No option to change wallpaper to personal photo on iphone4

Got a replacement iPhone 4 when my screen cracked.  This one doesn't allow me to change wallpaper to a personal photo.  When I go to settings>brightness and wallpaper, there is no option to use my own photo.  Any help would be appreciated.

What happens when you press Wallpaper under the brightness slider?  You should have two options... Wallpaper and Camera Roll

  • Facebook - Need Option to Change Cover and Profile Photos

Having to use my phone to change them is really a pain. How is there no option? I can upload a photo, but I can't make it my profile or cover photo. Please make this an option in the next update.

Has anyone on the ADE team seen this problem?  At least two of my mobile apps (Aldiko and OverDrive) both support changing text justification for epub files; unfortunately I have not found a desktop application that supports Adobe DRM.  The previous response to this issue incorrectly assumes the justification setting cannot be changed.  Also, it seems rather curious that the ADE forum supports changing the justification but the actual application does not.  Actually being able to read my epub documents is critical, and having text stretched out and difficult to follow makes this almost impossible.

On iPhoto, I can no longer access the 'Classic' option which would lay out my photos on the page. It will send them as attachments only. I need the page layout for my work. Any thoughts as to why this has changed? It used to fully lay out the photos so I could add notes and detailed information before I sent them. I am thinking it is something simple that I have just missed...

The "Photos" view has been replaced by the Media Browser.
Most applications will show you the Photos icon in the Sidebar, when you need to select photos in a file chooser dialoge. Mail, Safari, the iWork apps. See Terence Devlin's User Tip: How to Access Files in iPhoto
For example, in the File > Open dialogue in Preview I am seeing this in the sidebar.

What happens when you try to change them?
    Try:
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Resize or crop the photo to 960 pixels by 640 pixels, then email it to yourself.  Open the email on your phone, tap the attached photo and choose Save to save it to your camera roll.  You can then select the photo from your camera roll to use as your wallpaper (by going to Settings>Wallpapers & Brightness and tapping the wallpaper shown, if using iOS 7).  The wallpaper on the left in settings is your lock screen background, the image on the right is your home screen wallpaper.

Are the photos saved on your phone's SD card? Try removing and reinserting the card and restarting your phone.

  • Photos Export Options to Change Image Resolution

iPhoto used to let you export photos and change the resolution (setting pixel size, for example).  This is a function I used a lot to help my wife who is an artist  who needs to export images to post on eBay with the optimum image size.
I signed up for the Photos Beta to make sure this function was going to be available.  My recollection is that the first Beta version did have this feature in Photos.  I didn't check the later betas, but now that the production V1.0 is out, I discovered that this feature is not available.
Does anyone remember seeing this feature in the original beta software?  I was pretty sure it was present, but I might be mistaken.  It seems strange to remove features in the beta process.
Now I have to use Lightroom to do this.  LR handles this function easily, but it is a lot more complicated.

I am still seeing the option to change the resolution in the "File > Export > Version" panel.
Have you searched all options, David?  I have to click the little disclosure arrow tin the Export panel to get to the "custom" option.

  • Looking for software or a service with which I can create a personalized photo calendar

I am looking for software or a service with which I can create a personalized photo calendar. Any recommendations?
    Jerry

    Thanks for the reply.
iPhoto, unfortunately, has some real problems in my opinion. Control over image placement and size is limited. This is compounded by the fact that Apple has not made the job any easier by refusing to publish information such as recommended aspect ratios and pixel sizes of images used to create a calendar. Obviously, these both change as the page layouts change. But, I don't think it is too much to ask that Apple supply image aspect ratios for each frame size, 2:3, 3:4, 1:1, or something else. What pixel sizes are required for each frame size/aspect? It is impossible to place 2 photos (or 1 photo and a name) on one date should 2 birthdays fall on one day.
Further, there is no recommendation for color space to be used by the printer.
I am tired of trying out a photo in the calendar only to find it looks bad at the pixel size and aspect I chose, then have to go back to the original, re-crop, resize, and wrestle with bringing it back to iPhoto. (I use Aperture to organize my images.)
I must also add that I had a very bad experience with an iPhoto book earlier this year. Don't know if Apple has fixed the problems as I refuse to invest another 20 hours of time and more then $150.00 to find out.
I am seriously looking for something to replace iPhoto (unless changes are made) to do the 10 or 15 calendars for my family again this year (and possibly redo my book).

  • How do I *REALLY* change the date on photos?

