No ondemand

I have contacted customer service 5 times today to be hung up on 4 of those times. I pay stupid money to comcast to not have this work. We had an outage about 3 days ago and now on demand doesn't work the person I actually got to speak to reset the box sent a refresh I have power cycled the box I need this fixed.

I fixed this problem. It was pretty easy.
First, in the address bar, type in " about:config " .
When it asks if you are sure about making changes & it may void the warranty, click "yes--I promise I'll be careful" or something along those lines. (I heard there is no warranty, & it's just a joke)
Once you get to the new screen, find " browser.link.open_newwindow "
You will see the # 3 on the same line. Change that value to 1.

Invoking Siebel CRM OnDemand Web Service via BPEL

I'm trying to invoke a Siebel CRM OnDemand Web Service via BPEL. Basically, the Siebel guide says to post to a url with user/pwd to get a session ID returned from a cookie. I did that using embedded java and have the session ID as a variable in my BPEL process. My problem is with now calling the Web Service to perform the action. I have a WSDL from Siebel, but the guide says to use an HTTP post with the session ID in the url and the XML in the body. How do I do that? Shouldn't the WSDL handle that when I create the Partner Link? Do I need to use more embedded Java for this or can I set up a Partner Link? I created a Partner Link and it shows the methods I want to use, but I get the following error when I try to call it because I don't know where to add the session ID:

The Siebel OnDemand web services can accept the siebel session token in the URL. Append ';jessionid={%sessionIdFromCookie%}' to the end point. Obviously this has to be done dynamically. Refer to the article called 'Making BPEL Processes Dynamic' (http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/bpel_cookbook/carey.html) pay particular attention to the 'Eliminating address dependency at run time' section.

UPK 3.6.1 Gkn.OnDemand.Library.OfflineException - Possible solution

Apology if this has been posted already, but I search Oracle articles/forums/support and various websites and couldn't find any solution until I just happen to stumble upon it by chance.
I thought I'd try and share this solution in case someone else is having the same issue as me which took a couple of weeks to work out.
A few weeks ago I got a request to setup Oracle UPK environment. Things went smoothly until it tries to populate the library.

The closest solution I could fine is:

Which says to give full control access to everyone across the entire disk.
Well it didn't help my issue. After searching various websites, it appears quite a number of people were experiencing the same issue, but no solution were posted or documented.
Tested IIS and it showed it was working OK. Can see default page with big flashy IIS7 logo. Made sure oracle database and connections are ok.
One guy from another forum said he had to resort back to installing it on Windows 2003 32 bit.
Well I gave that a try, and still experiencing the same issue.
For a full week I couldn't work out what's going on, until I tested IIS on the Windows 2003.
The localhost default page was displaying access denied. Squid (Proxy server) was complaining about security issue.
Then it hit me. This is an issue relating to the proxy server.
My company have serveral proxy servers, therefore the server I was setting up UPK on, its Internet browser proxy setting was set to autodetect.
After ensuring no proxy has been set and the autodetect option is not selected, UPK server installation ran without an issue.
So if you have a similar issue as me give it a try.
Sorry the post is quite long, but I wanted to give a good details on what the issue was and what worked for me.
Hopefully I could save time or frustration for someone.

A Suggestion for a Better OnDemand Menu

After a week of using the OnDemand I am for one, thrilled with it. However there is something that I would like to see on the menus...
When you stop watching a programme (pressing Stop then selecting Done), it would be so much better if the previous menu i.e. programme list, came back on, rather than going right back to the start! This is so frustrating to have to keep going through all the menus again just to play the next episode of a series.
There are a couple more little 'niggles' which I will just put down to me being a perfectionist. But this one above really needs to be sorted.

Migrating Crystal reports to Bi Ondemand reports

Can any one guide me in detail in handling the below requirement
The idea is to convert reports from Crystal report
(using SQL Server as a data source) to SAP BI OnDemand report
(using Salesforce objects as a data source).
There is another project that is taking care of migrating the data from SQL Server to Salesforce
(along with other functionalities).

bi.ondemand.com uses Crystal Reports - it does not have its own type of reports.
So if you already have rpt files that use sql server, it should just be a matter of changing the datasource to use salesforce.com using the database expert inside the crytal reports designer.
Changing from sql server to salesforce.com is likely quite a large change though so I am not sure the database expert will be able to help you. You may need to re-write the reports.

You can add a button using custom javascript. but this could potentially have performance issues. please test the performance and functionality if you implement a lot javascript

How do I close content loaded in IE from Cornerstone OnDemand?

My organization has recently transitioned into the Cornerstone OnDemand system and I've found that when you launch a Captivate training within IE, the close button doesn't work and neither does any button set to the Exit action. If you launch the training in FireFox or Chrome then the close button works correctly, it's just IE that has the problem. (Although in Chrome the exit button doens't activate right away.) I've found that this js code works for FireFox and Chrome when modifying the DoCPExit() coding in the Utilties.js file due to the change Adobe made in CP6.

