No option to change "Incoming server authentication method" to None on iPhone 6?

I just upgraded to an iPhone 6 and did a restore from my 5...... Problem is my pop e-mail account won't connect.... It still connects on both my iPad and iPhone 5, both of which are iOS 8. The only setting that differs between the two that work and my new iPhone is under the "Incoming server authentication method" setting. On the working devices, nothing has a check mark. On the new iPhone, "Password" is checked, and I can't find a way to uncheck it (there is no "none" option).
Surely I should be able to work around this?

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help troubleshoot email issues. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
"Username or password is incorrect" with POP3 account
Before you check your email on your iOS device, close any other email programs and close any webmail sites you may have open on another computer.
To see if your account is a POP3 account, use the Mail Settings Lookup tool or follow these steps:
Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and tap the account.
Look for the label POP ACCOUNT INFORMATION.
If your email provider offers IMAP, remove the POP3 account, then add the account with your provider's IMAP settings. POP3 communicates with one mail client at a time. If more than one mail client tries to connect, you might see a username or password error.

Assuming that you want help and that you aren't just copying-and-pasting that thread's title and posting a link to it, then have you tried the steps on the post that I linked to in my first reply on that thread ?
If you don't get the 'none' option when trying those instructions then you will need to enter credit card details before you will be able to use the account - when you've entered credit card details you should get the 'none' option and be able to remove your card details.

As I understand you have a restriction on your PayPal account, unfortunately this is something Skype can't help you with.
But you can try alternative payment methods: www.skype.com/intl/en-us/prices/ways-to-pay/
Another option is to let your friend set up Skype Manager account, purchase credit there and allocate it to you: https://support.skype.com/en-us/faq/FA10519/What-is-Skype-Manager-and-how-does-it-work

Also, if you are talking about when you first set it up, there is a brief time during your set up of a new mail account when there is going to be a check if your account is valid (it's right after you put in your Name, Email Address), it seems like it is setting it up for you, but it is not. By default it will show the IMAP button settings, but all you need to do is hit the POP button right next to the IMAP button and then continue on with your settings, both pop and smtp account settings...pop server address...etc. It can look like the iPhone is trying to actually set things up for you but it's not. Hope this helps.

My Dad's iMac is a "white box" to him - he has no idea what's going on inside it. When it works, he's fine, when it doesn't he calls me. His email stopped sending a couple of days ago, and the error message indicates that "the server didn't support CMD-RM5 authentication" (or something like it). So I walked him through going into the account settings and setting the SMTP server authentication method back to "none" and everything works fine again. But he's adamant he's never been through those dialogues before - and believe me, I think he's right - he'd never think to mess with that stuff. So, how did it get changed? Is there any other shortcut or application that might change the SMTP authentication setting that he could somehow have triggered? Corrupt plist file?

SQL Server 2012 (Server Authentication), Is it possible to add Server Authentication after a Windows Authentication installation

I installed SQL Server 2012 to use Windows Authentication. An the tool I'm using to replicated data to the SQL Server 2012 database wants to use the (Server Authentication) mode. Is it possible to add a Server Authentication useID and Password?
Please let me know your thoughts.

You can change SQL Server Authentication by right clicking on the server instance and @Server Properties, Choose SQL Server and Windows Authentication Mode as shown in the image below
You have to restart the SQL Server for this to come into effect.
After this you are good to go for creating SQL Logins and using them.

How to change Item mang method to 'None' from Serial No. On release only .

