No oracle rdbms file found during PI 7.1 EHP1 installation

Dear all,
I am currently installating SAP EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1.
I have filled out all preselections screens.
I have started the installation (enterred the key generated from SAP Solution Manager).
When I reach step 8 - Install database server software, I get this message box :
"no oracle rdbms file found".
Then, eitheir if I click on "OK" or "Cancel", I get the following message box :
"SAPinst now stops the installation" ....
Here, I normally have to start the oracle installation.
I go to /oracle/stage/112_64/database/SAP to start the ./RUNINSTALLER_CHECK
/oracle/stage/112_64 exist, but /database/SAP does not exist !!!
Any idea is very welcome
Best regards

Hello dear sap nw admin,
I've the same problem while installing systems with the latest sw provisioning manager 1.0 sp3
Have you solved your problem by just downloading the latest installation master or have you also updated the rdbms dvd?
Kind regards
Roland

  • Problems with SAPUSER Table / ORA-1403 during PI 7.1 EHP1 Installation

    Hello,
as I have currently problems creating a customer message with the customer provided S-User and I need a solution after the easter weekend, I'll try my luck here...
We currently perform a SAP Netweaver PI 7.1 EHP1 installation on Windows 2008 (Enterprise)/ Oracle. The installation media were downloaded from SAPNet.
The Windows Server 2008 is completely udpated, no further patches are available.
The Windows system is patched according to note 1375494 (new SAP kernel does not work on Win2008 without).
Oracle 10.2.0.4 was installed previous to the installation.
During the installation the new independend and db-dependend kernel was provided.
First steps run smoth until Phase ABAP IMPORT. This one fails according to the logs because access to table SAPUSER is not possible:
         Compiled Jan 15 2010 23:56:22
         E:\usr\sap\PID\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\R3load.exe -testconnect
DbSl Trace: ORA-1403 when accessing table SAPUSER
         (DB) ERROR: db_connect rc = 256
DbSl Trace: ORA-1403 when accessing table SAPUSER
(DB) ERROR: DbSlErrorMsg rc = 99
I already checked the OPS$ mechanism. Starting SQLPlus /nolog and login with "connect /as sysdba" works as intended.
i.e. "select owner from dba_tables where table_name = 'SAPUSER';" shows:
         OWNER
         O$HERDER_DOMAIN\PIDADM
Which is ok, the Domainname and SID is correct.
    "select * from "O$HERDER_DOMAIN\PIDADM".SAPUSER;" show:
         no rows selected
Comparing this to another recently installed system there should be something like this:
         USERID
         PASSWD
         SAPSR3-CRYPT
         V01/0050ZctvSB67Wv2haiQTDrO5P5c7Ks/kyqpdQ7jDbQ==
But I'm not really sure, if this entry should be there at this installation phase.
If so, how is this entry created? Note 50088 describes how to handle this, but with other USERID and without encrypted PASSWD.
I have no idea, why this happens, I recently installed 2 ECC systems and 1 Solution Manager systems and had no problems installing them.
I already exchanged the control.xml according to note 1249469.
I cannot find any note for this situation, so please ... is there anyone out there with an idea?
    Best regards
    Christian Reitz

    Hi,
thanks for the answer... as I read your answer, I had some doubt, and unfortunately I was right.
Altering the users PW does not write into the SAPUSER table... why should it? Altering an oracle user does not effekt this SAP table.
In the meantime I started from scratch. Complete new installation of Win2008, patching, etc.
    ... same issue.
I don't know, why this happens... I cannot find another hint what happend before, when the user should be added into the table.
    Any ideas? Anyone?
    Thanks for help in advance.
    Christian

  • Oracle-rdbms-server-11gR2-preinstall withOUT Unbreakable ?

In the Oracle Linux 5 (RHEL 5) world, we used to install an “oracle-validated” RPM to prep a box for the database software, as well as the middleware. It sets some tuneables, loads some dependencies and other good housekeeping.
In the Linux 6 world, it appears that we now are supposed to use the “oracle-rdbms-server-11gR2-preinstall” RPM, but this also installs the Unbreakable kernel. Is there any such version of this RPM that will keep the RH Compatible kernel?
    see https://blogs.oracle.com/linux/entry/oracle_rdbms_server_11gr2_pre for other details.
    Thanks!

