No PDT considered for PO rescheduling

I have a stock shortage as of today such that MRP needs to reschedule in my procurement proposals. For a planned order with a PDT of 21 days, the system correctly issues exception error '30'. But for an already existing PO for a 12/8 delivery with same 21 days PDT, the system suggests exception error '10'. Why would the system not treat the PO same as the planned order, as clearly a PO can't just be rescheduled in for today due to the shipment time? If this is standared behavior, is my best solution to maintain rescheduling tolerances?
Thanks,
Vlad

Vlad, system has no way of knowing whether the material is comming from import (a long way), or just next door.
System is only giving you an alert that something that is scheduled to arrive 12/8 is actually needed today; the reason for that is to make you aware of the fact that you may have a supply problem, and to signal that you should try to find a way (if possible!) to bring it in earlier.
It is clear that in some cases there's nothing you can do, besides letting the one that is requiring the material (production for example) know this fact. By having this info at an early stage, production may change their plan to cater for the missing material.

  • Function Module for Job reschedule

    Hello Experts,
Is there a function module for job rescheduling as i need to create a automation program where i need to select all jobs from excel sheet and reschedule at different time.
    Thanks and Regards,

You could use the following FM
    - [BP_JOB_READ|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/advancedsearch?query=bp_job_read] (read first from TBTCO to fill field JOBCOUNT)
    - [BP_JOB_CREATE|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/advancedsearch?query=bp_job_create] (change schedule parameters first)
    - for recent versions [BP_JOB_COPY|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/advancedsearch?query=bp_job_copy]
You should take a look at FM of the FG BTCH and SAP documentation like [Programming with the Background Processing System (BC-CCM-BTC)|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/fa/096c53543b11d1898e0000e8322d00/frameset.htm]

  • Provision that MRP is not be considered for specific line item of Sales Ord

Is their any provision that MRP is not be considered for specific line item of Sales Order in MRP run? (Ex: Planned order is also generated for free/ADC sample quantity entered in Sales order)

    Dear
Go to Sales and distribution--> Sales --> Sales Documents -->Schedule Lines --> Assign schedule line categories.
Choose the item category (eg. TAN)  which is coming in the sales order and enter CN - No. Mat. Planning in the the manual schedule line category (MSL Ca) for MRP type PD.
This will enable you to choose while creating sales order in the Tab procurement column SL Ca.
Choose CN - No mat.planning for the schedule items which you don;t want MRP.

  • Open Items not considered for Payment Lot

    Hello Experts.
I have created some open items using FPE1. They are displayed as due in FPL9. But the same open items are not selected in FP06 for clearing. They are also not considered for clearing in a payment lot (FP05).
Can some one tell me what could be the reason for this
    Best Regards
    Venkat

If you have a clearing restriction, to be able to remove it when you change the document in FPE2 for example you need to activate that clearing restriction in:
Financial Accounting > Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable > Basic Functions > Open Item Management > Define Modifiable Clearing Restrictions
If you don't do that you cannot manually change it.

  • Materials in stock at u loc consider for Availability check but not for MRP

    Dear ALL,
Please solved the problem by settings in the customizing  we are able to set the materials  at stock U location (serviceable )should not be considered in Mat Availability  for PM orders
Settings we have made for all storage locations in U * By excluding storage location stock from MRP
If storage location stock is excluded from MRP at plant level, no receipts for this storage location will be created in the planning run.
so we are able to run the availability check perfectly
But now MM dept.is not accepting this as they want this stock to be considered for MRP
Has anybody done this scenrio successfully please reply the solution
    Regards
    Pratap

A way that I think of, is to set the ATP at SL level, so in PM order you check only in a specific location, not in all the plant.
Of course that you need to let all SLs to be relevant for MRP, otherwise this stock is not considered for planning.

  • F&R Stock considered for FRP is 0

    Hi all,
I can see stock for Location Product in FRE/CADE as well as when I run /FRE/FU_TOOLS_READ_STOCK. However in the generated OP's when I click on Calculation details, the field Stock considered for FRP is 0. The stock field in /FRE/MATLOC_FRP is also 0. Can anybody suggest me possible reasons for this and how to correct it?
    Thanks,
    Manoj.

