No music content after syncing itouch

After syncing my itouch, when I go to the music app, all I see is No Content. I tried syncing again and I still see No Content. I do see the songs when I am connected to itunes and can play them.
Any ideas??

There have been several posts here and on the iphone site about this.
The jury is still out what the fix will be. Some posts say it's a problem with the metadata and the orientation data contained there-in. I can not confirm that.
I do know that when I take a landscape screen snap, the orientation is wrong when I email or upload the photo to my computer.

No artist icons in music app after syncing iTunes Match

I recently bought an iphone 5s and after syncing my iTunes Match I noticed none of my artist have icons anymore. My iTunes Match is extremely organized and I would like to know if there is a solution to this? Before the icons were automatically updated with pictures of the artist that apple chose. Since this method is clearly no longer working, is there a way I can update them myself?

I had the same issue after restoring my new iPhone 5s from a backup of my iPhone 4s and this worked for me. After one of the iOS betas apple released a profile that adds a reset music and video library button in the Music settings. Install this profile on your iphone, I found it here (just pull this up in Safari on your iPhone):

After installing this disable iTunes match, then go to Settings -> Music -> Reset Music and Video Library, reenable itunes match and it should begin to download all your artwork again.
In the artist view it still doesn't seem to be showing the iTunes artist images that it was showing on my 4s and is showing on my ipad mini, but at least it's showing album artwork.

I see lots of "other" content after sync

I had a sync go bad one time during the music sync portion of the operation and since then I have had 3.5gb of other listed in my memory on itunes. How do I access this other content to delete it or confirm it it things that I really want. I believe it is a copy of my music that was being synced at the time because the other content was the same file size as my music content at the time.

I have added and deleted songs and that has not cleared the issue. The problem I have is that I have all my personal contacts on my phone and I do not have them in the computer that I sync with.......... MMMMMMMM guess I will copy my personal contacts and unload the photos and then do the restore. I appreciate your input

NEED HELP PLEASE!! I LOVE MY ITOUCH AND THE MUSIC IN IT BUT FOR SOME REASON AFTER UPGRADING THE SOFTWARE TO IOS 4.2, IT DID THE BACKING UP PROCEDURE, AND TOOK A LONG TIME. SO, WHEN IT GOT DONE, THERE IS NOTHING LEFT IN MY ITOUCH, AT ALL. I HAD TO BRING BACK THE APPS, (WHICH IS NO PROB FOR ME).. IT IS THE MUSIC AND VIDEOS THAT IS MISSING. background: this is a brand new itouch. I am attempting to sync it for the first time. I have the latest iotunes sw and it all works fine with my old nano.
When I go to sync my itouch, it acts as if it does it, with the progress bar duly noting the syncing of contacts, bookmarks, mail and notes...and "SPC's itouch." However, none of my library or podcasts actually end up in the itouch.
I did go and click the option in "device" tab to prevent auto syncing (because iread that somewhere here.) I have tried restarting, syncin, etc. 3x and every time it is the same...."no content"
Plese help! I want to love my itouch!

NEver mind...I figured this out. Tried to delete it (what on earth does "unmark this as a question" mean?!) Apologies...carry on!

Problem with Music Disappearing After Syncing

This has happened the last two times I tried to charge my iPod Touch (4th ed):
-I plug in the iPod, it automatically tries to sync the 1 or 2 songs I recently acquired.
-The Sync completes, and everything shows up as normal in iTunes (including ~8 MB devoted to music).
-When I try and access the music on the iPod, I receive a message saying "No Content Available" and suggesting I go to iTunes to download music.
If I try and resync, nothing happens (iTunes thinks all the music is there and available). In both cases I was able to fix it by restoring and redownloading all the music to my iPod, which does not seem ideal at all.
Is there any way to keep this from happening?

how many MP3s do you have on the phone?
Try going into you "Media" folder, but not into the music player, then clicking the menu button and choosing explore. brouse to the media card and see if you can see if Weezer is actually still on the card, just not listing in the media player. if so...

Problems After Syncing Itouch?

I recently bought a new laptop and attempted numerous times to set up my Itunes the way it was on my older one. However, although my songs appear normal/the way I want them to on my Itunes, after a sync- there are a handful of songs missing and many more with the titles and artists distorted into symbols on my Itouch. My Apps will not transfer as well. Ho do I go about fixing this problem when on my Itunes, everything seems fine? Any suggestions?