I think I just solved this issue... I was blindly installing the repo's per the link (http://public-yum.oracle.com/) - when I edited the
/etc/yum.repos.d/public-yum-ol6.repo file, and turned off ol6_UEK_latest (by setting enabled=0 for that stanza), I did yum clean all, and let it rip - it looks like I stayed with the RedHat Compatable version.. sorry for the long post, but see the bold in the beginning and end of the following...

The following script class will write a log file entry. See if it will run for you.
The script is using a class object that you might not have seen before. A little intro:  The top section is just for testing the class. Normally I just comment this out after the class is working well.  It should run right way. I would save the vbs file in the editor, That way when you are using autoactpath or currentscriptpath variables they will be able resolve the paths.

  • CR 2008 dependence files cannot be found during the web setup project build

    Hi,
Please anyone who knows why dependence files cannot be found?
CR 2008 dependence files cannot be found during the web setup project build. Nevertheless, this problem did not prevent the project from being installed on the server but I need to know why it couldn't be found? while I'm having the latest service packs installed on my development machine (SP0, SP1, SP-Fix 1, 2, 3 and 4 including ClickOnce and Merge Modules).

    Hi,
CR 2008 for VS has a merge module that will be copied to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Merge Modules for example (CRRuntime_12_1.msm, CRRuntime_12_1_da.msm, CRRuntime_12_1_de.msm, u2026).
According to CR documentation in order to deploy a project which uses a crystal reports we have to including one or more of these files in the setup project (Merge Modules).
As I understand these files can help the setup project to know which dependence files are needed for the application to be deployed successfully with CR.
    You mentioned
(The merge modules for Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 are dependent on the C++ library files from 2005 SP1.) I understood the above message.
But what did you mean by this? What are the merge modules that you are mentioning hear?
(I know this isn't what you want to hear but the merge modules just aren't available any other way. Microsoft doesn't have them available for download, and we are not permitted to make them available.)
    Thanks.

  • Class not found during deserialization of descriptor UserSession

I am using JDeveloper 3.1.1.2 (build 767) to deploy an EJB to Oracle 8.1.6 and I get the following error message....
Generating EJBHome and EJBObject on the server...
Class not found during deserialization of descriptor UserSession
*** Errors occurred while deploying the EJB to JServer ***
    *** Deployment completed ***
    I've tried
    a) to deploy all the classes in the project,
    b) create a new project step by step,
    c) use 'deployejb' and I still get the same error...
    Can anyone help? Thanks.

Yep, JDeveloper auto generates the <>.ejb and it is a binary file.
Seems a pretty specific error message....any help available from the JDev team??

  • Logical end-of-file reached during read operation

    Hi,
Something strange happened to my Logic a couple of days ago - all of a sudden. When I start Logic up it gives me the following error message:
*Error reading/writing file “com.apple.logic.pro.cs”: Logical end-of-file reached during read operation.*
I have re-installed Logic, as well as updated it (8.0.2), I have repaired disk permissions in Disk Utility, and it still keeps popping up. I cannot get on with my projects and I have deadlines!
I found an IT support site, according to that I don't have enough space on my HD. However, I do... I'm confused, and desperately need help.
Thank you so much, I'm looking forward to hearing from somebody.
    Agnes

I am not opening any files, just launching Logic.
I know. And when you launch Logic, it loads its preferences files - and it seems this is failing - most likely due to file corruption. So delete the file, as I said, and Logic should load fine.

  • Error in starting the service Oracle CSService not found

    Hi all,
i am trying to install Oracle Enterprise manager grid control,
i am getting the following error message
"error in starting the service Oracle CSService not found"
when i checked in the "services.msc" the Oracle CSService is not started, so i tried to start the service, but its not starting and giving the error message as "error 3 system cannot find the path specified"
then i checked in the service properties, and the path is pointing to a different directory,
now i want to change this path to the correct oracle bin directory.
any views how to cnage/update this path in the services.msc, for "Oracle CSService"
    Thanks alot.

