No mouse over descriptions pse7

Installed pse7 after uninsalling pse3. Is there a setting so when I place the cursor over the symbols on the left side, it gives adescription of what it is? i.e. when I place the mouse over spot healing the word "spot healing" be made to appear.
Also, when I'm using ereaser, in pse3, when I outlined what I wanted in to do, it would complete the ereasing after releasing the mouse button. Now, in pse7, it leaves a gray splotch of whatever size outline I made. Is there some sort of preference or setting I need to change?
thanks.
Markie

For your gray splotch, is gray in your background color square? If so, the problem is that you are erasing on a background layer. Background layers can't be transparent, so instead you get the background color. Double click the layer in the layers palette to turn it to a regular layer and erasing should give you transparency (if you use the background or magic erasers, they do this automatically. The regular eraser doesn't.)

  • Display of IPTC description during mouse-over in filmstrip

    Windows XP SP3, LR3
When you move your mouse over an image in the film strip, you get a temporary popup showing the IPTC title and description fields from the image.
Unless I have missed something, this behavior can not be changed.
This can be a problem when the description field is VERY long.  It can cover up a significant portion of the screen and can be very annoying.
I have a number of pictures where I have a VERY long narative about that particular picture.  It is annoying as I move over these images in the filmstrip and see huge popups momentarly appear.
There should be some way to either disable this feature, or at least limit the amount of description field that is shown.

Thank you!  I should have thought of that myself.  Now that I think about it, I knew that what was displayed there was controlled by what you have set in View options.

  • Thumbnails/Mouse Over's next to Description in report

    Hi
can we have thumbnails and mouse over’s for every report next to its description in portals?
Your help in this regard will be appreciated
    Thanks
    Sriman

    Ben,
This is actually much easier that you are trying to make it.
Go to your List and edit it. Open any given list entry. Take the existing text in the List Entry Label section and put it inside the span tag. The List Entry Label is the actual text the users see in the list.
    List Entry Label:
My list entry to Page XXnow becomes
<span title="My customized description of this list entry">My list entry to Page XX</span>Now when you mouse-over the text in the list entry, you will see the description in the title section appear. This works for ordered lists, tabbed page navigation lists, bulleted lists and more.

  • How do you create the 'cream pop-up info text boxes' that appear when you hover mouse over?

    Hi people,
I really need to know how you create the 'cream pop-up info text boxes' that appear when you hover your mouse over an object on a webpage (and often in any program e.g. Photoshop) for more than a second. I need to know because the logo on my website is the navigation tool used to return to the homepage. It is always found in the top left so the user can always click it to return.
The only problem is im the only one who knows that when you click my logo, you return to the homepage. I need one of these 'cream info boxes' (forgive my lack of knowledge) to appear so the user will figure it out.
Thanks for taking the time to read my question...

Using your code it should look like this where title attribute is in red:
    <div id="apDiv2"><a href="index.html"><img src="divs_dw/jtgd_logo_trans.png" alt="jtgd_logo" title="your description goes here" width="176" height="163" /></a></div>

  • The "text in a yellow box" that appears when I hover the mouse over a selection or help tag.

The "help tag" (Or in most cases the unwanted tag)  often is in the way of what I want to look at.
This is especially true when you are looking at an item that has it's own pop up giving you a description or information.
When you hold the mouse over say.... a movie icon in XFinity, the icon of the movie expands and gives a brief synopsis, date and actors of said movie.
Unfortunately, I cannot read the synopsis for the "Help Tag" blocks all the content forcing you to try different ways of pointing to the movie icon so you can read parts of the discretion from every angle of approach then piece it altogether in your mind.
I DO NOT want "help tag".  It is extremely annoying and time consuming ergo it des not "help" it hinders.
Can it not be disabled (Like balloon help in OS 9) so you do not have to feel anger and frustration every time you see that yellow tag?

Ooo, I did not notice the article was from 2007.  Thansk for pointing that out.  I don't think I am going to try it.  It seems that with all the "little" apps the seem to keep growing in numbers, someone will come up with a solid program that would wok through system prefs.  I would pay the normal $20.00 for an app like that.

    Hi,
I think, there is no direct solution.
    There is a workaround.
    1. Disable mouse over Test.
    2. Enable drildown on mouse over and use that index to identify column which user selected.
    3. Display Material Description and Value using label components.
But the issue is ,we have to identify a placeholder in graph to display these values.