I need help in changing the Item management method to "NONE". I hv created the item as Manage by Serial No. On Relase only. I hv aslo entered the Opening balance of 6000 pcs. But now i want to change the mange item to NONE. But when i try 'Goods Issue' its asking serial no for 6000 pcs. Please help

I have the reversed situation.
We started with SBO 2004 A PL37. We migrated the inventory from legacy system which doesn't support Batch / Serial No.
For those Items that we need Batch / Serial Numbers tracking, we set them accordingly in Item Master.
So, now we have Items On Hand which was migrated into the system as not tracked by Batch / Serial Number. So, when we wanted to deliver the Items, we could not enter the Serial / Batch Numbers.
What we did was to set Manage Item By to None, did a Goods Issue, Set Manage Item by to Batch or Serial and then do a Goods Received. We were able to change the Manage Item By in SBO 2004 PL37.
We have upgraded to SBO 2005 A SP1 PL43. We noticed we could no longer change the Manage Item By. As such, we could not add Serial Numbers to the On Hand items. We also could not transfer it out first (Manage Item By = 'None') and receive it back.
What can we do? Do we change the Manage Item By at the table level? That is not adviseable. We still have many such items.

This worked for me today, as I had the same issue.
I had to set encryption to TLS to get it to work, and the server names as yahoo.co.uk...
In Outlook 2013, click File | Add Account.
Select Manual setup or additional server types.
Click Next.
Select POP.
Click Next.
On the “Account Settings” page, enter your account settings:
Your Name: The name you want to show when you send email.
Email address: Your full Yahoo email address.
Account Type: POP3
Incoming Mail Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
User Name: Your Yahoo ID.
Password: Your Yahoo account password.
Leave the “Require logon using Secure Password Authentication” option unchecked.
Click More Settings.
Click the Outgoing Server tab.
Select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box.
Click Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Click the Advanced tab. Enter advanced information:
Incoming server (POP3) port: 995
Select This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL).
Outgoing server (SMTP) port: 465, 587, or 25
Set the encryption type to SSL or TLS
Set your desired server timeout and delivery options.
- We recommend leaving a copy of messages on the server.
Click OK.
Restart Outlook.
Click Send/Receive All Folders.
You can now retrieve emails from your Yahoo Mail account in Outlook 2013.

Missing option to change HTTP request method on iView level

Dear all,
I am trying to implement an iView using the ApplicationIntegrator. Unfortunately I am getting the error message "Request Method POST is not allowed". I found this nice weblog where you have the option on the iView level to change the HTTP request method to "GET". Unfortunately I do not have this parameter.
I am on EP6.0 SP 9.

I'm not sure I fully follow what the problem is, or I'm misreading the issue.
Just to be clear, you are in Active Directory Domains & Trusts console, you did a click on "Active Directory Domains and Trusts," and then you are saying on the left pane you are not seeing the "Raise Forest Functional Level"
option, such as the following screenshot shows?
I assume there is currently only one domain in the forest.
Was there at any time another domain that was removed, such as a child domain or an additional domain tree, there was removed?
What's the Schema version? To find it, run this without the quotes:

Trying to change back INCOMING server port number

I was trying to figure out how to SEND email via my iPhone 3G. I can send email fine while at home (using my wireless router), but when I'm out and about I cannot SEND email. How do I do this?
In trying to figure this out on my own I was reading about my Comcast email account that said to change the port number. I accidentally change the INCOMING port number from 110 to 25. So, I know it needs to be 110, but everytime I change it in the Settings to 110 it automatically changes it back to 25 after I try to retrieve emails within the Mail option. What's going on?

To send email, you need to add cwmx.com under the smtp servers.
I'm having the same problem with setting my incoming server port to 110. I've been able to change it by opening Apple's mail client and editing the account preferences.
Then I went into iTunes and on the bottom of the info tab is a "Replace information on this iPhone" section. I checked the Mail Account tab and hit the sync button.
This did change my server ports to the correct ports, but I'm still having problems getting the iPhone's mail app to refresh using the new settings. I don't know how force the ports to change via windows.
I had to turn off the iPhone and restart it to get it to work. I also had to turn off the SSL under the advance tab. Little uncertain about leaving that setting.

Mail Preferences, iCloud. Incoming Server (IS) info is gray. Password can't be changed until IS info is input! How to change?

I am in the process of changing my iCloud password. I cannot do this in Mail. And until I do this in Mail, I can't receive any mail in iCloud.

System Preferences Mail section and entered your suggestion in the imap box.
I ran a test email, IT WORKS!
