"No music" displays on nano even though music shows syncd in iTunes library
Have used this Nano with no problem for a couple of years. Out of the blue, the Nano now displays "No Music" when I select "Music" (or Playlists, etc.) even though when I open it in iTunes, my iTunes library shows it to be fully stocked/sync'd with the music expected. I restored the Nano to its factory settings to start over, added some songs from my iTunes library, but same issue. "No Music" when trying to use the Nano. Any help would be appreciated!
Perhaps it would be worth it to do a low level reformat of the iPod's flash storage using the instructions in this Apple support document.

iTunes shows quite a few songs that it can't locate. Some were songs that were purchased, others are from my CDs... not the entire album, just some of the songs. The songs still show up on my iPhone from previous syncs. Also, I purchased some that I've put in a playlist and it plays fine on my computer, though it won't sync to my phone. The others that I've purchased in the same manner do, just not that one. I've tried adding it elsewhere, I have deleted it and re-downloaded it... yet it still won't show up on my phone when I attempt to sync it. This has all occured since I've updated it to iOS 7. Any advice to remedy this is greatly appreciated.

Why can't I download my already purchased music and other files from iCloud, even though I owe money to iTunes for my most recent purchases. Doesn't seem right that they keep me from accessing those files which I've already paid for!
- Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck

I created a new library so I can use it for just my music, but now my ipod will only sync to my old library and not the new one I created, even though I'm in the new library when I open itunes. Any solutions?
The point is that there are four i product users for one computer in my house, and not everyone wants the same music on their device. Like I said before, the ipod is not syncing to the new library even though I plug it in when the new itunes library is pulled up. It keeps syncing to the old library...

I have an app called ipieta which was originally downloaded onto an ipod. I gave the ipod to someone else, but now that I've had the iphone I can not get the audio even though it is downloaded into itunes music like it said to do. It won't work. I've tried more than several times to get help but nothing helps. Do I need to deauthorize the ipod or perhaps erase all the downloaded ipieta stuff and start over?

I recently bought some songs from itunes, and I tried to sync my mac air laptop to my nano ipod, but it didn't work. I usually use my PC computer to do this, and my music is in the itunes library on my mac, it just won't sync to my ipod. When I tried to sync my ipod to my PC to see if the computer was the problem, my recently purchased songs still didn't show up. Any ideas as to what to do? Thanks!

The problem occurred whenever I imported an older legacy project. Even
though it was set to display waveform, it wouldn't do it until after I
closed and reopened the project file.

My ipod stills pauses when the display turns off, even though, my headphones are correctly attached (or flushed)
Does this happen still when you use another set of headphones? Have you check to make sure the headphone jack is clean and clear of debris? If so, the jack may be faulty or damaged meaning you'll need to take or send your iPod in for service/repair.

Not all my songs are showing in itunes even though they are in the itunes Media Dir. I have spent hours trying to find out why so I moved the songs out of the Music/itunes/itunes media and uninstalled itunes. I then restarted my pc and re-installed itunes. When I opened itunes the same songs are still there (but cannot be played as cannot find location) even though I have not put anything back in the itunes media dir. To me there seems to be a refreshing problem as itunes is not looking at the directory even through the advanced preferences area is mapped to the correct area.
Help please.
ThanksApple's official advice on duplicates is here: Find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership, or that sometimes the same file can be represented by multiple entries in the library and that deleting one and recycling the file will break the other.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.

I have a similar issue. My Dell Latitude is running Windows Pro 8.1 and iTunes 11.1.3.8. It looks like it's playing, but it isn't.
Things seemed to work fine before the 8.1 update. I fear I will have to rollback to 8.0 because the sound no longer works on the computer unless you use the headphone jack.
Podcasts and music behave the same way, they appear to be playing, but the timer is not progressing for them either.

Nothing, but I would back up all that music to an external drive first.
