No network boot-- lot of problem even with generation 2

I have hyperv 2012 hypervisor and i have created some vms on it. I need one of my win7 vm to boot over network. It is created with generation 1. As generation 1 has some problem to boot vms over network, i thought of creating a generation 2 vm. I have downloaded
valid win8 evaluation edition iso from microsoft site. That iso is working fine for me, but when I use the same iso for my vm, it stucks at 22%. i tried almost 40-50 times. Everytime it stucks at 22% only. I am also sure that I have put it in generation 2.
I also thought to create a vm with generation 1 and convert it to generation 2 (OS is win 8). But unfortunately, when i use generation 1, vm stops at 10%. getting files ready for installation (10%). In none of the generations, with none of my ISO files, it
crossed 23%. Am I missing something? Please guide.

Base on my experience, your issue typically caused by the disk space have not enough free space, please select which partition have the enough disk space.

Why does my MacBook Pro still have disk problems even with replacement disks?

I have a 2008-era MacBook Pro. In January it failed to boot. I took it to Apple and paid for a replacement system board. When it came back they told me the hard drive was also bad and they had replaced it.
About a month later my performance became very bad. A test of the hard disk revealed unrecoverable errors. I reformatted the disk and restored from Time Machine. About a month later, the same problem surfaced. This time I took it back to Apple and they put in a replacement hard drive.
Now here I am about a month after that and the hard drive has asked to be reformatted twice again.
What is REALLY wrong and how do I get it fixed?

How does the disk test which checks the drive have to do with corrupted data?
Let me clarify:
1. System gets slow.
2. I run the Disk Utility > Verify disk.
3. It reports data corruption errors and and says to run Disk Utility > Repair Disk
4. I run Disk Utility > Repair Disk
5. It says errors are such I need to run it from the Utilty partition
6. I restart from the Utility partition and run Repair Disk
7. It reports it can't fix the problem. Tells me to erase the disk and restore.
8. I do all that.
9. Now I run Verify Disk again. All is well, and all continues to be ok for several weeks.
So, if the Time Machine backup was corrupt, step 9 above would fail.
Since this is the third hard disk since January, I doubt that the problem is REALLY the disk.

IPad bluescreen problem even with iOS 8.0.2

My iPad goes to bluescreen for a second and restarts. This happens randomly twice or thrice a day since my iOS 8 updation even it continues in 8.0.2. I Guess this is due to death bug !! So kindly fix it up at next update release atleast.

I have the same thing happening with my ipad air... I can't even get it to turn on anymore. It flashes to the blue screen, then crashes off completely. Then it restarts itself with the apple screen, then crashes, apple screen crash... it's terrible. Everything was fine and dandy until the iOS 8 update though. I just hope that they get a new update out soon!!!!

Miix 3-1030 no usb boot at all, not even with an otg cable

hi lenvovo i'm liking my new miix 3-1030 tablet i purchesed recently but have found the bios to be frankly useless.the tablet has no usb booting at all, nothing shows up in the boot menu except windows boot mangager.i've tried the following; usb hdd'susb sticksotg cableusb dvdrw none show up for booting, this is annoying as i use virtual machines and boot other os's from eithe live cds or usb devices. any chance of a bios update that enables usb booting? i don't want any other options, just the simple ability to boot other devices.

Euro and Poundsterling symbol problem even with WE8ISO8859P15

Dear all,
We are using the Primavera Enterprise (project management software) run on Oracle 8.1.7.0.0, the euro and pounds symbol is not displayed correctly (# and Â¤ instead).
Our configuration is :
AIX 4.3.3.0
NLS_LANG= WE8ISO8859P1 (configured in .profile for oracle user account)
Originally the database was created with the NLS_CHARACTERSET WE8ISO8859P1, as we discovered that this nls does not support euro, what we have done then :
- export it (.dmp WE8ISO8859P1)
- create a new database instance with WE8ISO8859P15 (hosted in the above AIX server)
- import the .dmp above to a new created database
- the log file generated saying that :
1. import done using WE8ISO8859P1 and WE8ISO8859P15
2. the server characterset is WE8ISO8859P15, character conversion possible
3. imported from export file with the WE8ISO8859P1
- we queried the database with 'select * from sys.props$ whre name like 'NLS%'; and we are sure that the database nls_characterset is WE8ISO8859P15
- we then update the euro and symbol from Primavera application
- we close the Primavera application and try to reopen it
- the euro and pounds symbol are back to as before (ie. # and Â¤)
Note : as the above server is a production server, we can not modify the NLS_LANG of the machine to WE8ISO8859P15

