No motherboard for N6500S

Question

I am writing this letter to comment on the service of the Nokia Service Centre.
I had sent my phone in for repairs at the Suntec Nokia Service centre on 26 April 2008 due to a malfunction in my Nokia 6500 Slide phone after only buying it for 7 days
After sending in, i was told that generally repairs will take at least 3 to 5 working days. Satisfied with the reply, i left my phone with the staff.
About a week later, i called up the Nokia hotline to enquire on the status of the phone and whether i could return to pick up my repaired phone. The operator had replied that they will call me once the phone is ready. However as i require the phone urgently and went down personally to the Suntec Nokia Service Centre and the officer that said that they will email HQ to expediate the process and will get back to me within 24 hours. No phone calls was received and i called up the hotline again to enquire on the status and the answer i get is that they will relate my message to the service centre. The following day i received a call from Nokia telling me the phone was not ready. What is the point to getting back to me just to tell me that my phone will not be ready? I just want a definite answer when can I collect my phone.
I called up the following few days also to get an unsatisfactory answer. The following week, i received a call telling me that they are waiting for the motherboard and they had already order the motherboard. They also cannot promise when can i get the phone. Until today, nearly 1 month, i had yet to receive my phone.
Some questions that popped in my head,
1) Why is there no spare parts in Singapore given that the phone model has been in the market for at least half a year?
2) Why is it that i have to wait indefinitely for my repaired phone? in Singapore, the mobile contract is 24 months and is Nokia telling me that out of 24 months, i have to forgo the use of the phone for few months?
3) Given today's efficient network of transportation, does it take so long for the motherboard to arrive in Singapore?
4) The handphone was only a few days old, why is Nokia not able to give a one-to-one swop? Believe that other electrical manufacturers does give a one-to-one swop if there is a malfunction within a certain period.
