No option to export as HD Avi

Apologies if I've missed something obvious, either in the programme itself or on this forum, but I just can't seem to work this out.
I am trying to export my movie as a high def avi file.  It exports beautifully to a DVD but I can't see any default presets to export to an avi in high def.  I have the following options:
DV NTSC standard (no good as I want PAL)
DVD NTSC widescreen (no good as I want PAL)
DVD PAL standard (not widescreen)
DVD PAL widescreen (video size doesn't seem changeable and is only 720x576 i.e. not full HD)
Microsoft AVI (seems to be NTSC)
Uncompressed Microsoft AVI (also seems to be NTSC)
xVid (this seems more changeable than the others i.e. I can change the resolution to 1920x1080, but it crashes everytime)
Any help really appreciated.
I am using Pre9 on a Windows 7 PC.  Footage is shot on a Panasonic HDC-SD60 in AVCHD format, imported using Panasonic's HD Writer software.  Pre Project settings are Full HD 1080i 25.
Thank you very much.
Peter.

Thanks Steve - very helpful and much appreciated.
I am trying to stream the final file to my television over DLNA.
The TV accepts a number of formats, including those as follows:
.avi (Divx3.11/4.x/5.1/6.0) 1920x1080
.avi (XviD) 1920x1080
.avi (H.264 BP/MP/HP) 1920x1080
.avi (MPEG4 SP/ASP) 1920x1080
.mpg (MPEG1) 1920x1080
.mpg (MPEG2) 1920x1080
.mpg (H.264) 1920x1080
.mp4 (H.264 BP/MP/HP) 1920x1080
.mp4 (MPEG4 SP/ASP) 1920x1080
.mp4 (XVID) 1920x1080
Plus an array of other formats for .mkv, .asf, .wmv, .3gp, .vro, .ts, .tp, .trp
Whilst I could encode at 1920x1080, my Wi-Fi struggles a bit with this, so I will probably take it down to 1280x720.
Any suggestions much appreciated.,
Will certainly take a look at your book.  I bought the "Classroom In A Book" by Adobe when I got the software and am amazed at how little detail is in it.
Thanks again
Peter.

  • No option to export as AVI?

    Hi,
I am having problems with AME CS6 - having upgraded from 5.5. Initially running AME CS6 was a nightmare and it hung on loading the QuickTimeEncoder - the best fix for which was reply 15 (Seth) here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4540908 - thank you so much.
Now, however, I have no option to export as AVI - I had to completely reinstall and then overcome a "not activated" issue to get more export options than just H264 and FLV - once I did that and got a more comprehensive export list, it still omits AVI - has it been dropped as a standard? I doubt it, but I am at a loss - any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks

Ah, I had not made that connection. I have known export options like wmv from my mac in the past, but have recently switched to AME. For backwards compatibility, where windows can export dv, mov etc which are mac compatible, I feel the same should have been true for mac! For my colleagues with windows machines locked down by admin control who cannot install any decent encoders, I need to export as mpeg1 (yes 1 of all things) or avi for powerpoint purposes! At a bit of a loss now what to do to get my .mov files out to windows users with a limited system - them changing their system is not an option!

  • Not getting an option of exporting in mpeg 4 format? AVI file the size of the file is extremely huge

    Hi,
I am not getting an option of exporting in mpeg 4 format? Infact when I am rendering in AVI file the size of the file is extremely huge. Please can somebody help me in reducing the file size & exporting in MPEG4 format.

You need to learn about encoding. The default file type is Lossless for a reason. If you are using Ray-tracing and you have a supported Cuda card you must use the Adobe Render Cue. If you are not using Ray-traced rendering then you should be using the Adobe Media Encoder.
This will get you started: Basic Workflow, the last section is on rendering.

  • How can i export a 24bit avi file from photoshop for mac?

how can i export a 24bit avi file from photoshop for mac? i have a client that specificly needs the files to be avi and in 24bit what are the settings that i need to use to export the video using photoshop on a mac?

    Hello,
To make a 24-bit AVI file in Photoshop, go to File>Export>Render Video. Then, under File Options, choose AVI from the Quicktime Export drop-down menu. Click the Settings button. Click the Settings button in the AVI Settings window. Change Compression to None, and then choose "Millions of Colors" from the Depth drop-down under Compression.
The Millions of Colors option is for 24-bit video (8-bit R+G+B channels, 8x3=24). Millions of Colors+ is for 32-bit video (24-bit video plus an 8-bit alpha channel).

  • How do I export wmv and avi files from media encoder on a mac in CC2014

How do I export wmv and avi files from media encoder on a mac in CC2014?

As far as I know, you don't... those are Windows formats that are not available on a Mac
    Nonsense.
Apple Compressor has been doing wmf exports for a decade. I have the Quicktime export components from Telestream and they appear as presets in Compressor. They should be available in Media Encoder or they should be importable. Adove apparently refuses to see them. Still trying to figure that out.

    I using iPad 2.

"Re: Best options for exporting a sequence and making a DVD" and "I'm using iPad 2" and "My phone number is not verified!" don't seem to be entirely related. Can you please restate your question?

