NO_MORE_CMS_HOSTS error in Dashboard

Dear Team,
I have created a dashboard on IDT using SQL server and SAP ERP as data sources. Dashboard was running fine but some hours back it started to throw the error. The error appear whenever I query IDT from dashboard or create/modify the connection through Query Browser component.
The IDT is working fine and is successfully fetching data from both sources. Please find below my environment:
SAP BI 4.1 SP03
IDT uses ODBC connection to fetch data from SQL Server.
IDT uses Jco Client to fetch SAP data.
Urgent reply is needed as I have to meet the deadlines. Also, attached is the error for reference.

>>Log on to CMC.
>>Go to Server->Data Federation Service.
>>Try to restart the Adaptive Processing server.
>>If doesn't start then, Go to Manage->New->New server.
>>Select Service Category as Data Federation Service and click Next.
>>Select the Node if multiple and Create.
>>Disable and Stop the previous Adaptive Processing server and start the new server.
>>Launch Dashboard Designer.
>>Select the Universe and the Objects without any error message.

1.tnsping directly the OBAW from cmd prompt or putty
2.set the ODBC.INI tnsfile on linux box
3.set the tnsnames.ora file under Oracle client on windows box
4.try to directly view the data from repository
5. some times network issues, so ask your dba to bounce the database
6. take help of your DBA to investigate more from database side

CRM Web UI - Authorisation error for Dashboard report

Hello
I am accessing CRM specific BI reports on CRM Web UI for areas like Lead Analysis, Marketing and Campaign Analysis etc, and most of the reports are working fine. But when I try to access a dashboard report (I am not really sure if it is called daashboard report beside the report name- it gives me an Authorisation error saying that the 'User does not have proper authorisations'.
I have tried by assigning the role SAP_CRM_OR_USER suggested by a colleague, but even then I get the same error. Our Basis team does not have an idea on the exact role to be used.
Could anyone of you please tell me the exact role to be used in order to see those report on Web UI. Thanks.

I have tried that option of the transaction ORDYWB to activate the reports (this was also suggested in a SAP note i.e. to create a Z report and the code for which was given in the SAP note and upon executing the report, it showed a number of activities which have to be performed and had to implement those activities one by one). But in that transaction all the reports and InfoTypes are active with status 'OK'
If you could give me the exact role which you have used for those reports, I will give it a shot. Also, in the CRM Web UI, I am unable to see the technical name of the report of the interactive report (dash board report?). If the report was executing in the CRM Web UI, we could see the technical name of the report, but for the non-executing reports, could you please tell me how to see the technical name?
I have raised this to SAP and looks like even they are having a hard time finding the solution. Thanks.

Scheduled webi report error in dashboard

Hi ,
we are using SAP BW as backend and Dashboard is created using Live ofive connectivity with latest instance of scheduled report which is scheduled every morning.
But some of the reports scheduled is failing and throwing this error as
A database error occured. The database error text is: (CS) "Fail to create an instance of Job" . (WIS 10901)
This is occurring many times
Because of this while opening dashboard it throws error
The current refresh option requires a report instance that does not exist. (LO 26301)

Hi Gaurav,
How many Webi reports do you have? Do they all use the same data source? How big are the reports - 100 rows? 100,000 rows? How long does each take to run?
They may be failing if the server is running out of memory. Or is it the same Webi reports failing to schedule? In which case obviously there's a problem with those reports.

B1ic - B1 8.81 PL01 500 error in Dashboard Widget

Hello all expert,
In the B1 client, I see an error in opening the Dashboard Cockpit. I read all the troubleshoot guide and still cannot find a solution...
Im using 8.81 PL01 and the Integration Component and using company database SBODemoSG.
The B1iC is installed and I have tested the B1DI, JDBC & HAnyforXcelsius connections and both report successful connections.
The error message is like this:

Err..Ohk. Don't tell me that you are using Hierarchical columns and other attributes in same prompt (i.e. Single GO Button)
Like you have columns like Region-Country-State-City and say Category in same prompt where Region-Country-State-City is hierarchy in OBIEE RPD.
You will have to create 2 seperate prompts here to get it work.
Prompt 1: Region-Country-State-City (Constraint on each level)
Prompt 2: Category and other attributes
This will have 2 prompts so 2 GO button. No way you can achieve this in Single GO even if you change the XMLs and all.
This is OBIEE logic working behind pulling the common fact and also fetching hierarchical data based on level above i.e. constraints here...
Hope this clears your doubt. Or may be give the exact structure of your prompts.