  • Meta text not showing on mouse over

Certain sites (such as [http://xkcd.com/789/]) use meta text to add more information, etc. when you run the mouse over the picture. This feature isn't working for me.

Do those image have a title attribute?
Firefox only displays a tooltip with the ''title'' attribute and not with the ''alt'' attribute that is meant to show descriptive text in case the image can't be displayed.

I want to respond to the content of a link inside htmlText

    What you do is use
    itemRollOver and the event.itemRenderer.data.name together.
I used it so when I roll over an item in the dataGrid it
changes the text area I have in my application with the description
of the current rolled over item. When I mouse over another entry
then the description changes to that description and on and on.
Here is the full code I used.
    itemRollOver="NAME_OF_TEXT_AREA.text =
    event.itemRenderer.data.description"
you would change the description to whatever the field is you
want, such as name, author, temp, books or whatever the data is.
I am actually bringing in data on videos from a database. XML
is created from the database using the XML plugin from Dreamweaver
Developer ToolBox. A PHP file is used to output the desired table
information then it is brought into Flex 2 application and the data
is propigated into the Data Grid I have setup. The Text Area is
updated with the description of the video both when one is selected
but also, now, when any of the items in the list are moused over,
    or rolled over.
It works great. You can easily change this to work for your
app or at least give you a direction to go if it isn't exactly what
    you need.
I have been trying to get this to work for a couple days now,
just found my solution and wanted to come post to let others know
    about it.

  • Mouse over display stays on top when Firefox isn't front app

FireFox 3.6.10 but has been going on a few versions.
On startup the FireFox icon I double click on my desktop is in the same screen location as one of the hot bar items. When Firefox finishes loading it displays the mouse over information for that hotbar item despite Firefox not being the front application, and mouse being moved. The floating window doesn't go away until Firefox is made the front application, and this blocks the front application.
Its a minor annoying bug, but happens every time FireFox is launched.

    Hi NicoMan,
According to your description ,we seem to suffer a performance issue here.
Have you tried to open the task manager to check the system performance  ? Is there any specific process occupied many system resources ?Will the issue occur only with the specific applications ?
We can try to restart the Windows Explorer process to have a check.
If it only occurred with the spefcific two applications ,we can try to end the other application processes manually from the task manager to have a check .
If this is caused by the specific application ,we may need to look for help from the third party support considering they are all the third party applications .

  • Specific region mouse over effect(Button 1 fades out and Button 2 fades in).

    Dear All -
I am new to Flash CS5 and building Flash navigation bar with buttons on it.
Below is my problem description that I want to solve with your help.
I have a rectangular bar and placed one small button(Button 1) on this bar. Also, I have similar button(Button 2) with some graphics on it which is of similar size as to previous Button 1.
    Button 1 - Without graphic.
Button 2 - With graphic on it.
What I want is that, whenever mouse is taken over Button 1 placed on the rectangular bar, it should fade out and simultaneously Button 2 should fade in. I want only button region to be sensitive to this mouse over effect and not the complete rectangular bar.
Kindly let me know how can I define the specific region(button region only) to be sensitive to mouse over effect in flash, and how to place Button 1 and Button 2 in layers so that both are at the same positition(so that there is no displacement of button detected).
    Thank You,
    Saurabh Khanna.

    Hello -
Thank you for the reply. Button 1 does not have glowing effect, whereas Button 2 has a glowing effect. So what I wanted is that when initially Button 1 is loaded during page load, when I mouse over Button 1, Button 1 would fade out and Button 2 sitting behind Button 1 would automatically look like fade in(due to gradual fad out of Button 1 on top of Button 2).
I could do this now, and would like to Thank you for your reply.
I did this by creating movie clip on "Over" event of Button 1 and changing its Alpha property. But now what I want is how to gradually fade out, means when I remove my mouse from over button, then Button 2 should fade out gradually which will automatically make Button 1 fade in gradually.
I could not find the "Out" event just like we have "Over" event for Button, so I assume this can only be done using ActionScript somehow.
Let me know if I am going correct with my assumption, and possibly if you could help me achieve the remaining half(fading out gradually when mouse is removed from the button).
Thank You once again for your reply.
    Thank You,
    Saurabh Khanna.

