RSZCOMPIC table lists queries built on the cubes.
COMPUID is an ID of the query.
RSZELTDIR table contains description of the reporting elements. DEFTP field equals REP designates queries.
Search for RSZELTDIR-ELTUID = RSZCOMPIC- COMPUID. Field MAPNAME will contain a tech name of the query and TXTLG field its description.

How the system know which are Inventory cubes?while compres in ProcessChain

When I create a Cube compress in ProcessChain ,under the page there is a checkbox called No Maker for Inventory Cube,and I also know the Non-cumulative key figure can not be compress,
My question is how the system know which are Inventory cubes? and many cube create from ourself.Hi,

Cube compression filling up the system logs
Hi,
I reloaded the inventory cube with 2LIS_03_BF (init with data transfer) with 46million records (in a single request). When I try to compress the request without the marker update BX has already been compressed with the marker update) , the system logs are getting filled up and the production system is freezing up.
Is there any solution that makes the compression job take lesser time and generate less logs? At this time, we are not looking in to dropping the data and reloading in smaller chunks, cos that will take another 2days to reload the 46mil records.

We had a similar issue early last yr. Compression uses a lot of temp spaces and fills up the logs . You can ask your basis team to help you by increasing the MAX_LOGS parameter temporarily to complete your compression. As a last resort you can also ask them to involve secondary logs or setting the logs to "unlimited" value and rerun the compression job .However pls note that this is limited by the filesystem size.

System is creating multiple transaction cubes at the backend for one BPCApp
Hi
in one of the planning application, we have done a full optimization 8 times , out of that 5 times it came as error and 3 times it has successful.
Now when we are sending the data through the Input Schedule it's shoiwng success and also the Data Manager package is also shoiwng success with the data showing witing back to the data base.
But when the user is showing the report there is no data.
So when we went to check the back end, we saw 7 transactional cubes with different technical name and 1 transactional cube with a _B sign associated with it, showing as a virtual info provider.
Since the multi provider is not getting changed due to ful optimization we tried to figure out the very recent transactional cube by double clicking on the same and when we try to find the data with respect to data send we couldn't find any data.
What can be the reasons of creating multiple transactional cubes for a BPC planning application. And how to do we know which is the current cube for the respective BPC Planning application after the last Full Optimization.

I need to get it clarifed with the team whether they have aborted in between the Full Optimization process. Becuase i remember in one of the earlier engagement , we have aborted the modify application application and it cretaed multipple cubes at the back and subsequently SAP has suggested to delete the other cubes keeping the correct one.Can you elucidate the relevance of the _B Virtual Info provider from the rationale perspective, why its required them.

If you want to check the records daily instead of checking the data in R/3 manually ......
You can try this...
If you have staging DSO(level 1) that means whatever data is in source system load it to Staging DSO without any routines or any modifications.
Now load this DSO data to Cube or DSO(level 2) as per your requirement with routines etc.
Now Staging DSO contains Source system data.
Now the level 2 Cube or DSO contains BW data with some modifications.
Now create a Multiprovider based on level 1 and level 2 data targets.
Now create a report on which keyfigures you want to test the data.
In Multiprovider there is a field called 0infoprovider in data packet dimension.
you can drag this infoprovider to the columns and restict your keyfigures with level 1 and level 2 data targets.
In the first column you can see the level 1 DSO data ( source system data),in the 2nd column you can see the BW data.
Now create a formula which gives the diffrence b/n level 1 and level2.
that is R/3 data - BW data.
If the diffrence is zero both R/3 and BW data are same.
if the diffrence is not eqaul to zero check whether any routine is there or not. -
To load data from a cube in SCM(APO) system to a cube in BI system.

Think in this way,
To load the data fro any source we need datasource Ok. You can genare Export data source for Cube in APO, then use that datasource for BW extraction, try like this. I think it will work, in my case I'm directly loading data from APO to BW using the DataSource sthat are genaraed on Planning Area.
Why you need to take data from APO cube?. Is there any condition for that?. If it is not mandatory, you can use the dame datasource and load the data to BW, if they have any conditions while loading the data from APO to APO cube, they you try check wherther it is possible in BW or not. If possible then you use DataSource and do the same calculation in BW directly.

I would like to know how to gather the information regarding the Top 20 queries used in the system per week, by a multicube.
Note: I am using BI 7.0 and also Statistics are turned on.
People have provided me the Cube name and table name last time but nothing seems to work.
I do not have the query names and I just have my multiprovider name and with the help of that, I want to find out what are all the queries which were executed related to that multiprovider.

