No number range found which is maintained in pr10

Hi All,
I ahve maintained nuber range for travel in PR10 for the respective personnel area....but the employee when trying to put the expeses in PREX....here the error is
"No number range found for 01 RP_REINR ZONC"
I have don the same in sand box and development client but in quality it not appearing....
Plz guide...

Check number range once from SNUM transaction Input object RP_REINR. Then select number ranges and input personnel area.

In adition to task from Shailaja .. Consider this:
Please note that while defining your number ranges, the number must be two Digits i.e ( 01,02,03) , it must NOT be single digit i.e (1,2,3)..
I'd had the same issue, but with the two digits number it has been solved.

Number Range Customizing is not maintained in claim advance request

Hi,
When i try to create a Cliam in ESS, it throws the following error
Number Range Customizing is not maintained.
I have done the Number Ranges setting under Loans Basic Settings -Define Number Range for Reference Number as 10
and Number Range as 00000000000000000001 to 00000099999999999999
Still i am getting the same error
Can any one suggest what could be the issue

I checked in my system, i did not find any Basic Settings under Advanced Cliams. But Basic Settings is available Under Loans
I have done the Number Range config under Laons Basic Settings: Define Number Range for Reference Number

goto tcode HRPBSIN_NMBRNG click up on Change intervals ...........
Then maintan number range screen you will get
over thre select "ADD Intervals" then over thre you need to give the New intervl for number ranges ......
give as "1 99999999999999999999" then select "Insert" and "SAVE"
And check the process again.

Maintain number range interval for master data upload for existing employee

Hi Experts,
1)I have the scenario to upload additional data for existing employees in PA. Employees are already existed in SAP HR , But additional Infotypes are required to maintain for those emploees
2) I have the senario where i have to upload master data for new employees.
Pls give the detailed description of how to maintain number range interval i.e. External or Internal for upload in both the above scenario. Do we have to maintain number range manually in master data record & then upload it Through BDC or LSMW?

Yes Mr. Patil...
For existing employees
you need to execute HIRING ACTION Through BDC with External number range. While recording you have to use atleast three infotype i.e. IT0000,IT0001,IT0002. In addition you can upload other infotype through PA30.
For new employees
While configuration you can create another number range as internal for new hiring. and use NUMKR feature as well.
Here I don't understand that why r u looking for upload process for new hiring, if it is not mass hiring. It should be day to day activities which would be done by user through PA40.

Unable to create number range in AS08

Hello everyone.
We have a strange situation in transaction AS08 when we try to define a new number range:
- we define a new number range which is not part of any other defined number range, confirm the entry and save it
- system says that the changes were saved
- when we exit the AS08 transaction and enter it again, the number range is not there
- we checked NRIV table, the entry is not saved there either
- company code is maintained in AO11
We also tried creating a number range interval which is not a part of any other interval (included in NRIV table), but that didnt help. Also, the problem exists both for internal and external number ranges.
Can anyone give some advice on what should we look up or maybe someone had similar situation and found the way to solve it?

This appears to be a bug.
You need to enter the Number Range and save without pressing Enter.
If you press Enter and then save you will get a message saying that the data was saved but table NRIV will not be updated.

While converting Planned order to Purchase requisition (Manual Run), i need different number range for Purchase requistion for different plant.
I maintained different number ranges in OPPQ, and maintained number range in OMI3, the number range which i ahve maintained as per the plant are seems to be not working.

Number range in CATS

Hi,
We're using CATS to enable employees to post time against projects. We also want to capture the travel expenses in CAT2 transaction (after maintaining infotype 0017 and 0315 in HR master data). When I go to Environment - Travel Expenses, it giving an error message stating that "No number range found for 01 RP_REINR IN01". Any idea where do I need to maintain this number range?

The same can be done in PR10. This functionality fall under FI. Normally FI in consultation with HR set s up the same. Menu path is below.

Use transaction ML10 to create service specification.
Service specification can be also be created in the form of Purchase requisition. The document must contain the set of service specification listing the necessary services in detail. The details of service specifications can be maintained at item detail level wher u can enter description, qty, price and other details. We can summarize both service with master records and without master records in service specifications.
We can have a maximum of 4 hierarchy levels at outline levels.

Cin Number range issue.(capturing Excise Invoice)

I created sales cycle and after i am creating excise invoice thru tcode-j1iin
When i enter excise group and series group and after saving it.. it is showing error message that internal number range for J_1IINTNUM
I have maintained number range for this in tcode-j1i9..
and i assigned this number range to billing typejexexcise invoice.
even though error come.
Help in this issue

CIN only takes No 01, it does not recognises any other no.
Moreover the number range should never be maintained as External Numberr range.
Check the same and let us have the feedback.