    Hi
i have got the answer for this question, i updated the registry with the correct file path, and then closed the registry, the services.msc file is automatically updated with the correct path
and then started the CSService, then went to the OEM setup i clicked Retry buton, then it went through.
    Thanks to all the viewers.

  • HOW DO YOU CONVET AN ORACLE DATABASE FILE TO A TXT FILE?

Is there a way in a program unit of a form to convert an ORACLE database file into TXT format? When the file gets created, I want to use the text file in a distribution list for sending email. My code in the program unit is:
    Insert into THE_IMO_EMAIL
    Select distinct imo_email from DS_POC
    where imo_email is not null;
    commit;
Table THE_IMO_EMAIL is a temporary table. The temporary table gets deleted everytime before records get inserted into it. There is only 1 item in the temporary table.
    IMO_EMAIL VARCHAR2(55)
After the COMMIT I want to copy the contents out of the
    THE_IMO_EMAIL into a TXT File.
How do I do this? What parameters do I need to use? Should I do this in another program unit?

can you be more clear on this
"DATABASE FILE" what is this? an RDBMS file and you need this in ASCII format. I am lost.

  • "Template import error: No VM configure file found" on brand new setup

Previously, I posted Console does not launch OVM 3.1.1, Win7x32 Firefox15/IE8 - Empty .jnlp file which was about VM Console not launching. Since this is a new installation, and it seemed to be a unique problem, I scratched the whole installation and started again from scratch. Everything, including the NFS file server, was re-installed from scratch CD OS installation.
The process is pretty straightforward once you're used to it, and in less than three hours I was ready again to import my first template (a template I had imported before). But now, I submit the the request, and almost immediately the process aborts. (You can see in the information below, that 1 second passes between the Import request (06:32:36) and the failure.)
Thing is, it takes about three minutes, even locally on the web server, to get an index of that large file (tar tzf), and at completion, the vm config file is listed.
Am I misreading the error? My web searches for enlightenment found only one good hit on this error, and in that case it appeared to be an "out of space" issue. In this case, though, I'm importing a 5GB tarfile into a 390GB, otherwise-empty file system, so I don't think that is the issue. The failure in ovs-agent.log is below. What other information may I provide to get to the bottom of this? (Thanks for any guidance/help, of course!)

How did you get the template to where you staged it?
I'd say the template is corrupt or you only have a partial template.
I did notice the call to the template is based on the short name of the host. Can you confirm the VM manager can access the http path via short name?

  • Keep getting message pop up "Error reading/writing file  "com.apple.logic.pro.cs": Logical end-of-file reached during read operation," and "The Preferences are not loaded completely. Save them to "com.apple.logic.pro.cs" anyway?" Using Logic pro 8. ???

Logic froze while I was working on something so I forced quit.  Now every time I open LOGIC a message pops up that says:
    "Error reading/writing file
    “com.apple.logic.pro.cs”:
Logical end-of-file reached during read operation."
The only button option is cancel so I press it and another message appears that says:
"The Preferences are not loaded completely.
Do not save them, as you would overwrite the Preferences file with incomplete data."
Then when i close logic a box appears saying:
"The Preferences are not loaded completely.
    Save them to "com.apple.logic.pro.cs" anyway?"
There are 3 button options to press; ok, cancel or dont save.
I press "don’t save" cuz I don't want to ruin anything.
I found a discussion located here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/9564253#9564253 that says if I delete the file "com.apple.logic.pro.cs" it will resolve the problem.  If I do this will I loose or mess anything up at all, automation, saved channel strips customizations, saved effects, synth, or ultrabeat customizations etc? Or especially will I loose any work I've done?  I have hundreds pieces of music files I've created.  I'm scared to mess anything up with all the hours and months of work I've done.  Is there anyway to fix this without loosing anything?  I'm using Logic Pro 8.
    Thank you

You can safely delete this file - its the preference file for control surface settings - you haven't said whether you're actually using a control surface or not, if so, you will have to set it up again. A new file will be created when you fire Logic up again, but of course it will contain default settings. If you have a complicated control surface setup, remember to keep a backup copy somewhere in case any future problems arise.
Other than that, you really have nothing to be scared about - hopefully your problem is as simple as that and there isn't an underlying problem (a corrupt hard drive, for example). You seem concerned about losing work, so I guess you want to think about backing that up on a regular basis too. If you're saving your projects to your system drive, do get an external one for this. And also check that you have plent of free space on your system drive - you need to keep about a quarter or third of it free for your OS and programs to run properly (some temporarily stored files can be quite large).

