No. Of reports in page should limit based on selection in dash Prompt???

Hi Everyone,
I have a requirement where i need to create reports based on Survey questions and there are 6 tables and this Survey Questions are repeated in all this 6 tables and assume overall I created 70 reports based on this survey questions. And the Requirement is i need to embed all this 70 reports into single dash page, and in prompt i have to create 6 radio buttons each button will be each table name, how can I achieve this????
Next Question is when we select one radio button the no. of reports should limit on the page and should display reports only related to that table????
Please anyone help me on this and reply me with your valable solution.

Hi,
The links are about creating a dashboard prompt to list down specific report names and while selecting the report names the user wanted to show those corresponding reports within the dashboard.
But my requirement is to limit the reports based on selection of table name. there are 6 tables and assume 10 reports for each table and i want to display on ly 10 reports when the user select table name( Radio button).
Is this requirement is achievable?? or should i have to create in different pages for each table.?
This is in OBIEE 11G

    I have requirement in which there is dashboard prompt which has three columns namely year, month and report name.
    The user will select the report name from the prompt, once done the report that has been selected should show up
    on the dashboard page and he should be able to select data on the basis of month and year from it.
    Also, if the user wants to go to the other report he should be able to select it from the prompt and view it.
    Pls shed some light on how to progress about it. As of now think if something like this is possible then it would definitley
    need two prompts one for report name and the other for month and year.

  • Urgent: Oracle Reports : Blank Page Should print after each Group of record

    Hi all,
    I have a different kind of requirement, in my report I have 1 block and I want to generate a blank page after every group of records. This is because the printer is printing both side of the paper and we are giving multiple group at same time.
    Cannot touch the printer setup since it is a common one. Anybody can help me in this for a fast and simple way ? "Maximum records per page" property for the repeating frame give the next group to a fresh page but there will not be a blank page in between.

    Thank you for your attention.
    Empty frame with page break is not helping me since it will not hide the rest of the items which are outside the repeating frame. Like Report caption, Group Name, Page footer etc...
    If I am using the empty frame, is there any way to hide all other items ?

  • Report should executed based on the radio buttons on the selection screen

    One selection screen block contains input parameters as follows

    Posting Date  -S_ZFBDT
    Ledger Type  -P_RLDNR
    Open Item Key Date -  P_ZFBDT
    Another selection screen block contains 2 radio buttons with the option as follows
    Collection Plan
    *Credit days summary.
    If i click Collection plan the report output should come based on the input parameters in first selection-screen block.
    If i click Credit days summary the report output should come based on the input parameters in first selection-screen block.
    Pls send me the sample code for this.

  • How to create a report  based on selected item from Select list?

    Hi,
    I have created a tables_LOV based on:

    where column_name like '%_type%'
    Then I created a page item ListOfTables,  Display as select list and pointing to tables_LOV.
    I run the page, and i can select the table i want from the drop down list.
    How to create a report  based on the selected item? (ex: select * from selected_table)

    I think that simulates what you're trying to accomplish. I've set up the simplest method I could think of.
    The report is based on an apex collection. If you are not familiar with that, you should study the documentation: APEX_COLLECTION
    To recreate my example you should:
    1) create an (interactive) report on your collection

    2) create a page_item select list for the tables you want to display (in my case this is called "P38_TABLES" )
    3) create a dynamic action that triggers on change of your select list page_item. The dynamic action must be a PL/SQL procedure perfoming the following code:

    You are setting the CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource in multiple sections of code on this page. I'm not quite sure what you are attempting to accomplish here? In my opinion, your ConfigureCrystalReports() should accept a report filename, or something similar. Then use that info to load the report and throw it into Session. Then the last line of ConfigureCrystalReports can set the ReportSource.
    If you can tell us what you are trying to do we might be able to give you some advice. But at this point I'd just say start over on this page.

  • Credit Limit based on Open Items only.

    Dear Friends,
    Is it possible to set credit limit based on Open Items only ( Document Type RV)
    If the credit limit is crossed for accounting documents not yet cleared, then system should allow creating sales order, but block any deliveries further.
    Just to add this, we are using Oldest Open Item, to make sure system blocks deliveries if even one Billing document is overdue for payment.

    AT FD32,
    For respective customers Credit Limit should be made 99999999....(i.e maximum)
    Goto OVA8. Select the respective Credit Control area, Risk category & Customer Group.
    tick-> OpenItems
    Max.Open items 100% and Nodays Open here you can maintain the grace days (after the payment term limit expires) is allowed to do the transaction for respective customer.
    if grace days are '0', then as soon as payment term limit is expires system will block the transactions selected.

  • A/R report u0096 Customer open items based on due date

    Hi all,
    Can anyone tell me if there is a standard report on AR side that gives me invoices due between certain dates, meaning I should be able to select due dates between 11/15/2006 and 11/30/2006 in the selection and the report should get me the customers with invoices that are due between the above dates for a company code.

    Hi Kumar,
    there is no standard report which give you selection citeria to select range of due date. Since due date is calculated based on function module where it calculate Bline date+ terms of payment days.

