No more K-series?

I have been looking at purchasing a K-series desktop for a bit now and there are no models that are listed on the Lenovo website.
Is the K-series going away to make room for a new desktop series or is it simply out of stock?

Chart Multiple Series - Line/Column Alignment

In one of the pages from the charting section of the Adobe's
online Flex help,

there's a picture near the top showing a line chart overlaid
on a column chart, and the endpoints of the line segments are
centered horizontally within each bar.
There are two code samples later in the page showing similar
charts, but the bars are only half as wide as they are in the first
picture, and the result is that the line segment endpoints coincide
with the right edges of the bar instead of the bar centers.
I'm wondering how to produce a graph like the first picture.
I tried different combinations of columnWidthRatio but nothing
seemed to help. If I add more line series to the examples, the bars
become thinner, as if the ColumnChart determines the bar width
according to the
total number of series, not just the number of column
series.
I thought about trying to add an ItemRenderer to the
ColumnSeries, but it seems that should be an easier way. Any ideas?

Time Series Measures

Greetings All,
I created two time series measures in a fact table using AGO and TODATE - e.g., last month sale and year to date sales
In Answer when I select one of these two fields the data returned are correct. However, when I select both fields in a report I am getting error: column does not exist in this table.
Is selecting two or more time series measures not allowed?
Here is the entire error msg:

Yes, I have Calendar Month Name in Month level and it is indeed not unique. How do I remove it?

I am using the tables from SH schema for testing.
The chronological key is Times Id which to the best of my knowledge is correct.
I tried the following:
Highlight Calendar Month Level > right click > Display Related > Logical Key > Edit > unchecked Use for drilldown.
Moved Calendar Month Name under Times Detail
After This change the Times dim levels are as follows:
Time Total
       Year
            Calendar Year
            Calendar Year ID
          Quarter
               CalendarQuarter Desc
               Calendar Quarter Id
               Month
                     Calendar Month Desc
                     Calendar Month Id
                  Times Detail
                     Time Id
                     Calendar Month Name                        After this change,
(1) I can select Calendar Month Desc, Last Month Sales and Month to Date sales and the results are correct.
(2) However, when I add Amount Sold to the query in (1), I am getting error with following msg:

N Series

Dear Forum Members,
i have connected on N series Router with my dsl connection and i want to attach one more N Series to make available on 1st flor of the home.
1. do i need to connect it with the cable?
2. do i need to disable DHCP server of my 2nd N Series router?
3. do i need to define advance routing on 2nd N Series router of 1st N Series router?
4.can i connect 2nd N Series router with 1st N Series router wirelessly?
please note that my asdl modem is wired and not wireless....

that i have tried and there is no issue in this but the reason i need to do this wirelessly is i dont wnat to break my connection while roaming arround the office. in wire connection when the user move away from 1st router to 2nd router it disconceted the first one and connected to 2nd one whihc is not workable in my case. it just want to keep connected if user is roaming arround.

Series of programmes on demand

Hi all,
I have previously watched series 1 and 2 of footballers wives so i was glad when series 1-5 appeared this week.
However, 3-5 only have 4 episodes in each when there should be 9?
Is this an accident and will the rest appear? If not whats the point as you dont want to watch any more past series 3 episode 4?
Found this with a few things and its really annoying and i feel a bit cheated,

Welcome to the Forum.
I can advise that Footballers Wives’ is a Warner TV title, their series launch with a certain number of episodes then two episodes are added a week, once the complete series is live it remains there for 4 weeks. Episodes 5 and 6 went live yesterday, 7 and 8 will go live on 15th and 9 on the 22nd.

Any suggestions for what to look for in a good production monitor?

I'm in the market for a production monitor and I'm looking at B&H's online catalogue now. Any tips on what to look for and if anyone has any recommendations or favorites? Thanks.