  • Problems found during the EXPORT to specified keyin table.

    Hi
I am getting this error in sending iDOC system( We have iDOC-XI-iDOC Scenario.) I tried to reregister the queues but still nothing is passing thru XI.
    Thanks,
    Manish

Acutally I am getting this DUMP in ST22.
    <i><b>ShrtText                                                                                |
Problems found during the EXPORT to specified key in table.
    What happened?
    Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "CL_XMS_PERSIST================CP" had to be
    terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
    What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
    error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
    date.
is especially useful if you want to keep a particular message.
    Error analysis
The table " " does not contain any data records with the specified key.
The system called the internal SAP database interface because it
expected to find such a key.
    How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
    use the following search criteria:
    "EXPORT_TABLE_UPDATE_CONFLICT" C
    "CL_XMS_PERSIST================CP" or "CL_XMS_PERSIST================CM00W"
    "INSERT_MSG_ALL"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
    1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->

  • Unable to extract oracle.sar file in Linux

    Hello all,
I am aware of installing sap components in windows platform but now as a first time i am installing in linux environment.
I am getting issues in oracle installation.
First i have installed Red hat linux 5 and started trying to install Oracle. In the source files of oralce (8.1.7.4) is sar file type, so I have downloaded the sapcar file from SMP for the linux platform but sapcar in SMP i can see the file type as exe file. I am not sure file type exe will support in linux. And also i made sure that owner and group have right access.
But still i tried by extracting the oracle.sar file but its throwing an error as bash. SAPCAR file not found.
I am sure --> I have placed the sapcar file in the same directory as oracle source file were placed and also I am sure I am trying to extract the this file in the same directory in command prompt.
Even I placed this sapcar file in environment variable = path.
Kindly advice me where the problem is.
    Regards
    Vijay

So, I have installed the red hat linux 5 and now started to install oracle 8i. I have tried to unextract the oracle.sar file there i got this error and now i am geting the different error after changing the environment variable - path.
The error is SAPCAR: error while loading shared libraries:libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2:cannot open shared object file:no such file or directory

  • "Errors Found During Burning Process"

    Hi,
Having sucessfully burned AVI movies using iDVD in the past I have started getting errors. iDVD now does the same thing regardless of the movie i'm trying to burn and the media I use.
Having selected Best Quality (due to the film size), the menu rendering works fine, as does the prolonged job of encoding the video. When iDVD gets to the Audi encoding bit, just before it starts to burn the DVD itself, iDVD ejects the disc and states: Errors Found During Burning Process.
Clicking on the arrow to get more info it states: "The recording device reported the hardware error: Tracking servo failure. (0x09, 0x01.)" Bizarrely, the main iDVD progress window states both 'Cleaning Up' and 'Writing Lead-In' and the only way to get out if it is to force quit.
I've read a few posts on here and tried a couple of things such as trashing the plist file and reparing permissions. I also booted up the diagnostic disc to see if it could see a problem with the optical drive. But nothing has solved the problem.
    Any ideas?
For reference, I'm running iDVD 5.0.1 on Tiger on a 1.8 G5 iMac with 1GB RAM.
Appreciate any help you can give me.
    Neil

    Colleagues:
Ran into the same error, # -34506. Definitely frustrating as I was burning a DVD of an iMovie that I'd spent many hours editing. The iMovie is only 30 miniutes in length, so I don't think it's a size issue. iDVD went through each one of it's steps in burn DVD sequence. However, 45 minutes later when processing is finished, the message reads: "Burning Finished, Errors were found during the burning process." Clicked to see the detail: "The error # -34506 was reported." Checked the DVD and nothing was burned!!! The same thing happens when I opt for disk image. No img file is produced. This is especially frustrating as it looks like it all but completed processing.
Does anyone know what Error # -34506 specifically indicates? How do you fix this? Does it only happen in a specific sequence? And, is Apple aware of the problem?
    Thanks!
