG with 10-seconds to go and sat there for almost 30-minutes. We forced a shut-down/reboot and now have the same results with all iCloud accounts.
Any ideas?

like already posted here you have LEOPARD. But MacAppStore is a feature of SNOW LEOPARD which is a newer OS and must be paid for. The initial version of Snow , 10.6 does not contain it, but once it is updated to 10.6.6 or higher it is included. ( The point release updates are free ).

All of my contacts disappearing and then reappearing.
My privacy settings for photos being changed
not able to add events to my calendar
When I search for something in safari, I click on a result and it will not open the link.

You're not talking to a team of Apple employees poised to jump on your question. We're all just users here, and we might be doing something else...
You cannot delete the App store App. It is somewhere on your Home screens, or you have dragged it into a folder. Any folder. If all else fails Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

If you do not have, or remember, the passcode for Restrictions, the only option available to you is to reset the device to factory settings via itunes.