it would help if you could determine a budget and then shop for models within or slightly above that budget.
basically, some necessary items are switchable aspect ratio, underscan/overscan and then some sort of blue check for proper chroma and phase calibration. some monitors have a gray scale blue check which i think completely blows. it's better to have a monitor with viewable red, blue and green guns as the blue gun is more accurate for calibration than a grayscale blue check feature. also, there are other diagnostic functions that are viewable by using the red or green guns to view color bars.
some other nice features to have are horizontal/vertical delay, sdi inputs, hd-sdi inputs.
it's been mentioned in the last larry jordan newsletter than the crt monitor is going the way of the dinosaur and now sony and panasonic are marketing lcd products only. i think this is a very sad trend. as a freelance video operator/camera shader, i am of the opinion that lcd monitors are horrible; they hurt my eyes and the color rendition isn't as accurate as a crt. leitch is now manufacturing an lcd scope which is just terrible to behold. the black area of the vectorscope is a huge, amorphous blob of white light that shows no signal detail whatsoever.
i don't know what to make of larry's statement as a quick check of the sony business website reveals only bvm crt's in their product lineup, no more pvm series. i haven't looked at the panasonic product catalog yet.
although the sony pvm L5 that shane mentioned is a quality product, to my eyes, i would get an ikegami monitor but you'll find that the superior imaging of the ikegami also has a superior price point.
one last point, don't buy an used monitor from ebay, you don't know where it's been or how it's been treated. give jvc monitors a fair shake as well, not a bad product for the price, no matter what their reputation is.

Business Graphics, intermixing chart types

Has anyone tried to intermix chart types? Specifically, i'm trying to display a "column" type chart, but I would like to have a straight horizontal line through the chart indicating a key value or values. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Making pie chart in numbers for ipad

I am just getting started with numbers on my ipad. I have 4 columns of data, the first is an ID number column and the other three are checkboxes. I would like to make a pie chart that show's the percentage of rows that have each of the three checkbox columns checked. I am highlighting all three columns to be included in the chart and they all show up in the legend at the top of the chart, but the pie itself is just the color of the first column with 100% in the middle. The data show that 5/10 boxes are checked in column A, 6/10 in column B and 4/10 in column C. Not sure what I'm doing wrong....

A pie chart can only handle one column of labels and one column of values. You will have to summarize your data in a table that has one column of labels and one column of values if you want to make a pie chart of it.
Think about what a pie chart is. You have pieces of a pie and labels. How would you display any more data series in that context?

Images disappearing from slideshow - also unable to export these photos

Hi I hope someone can help me....
I made a slideshow of holiday photos and it played successfully 5 or 6 times, but when I came back to it recently some of the photos just don't appear (black screen) - when I went through it the photos that weren't appearing are still in the preview strip at the top of the page, but when selected, a grey box with a dotted line around it and a question mark in the middle appears.
I didn't worry about this for a while, but now I am finding that I cannot export these photos either. It seems to be random - some photos I can burn to disc and some I can't. Is there anything I am missing, should I be looking for some info regarding these photos to see why they are behaving differently from others? This is now also happening to photos in my library that I haven't put in a slide show....

To be honest I'm not sure why sometimes there's an exclamation point, and somtimes a question mark, but it essentially means the same thing. iPhoto cannot find the file.
Assuming that you haven't been changing this in the iPhoto Library Folder then we have to assume that the database is corupt - which can happen from time to time. Sometimes the rebuild will fix it. Let's try an different method of rebuilding:
Download iPhoto Library Manager from
http://homepage.mac.com/bwebster/iphotolibrarymanager.html
and use it to rebuild the library. It has a more robust series of tools for the job.
In any event your pictures should be safe in the iPhoto Library Folder.
In this folder there are various files, which are the Library itself and some ancillary files. Then you have three folders
Originals are the photos as they were downloaded from your camera or scanner.
(ii) Modified contains edited pics, shots that you have cropped, rotated or changed in any way.
This allows the Photos -> Revert to Original command - very useful if you don't like the changes you've made.
(iii) Data holds the thumbnails the the app needs to show you the photos in the iPhoto Window.
So, if you back up the iPhoto Library Folder it will save your photos.

Design View is un-usable

I am using the new Flashbuilder 4 on a Macbook Pro running Parallels for using Windows XPpro. I installed the trial version of Flashbuilder 4 and when I go to the "Design View" my display is whitted out. By this I mean the entire display is white with no icons, no canvas, no toolbars showing. If I roll my cursor over some of the icons they will appear, however, this is not true for all the icons and menus. If I use "Source View" then the application seems to run fine. While I had a thread discussion at Flashbuilder 4 brings machine to screeching HALT! I opened this discussion as it addresses a completely new item as I realized the topic and initial details related to problems/solutions which I "thought" were right, but not. This topic addresses a more true series of events surrounding my problem.

No, I would not consider that big. But if code hinting is slow also, that may be more of an OS/Builder thing and not really a Flex SDK issue. I have a Windows 7 and Windows XP laptop at work and run Windows 7 Ultimate at home and havent seen any performance problems (although I'm not sure which are running 32 bit vs 64 bit OSes actually).