The attached images show the HTML code that's running the content when it's loaded in FireFox, which is the top image, and IE, which is the lower image. (Sorry for the tall IE grab as the code view had the extra div after the id="CaptivateContent" div.
The solution at the moment is to disable the Captivate close button so it doesn't show in the nav bar.

Instead of that you can use a button on last slide of your project to close the project window
Insert 3 buttons or smart shape used as buttons (as Finish course buttons).
On the first button apply an action to execute javascript and in the script window, use this script: parent.close()
On the second button apply an action to execute javascript and in the script window, use this script: top.window.close()
On the third button, execute a standard action and assign "cpCmndExit" (system variable) with 1.
Then publish the course and upload it to your LMS and check whether any one of these work for you?
Then in the final project you can use that button which works in previous step

Certain ondemand channels via Vision box using up ...

His anyone else experienced this possible flaw with the ondemand service on the BT Vision system.
I have found that programs watched via iplayer and any channel4 related content seem to deduct usage from my monthly broadband allowance.
I have only really noticed it this month as I haven't bothered with the iplayer until his month as it's not very good on the Vision box and I've not watched that much from the rewind service or 4ondemand until now. The 8 episodes of Fresh Meat seem to have affected the usage. This weekend I watched several and my normal daily usage jumped by at least 0.5G for a single day which is alarming.
At the moment my usage appears to be around 2.5G more than normal after watching 12 programs on the above mentioned channels.
Could someone from the Vision Team look into this as BT's normal customer services don't understand and are not very helpful.

I carried out an experiment to see what was happening and for January as my usage was over 13G. During February I didn't watch anything on Iplayer or via 4ondemand (via vision box) and guess what my usage was back down to the normal 7G. Again this month very limited watching of anything on Iplayer and usage around 6G.
Another thing which was noticed was that when running a BT speedtest back in January the additional QOS test was not available and therefore it appears again that my Vision service was not correctly set-up. Since then I contacted the support team and now the QOS test is back and my broadband usage is back to normal.
Therefore it does appear that something had gone astray with the way usage allowance was being recorded. However BT say this isn't possible.

As i'm new to integration, can anyone help me to use java integrate with ondemand that inserts some records in ondemand and deletes some records from ondemand in secheduled interval basis.?

how to use Java WebStart with EJB ? examples ?Well, for starters these are complementing, not 'cooperating', technologies. I presume, since EJB's do not - directly, at least - communicate with a web browser, that you intend for "Java WebStart" to somehow invoke an EJB?? Java WebStart is a technology for running client-side (Java) applications from the web browser - perceptively, the application resides on the server, but technically it, like an applet, is downloaded to the client and run there. Unlike an applet, however, it is not constrained by "sandbox" restrictions and does not have to be re-downloaded each time it is invoked - though the process allows for automagically updating the client-side with new versions of the application. ;) So, with this in mind, to "use Java WebStart with EJB" means little more than deploying an EJB client application with Java WebStart as the distribution channel.

OnDemand after Source Clocked give "internal error status -88700"

Hi,
I am using Analog Input and Counter Input simultaneously with a shared internal clock source on the NI PCIe-6363
I'm running on WinXP, with NIDAQmx Driver 9.1.1f0
I start off by doing some OnDemand acquisitions and it all works.
Then I configure the task for Sample Clocked acquisitions and everything works.
Then I try to configure the task back to OnDemand using DAQmxSetSampTimingType, but when I start the task I get "DAQmx Error: An internal error occurred. Status Code : -88700"
If I ignore the error and try to acquire samples, I get a blue screen of death and the PC reboots.

I tried unreserving the task, and setting the sampling timing type back to on demand, with input buffer size to 0 (also tried 1, and 1000, neither worked). I noticed that going to sample clocked mode changed various properties. I tried manually setting the data transfer mechanism back to programmed io, and disabling CI memory mapping but that did not help. Additionally I tried setting the sampling mode to finite, and number of samples per channel to 1 but that didn't help either. I also tried setting the sample clock source back to blank, but that didn't help. I am not sure if there's something else I am missing. I tried reading all the properties I thought might be getting changed by sample clocked mode, and re-applying them - but that didn't work either.
Please find attached a simplified peice of code (adapted from the NIDAQmx ANSI C Example program: ContAcq-IntClk-EveryNSamplesEvent.c) to reproduce the issue.

Change detection does two things:
Reads digital input channels when a change occurs on a set of digital input lines.
Optionally provides a (non-periodic) trigger or clock for another task, such as digital output, analog input, analog output, or counters.
This secondary functionality is only useful when you want to detect changes on multiple input lines and treat them as if they are the same, or if you want the input lines to be sensitive to both rising and falling edges. Since you only want your digital output task to look at rising edges on a single line, you can use a PFI line instead of using change detection. The cDAQ-9172 supports PFI lines in slots 5 and 6, so move the NI 9421 to slot 5 or 6.

