No organizer menu in PE 9 trial

I have installed the trial version of PE 9. There is no menu visible at the top of the organizer page. Tech support will not help me . What do I do?

Organizer menu bar on my Elements 10 disappeared

I have Elements 10 on a MacBook Pro with Mavericks OS. The "Organizer" menu bar which shows forward/back buttons, Search function, Organize, Fix, Create, Share functions etc. has suddenly disappeared. The program has been working fine for 3 years. I uninstalled the program and re-installed it but it did not fix the problem.

There have been a lot of these screen display issues recently so I think it is more an Apple issue of backwards compatibility for the Mavericks OS upgrade (that didn't exist when PSE10 launched).
But having changed the resolution a few times, have you reset it back to the screens native resolution to see if that resolves it.

Best way to organize menu code?

I've been developing a Swing application for my small company for a little over six months now. It's essentially a front end for a SQL Server database, which the application connects to using JDBC over our VPN. Anyhow, the application has reached a level of complexity (always adding new features!) that is driving me to reorganize a lot of the functions from button-driven to menu-driven.
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good approach to organize/control the menu behavior. I have one "main" window with different tabs that allow searchability/access to different database entities. I'd like the available menus in the menubar to change (show/hide) for each tab that is selected, and certain individual menu items in the menus should also show/hide based on where the user is currently "located" within the application. Should I define a separate JMenuBar for each tab, and use JFrame's setJMenuBar() whenever the tab changes? This seems like the easiest way, but it seems a little redundant to recreate the File and Edit menus as separate objects for each tab. I realize this is pretty general, but I'm still in a general-thinking mode on this topic and suggestions or best practice recommendations are appreciated!

what I suggest is just to create one subclass of JMenuBar which contains all the possible menus your application can have. Then define a method say something like public void switchToState(int state) {
createMenus(); // this method may add all the available menu options
if(state == MAIN_STATE) { // for example purposes only
     fileMenu.remove(open);
     editMenu.remove(cut);
} else if(state == EDIT_STATE) {
     fileMenu.remove(close);
     editMenu.remove(preferences);
validate();
repaint();
}This is just one way of doing it, so your application just has to call switchToState and pass in the relevant state and the menubar changes. So work around this to suit your needs.

Why won't menu bar activate in freshly opened trial version?

What do you mean by “menu bar activate”?
BTW, there is nothing limited in the trial except it quits working after 30 days so as long as you’re still able to run it, then everything should be acting the same after the program has been licensed.

Elements 9 Organizer Menu Bar

When I open Organizer the toolbar/menu bar (file, edit, find, view, window, help) is not shown. Instead I have to search for a hidden box that opens these items when clicked. How do I get this menu bar to show?

Photoshop Elements 7 organizer menu problem

I just installed PSE 7 which I have had for some time but just never got around to installing it.
When I go to the organizer no tabs such as File, Edit, View show at the top of the screen. Only a little house icon shows which every time I click it I am sent back to the original log on screen. I cannot figure this one out.

This had vexed me in Elements 6 so much that I avoided the Organizer as much as possible, using Picasa instead when sorting and deleting newly downloaded photos. I just bought Elements 8 yesterday and was dismayed to find the Menu bar missing again, although it is in every screen shot and tutorial. Thanks, Mr. Rellis, for the solution, which I would not have figured out (and Adobe didn't bother to tell me) in months of Sundays.

I have the same problem with PSE9. John Ellis' post refers to a "Use System Font" workaround. When I tried this solution in PSE7, it worked. However, the workaround did not solve the problem for me in PE9. Have you been able to get it to work in PSE9?

Hi. Can somebody please tell me how to obtain the menu bar in PSE9 organizer. At the moment it is hidden under a small rectangle that only shows when you curser over it. I have searched and searched but cannot seem to find a solution.

Query panel menu item disabled in trial version

I am using the trial verison of CR 2008 ..... the "query panel" menu item under the database expert is disabled so I cannot explore this feature to change my report query. how can this be enabled so I can use it ??

If you look in the Crystal help file and search on Query panel you'll get this:
"Use the Query Panel command to open the Business Objects Query Panel in Crystal Reports. In the Query Panel, you can build and modify queries and filter universe data that the program returns to Crystal Reports."
It only works when you are connected to Business Object Enterprise.
And to answer your question/issue. You can't modify the Query CR builds if that is what you are trying to accomplish. Your only option is to use a Command Object where you write the SQL statement, then you can edit it in the Command Edit option.

Help still shows Export to be under the Bookmarks/Organize Menu. There is no Organize in my copy of 5.0. How do I export my bookmarks?

I want to export an HTML copy of my bookmarks to restore them after a soon-to-be reset of my machine.
Help says to do it the way I have in the past, but there is no Organize option in the Bookmark menu.
How do I export my bookmarks, so that I can later import them?

PSE 8 Organizer Menu Bar minimzed

since update PSE6 to PSE8 the menu bar of Organizer looks minimized. I didn't found any option to change this behavior. Also new installation did not changed this issue.

Elements 12 Organizer Menu is gone

Using a MacBook Pro, Elements 12 organizer top of screen has rolled off the top of the screen. I cannot get to anything in the top 1/3 of the screen. I cannot change between media and people, cannot minimize screen, cannot see entire photgraph. Any suggestions?

It is difficult to know what has actually happened but have you tried to drag the window by clicking once (and keeping it pressed) on the title bar and dragging the window to see if you can resize it. If you can then all you need to do is to click on the middle picture as shown in this screenshot:

Elements Organizer Menu Off Screen Mac OS X

Photoshop elements organizer was loading and I was changing the size of the window. The program was kind of freezing and the top of the window got dragged off screen. Nothing I have tried has gotten the window to its regular size. I have tried changing the computers resolution, closing the program, reopening it, and restarting the computer. I don't have the option of using the window > zoom. Has anyone had this problem and solved it?

Organizer Menu Bar pse7.0

The top menu bar does not display the various selections: File, Edit, find, view, window, help unless I click on a >> symbol which is almost invisible against the dark background. How do I make the list stay open?

All I can find is two little > which is very hard to see. However if I click on it it does have all the titles there.

Go to the control panel and check dpi scaling under Appearance or Display.
It’s not uncommon to see a setting of 125% or higher to improve screen readability but PSE9 requires a dpi of 96 or 100%
Whilst the Editor Menu will appear at 120% the Organizer Menu (and the advanced button in downloader) won’t.
Try a setting of 115% or 116% otherwise 100%. A common display resolution, notably for notebooks/laptops and netbooks is 1024 x 768 but PSE9 requires a screen height of 800 for full functionality.
