No original is assigned to the document

Dear All,
When a original file is stored in SAP database by CV01N, at first status say work request WR, and  primary status type P it does not store a content version of the original file, at status log tab
It gives a message
No original is assigned to the document
Message no. 26276
However,
As and when the status is changed for the DIR from WR to IW, IR, CR, etc…there is Storage of the content Version drawings for all of these status except the initial status WR.
A copy of the original file getting stored as content version is of much importance at the first status, than at the later stages.
i hope i have cleared my requirement if screen shot explanation of the problem is expected i can mail the same to you.

but i have made all these configuration for all the document status including the first status ie..WR
in my  case iam able to see the X mark on the content version tab but could not view the original file.
it gives a message,  no original is assigned to the document; message no 26276.
here particurarly the content version is not stored for the first status which i define.
if i have not done the said configuration it would have got a message, no content version can be displayed for this log entry.
please let me know weather a content version could be  stored for the first status.
which we define in the DIR.
is there any extra provisions to be made to do this.
pls suggest.

    Hi,
    When generating an Official Receipt (OR) for the collection, the series number assigned by the system to the specified document number was erroneous.
    Example:
    Receipt Lot Number = 0158
    Series Number = 02000001 - 02999999
    I displayed the generated OR on Tcode S_P00_07000219, and here are the sample. The user generate the OR in batch, meaning they specified these 3 document number for OR generation.
    Lot No.     Receipt No.      Document No.
    0158        0100000020      3500000008
    0156        0200000005      3500000018  (correct series)
    0158        0300000002      3500000005
    Can anyone explain why the program behaves like this?

  • CHARM: How the user status is updated for the documents

    Hi Experts,
    I want to know how a particular status is set for a document. In the configuration, we maintain status table where in all the statuses are defined and hence the same is assigned to the document. We also make use of default method in one of the actions, such as:
    Sets user status according to container element USER_STATUS
    How a status is set for each action in the action list? Do we pass any value to the above mentioned method so that it can set the same?
    If I am not wrong, this default method simply sets the user status according to the value available in USER_STATUS (as per the description of the method). But, where we are setting this variable/element?
    May any one please help me understand this? Your help will be highly appreciated.

    Hi Faisal,
          I dont know if I get your question very well, but in transaction SPPFDCADM you cant control this method. For example, select CRM_ORDER, then "Define Action Profile and Actions", select "SDHF Actions" , then "Action Definition", select "IN PROCESS", then "Processing type", there if you hit "Display definition" you will see the parameter this action is sending to the method (the parameter is the user status to be set).

  • Assignment from source document number in the query to archived document

    Dear all,
    we scan all original documents and store them in an optical archive like IXOS. This archive is connected to our ERP-system. An on ERP with the source document number. When I pick up the financial document I have the possibility to open the scanned original document.
    In BI we use the cost center cube. One of the characteristics in the cube is the source document number. Now we have the request to jump direct from the source document number in the query to the archived original document.
    Is there a possibility to define an assignment from the source document number in the query to the archived original document.

    FYI,my infoset is created based on bill doc and item number which is available in both the ODS.
    Here,for every document in Billing ODS,there are more number of documnets in Condition ODS,so the bill qty is getting added according to the numvber of records in Condition ODS.
    Eg.Billing ODS: Doc Num:100012, Qty = 8.if 10 records are ther in condition ODS,then in the infoset my QTY becomes,
    Doc Num:100012, Qty = 80.
    So in the query i divided it by number of records to get the qty and is coming correctly for documnet wise report.
    Problem comes when i remove documnet from the report and drilldown to higher level,say material,then it is calculated wrongly.

    You can't change the way Pages import .doc files.
    It was never written that it reproduce exactly the original one.
    From my point of view, as I refuse to give a cent to M...soft, the best way to deal with documents issued by their Office suite is to use the free libreOffice.

    What kind of documents are these? If they are billing documents, the assignment and reference fields are copied as per the configuration done for SD document copy control. If these docuemnts are uploaded documents or coming through an extenal system, the abap program must be populating these values based on sime criteria.
    Kindly check let us know the kind of documents and how the entry happens.

  • How to convert a word doc to PDF while retaining original page layout of the word document

    I am trying to convert a Word document to a PDF.  When I do so, the page layout is changed, with the result that document headings that are on one page in the Word document are on other pages in the PDF.  What settings do I need to adjust to retain the original page layout after the conversion--ie. sentences/words on one page in the Word document stay on that page in the PDF.  I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and Word 2013 in Windows 8.  Thanks.

    Start with having the Adobe PDF printer set as your Default printer.
    (You do not want Word changing to match printer metric as this can goober output.)
    Open Word. Review all Options of configuration to assure there are no surprises.
    Prior to printing always perform updates of any fields (styles for auto-numbering and other such use field codes -- update all field codes before a print job).
    When Word is properly configured and the content appropriately mastered then the output PDF will be spot on.
    (Input dictates output)
    Ensure the installed Acrobat version and Office application versions are compatible.
    Ensure the installed Acrobat is compatible with the OS in use.
    Check that PDFMaker is configured as desired.
    Check that the Distiller job option used is configured as desired.
    (PDFMaker and Distiller are installed when Acrobat is installed.)

    If you buy used you have to be careful.  I am not sure what software came with which system versions and which computers but the iLife application history is complex.  If you end up looking for "original" discs such as those that came with your computer, make sure iPhoto was part of it, and make sure the discs you buy are really identical to the ones for your computer model.  A lot of people sell gray colored discs as installer discs, but the versions are machine specific so getting any old Tiger installer may not work on your computer.  Unfortunately the universal Tiger installer may not have iPhoto. Maybe somebody more familiar with the iPhoto history can provide specific advice.
    An alternative is to look for a used iLife series that will work on your computer.  Again, this will have to be used.  Apple's staying ahead of the curve basically means those of us with old machines are left to fend for ourselves as best we can.

    Switch to the Finder app and open its preferences.
    Remove the check mark on the items you don't want displayed in the Sidebar tab.
    The originals are not removed from the machine.

    Hi folks!
    When creating a support message (SLFN) and saving the document usually the BP of the current user got assigned to the partner funtion "message processor".
    This used to work but does not anymore. Now I cannot find the reason why.
    I think I could achieve this via customizing "Make Settings for Change Transaction Types" and using "Specify Copy of Current User" but I am pretty sure this was not customized before.
    I could use partner determination procedure, too. Access sequence "User" but still I am not sure this was customized before.
    I am using SLFN transaction type service provider scenario (SLFC0001)
    Anyone got an idea?

  • I duplicated a document created originally in new pages 5.1 and exported that copy to the older pages '09. I see the document listed in the old pages but my computer refuses to open it demanding I download the newer pages app... which I have. Now what?

    I am able to open the document through finder, but I can't with Pages '09.

    I have the latest operating system on my '09 macbook pro. My old pages is pages '09.
    When this document was created I didn't realize I did it under Pages 5.1, which I now realize is limited in capabilities so it can speak to iOS devices through iCloud.
    I duplicated that file, renamed it "Yardening copy" and exported to Pages '09. I see the file in the pages listing, but when I try to open it there I get a warning that I need to download the new Pages 5.1... which I have on my computer. I even tried to email it to myself hoping that might work on a lark, but the file is too larg being that it includes pictures.
    I can find the copy via finder, and yes, double click it and it opens... but I'm assuming it is using Pages 5.1 to do so.
    Do I really have to copy and past all the info on this document onto a new Pages '09 document where I want to maintain my  master library of documents?