Barry & all, sorry to mention the client/server architecture with Primavera Enterprise.
The primavera application is installed in windows 2000/xp
- we tried several NLS in windows regedit of Oracle home e.g. NLS_LANG=FRENCH_FRANCE.WE8MSWIN1252 and NLS_LANG=FRENCH_FRANCE.WE8ISO8859P15)
- once we imported the database, we updated the euro and symbol from Primavera application, the symbol euro is displayed correctly in the application
- we close the Primavera application and try to reopen it
- the euro and pounds symbol are back to as before (ie. # and ¤)
- the same thing when we query the database directly, it shows the same signs (ie. # and ¤)

Oracle sql developer ....Debugging problem even with the proper rights

Hi all,sorry for raising this question in this forum.I dont see SQL Developer forum anywhere.
I am trying to debug my pl-sql procedure but unable to do it.I have been given all the debugging rights by the DBA (that is what he tells me ).
I do get the bug icon ,and I do click a break point ,but after clicking the bug button

Since I upgraded to iOS 6, the iapd daemon crashes a lot causing problems communicating with my Emprum Ultimate GPS device. Am I the only one having this problem?

In the crash logs, the version number of the iapd daemon is listed as ???(???). This doesn't look right to me. I can post a crash log if anyone thinks it could help.

Unfortunately I don't have a solution, but I am having similar trouble. On all my 3rd party GPS apps the GPS signal is very weak or not available. Motion-X GPS, GPS Drive, Waze, Harry's Lap Timer.
The Apple Maps app seems to work however I can't tell if it's using GPS or cell tower triangulation. Maps seems to be slow to recognize my position or motion. In the Maps app the purple arrow appears in the top bar, I'm all other 3rd party app the arrow is grey. Does that mean anything?
I've deleted and reinstalled apps, reset phone, no help.
I'm using a 4s, 5.0.1

TC takes longer to re-boot; reports a problem; then fixes itself?

I had a lot of problems yesterday with my TC. I lost my internet connection and spent 4 hours working on resetting it and the cable modem so they would communicate.
During that process, and still today, I am finding a slow internet connection. But, the problem I'm writing about here is that when I re-boot the TC it is taking a lot longer than it ever used to in the past. And, once it does boot, the utility pops up that the TC is reporting a problem. When I click continue, it then tells me that the TC is operating as normal.
I did buy this in March 2008 and I see others are having a lot of power problems. Maybe I'm headed down the same path but for now I do have power and an internet connection, albeit a slow one.
Any thoughts?

When I was originally going through this problem I did do a Factory Default Reset as well as a default reset. My connection works but seems to slow at times. What I did this morning was simply a "restart" using the desktop software and it seems to take a very long time, reports a problem, then fixes itself.
I have left the cable modem unplugged as described.
I gave up on trying to restore my static IP address that worked for about a year as everything had a "meltdown" and I don't have time to play around with it more. Maybe a holiday project. But it's odd that it's acting this way now after the Factory Default Reset. I may try that again just to see if it helps this time around.

Problems Pairing with Garmin Nuvi 265W

Bought a new Garmin Nuvi 265W GPS. Set the unit up. It paired immediately with iPhone and worked without issue. Then as a last step in the setup I registered the Nuvi with Garmin. Big mistake. During the registration Garmin wrote something to the Nuvi and toasted the iPhone pairing. Unit goes into an on/off do loop. Resetting and restoring doesn't help. Unpaired the iPhone and deleted it from the Nuvi so at least it's back working. Garmin doesn't know why what they write during the registration process causes the problem and said there is no way to go back. I've got V2.2 on my iPhone. Anybody have a similar problem and know of a work around to get the pairing to work again?

