No of records in SAP BI Corresponds to how many records in database

Dear all
If i have 2lakh records in a datasource then how it Corresponds to how many records in database.

For the first time load the datasource , the no of records in the database(source) must be equal to the number of records in the PSA(datasource).
If you are daily deleting the records in the PSA , and doing a delta load then the no of records in PSA must be equal to the no of records in delta queue RSA7 for the corresponding datasource .
If the load is a full load everytime or a full repair ,then the no of records in PSA must be equal to the numbers of records in source.

Steps on how to proceed to create a Query:
ADHOC QUERY
A query can be created to extract information from master records i.e Infotypes. For example, by creating a query , the data relating to an employee contained in various Infotypes can be extracted.
Proceedure :
Decide on the various Infotypes we want to make the query. Decide on the area where we want to query i.e Global area or Standard area. Standard area is client specific and globel area will include all clients.
Menu : HR PM Admn - Information System - Adhoc Query
Select area standard and select the user group already created
Creation of new query :
TC SQ03 - Select Environment Select Standard Area - Enter -- If new user group is to be created, enter name of the user group, click on create and enter necessary information and exit after saving
TC SQ02 - Enter name of the Infoset Create enter name of Infoset - Data source -- > Table join by basis table give name of table e.g pa0000 - Enter - Click on insert table if we want to include more tables give name of table one by one and after finishing, place cursor on the joining lines and right click to delete unwanted relationships - check - and go back - field groups - include all table fields - click on generate button   - go out
TC SQ03 - Select user group -   eg. Payroll
Infoset - Enter name of newly created Infoset
Assign users and Infosets - Assign infosets - put tick on payroll - save and go back
TC PAAH - Expand the nodes and put tick on relevant fields depending upon necessity
Save the query by giving the same name as infoset for easyness..
For executing a query which is already created
1. Go to SQ01 transaction
2. Go to Environment menu->query areas->std areas
3. Then choose the user group where the query is created
4. It will display all the queries created for the group.choose the query you want to executeand click execute.
5. will take to the initial screen
6. Enter the required parameters and execute

Fetch records from Database based on Input value

Hi Experts,
In my mobile application, I have designed one input field with F4 help or input assist. I need to fetch records from database based on that input and need to display records in table.
My question is:
How to fetch the records from database/back end based on the input value and display them as table format as we are doing in SAP ABAP?
Here, I need to fetch the records based on input value available in the UI screen and pass that value to gateway, fetch the records from database and need to bind with table in SAPUI5.
Kindly share the whole process flow with sample code for this requirement. Hope I have explained the requirement in detail.

Try something like this.
In this, I am passing From date, To date, RelGrp, RelStr, Uname as input. Then I am storing those values in variables and passing this data in Odata request.

How do we track how many records INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE per day

We have around 150 tables in database. so many members/persons can access these table and every one can have rights to do INSERT,DELETE,UPDATE the records. I wanted to know How many records are UPDATED,INSERTED,DELETED for a day. is it possible to find out.
I have some questions please clarify the doubts.
1> If we create any table, this table gets store in All_OBJECTS/USER_OBJECTS, tabs/tab/user_tables...... we can find out table name,columns what tables were created in database.
2> if we enter records/ delete records / update records in a table. we can able to find corresponding table. Apart from corresponding table . is there any way to find out records.

Schedule a periodic DBMS_STATS.FLUSH_DATABASE_MONITORING_INFO and query USER_TAB_MODIFICATIONS. This view shows DML activity against each table and is updated when database monitoring info is flushed. The flush is automatic but if you need control over the frequency of updates, you can explicitly call the FLUSH.
In 9i you have to "ALTER TABLE table_name MONITORING ;" before you can use this method.
In 10g, this is enabled by default unless STATISTICS_LEVEL is set to BASIC.

How many records does JDBC adapter can obtain in one polling?

Hello everybody,
I need to do an interface between legacy system and SAP ECC, the legacy systems have a DB so i use the jdbc adapter (sender) and receive the information to SAP ECC with proxy, so i need to activate the polling option from my jdbc adapter working as a sender, i read a table with lot of records, and i need to know how many records does jdbc adapter support when the polling is executed, because is necessary read all records from the table and change the status of the processed field.
Is possible to get all the records from that table in one polling interval (50,000 records aprox)?, or i need to do the polling by blocks of records until finish all records from the table?, the second option, i dont have idea how can i do it.

Just for your understanding am giving a sample code snippet which you can use to read the contents of your Table UI element & save the data on to your database. Suppose you have a button up on pressing which you want to read the data from your screens table & save on to the database then you can proceed as shown below:
1) Obtain the reference of your context node.
2) Fetch all the data present in your table into an internal table using methods of if_wd_context_node
3) Use your normal ABAP logic to update the database table with the data from your internal table
In my example I have a node by name SFLIGHT_NODE and under this I have the desired attributes from SFLIGHT. Am displaying these in an editable table & the user would press up on a push button after making the necessary changes to the tables data. I would then need to obtain the tables information & save on to the database.

However a word of caution here.... SAP doesn't ever recommend directly modifying the database through an SQL query. You would preferably make use of a BAPI for the same. Try go through Thomas Jung's comments in [here|modify the data base table which is comming dynamiclly;.

Generally, you configure your Exchange Servers as DNS clients of your internal DNS server.

How can I set limitations on how many records a report can return

I have a report on the web using Oracle Reports builder and I have the client enter in date parameters for the report that they want.
Well with date ranges for different clients a different number of records are returned. Because of time it can take the report to return I want to limit the number of records that report can return.
How can I go about doing that? I don't want to limit with date parameters because date won't really work for me. I need to limit on how many records can be returned. If it exceeds 10,000 records I want the client to refine the date range of schedule the report to run later. Meaning we will run that report. So I would have two check boxes if the count was over 10,000 do you want to define your date or schedule the job to run later.
Can any one help me with this? How would I go about this?

To know if the report is going to return more than 10,000 records, you first have to run the query with a 'select count(1) from ... where ...' (with the same from and where clauses as you normal query). Since this takes about the same time as runnng your report, I wonder if you really gain anything (although formatting may take some time too).
You may simplify the select count(1) query by omitting all the lookup tables that are only needed for formatting. That way your query may run a lot faster. You can put this in your after parameter form trigger.

How to print all records in database ?

I am developing a small Database System. Which is used to store some information about student and then print that record, which I want to print. I have used JPanel for Printing single record. As like When I insert student id in TextBox. which is unique. then Click on Search button that is use for searching Record from database. After that the information shown in belowing JPanel. Then using one button for printing this record. It is printing only one record that I have searched. Now what is the problem, I want to print All record from database(can be 500 or 5000) without mentioning any student id in textbox.

your problem is neither Swing-related or in any other way java specific.
If you manage to get the data of one student, excellent. Now modify your db-query in the way that the result set returns all students. Loop over the result set and print as usual.
