No More Virtual Tiles Issue

I am currently running as adminitrator, I can open an image, edit it, save and close it. Then I open a second image to edit and I get "No more virtual tiles can be allocated" BUT if I close out of the entire program and reopen, I can edit. This is a tedious way to work. Is there something I can do to have the program run normally so I wont have to open and close the program for each indiviudal image I want to edit? I am working in Photoshop CS6 Extened on a PC with windows 8 if that has any influence..Thank you!

And how much RAM does it have? What are your settings for the PS swap file? The system page file? What images? What operations/ tools/ functions? Running out of memory can have all sorts of reasons. Your info si simply incomplete and insufficient.

I just installed CS3 and I get the error message "No more virtual tiles can be allocated" when I try to run certain filters like most of the "sketch" ones.
I've tried to increase the memory usage to 1380MB (80%), Cache levels to 8 and I still get the error.
What's a virtual tile and how can I allocate more?

This machine had a single partition/logical drive C: and so was the swap location. The problem was circumvented by running in Admin mode but this causes other issues with registry and the IT team if you have to listen to one.
I stopped the error.
But all I did was shrink my main partition and add a small partition so I have two local physical drives.
Now understand I did NOT tell PS to use that drive for anything. But it does create a temp file on the new logical drive call "300017921_MVM_0.tmp" when I do a distort lens correction.

No more virtual tiles can be allocated

Just installed PSE13 x64 on Windows 8.1. When attempting to select "Correct camera distortion" from the filter menu, I immediately got the error "no more virtual tiles can be allocated". I checked, and my scratch disk was set to an SSD with 53Gb of free space. Allocated a second slower HDD scratch disk with 2Tb of free space and the error disappeared. I'm rather surprised that 53Gb was considered insufficient scratch space. The image I was attempting to correct was a 16 megapixel DNG from my Ricoh GR that I had just opened through Camera Raw.

Hi, when I click ion filter gallery a error pops up saying No more virtual tiles can be allocated.
I am running the latest version of Photoshop cc 2014
I have 5 gigs allocated ram to Photoshop
and enough space on the scratch disks.
I am running windows 7.

Following on from yesterday, I realise why I'm getting this error. See I believe this is a bug. Incompatibility with MS UAC.

The problem does not appear, if PH Elements 13 is executed in the administrator mode.
The available computer resources are rather large enough: CPU INTEL i7 4 cores, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD + 32GB SSD, Windows 8.1.

Thank you for the quick answer. In the meantime I found other way to pass by the problem. I increased the cache level up to the maximum value 8.
The errors reported as "No more virtual tiles can be allocated" vanish, but I still do not understand, why PSE 13 cannot work properly by the lower cache levels, having available maximum resources it needed (10443 MB RAM and 26.53GB SSD space for scratches), or cannot collaborate with the fast SSDs properly.

When that message came up, you had less than half a gig of disk space left (because that is what can trigger the message). After closing the filter, the space in use was freed - but while running the filter, you did not have enough disk space + RAM to complete the operation, hence the message.

When using the following filters in Photoshop CS6 all updated installed:
Adaptive Wide Angle
Lens Correction
I get the following error:
No more virtual tiles can be allocated.
I have 8 GB of RAM and 100 GB free on my only partition and a GeForce 880 FX graphics card.
For this test I am using a small 2 MB 1000x500 px jpeg image. But I tried with a lot of different images.
I already deleted the Photoshop settings and played around with the performance settings.
Any tips?

I closed all foreground and background programs and had only photoshop open.
Also I played around with the performance settings in Photoshop, also disabling GPU acceleration, without any success.

Filter for reducing wiggly photos shows no more virtual tiles can be added

Laptop: Lenovo W 701, 32 GB RAM
Photoshop-Version: CC 2014.2.1 (64 Bit)
When I try to activate the filter to reduce wiggly photos, the current photoshop-Version Shows an error-message:
"No more virtual tiles can be added".
In Prior Versions of Photoshop CC I could use the filter. But now it's not possible any more.
Also small photos Show the error and RAM is free.
Please can you help!!!

Usually means you're out of scratch disk space.
And that feature wasn't even introduced until Photoshop CC.

have a problem using a model for both UPDATE and SELECT queries because of a
computed column...correct?
If so, this issue is solved in JATO 1.2. 1.2 has an attribute in the field
descriptor to indicate in which type of queries a field should be used. You
can use this attribute to indicate that a field should only be used for
UPDATE queries, SELECT queries, or whatever combination of query types you
require. You can then define synthetic fields for use only during one of
the query types.
Does this sound useful in fixing your issue? A way around this in JATO 1.1
would be to create separate models for SELECT and UPDATE queries. The
SELECT model could contain all the fields for the joined query, but the
UPDATE model would contain info for only one table. The 1.2 feature simple
allows you to do the same using one model.