Are you using a 64-bit JVM? It sounds like you're running Flash Builder Plug-in, so try this:
1) Close Eclipse
2) Open the eclipse.ini file where your eclipse.exe is located
3) Add a new line after "-vmargs" and on that line type "-d32"
4) Restart Eclipse
A 32-bit JRE is required http://www.adobe.com/products/flex/systemreqs/. "-d32" will force your JVM into a 32-bit mode.
You're likely seeing Design view crash because Flash Player support for 64-bit http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/000/6b3af6c9.html.
Alternatively, you can install a 32-bit JVM and assign that to JAVA_HOME.
Would either of these recommendations be a solution to my "Design View" rendering problem?

My customer is planning to start development of J2EE applications to be deployed on VMS / Oracle-Rdb.
Question 1: when is planned the official release of native JDBC for Rdb ?
Question 2: is there any plan to have SQLJ for Rdb ?

Let us know if the following is/is not the issue.
Note that the deploying the resulting .java file is not sufficient. If your SQLJ source contains SQL statements, it will also produce one or more resource (.ser) files.
For example:
Foo.sqlj might produce Foo.java and Foo_SJProfile0.ser
The .ser file contains a description of the SQL code that is to be executed and thus is absolutely essential. You can either deploy this as a resource, or convert it to a class file (with the SQLJ command line option -ser2class), or convert it to a .java file (with the command line "tool": java sqlj.runtime.profile.util.SerProfileToClass).
This gives you a plethora of choices for deploying SQLJ applications (e.g. with the loadjava tool):
(1) % loadjava <options> Foo.sqlj
(2) % sqlj Foo.sqlj
% loadjava <options> Foo.java Foo_SJProfile0.ser
(3) % sqlj -ser2class Foo.sqlj
% loadjava <options> Foo*.class
(4) % sqlj Foo.sqlj
% java sqlj.runtime.profile.util.SerProfileToClass Foo_SJProfile0.ser
% loadjava <options> Foo.java Foo_SJProfile0.java
One caveat: if you deploy with one of these methods you want to drop the sources/resources/classes you deployed before redeploying with a different method. Otherwise you encounter conflicts during deployment.
(One of these days we'll make life easier and eliminate the need for .ser's)
I'll defer to the JDeveloper folks for what/how you could reasonably accomplish this within the JDeveloper environment (what version are you using?).

How to aggregate columns into one in a bar chart

Hello.
Maybe the title of my question is not clear (i suspect as much) but here is my situation:
I have a MDX dataset with this data
Project, Turnover
A,100
B,120
C,50
D,20
Plotting this in a Chart produces the correct result: it gives me a chart with 4 columns.
What i want however is to add all these values into one column and have the chart show only one as i will be adding more data series (via lookUp) that will show additional related data.
Can this be achieved?

Based on my understanding, you want to create a bar chart. In the chart, multiple series are stacked on a column. Within the same category, you want to use Lookup() function to add related values of those series, then make these values stack on the second
column. In your scenario, two columns exist within one category, and for each column, values of multiple series are stacked, right?
In Reporting Service, when adding multiple values(in your scenario, it would be Project) to series and these values are grouped by one category, multiple values are stacked vertically on a column within one category. If these values are not grouped by the
same category, it’s unable to make multiple series stack vertically on a column. If we add other related values in Values, these values will stack vertically on the original column based on series. So your requirement can’t be completely achieved currently.
As we tested in our environment, within the same category, the related values will be stacked horizontally on the original values of each series within a bar. Please refer to screenshots below:

Are there any driver updates available for the L850-162?
I'm just running with the ones that came installed with the laptop but the display is pixellated and jumpy when watching video.
Any help/advice would be much appreciated

Sat L850-162 is a part of the PSKDGE and it has been equipped with an Intel HD (INTEL HM76) Express chipset (graphic chip)
There are more Toshiba series which use the same chipset so you could also use the drivers released for such notebook models.
For example:
C850 PSKC8E
C855 PSKC8E
C870 PSC8EE
L830 PSK84E
L870 PSKBGE
P850 PSPKBE
and others
At least you could also try to use the Intel HD HM76 driver from the Intel page.

Ms-office, Quickoffice, pdf reader for 6233

hi, i want to know can i use ms-office applications like word, exel, powerpoint, pdf reader with my 6233 phonr. these features are available with nokia N72 phone. there are some softares like Nokia_N72_AdbeRdr.sis,
Nokia_N72_Quickoffice.SIS are available for N72.

The 6233 cannot read these types of files because it is a more basic series 40 phone.
Only series 60 smartphones can read these files.