  • Discoverer Viewer Report with Page Items Slow Performance

    I created a report in Discoverer User that has page items and parameters and runs fine (under 3 minutes) in Discoverer User, but when I try and run it in Discoverer Viewer it takes a long time. It took over 70 minutes before manually terminating it. I made a copy of the report and removed the page items and tried to run it again in Discoverer Viewer and now the report runs in under 3 minutes. Any idea why a report with page items would run in Discoverer user fine, but not discoverer viewer?
    I am using Oracle Business Intelligence Plus 10g (10.1.2.55.26)

    As long as you can access the middle-tier server where Discoverer Viewer is running, you should be able to run and view Discoverer worksheets.
    While it is difficult to even start guessing what the problem might be, if the machine you installed Discoverer on has DHCP addressing, you will run into problems.

    Use presentation values in prompts for year,half,qtr and month.Example- For year-y is presentation variable in the same way for halfyear-h,qtr-q and month-m.
    create four intermediate reports.Example-Report r1 with only year column,r2 with only halfyear column,r3 with qtr column and r4 with month column.
    Make column in each report(r1,r2,r3,r4) is equal to their presentation variables(y,h,q,m).
    Use four sections.
    Section1-Place report that should come when only year.
    section2-Place report that should come for year and halfyear.
    Section3-Place report that should come for year,halfyear and qtr.
    Section4-Place report that should come for year,halfyear,qtr and month.
    Apply guided navigation for each section selecting guided navigation-
    For section1-
    properties->Guided navigation->check this Reference Source Request(Yes)->select report r1(year)->check this Show Section(if request returns row)
    In the same way do for remaining section2(select r2),section3(select r3) and section4(select r4)

  • Update report based on selected LOV value

    I've searched the forum but could not find the answer how to implement the following:
    I have a form with a popup LOV, element P203_LOCATION_ID, which is populated from a query. When the user picks a value from it, a report in the same page should be refreshed. The report has query "select * from distances where d < 1 AND l = :P203_LOCATION_ID " .
    I created a dynamic action which would refresh the report on change of P203_LOCATION_ID , but the report does not change.
    After looking here, I made a hidden variable P203_SEL_LOCATION which is populated by dynamic action on change, with javascript $v('P203_LOCATION_ID') , and then a second rule in the dynamic action should refresh the report. The query in the report is changed to use :P203_SEL_LOCATION as a parameter.
    Although, when made display-only, P203_SEL_LOCATION does change (and console.log shows the selected ID), the report does not see that change and remains empty. I tried both IR and classic report, same result.
    Any help would be appreciated, how to make change in Items visible to the report?

    Hi Mila,
    I assume that you have checked that the report refresh process is happening and that by "empty" you meant that the report was not fetching any records whereas it should have for the value you see in the page.
    It could be because the changed values is not is not yet set in the session for the report to see(report fetches the bind value of the item P203_SEL_LOCATION from the session).
    You will need to add the item's value to the session before firing the report refresh.
    One way to do that would be to add a PLSQL process as true action with the sequence order lesser than the refresh.
    In the items to submit_ , give P203_SEL_LOCATION
    And the process needn't do anything(what we wanted was the P203_SEL_LOCATION be set, which would be done before executing this PLSQL)

  • Form on a Table with Report, 2 Pages

    I have a view and i am using this to create a page as follows for insert/update/delete .
    (1) create application from scratch
    (2) on page 1 using wizard choice "Form on a Table with Report, 2 Pages"
    (3) Follows the screens and create the 2 page where first page is a report and when i click on edit(in my case) it goes to next page for insert/update/delete.Everything like insert/update/delete works fine .
    Now this view has say three columns
    (1) element_type_id
    (2) element_name
    (3) yesnoflag
    changing element_name and yesnoflag column is ok but then i need to have element_type_id corresponding to the element_name from some other table.
    Question1
    How should i get the element_type_id corresponding to the element_name .so when i create a new record it goes to page 2 and i can provide LOV for element_name and enter into yesnoflag, how can i get the element_type_id populated corresponding to the element_name entered.
    Question2
    Also in my application i have name element_type_id as primary key .I am not sure if thats a good idea or should i make element_name as primary key ?

    hey rui--
    by "adjust your html", i simply meant that you should look at your page, think about the html that's being used, and adjust it as necessary to make your data wrap as desired. now that i'm pretty sure i understand your issue, i can tell you the adjustment. you're saying that your form shows your long column "correctly" with data broken up onto separate lines by carriage returns or linefeeds. when you display that same data in your report, those carriage returns ( chr(13) ) and/or linefeeds ( chr(10) ) aren't observed. that's because they don't mean much in regular html. two ways to approach this would be:
    a) replace your carriage returns with explicit <br> tags to get the breaks that you want...
    select test_id, replace(test_description,chr(13)) test_desc from my_table;
    b) wrap your column with <pre> tags to preserve all the original formatting of your data...
    select test_id, '<pre>'||test_description||'</pre>' test_desc from my_table;
    ...and you could, of course, do option B in your report row template if you'd like.

        I feel you can achieve this by using OBIEE11g Conditions. You can show the quaterly or yearly report based on the Rowcount fetched on the conditional analyis created. Please see if this helps
