No OS Help menu. plz advise

My Mac Help is not functioning. There are no icons on the window that pops up and it will not search. Any ideas what to do?
PS I have the same problem with Fireworks MX.

Common strategies:
- verify/repair permissions
- verify/repair volume
- trash application preferences
Isolate the problem:
- log in as different user
If the problem still occurs while logged in as a different user, it is more serious than if it only happens in one user account. You may need to Archive and Install the Operating System.

I create the html file, map file(in .jhm format) and HelpSet (in .hs format) and run the help menu via hsviewer. Of course if you are both connected to the same iCloud account you have the same contacts - what did you expect?. The contacts live on the server and are read from there by the devices; so as you've both managed to sync your contacts up to iCloud they are now inextricably mixed. You can only delete your contacts by deleting individual ones, and doing that will delete them from your phone as well.
You can only unravel this by
1. In the iCloud contacts page at http://icloud.com, select all the contacts, click on the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose 'Export vCard'.
2. Sign out of System Preferences>iCloud
3. Create a new Apple ID and open a new iCloud account with it for your own use.
4. Import the vCard back into the iCloud contacts page.
5. Go to http://icloud.com and sign in with the original ID. This is now his ID. Work through the contacts individually deleting the ones you don't want him to have. When done sign out and advise him to change his password.
6. Go to the new iCloud account and delete his contacts individually.
Of course if you have also been syncing calendars and using the same email address there are problems with doing this.

Help menu is damaged

My help menu from a purchased copy of elements 10 is damaged according to the menu

I purchased a copy of elements 10 from Office Depot. I installed the program and it works fine. However, when I try to use the help menu for quick answers, i get a pop up box that infroms me that the help menu on this program is damaged. It advises me to contact the manufacturer or to reinstall the program. Trying to reinstall i have one option; it wants to uninstall the program. It also informs me that it is a one time thing. I'm concerned that if i uninstall the program, i won't be able to reinstall it. Does this explantion help further? Can i download the help menu without downloading the entire program from Adobe downloads?

Help menu in safari and Mac help do not work

Am very new to apple... having made the switch a month ago. I use the HELP menu a lot but since yesterday the menu option for safari and also MAc help will not pen. The other menu options are fine.
Please advise me on what to do

Adobe AE CS4 Help Menu nonfunctional

AE Help, Scripting Help, Expression Reference, Animation Presets, Keyboard Shortcuts are all nonfunctional under the Help menu. Registration, Deactivation etc. are functional. This AE is with CS4 Premium Production on Windows Vista. This has been a problem since initial installation. It remained a problem on reinstallation a year and a half later. Is there a file that did not load from the disk that I should be aware of? I was hoping for updates to correct this but that has not happened.

I resolved the problem in CS4 by uninstalling and reinstalling AE. Evidently when I installed it from disk it didn't all install. The AE I have is part of a suite (PP) and I probably reinstalled the whole thing. CS5 has the Help pdf popping up when I am searching from the application window. This is a hindrance. See my problem for December 2011.

SharePoint 2013 "Help Menu" not working (Sorry, the page you're looking for can't be found)

The Built in SharePoint 2013 Help Menu (?) on our Enterprise Farm for both the sites and Central
Admin does not work.
On Central Admin help the error comes back as: "Sorry, the page you're looking for can't be found".
The site collections Help menu gets the error :
"Unfortunately, help seems to be broken...
There aren't any help collections in the current language for the site you're using."
We have installed on all servers in the farm:
December 9, 2014 Cumulative Update for SharePoint Server 2013 package (build 15.0.4675.1000)
as well as the latest SharePoint update KB2768001 1/15/2013.

We are only using Default English (US) language packs.
In the directory of
Directory of C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\HCCab\1033
there are cab files.
There are no pending upgrades on any SharePoint or SQL server, all other SharePoint components are working
normally.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm interested in getting the local help to work while this is offline, I saw the following in an article, did you do this and it still does not work for you?

I currently have iTunes version 7 and I need to upgrade to version 10. I am afraid of losing all my music if I just download 10 and when I use the "Check for updates" in the version 7 help menu, it tells me the server cannot be contacted.

I currently have iTunes version 7 on my computer and need to upgrade to version 10 to sync my new nano iPod. When I tried the "check for updates" under the version 7 "help" menu, it said it could not contact the update server. I am afraid if I just download version 10 from the website, it will wipe out my music library. What should I do to upgrade?

Back up your music and install from the website. You probably won't need to do this, but if your library is erased, restore it from the backup.

When I try to update my phone to ios 7 it says i need to update my itunes to 11.0.5, when i check my current version in help menu under check for updates it says I have the current 11.0.5 version.

There is some kind of error. The new version of iTunes is 11.1, which although is not available via updates, it can be downloaded from the Apple website here:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
After updating iTunes to the newest version you should be able to update your iOS
EDIT: I just did that and it works

It should be accessing :- http://<planning server>:8300/HyperionPlanning/help/en/hp_information_map/hp_information_map.html
Can you access that address on the machine hosting planning?
The file structure on the web server depending on which app server you use should be something like \Hyperion\deployments\Tomcat5\HyperionPlanning\webapps\HyperionPlanning\help\en\hp_information_map\hp_information_map.html

Neither can we. Only the original owner can help you, surely he/she can reset their password.

With Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to 'Lock Rotation' have you then moved the switch on the right-hand side of the iPad above the volume control 'off' ?
Or with the switch set to control 'notification mute' you should be able to unlock rotation via the far left of the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar.