I need to export Quicktime files using the PhotoJPEG, MJPEG-A, or DV codec.  Is this possible in Final Cut Pro X?  In the options under export I don't see any of these available.  I'm a newbie to this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm importing .MOV files from my Canon 5Dmk2 at 1080p.  So should I just export using a different codec and then use Compressor or MPEG Streamclip to convert to an MJPEG-A or PhotoJPEG codec?

  • Installed LR 3.2, and export does not show any options for exporting to Smugmug, Facebook etc

I fresh installed LR 3.2 on a Windows 7 computer to try out tethering (which worked fine), but then tried to export the photos, but I don't have any options for exporting to non-harddrive based locations. The "export to" drop down at the top of the export page only has "hard drive" in it. The plugin manager says that plugins for SmugMug, Facebook, etc are all enabled.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Mike

I found too that the publishing services work differently than the plug-ins.  Not as intuitive, but work well just the same,  For me I had to do the "set-up" for the Facebook publishing service a couple of times.  I think this may have more to do with the Facebook security settings than with LR.

  • Are there options to export or save an image at a lower resolution?

Are there options to export or save an image at a lower resolution?

No, not in the Photos app. You would need to purchase/download a phot editing app for that.

  • Expanded options for exporting comments to Excel?

The Create Comment Summary Action, available through the Actions Exchange at adobeusers.com, allows users to export comments from pdf(s) to Excel-readable CSV format: http://acrobatusers.com/actions-exchange/create-comment-summary
This is a great tool, but could be improved by grouping actions related to the same comment on single rows, rather than create a new row for each action. Does anyone have any ideas as to how this could be achieved? See example scenario below:
Comments are made in a pdf:
Create Comment Summary Action tool generates the following in Excel:
The information is accurate, but isn't very helpful for large documents with many comments because there is no way to group actions by comment and determine which have been addressed and how they were responded to. In other words, responses and actions are not linked to the original comment.
Ideally, there would be an option to export the comments to a format similar to this:
Responses and actions are on the same row as the original comment, which allows for easy sorting and comprehension. Obviously there would be additional details to think through, but is this possible?
    Thanks!

I hope someone answers this since I want to do the same thing with my form data.

  • Newbie here: best sizing option while exporting for print?

What is an ideal/standard option for exporting and sizing a photo for print when you don't know if they will print 4x6, 5x7 or 8x10?  Is there a good option that will consider anything?  Bottom line: best sizing option while exporting?  Thanks

If you don't know the size that someone will print at, then you don't resize at all. Leave the Resize to Fit box unchecked in the Image Sizing portion of the Export dialog box  Let the person doing the printing do the resizing (if necessary)

  • Export as DV AVI

For the past several years I have been exporting videos created in Premiere (CS3) as file type: Microsoft DV AVI.
This has worked flawlessly up until yesterday.
It now only exports the audio and will not allow me to highlight "Export Video" ....only "Export Audio"
I can export as : Microsoft AVI
...but this is extremely slow! ( and doesn't create a thumbnail for me either )
Any clues for me as to what may have happened??
    Thank You

Unfortunately I'm not able to now.
    I thought I would do a reinstall of CS3.
Now when I try to start I get this:

  • Exporting actionscript as avi export movie

    hi all,
i have the following issue: i am creating a digital picture
    only via actionscript, e.g.
    moveTo(171,334)
    lineTo(176,235)
    lineTo(172,225)
    etc
Displaying the swf file via swf player is fine of course but
as I want to display it in a digital photo frame I need to export
it as .avi (as the dig. photo frame can't display .swf format). the
export only creates an empty avi file :(
    Does anyone know a solution?
    - Can I export just actionscript code as avi?
    - Or can I automatically convert actionsript to single frames
    (so to a non-as movie)?
    - Or does anyone know of a digital photo frame that can
    display swf files?
    Thanks for any help!!!

The AVI export doesn't support AS. Try using a third party
tool. Google SWF to AVI and you'll find a couple.
    Good luck!

  • No option to export sound with quicktime

When i'm trying to export a video clip of various formats, all i'll get is the video, no audio. Upon investigation there is no option to export sound (the half of the settings is unclickable). I do have a sound card with correct drivers installed, and under quicktime preferances the correct device is selected. However, when i am playing a "QUICKTIME MOVIE" I can export with audio. Is there some sort of codec needed, or is there a setting i can change?

QuickTime Pro doesn't export audio from "muxed" formats (like MPEG 1 or 2 and Flash).
Use MPEG Streamclip (free) for your .mpg files.

  • How do you get to the options for export settings with the new quicktime?

I'm having trouble with the new quicktime pro. I'm trying to export a video with specific settings when exporting. It seems that in this version of quicktime you export and the only options i get is how to format : for ipad/pod/phone or 480p which is not what I want I need to change the settings to make my video 480x360 and fast start for web. can someone help

How do you get to the options for export settings with the new quicktime?
You don't Use QT 7 "Pro", GarageBand, a video editor app, or a third-party app like MPEG Streamclip all of which can access user conversion settings.