I'm having trouble with this, and I'm sure there has to be a fix.
Let's say I took a group of photos last week. But oops, I forgot to set the date and time on my camera. So when I import the photos, iPhoto places them under April 2004 instead of June 2007.
No problem. I select all the photos, do a batch change on the date, and they now "appear" to be taken in June 2007.
But they weren't really changed. If you view the info for the photos, you'll see that they are still marked as April 2004 for the original date.
So basically iPhoto has set-up some type of filter to show the photos in 2007, even though the computer still believes they are from 2004.
This became a big problem when I imported my library to my new Mac. Perhaps I did something incorrectly, but I had quite a few imported photos that reverted back to their Original date, instead of the fake one I had set up in iPhoto. So my Library was a mess and I had to re-organize my collection.
This problem would be avoided if iPhoto really and truly changed the date timestamp on my pictures, as I asked.
I've downloaded several programs that offer photo meta editing. None of them did the job. They just changed the photo "Date Modified" to be June 2007. But if you look at their properties, they still show 2004 as the Original Date.
Mac OS X is a very smart system. Surely there is some way to truly force change the dates on photos. Afterall, they are just data in themselves. I can't imagine there isn't a way.
Can you help? Is there a work-around in iPhoto or OSX, or a separate program I can download?
    Thanks!

    Jon:
Dragging the thumbnails to the desktop and exporting are essentially the same process, producing copies of the full sized image file. Exporting gives you other options, however. Once you get the photos out of iPhoto you can run PhotoInfo on them and then import as new files. iPhoto will see those new files with the correct date. If you try running PhotoInfo on files already in iPhoto, you can change the EXIF Capture Date in the file but iPhoto won't recognize the changes.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How can I change the order of photos in iPhoto so I can create the slide show I want?

How to change the order of photos in iPhoto on my iPad, so I can create the slide show I want.

Here's what I did to generate a slide show with Ken Burns effect on the iPad...with the exact same slide order I created on the iMac.  I have iOS 5.5 and iPhoto App on New iPad, and iPhoto 11 on iMac.
In iPhoto for the Mac, create a new Album and give it the name of your Slide Show. Drag or import the photos you want into the album.  Rearrange the order of the album photos as desired. Do this by selecting Manual Sort under View/Sort Photos or simply start dragging thumbnails to the places you want them (the sort method will automatically change to Manual).
When you have the order you want, shut down iPhoto on the Mac to make sure iPhoto's database gets updated with the new photos and their order.
Restart iPhoto and go to File/Export on the top menu.  Select File Export at the top left of the Export window. Set JPEG quality to Max, Size to Full Size, and File Name to Album Name and Number.  Set Subfolder Format to None.
Click Export to bring up what looks like the Finder.  Create an empty folder on your hard drive under Pictures and give it the name of your slide show. Click on the new folder and then click OK at the bottom right of the Finder-like window.  The new folder will contain JPEG files with file names in the form, Album Name - 001.jpeg, Album Name - 002.jpeg, etc.  There will also be an iPOD Photo Cache folder.  Click at the top of the Name column to order files by file name.  001 will be your first slide, 002 your second, etc.
Now start up iTunes. You are going to force the Mac to sync these new photos with the iPad.  Click on your iPad device in the list at the left.  Now click on the Photo button at top right. Make sure the Sync Photos check box at top is checked, then select Choose Folder... from the list at right.  In the Finder-like window that opens, select the folder where your slides are.  Make sure that All Folders is checked, then select Open at the bottom right.
Now click Sync at bottom right.  The slides will be copied to your iPad.  Both the Photos app and the iPhoto app will properly handle the slide order, and the Ken Burns effect is available using the iPhoto app.
I ran across this problem in preparing a Ken Burns slide show for a wedding.  Drove me nuts for a week why the order changes when syncing an iPhoto album from iMac to iPad.  But this worked and gave me several options.  I plan to use the digital AV adapter for iPad and show slides on a large screen TV using HDMI connection from iPad to TV.  TV essentially acts as an external monitor for the iPad.
    Hope this helps!

  • How can I check and change the size of photo or doc in iPhone or any other app

How can I check and change the size of photo or doc in iPhone or any other app

You would need software form a third party to have this option.  The free software that comes with the 8600 doesn't have an option for that. Vuescan is the only software I could find that says it works with your pritner and has a descreen option.  You have to purchase it, but it will give you more advanced options than the software that came with the printer.

  • Change a group of photos to meet length of audio

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew how to change a group of photos' length to meet the length of an audio clip? I know that you can individually change each photo length but I need help with selecting a group of photos and making them all fit the length of a music clip.
Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

You may want to try to repair your iPhoto Library.  Errors may have crept in.  Back up you library first.  Hold down the option and command keys when you start iPhoto.  This will bring up repair options.  Try the first two or three, one at a time, and see if it helps.
You may also want to check out the iPhoto Library Manager App.

  • Why would I want to change JPEG quality of photos when exporting them from iPhoto?

Why would I want to change JPEG quality of photos when exporting them from iPhoto?  Changing the quality of the print changes the size of the saved file and thus impacts the speed at which it is moved on the internet.  But other than size of the file, what is the advantage of changing the quality?

I have no idea why you would want to do anything
Some people want lower quality to reduce file size for different reasons
It is an option - if you do pot want to do that do not use that option