Something must have gone wrong during the sync, that's why your "other" sections is that big. Try again to restore "as new ipod", this time without using the last backup, it might contain corrupt files causing your problem.
After setting it up again, try to sync.

TS4062 iPod Touch not showing content after sync

iTunes says it is transferring over podcasts, but the latest podcasts don't show up on my iTouch. This just started this past week, and my iTouch is not full. I saw there was an operating system update yesterday (7.1.1), so I did that, hoping that would help, but no such luck. iTunes told me it was transferring another podcast over this morning, but still nothing new is showing up in my podcast area on my iTouch.

I am having a similar issue. I have a 1st-generation iPod touch, and a MacBook running Snow Leopard (OS 10.6.3) and iTunes 9.1.1. It's a bit old now and the WiFi isn't very good, but my iPod touch still works perfectly, except that it doesn't show up in iTunes, which I discovered yesterday when I tried to sync some new music. I got my iTouch G1 the first week they came out and it worked perfectly with my iBook G4 running Tiger, and also worked perfectly with my new MacBook running Leopard which replaced the iBook when its logic board bit the dust. I recently updated to Snow Leopard (about a month ago now), and now my iTouch doesn't show up in my iTunes sidebar, but a volume shows up in Disk Utility that could only be this iPod and things do happen when I plug in the iPod (the first time I connected it since I added some Snow to my Leopard, iPhoto opened and prompted a download of a screenshot I'd taken with the iPod). I'm mostly writing this right now because the support page pertinent to this issue is down due to some sort of Apple web maintenance and I'm tired of getting the same error message. I actually have everything on my Mac backed up, and when I installed Snow Leopard I just did a basic installation but have been thinking of going back and doing a clean wipe and install and then getting the iTunes and iPhoto libraries et cetera off of my external HD. Would this fix my problem? I figure that since my iPod touch's files and system have been constant throughout this, it must be some issue with Snow Leopard, however before I wipe everything and have to set my system up again from scratch, I would like to know if this problem would be fixed by doing that or if there is some problem inherent in Snow Leopard that needs to be manually fixed.

Music disappearing after syncing

Hello after downloading music ( zip file) and syncing from iTunes to my iPhone when I close iTunes the new music on my iPhone disappears.
I noticed new music I wanted from itunes on my iphone shows up in the MORE tab as HP and above that is Aaron's iphone-- HP is my computer.
I understand home sharing but how do I make the songs ( just 12 songs) add onto my iphone library of music?

i have plug my iphone on another computer and backed it up but was signed on with my friend apple ID so now all music, app etc which were on my iphone as been replace by his one how can i restore to its previous content knowing i cannot use the laptop anymore which is the one i used to backup mine with

After Syncing itouch 3rd Gen Mail functions will not work

Not sure where the iTouch goes to find the mail servers or what program is actually running in the itouch but it was working flawlessly for me with three different mail accounts until I synced my outlook contacts last evening with the touch. Big mistake I guess?? The error I get on each mail account for outgoing mail, sender address invalid. It's remained the same for weeks, I event re-entered it to be sure but still no mail being sent. Error on receive is connection to the server failes and sometimes password or user name not correct all which is bunk---I owned these accounts and nothing has changed.
Can anyone assist here please. I connect using WiFi, obviously the only connection available on the touch.

I've recently synced my ipod touch(5th gen) and have noticed some problems concerning the music app.Some of the albums do not show an image and when i have tried deleting one of them(to re-download it)it has gone back on to the home page.Can anyone help?

Duplicate songs after sync on itunes

Hello, recently I synchronized my Iphone and itunes said that i have 7 GB of music, but after sync the music capacity bar have rise up to 11 GB. I opened music and i saw that many songs is duplicated... i trying to sync many times but problem is still there... I try to add music manually but it doesnt work... Any ideas to solve this problem?

I just fixed this this morning in the following way:
Settings > General > Usage > Music > Edit > delete all music
Launch iTunes > uncheck off Music Sync
Sync phone
If that doesn't work, try synching a few times and you should see all your music disappear.
Check Music sync again and re-sync your phone.
(I also turned my phone off after I first removed the music, just in case. Not sure if that does anything, but you never know)