Try to execute the BEx query in webi and check whether its running fine.
1974638 - Request Processing Failed. (XLS 000009) Query script generation failed. See your administrator. The result object 'xxxxx' is missing from result objects. (IES 00013)
Try to remove the prompt from the BEx query and create it in query browser connection and test it, you cannot pass the prompt empty if its created as mandatory in BEx, please check that also.

Getting Error in Dashboard Execution

Hi all
We are facing some problem while executing the dashboards,
when we deploy the dashboards in the BO server in june-2011, it works fine till now.
Now the problem with us is it showing error getDocumentInformation exception (Error :wis10901)
But this error is not displayed every time while executing the dashboard.
The frequency of showing this error is more, after 4-5 changes in the dashboard it showing error.
after some time if we execute the same dashboard it works fine for some more time.
NOTE:-while i am trying to execute the QAAWS, it sowing error some time.("getDocumentInformation exception (Error :wis10901)"

Syntax error in Dashboard Dimension

Hi there,
In BI Presentation dashboard I got an error with a column which has a Dimension, when I click on it should get me two more columns but instead I got this:

The Syntax error is obvious in the error details, but when I go back to my BI Answer Request my <(> looks fine...

PWVERSION sql error in dashboard builder

Hi all
We are currently attempting to deliver SAP Strategy Management through the dashboard builder as part of an integrated solution of SSM, Xcelcius and Webi. When we try to run SSM within a tab page on Dashboard Builder we get the following error;
Error: SqlStatement
Error: SqlStatement: SELECT * from PWVERSION
Error Code: no such table: PWVERSION
The SSM does not then start up.
This is a pioneering attempt to integrate the two tools in a portal style solution so any help would be very much appreciated.

Thats right...
Err..Ohk. Don't tell me that you are using Hierarchical columns and other attributes in same prompt (i.e. Single GO Button)
Like you have columns like Region-Country-State-City and say Category in same prompt where Region-Country-State-City is hierarchy in OBIEE RPD.
You will have to create 2 seperate prompts here to get it work.
Prompt 1: Region-Country-State-City (Constraint on each level)
Prompt 2: Category and other attributes
This will have 2 prompts so 2 GO button. No way you can achieve this in Single GO even if you change the XMLs and all.
This is OBIEE logic working behind pulling the common fact and also fetching hierarchical data based on level above i.e. constraints here...
Hope this clears your doubt. Or may be give the exact structure of your prompts.

Navigation Error between DashBoards

Hi,
We have three dashboards involved in the issue:
Dashboard1 Composed by “Prompt 1” and a report “Report 1” in one section.
Dashboard 2: Composed by “Prompt 1” and two reports “Report 2” and “Report 3” in two sections.
Dashboard 3 Composed by two reports “Report 4” and “Report 5” in one section. Report 4 has a filter which receives Task data from “Report 1” and “Report 5” receives project data from “Report 3”.
From Dashboard1 and Dashboard 2 is defined a “navigation link” that goes to Dashboard3.
The required behavior is that when navigating from Dashboard 1 to Dashboard 3 the Task data is filtered by data selected, but it is NOT
If the navigation is made from Dashboard 2 it works OK!!! It´s estrange as data in Dashboard 3 is taking part of its data from Report 1 (being in Dashboard 1).
If instead of linking the Dashboard 1 we link it directly to Report 4 (that is inside Dashboard3 and receives the data filtered by Task) it works OK!! So the error seems to be in the Dashboard, but we have tried everything and it doesn’t work… Can it be a bug?

This is kind of a shot in the dark because I am not sure I am correctly visualizing your problem, but I am assuming that from Dashboard 1, you make a selection from prompt 1, click on "Go," then click on a link on that page which should take you to dashboard 3 filtered on the prompt selection, which you say it isn't. You also have the same prompt (meaning saved to a PV with the same name), on Dashboard 2. When a selection is made from the prompt here, "Go," is clicked and a link on the dashboard page is clicked, it should also take you to a report in Dashboard 3, filtered on the prompt selection and here it works. Yes?
If the above is true, I have a question. Is the link in Dashboard 1 created within a "Guided Navigation Link" object or a "Link or Image" object? If the latter, the prompt value won't be carried through and the report won't be filtered. It must be a "Guided Navigation Link" object.
Check to see that the sections which contain the links are all of the "Guided Navigation Link" object type.

Table or View doesn't exists error on Dashboard

Dear Gurus,
I can open online my repository, with import & view the tables and the views successfully.
But when I open it in dashboard, it show error:
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
I confuse because I can open it in repository and it ok.
I have also check tnsnames.ora in server to make sure the DSN is correct.
Is there any step I should do?

JOEMay be u dont have permission to that particular Subject Area...please check all the permissions...and also check whether u renamed any thing after importing into Physical layer...