  • Showing help text of controls when mouse over connector

I'm working with a system where we have decided to use input clusters for all data to all vi:s. These clusters are saved as strict type defs.
Our idea for documentation so far has been to write a description of what the vi does in the vi description, and describing the indata by documenting each element in the input clusters type defs.
This works very well for documentation printing purposes. However, we cannot see the descriptions of the indata in the help pop-up when mouse-over the vi.
Does anyone know a way of getting the documentation of the wired inputs to a vi when mouse-over the vi?
    Regards
    //Martin

Do you want to (1) see the help info (description and tip) for the cluster when you're on the front panel of the VI that uses it, or (2) do you want to see the help info when you're on a diagram of a calling VI using the VI with the cluster as a sub-VI?
    1. In LabView 6.1 or 7.0, you will see the help info for a strict type-def control on the front panel of a VI that uses it. I saved a cluster as a strict type-def. I added description and tip for the cluster itself and for individual elements within the cluster. Then I added the cluster to the front panel of a VI.
In either version 6.1 or 7, I can see the help info:
I can see the description of the cluster or the individual element (depending on where the mouse is pointing) whenever I have context help open (Ctrl-H
to toggle). I can see the tip for the cluster or individual element if the operate tool is selected.
After I added the strict type-def control to a VI, I went back to the control editor and modified the description and tip, then updated the control on the VI and saw the new info.
    2. When you're on the diagram of a calling VI using the VI with the cluster as a sub-VI, the only help info (description and tip) available is what you entered for the sub-VI. You can't see the help for the individual controls on the sub-VI unless you open the sub-VI. On the VI with the cluster, you can cut and paste help info from the cluster to the VI. On the diagram of the calling VI, with the wiring tool selected, you can see the name of the sub-VI terminal, but not the help info for that terminal.
Seeing the help for the individual control of a sub-VI when you're wiring it sounds like a good idea to me. Maybe in LabView 8?

  • Mouse Over Folder

I would like to set up a folder so that when I mouse over it I get one of those pop up labels with a short description. I suspect that Folder Actions will be able to do this for me but none of the default actions seem to cover it. Does anyone have any idea as to what I should be doing?

There is no support for this as far as I'm aware - at least not within AppleScript.

The cpu resources are only limited once the cpu's are 100% utilized. It is highly unlikely that dom0 will try to use 100% of a cpu, let alone all cpus. Only when there are no idle physical cpus would you run into issues.
You may want to try reducing the number of vcpus in the windows guest. I have seen reports from users claiming that having more vcpus in a windows guest causes it to run slower.

  • How to get mouse over shape to display data in Visio 2013?

    Hi Visio pros,
I am required to create a diagram of our servers rack setup and will be publishing to a Web page using Visio 2013.
The goal is to mouse over the server shape and have the data be displayed. I have followed arguably every solution on the internet. I am either doing it wrong, or it might be outdated information.
I'm hoping Paul Herber, or other Visio pros would be able to help me with this situation as I am on a tight schedule and have exhausted my resources.
    Things I have tried:
    user.visEquivTitle in ShapeSheet
    http://visualsignals.typepad.co.uk/vislog/2012/02/no-mouseover-with-visequivtitle.html
    and
prop.(data name) in the comments within the miscellaneous section of the ShapeSheet.

    Hi Sir!
I am open to the possibility that I may have done something wrong as I am very new to Visio.
Here are the steps I followed:
    http://visio.mvps.org/ShapeSheet/
Browser that I am using is Internet Explorer since I ran into problems with Google Chrome.
However, after more reading I noticed the User.visEquivTitle provides a tooltip. If it is what I think it is, which is a small yellow box displaying a string, my employer would not want that.
We're looking for something that will provide an aesthetic display of data after mouse over onto the shape.
Thank you very much for your help.

  • Spry Menu bar mouse-over?

    Hi there,
I have created a spry menu bar and it's almost finished but I am having trouble with these 2 things:
    1. Only the buttons that have submenus change when the mouse pointer moves over it. This happened when I applied a background image to the buttons.
    2. I don't want the background image to be applied to the submenu items. I want those to have just 1 color and another color when the mouse pointer moves over it. (If this last part isn't possible, I would just like the first part to happen: I want it to have a color and not the background image that I applied)
Could you please have a look at my CSS and tell me what I did wrong? Or what I should add?
    Thank you very very much.
