No More Delete Option After Viewing Videos?

It used to be that the Iphone asked you if you wanted to delete videos to conserve space on the phone after you were done watching them. Have they taken this option away with the latest update because it never asks me anymore? I need to conserve space and only want to delete one TV episode. I cant figure if this is just a setting option in the phone that I can't find or if it's a permanent update.

Hey BigScary,
That option is gone but you can now swipe the title of the video and then delete it.
Start from the home page> iPod> Videos> Slide your finger from left to right across the title of the video> tap delete.

On the website, The Daily Beast, they offer a collection of short videos to view. When I click on that offer, the video page comes up with the first video ready to play, and it will play. However, there is supposed to be (underneath the video) a group of #s representing other videos to view (1,2,3...) and a "next" arrow to proceed to next video. Those do not appear, so you cannot advance to any other video after the first one. Thanks

Not a clue. I tend to avoid anything that even hints of being from M$. After being forced to use it during my year working in IT, I now really enjoy being able to tell them to take a flying leap.
Personally from what little I saw on their opening page, I personally feel that iTunes has more then enough movies to suit me and it is Mac compatible.

My browser in Safari keeps freezing, especially after viewing video. Any hints? Mac OS X 10.6.8

After opening Safari and navigating/viewing a few web pages, the browser bar freezes up midway through an attempt to load a new page. Then requires a reset on the computer to get it going again!
Any tips?? I have Safari 5.1.2

You can "force quit" Safari... there are several ways.
One, from your Apple menu (top left in your screen). From the drop down menu click Force Quit or Command + Option + Esc on your keyboard.
You can also force quit apps using Activity Monitor located in /Applications/Utlities.
Empty the browser cache more often. From your Safari menu bar, click Safari > Empty Cache
Or try resetting. Back to the menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari.

I tried the manual method. I was able to set the music/video to manual and then restarted the entire system. After restart, I re-attached the ipod touch to the computer. The sync automatically ran for everything that wasn't set to manual and it completed without a problem. I then reset the music/video to automatically sync and restarted the entire coputer/ipod set again. This time when I re-attached the ipod, EVERYTHING synced and there were no problems reported. I've never had to do this before, but I will keep it in mind if something like this happens again. Thank you for pointing me to the manual sync.

HT2506 After updating my system to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 I can no longer view videos on Facebook or other sites. The only one I can view videos on is youtube. I have downloaded Adobe Flash player and still no luck. I cannot even open Preview on my computer

Merely clicking the Preview icon in the Dock doesn't cause it to open anything, unless you had one or more windows open the last time it quit.
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.
1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, triple-click the line below to select it:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. If there is more than one item in the folder with the words "Flash Player" (not "flashplayer") in the name, open the respective Info windows, check the version numbers, and delete all except the latest. I have deleted my photos but have icloud. when i log into icloud it doesnt give me an option to view these photos at all. my photo stream is only showing photos from another iphone in the house. i am unsure if i do a restore from back up if this will work

If you had Photo Stream enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone, photos in the Camera Roll should have been transferred to your photo steam automatically when the iPhone was connected to an available wi-fi network.
Your photo stream is not available when logging in with your iCloud account with a browser on a computer.
Why were the photos in the Camera Roll deleted?
Photos/videos in the camera roll are included with your iPhones backup. If your iPhone's backup has not been updated since the photos were deleted from the camera roll, you can try restoring your iPhone from the backup.

HT4528 With IOS 7 I had to move my photos and videos off to a backup to install the IOS. When they moved back to the phone during a sync I have no way to delete them. The trashcan stays grayed out and the usage page doesn't give me a delete option.

I got the message that IOS 7 was ready to download. I wish I had read the reviews on it first. I had to move my photos and videos off the phone to free up memory space for the install. I was still able to see the phone with a file browser and grabbed the photos and videos and stored them in a directory on my hard drive. Meanwhile my itunes updated too. So with my files moved and deleted from the phone I made a backup of the phone. I installed the ios 7. When I synced the itunes moved my backup directories back to the phone. I can't figure out how to remove them from the phone. Under photos they have installed themselves with the names iphone09282013 and videos directories. When I access them I don't get a delete option. The trashcan is greyed out. The settings usage page no longer gives me the swipe delete function. How do I remove these files to free up space now that I have them saved to my computer?

After installing Adobe Flash Player Plugin to view videos on youtube, mozilla gets hangs intermittently. Please help

I installed Firefox 23.0.1 and after that It asked me to install Flash Player Plugin to view videos on Youtbe. I installed Flash Player 11 Plugin and since then Mozilla started hanging/freezing intermittently. It hangs on those websites also where videos are not running.
I uninstalled Flash Player 11 Plugin and it works smoothly without it.

This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common reasons for Flash problems in Firefox:
(1) Make sure all recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them.
(2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
(A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"

I have 7 email accounts on my phone. If I tap EDIT while viewing the Trash folder in any of them I see "Mark All" on the left and "Delete All" on the right. If you tap any message, however, the legends go away.

Safari problem after viewing youtube video

I've been having a problem with Safari after following links from Facebook to youtube videos. After viewing the video and returning to Safari I only see the address bar. If I minimise the Safari window I get a screen that's 90-95% white with just the top edge of the minimised windows showing. My only workaround is to kill Safari and reload.
Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution to it? I'm wondering if it's a memory related issue.

I have occasional safari-memory issues where I have to kill the background apps and safari to get full function back.
I either:
1) kill all apps and reset the ipad with home/power reset.
2) Kill all apps and run "System Activity Monitor"
The second option I started doing last week and so far, it seems to work OK.

I think I figured out how to fix it-
I found that if I only delete a small amount at the beginning and at the end of the section that I want to remove - and then highlight that section - Then (and only then) does the "Delete and Move" function work to remove the unwanted section and automatically close the gap between the surrounding sections. I was trying to select a whole section and could only delete it - and then manually move it.
Problem solved.

Error message displayed is: This video isn't encoded for your device.
How can this happen as some time back it was all fine until I updated the iOS.

The video won't play where I am but this might work for you. Go to the website. Tap the URL field. Pull your Favorites down. Tap request desktop site.

Before/after viewing options

Hi all,
Sometimes I get the option to view "before" and "after" versions by clicking down on the left-hand side just above the Project Bin -- and sometimes it's not there. Does anyone know why that is only sometimes there? And a way to put it there when it's not? I use PSE 10 as the external editor of Aperture, and everything I edit in PSE 10 comes from Aperture.

That "before and after" option is only available when you use the "Guided Edit" feature -- it uses a modified version of the Editor's window. Think of it as a feature-specific workspace.
As far as I know, there's no way to get that functionality in the Full Editor window, unless you open an independent copy of the image you're working on.