The unit still worked no problem. I can only suspect the issue here is hardware related in some cases. So for some people the upgraded software/firmware may work. But if you are running both iPhone 2.2.1 (1st Gen Phone) and the latest software and Bluetooth firmware and still have the problem I would call Garmin and have them replace the unit.

Problems pairing with Garmin Nuvi 1310 sat nav

I have been trying to connect to a Garmin Nuvi 1310 sat nav. It set up first time, however when I switch off the sat nav and then turn it back on my phone will not connect automatically. I have to remove it from the list on the Garmin and start all over again. Surely this can't be right, my old iPhone re-connected automatically everytime. Is there a setting I need to adjust?

[SOLVED] Booting to SD card (mmcblk0) with Grub2

I have a laptop with win7/Ubuntu on the hard drive; this laptop also has an SDHC slot.
For my own reasons I decided to install Arch on an SD card.
I installed arch according to this very helpful post: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=398679
Since the system already boots with Grub2 from the Ubuntu install I skipped the grub install steps.
My BIOS cannot boot to SD cards (even with the bootable flag set on the mmcblk0p1 partition)
I booted into Ubuntu and ran update-grub, this added the following entry to the Grub2 boot menu: "Arch (on /dev/mmcblk0p1)"
Booting to this gives three errors:
no such device (error lists correct UUID of SD card)
hd2,1 cannot get C/H/S values
you need to load the kernel first
the entry in grub.cfg is:
### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober ###
menuentry "Arch (on /dev/mmcblk0p1)" {
insmod ext2
set root='(hd2,1)'

I have got the system to boot the way I want and will try to detail it for others
1) Make a kernel that can boot an SDHC card
I found this list of needed kernel modules for doing this with ubuntu: http://www.linuxformat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11709
First I chroot-ed from ubuntu into my sd card according to: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … ting_Linux
then using the wiki as my guide: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mkinitcpio
I copied /etc/mkinitcpio.conf to a new file /etc/mkinitcpio-custom.conf
and edited the modules line to look like so
MODULES="mmc_core mmc_block sdhci sdhci-pci"
then ran (still while chroot-ed of course) note that the -k option should match the version that you are using (mine is 2.6.33)
# mkinitcpio -c /etc/mkinitcpio-custom.conf -g /boot/kernel26-custom.img -k 2.6.33-ARCH
exit the chroot back to ubuntu
2) Move the files to the boot partition
I am using ubuntu's partition as the boot since that is where grub2 is installed
First I made a copy and renamed vmlinuz26 to vmlinuz26-custom
and another copy/rename to make System.map26-custom
NOTE: I am not sure if renaming these helps/hurts/or doesnt matter (feed back appreciated)
then I moved those 2 files and kernel26-custom.img to the /boot of the ubuntu /
3) Setup a working grub.cfg
Since it is recommended to not edit grub.cfg directly in Grub2 I just added the following entry to /etc/grub.d/40_custom
menuentry "Arch (on /dev/mmcblk0p1) custom" {
set root='(hd0,5)'
linux /boot/vmlinuz26-custom root=/dev/mmcblk0p1
initrd /boot/kernel26-custom.img
and run this
update-grub
hd0,5 is grub2 notation for my ubuntu partition (where /boot is of course)
This is all I did to get it running that I can remember
Arch's /etc/fstab is:

notice that there is no /boot mount point
I can boot into Arch using the setup I described above with a totally empty /boot on the Arch partition
Should I care that it is not mounted?

Your code is absolutely unreadable - even if someone was willing to

Try to reboot the iPhone, if that doesn't help make a backup via iTunes, and restore the iPhone via iTunes.
Otherwise disable background refresh, and kill all apps

at least that the operator has confirmed to me that he called me. I also have problems with either the start of the mac with the power off. I can not understand if it crashes or is just very very slow.
Finally, I have a problem with the external hard disck. I often said to have been ejected incorrectly (not true) and I start to restore the startup recovery disk because disk utility is ineffective from the normal operating system .. is a shocking thing, but how you reduced. in four years it had never happened. seem to have windows or worse. You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).

hi Ive reset my network toggled the airplane on and off and turned off my carrier off then turned my phone off and turned my carrier back on but still problem persists