Go to SAP customizing implementation guide--> cross application component-> Document management--> control data--
.> Define ducument type.
Select document type for which internal number range has to be assigned and click on Details
nuber range assignment should be '1'
Then select the Internal number range for which your are going to assign say 04/05/06/08 etc
Then come back
Go to SAP customizing implementation guide--> cross application component-> Document management--> control data--> Define number range for document number
here for assinged number maintain required number range.

Simulation document number ranges

Hii,
In EASISI,if i do simulation w/o billing order at that time its pick up current number range wht i assign ,but with same tcode if I do simulation with billing order its pick up different number range,
pls hel p me on this from where its picking other number range for woth billing order in EASISI.

Hi,
The number range selection does not depend on whether it is with a billing order or without a billing order. If you are doing a billing simulation, you always need a billing order. Only in case of budget billing creation / recalculation, SAP internally simulates the billing without a billing order.
If you are deailng with an unmetered customer, you do not need a meter reading. Only after creating MR order by tcode EL01, the billable billing order will be generated. In case of metered customer, you need a meter reading to make the billing order billable.
Now in SAP the simulation document number range for billing are maintained according to document category in the following path:
SPRO-> SAP Utilities ->Contract Billing ->Billing Execution ->Automatic Billing and Simulation-> Define Document Type Category for Simulation Documents
You assign the number range for simulated billing document in the following path:
SPRO-> SAP Utilities ->Contract Billing ->Billing Execution ->Automatic Billing and Simulation-> Define Document Types for Simulation Documents
And you assign the number range for the simulated document types in the following path:
SPRO-> SAP Utilities ->Contract Billing ->Billing Execution ->Automatic Billing and Simulation-> Define Number Ranges for Simulation Documents
Please check according to the document category which are used in your case. It might be the case that you are triggering two types of simulation billing (example: consumption and final billing) for two different customers and due to that that it is using two different number ranges.

Handling Unit number range HU_VEKP

Hi Folks,
I have a requirement related to Handling Unit number ranges. I need to merge two systems ABC & 123, during the migration process I found number range conflict for Handling Unit process. In packaging material type (0002) functionality the number range assignment field is maintained with the option "An external number can be enbtered (No HU functionality)" and the field intervals are empty for ABC system. The other 123 system has configuration like "B number range interval "HU_VEKP" and field intervals are maintained Internal -01, External -01.
If we merge this both systems then there could be a problem in both the instances. So I need give them a solution to avoid the overlap.
One strange thing is for 123 system is generating number ranges from HU_VEKP that is fine and the other system ABC doesn't have number range assignment setting like HU_VEKP instead of that as I mentioned above "An external number can be enbtered (No HU functionality)" but still system generating number ranges for each transactional process.
I would request you to suggest me what are the various ways to generate a HU number during the packing section.

Use Tcode SNRO.
Provide your object type HU_VEKP
Then click on change button, it will take you to No. Range Object: Change screen.
Then click on Number range in menu bar to maintain the number range.

No number range for settlement documents defined in controlling area ACA2.
The settlement document is a document type in its own right, which is used for cancelling settlements and repeating month-end closes.
Procedure
Define a number range for settlement documents. Choose Maintain number ranges for settlement documents.

Try to use the following T.code : SNUM,
1. Group -> Maintain and Group -> Insert
2. Give your number range a description.
3. Specify one interval for the number range. If you use up this range, you can add more intervals.
4. Select one or more of the controlling areas listed in the block "Not assigned".
5. Place the cursor on the number range to which you want to assign the selected controlling areas.
6. Use Assign element group to assign the controlling area(s) to the appropriate number range and save your entries.
Note that all intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted. Note that the appropriate application table is also transported for number range objects used for group maintenance.
And use :OKG6

Is there any OSS notes which tells that number ranges can not be maintained fiscal year wise?

You can achieve the same by using USEREXIT_Number_range in include;RV60AFZZ.
where create new Ztable = ZNR_Billing:
Year / Sales Organization / Distribution chanel(Optional) / NR interval.
eg: 2010 / Z100 / Z1 = ZZ
where Z100 -= Sales Org & Z1 = Dist Channel &
ZZ = Number range Interval (maintain number ranges in SNRO for ZZ- Make sure interval should not be overlap with other number ranges, but i dont think its possible.
eg:
Z1:2009--> 1000 - 9000
at the same time you cant create another number range in SNRO as Z2:1000-9000 ( numbers will overlap)
But i f you dont maintain same numbers in different years, then you can use the above Userexit, but still doesnt have any sense to use Userexit, when you dont maintain same numbers.