Okay, that partially explains what you're trying to do. How many samples do you want to output when the button is pressed?
If you want each button press to output one sample, then run "Write Dig Chan-Ext Clk.vi" with "Physical Channels" set to "cDAQ1Mod1/port0/line0:7" and "Clock Source" set to "/cDAQ1Mod5/PFI0" (with the NI 9421 in slot 5). Every time you press the button, the output will change once, assuming that the button is debounced.
If you want each button press to output a waveform containing many samples, then ideally you would be able to run "Write Dig Chan-Int Clk-Dig Start.vi", but this uses DIO triggering functionality that isn't supported by the cDAQ-9172. To emulate this functionality on the cDAQ-9172, you would need a combination of "Gen Dig Pulse-Finite-Dig Start.vi" and "Write Dig Chan-Ext Clk.vi". Start the DO task first because it will wait for the sample clock.
If the button is not debounced, you may also want to enable digital filtering on PFI0 (or build a debounce circuit). I don't know of a good example showing how to do this. Maybe someone else has an example to recommend?

OnDemand not working on 4/5 of my boxes for past 2 weeks- NOT HAPPY

Frustrated does not even touch what I am at the moment!! For over 2 weeks, I've called at least 20x regarding the exact same issue. My OnDemand on 4 out of 5 boxes does not work (just gives error codes). The main DVR box works just fine with OnDemand, just not the ones in the other rooms. The first week of daily calling to numerous CSR's yielded zero results from sending signals to the boxes, troubleshooting, etc. I would either be told that the service was down or that they couldn't tell what the problem was. I was hung up on 4x last Wednesday, which made matters worse (yes, they answered and would then hang up). Finally. was transferred to another department (IT, maybe?) that could better help me and further troubleshoot. The lady that assisted me truly seemed eager to find the solution. She told me that it looked like my signal seemed to be weak and that she couldn't resolve the issue either, so she sent a ticket for someone to come to my house. (I still don't understand how/why my signal could over night become weak, though). She confirmed that someone was coming on Mon 6/29. Service guy comes Monday and is here for over 2 hours checking everything out. He states that everything is connected fine and he is stumped. Says it's a "weird" situation being that I do have one box where OnDemand works fine. He stated he would have to send a ticket to an engineer and contact corporate for further help on the matter and that the issue would either be resolved or we would hear back from someone within 24-48 hours. It's been 54 hours; it is still not working and no one has called. I called back this evening to check on the status and there's no notes/open tickets/etc. on my account from the guy that came on Monday and therefore I'm back at square one....again. I was told that I would have to schedule ANOTHER person to come back to my house and go back through the process. I WORK and am doing my job!!! This is costing me money and time, in numerous ways, and still isn't fixed. This is extremely unacceptable. I feel like no one is really helping and I'm just running in circles while everyone is passing the buck on what is "really wrong". I've been with Comcast for almost 15 years, pay hundreds of dollars a month on numerous services, and I'm tired..... I have not, and will not, be paying my bill (that was due yesterday) until the matter is resolved. I tried to contact billing, per advice to the last person I spoke with today, but was unable to reach anyone. It seems the system is down. If someone is able to call me, that would be fabulous.

Need Help with Inappropriate Commercials Playing While Watching OnDemand

My kids and I were watching The Goldbergs TV show via OnDemand and inappropriate commercials have played for the last two times we sat to watch the show. I have a 7 year old girl and last week commercials for the Ouija horror movie played. I can't fast forward the commercial. This week commercials from an ABC show about murder came on.
I'm angry and frustrated that I am spending $200 a month for my Verizon services and can't fast forward through these commercials which should NOT be playing during a family friendly show.
I'm trying to find a way to send an email to the Verizon support team to complain. My question is two fold: Can someone help me find out how to send an email complaint to Verizon and is there any way I can fix this issue?

Verizon has no control over this (just like the ones that show during regular programming).
My suggestion would be to post on ABC social media that you are not pleased with their choice of commercials.
And they are also the one that sets the rules that you can't FF.

How to pass more than 10 parameters to OnDemand process?

If have created some application items to use as parameters.
When I do in my javascript

and I use this parameter in onDemand process as :F_PAR_REPORT , I get

I'd recommend that you try the following, as this is how I work around the problem:
Put your items and values into two delimited strings (use javascript arrays and the join function to simplify the process) and set g_x01 for the items and g_x02 for the values, ensuring each named item has a value and vice versa. On thr processing side use the apex_util.string_to_table function and process them, i.e. set session state etc.

Ondemand Script is failing in oracle documaker 12.2

We just upgraded from oracle documaker 11.3 to 12.2. When we try to generate AFP file, ondemand script is failing in 12.2. It is failing in Gen print.

This appears to be telling you that there is a DAL script error. There's probably some syntax error not previously detected in the script that is now being reported. The script execution is not able to tell whether LOADONDEMAND is really the name of a script or a routine found within a script library, but that is where the error is located.
Perhaps you can bring that script up in DMStudio and do a syntax check from the menu/ribbon. That might help you recognize what needs to be corrected.
Line 10, column 642 would mean that it is a really long line! Might mean there is just a paren out of place or not enough to satisfy the syntax.