Sorry for the delay with the answer, I've tried to obtain JATO 1.2
and repeat the project migration to verify whether version 1.2 solves
my problem or not (actually, it is a pilot sub-project).
Unfortunately, I still have no 1.2 version.
Let me try to answer on your question without getting the results
with JATO 1.2. Your explanation sounds like version 1.2 is very close
to solve the problem. Actually, our situation is easier because we
have SELECT object only, not SELECT and UPDATE. For data integrity
the only 'Select' ND's do(s) have been used through the whole
project. The backend communication (update, delete) is provided via
EJB like (entity) Java classes.
My question is: could I define synthetic field with 1.1.1 version. By
the way, word synthetic reflects the possibility to construct the
field under certain SQL circumstances (SELECT, UPDATE, e.g.) or the
possibility to construct a `fake' field (for example,
CountColumn of a do) as well. If the later is true, could you please
give a brief idea how to create this synthetic field.
After the translation in the doPriorityCountModelImpl class we've
got:

I have removed the ecp site from default site and attempting to rerun SP1 now. I do not have high hopes. :(

From the error description, you need to manually remove the ECP with IIS manager in both the Default Web Site and the Exchange Back End firstly. And then continue the upgrade to check the result.

I get a error when opening the filter gallery:
in dutch: "U kunt niet meer virtuele tegels toewijzen." this is the same as the english "No new virtual tiles can be allocated"
as administrator everything works fine, but then I cannot to my network drives.
so room on C is not the problem.
I will not disable UAC

so I think this is an error "bug" in the code of the filters, that they do not use the same Temp space directory. ("D:\temp\" for PS)
and why can you not set the temp directory in the settings but only the drives PS can use?
please be aware of that this problem that is very old (when goolge on the error) is still be actual (I'm a new user of CC so I use the newest up-to-date version)

Select a raw dng image in LR 5 and right-click to edit in Photoshop CC.
Then, following the steps in all the video tutorials, choose Filter->Sharpen->Shake Reduction.

And that feature wasn't even introduced until Photoshop CC.

CS5 save as CS4 makes Large File and sees virtual memory issue

Two CS5 flash files. FileSource 27Mb File Destination 21.8Mb
They open in 80 seconds for each.
FileSource has 15 MovieClips, 5 show areas of the map in a variety of colours, shape intensive one could say ! These are made into one movie clip and copy pasted to the FileDestination. In CS5 it then crashes.
I turned these instead into CS4 files, they open in 10 seconds ! WOW !!! I needed to adjust the text which had become two lines from one though.
I try again for the CopyPaste of the movie Clip from library to library, this time I get a message Flash is out of memory. To increase virtual memory, quit Flash and allocate more virtual memory in the Systems Properties dialog box.
In there I see
Initial   2046Mb

Recommended 4605Mb
I alter this to:
Initial 3800Mb
Max    4600Mb
Reboot PC (Win XP SP2 wih 4Gb ram, purpose built video editing suite) and try again, but again get the memory message. Such a powerful PC should handle Flash. PC at work also crashing with CS5.
I thought I was winning with the quick handling of the files in CS4 but File size is now alarmingly FileSource 76.1Mb and FileDestination 58.4Mb   WHY ? and why does it open them so quick but fall over on the copy paste ?
CS4 opens these in 8 not 80 secs, but that save as CS4 has bloated their file size, quick to open but causing virtual memory failure.
I am defeated
Does CS5 have some way of keeping size down ? I can’t use CS5 as it crashes when pasting the MovieClip from the source file to destination.
Can I get Flash to simplify the layers perhaps ? There are many shapes of the same colour which perhaps could be fused into one, lessening the number of vector edges. How is that done ? I am making an swf file for a clients powerpoint slide show.

Possible good news. I've been away and hadn't opened DW since also having had a problem with Finder and external drives on my return. When I opened it today, and needed to do a 'Save As' , it did it with no problem of rendering. Though there have been no DW updates, there was updates to PS and ID. So I'll tentatively say the problem has gone away - hopefully for good.
Just editing this post. I happened to turn Live View on etc.. for the first time in a couple of weeks due to the above. I realsied this morning I hadn't turned it on. Now it is just as before when I try to 'Save As' - blank, an then have to close and reopen for it to render (even though the Live View/Live Code is now stiched off).
No I don't know how to turn this thread back into an 'Unanswered' question.

AIR for Desktop – Video 'wall' using 'virtual' tiles

Creating a huges video wall- 10x6 ft which is actually 1 large screen and will display a variety of video, pictures and text content. I want to break up the screen using 'virtual' tiles. A variety of approaches will be taken to create transitions, 3d rotation effects, ripple effects etc.
I know I will make ample use of Bitmapdata, rednering my video(s) and loaded images off stage and probably copyPixel or drawRect methods to render my main canvas.
What are some other 'best pratices' I should keep in mind to optimize performance and playback?
What are some general guidelines for video encoding if all video content will be prerendered and played back locally?

1.Make sure you understand the big differences between video and stagevideo, its tempting to think that stagevideo is the better videosoultion in any case, but its not.

2.In a performance heavy environment the combination stageVideo+greensock might not be the optimal solution, if you have time to reprogram Starling/feathers will probably give you a much better performing combination:

3.I don`t know how you encode your Backgroundvideo, there are literally dozens of viable codecs that should differ extremly in how they stress the gpu/cpu. Maybe you have to experiment with a lower than HD resoultion and see if scaling up the background is a good compromise.