Here is an idea for your request.
Basically you can create a simple query on multiprovider 0TCT_MC01.
Filter: you can use a variable for restriction of time ( calday, or calmonth) since you should be interested for a time period.
Choose following characters into your objects:
InfoProvider ( 0TCTIFPROV ) - you can create a variable for choosing infoprovider before query runs.
*Tp.[Type of BI Application Object] 0TCTBISOTYP = filter this with 'QUERY' or whatever your need is.
*BI Application Object 0TCTBISBOBJ, ( this will give you the name of the queries)
In key figures choose, Count for BI Appl. (0TCTWTCOUNT).
(number for query run)
Create a condition , for top 20.

Hello friends we are not able to see the OLAP Cubes during the creation of universe connection using the Quality system and Application server "sapbmw01" client 100, system # 00. But we are able to set up the connection in our development system.
I will highly appreciate if you can let me know if we need some special role to access the OLAP Cubes during the creation of universe connection using the Q system.
Surprisingly we are using SAP_BW_ALL in Quality system still we are not able to access the infocubes. is there some thing missing in CMS IN BO to make that work.

--> Here 1000 is not correct value, as 1000 is change to 3000. It should be 3000. record should be as below.

--> As this data related to sales, and i hope you are using standard ABR extractors(Business Content).
ABR datasources delivers before and after images.
Before image:
Document Number| Customer | sales value|STOR_NO(ROCANCEL)
1001| RAMLAL | -3000 |C
Before image:
Document Number| Customer | sales value|STOR_NO(ROCANCEL)
1001| RAMLAL | 0 |C --> value changed from 3000 to Zero.
If you are loading in additive or Overwrite into an ODS total sales for 1001 at end of day 4 will be Zero.

Thanks in advanceI don't understand. You need to check the data loads. What for do you want a list of ODS, Cubes and sources systems?
You can use messages from process chains to monitor the data loads.
You can also use an abap program inside teh process chains to save data into a table and then an abap report to see if everything went OK.
But, thinking again, you may be able to use BW statistics to get some of the information you need. Check the help for BW statistics, it might give you an idea of what you can do.

Can we lock down the system for BW object and not bex objects
Hello,
I have a question about object changeability. We want to lock down the BW production system but leave it open for adhoc query. Can we lock down the BW system only for few objects like Cubes, ODS, Infoobjects, Infosets, Multiproviders, and keep the system open for Bex objects like Query, varaibles and also for Infopackges and DTP's.
Which tcode can we use for this ?

Kiran Mehendalehi, usaully production system will be non changeable for all objects.. but as far as SAP BW is concerned we can make certain objects changeable by setting as follows..
in production go to RSA1 - Transport Connection, select Object changeability button from tool bar, here you will find a list of objects which can be made changeable in a closed system.. just click on required objects and set it to Everything Changeable..

Must I open the system to setup number range buffering ?

Number range buffering is disabled for DIM IDs on most of our InfoCubes, but we would like to experiment with turning it on according to the recommendations in this SDN blog :

I have imported a test cube into the production system and would like to test load the same quantity of data that is normally loaded into our production cubes.
But the problem when turning on Number Range Buffering for the test cube is that the production has status 'not modifiable'
Is it necessary to open the production system for modifications each time you want to make a change to the number range buffering settings ?
If so, then this will be difficult because we transport new cubes very frequently in order to separate the data by time period.
Is there a way to change the number range buffering settings via transport, or other customization without opening the production system for modifications ?NRIV is the table that has the number range buffering info it.

According to the doc on one of the linked help pages, you may want to look at Tran SM56. It says it will tell you how often a load had to wait because it had to wait to get the next available number. You might find that you are not waiting in any of your loads, in which case, this effort won't bear any fruit.
Personally, absent a specific set of instructions from SAP that indicate that yes you can transport this stuff and how to do it, I don't think I would pursue it.
Not to be negtive about this idea, but from what I have seen, the nbr range buffer objects don't share the same BID####### across systems. This seems like it would be a very large obstacle to overcome. I think will end up throwing lots of hours down a rat hole trying to do this.
But, who knows, if you get it to work, you ought to blog about it.

Load from cube on one system to same cube on other system
If i have the same cube on two different BW systems, how can i load data from one cube to the other ?
thanksFirst thing is you have to create a export data source. Right click on the cube and choose "Generate Export Datasource" in additional functions of context menu. It will generate a datasource prefixed by 8. like: 8ZTESTCUBE
Then come to another source system where you want to load the data. In rsa1 --> Source system --> choose your source system ---> Replicate --> You will get your data source you generated here.
Now create a transformation, do mapping, activate and create a DTP. Load the data.