    Hi Manoj,
it looks the system has performed a stock projection during the FRP run. This happens if the last update date for stock is  in the past. That means, if the stock has been updated the last time somewhere in the past. You can check the last update date for stock within table /FRE/FRPMID_SCHE. In the selection screen enter the F&R GUID of the location and FRP sequence ID 92 (= stock).
Solution: change the 4 date fields to the current date (= today). Be careful, time stamp format has to be considered.
    Kind regards,
    Rainer

  • Sales order stock is considered for requirement

    Hi,
We are using STO scenarion and the material was subjected to MRP and we are creating STO with sales order as account assignment.
The Problem here is when the material master MRP 4 BOM explosion / dependent requirement is set to 2 while STO creation it is not considering Sales order stock.
So we normally change the material master to BOM explosion / dependent requiremt to 1 and Copy the old PO line and creating a new line then we delete old  PO lines. Now the sales order stock is considered for requirement.
I want to know how the changes in material master BOM explosion / dependent requiremt 1 or 2 should update the stock and requirement automatically to considered the sales order stock or not.
Kinldy provide me the tips if you have
    Regards
    palani

    HI,
If you change the individual / collective requirement field to 1, and if the settings for MRP type / lot size are PD /EX, system will always consider it as a special stock material.
Now it will be a business decision whether to consider this material as a special stock material or plant stock material. Based on this you can change the individual / collective field value.
Please write back in case you need any additional information.
    Thanks...

  • Which prod. ver will consider for costing?

    Dear Guru's,
I have three prodution versions for material with three different alternative BOM and same recipe for all three versions. All three versions are with same lot size and date validity. when i do cost running which version will be considerd by system as default? is frist version? if it is frist version what seeting is required to pick req version to consider for costing?
    sree

the system considers the first available active production version as its default costing version for a period cost.
alternatively if u want to select another version you would have to lock the other ones.
    eg:
if you want the 2nd one selected than mark the 1st production version as Locked for any Usage from C223.
than the system would pick Version 2.
same is true for the 3rd one, the first two versions would have to be locked.

  • Is subtotal values considered for Cumulation

    Dear All,
I have a basic doubt in the pricing procedure.
For example we have a condition type PR00 and it has a value 1000.
Next to that, we have a Net value with the sub total 1 assigned. So obviously this also carries the value of 1000. And it is not statistical.
In this case, system will cumulate both the values right. If it cumulated, our calculation is wrong. Either system should consider the value in PR00 or in Net value.
How system is managing these kind of things.
    Please explain.

System does not add up the price and subtotal because of the logic of calculation mentioned in pricing procedure.
    For example if
    Step 10 - PR00
    Step 20 - Subtotal (from 10 to 19)
Then for further calculations you give from as 20 but not 10. So that value is not considered.
If subtotal is used then - it is considered as the basis for further calculations, generally.
And for Net Value (for the document) - the value is considered for the condition types based on their condition class (price, discount/surcharge). Subtotal has no condition type and cond. class.
And Subtotal 1 helps the value to populate into item tables (VBAP, VBRP)
    Thanks

  • Demantra - history period to be considered for forecast ???

In the current system I have 5 years of history sales data - but for my forecast I need to consider data only for the last 3 years.
Are "history length" and "start date" are the only parameters which decide the history length or is there any other parameter also considered in deciding the length of history to be considered for forecast generation.
    Appreciate your response.

  • Pharma: shelf life with remaining 4 months should not be considered for planning

    Hi,
Implementation in Pharma : FG Shelf life with remaining 4 months should not be considered for FG planning.
How to exclude this stock while planning for FG. FG planning is Make to stock.
    BR
    Subbu.

    Hi,
Thanks to Caetano, Kumar & Mani..
We have achieved this with below with customized program....
Exclude those batches from MRP run whose difference between the (expiration date &
current date ) is less than or equal to its procurement time mention in MRP-2
    view of material master.
Before running MRP, one need to execute the program with following option:
Input data will be plant, material type or list of material:
       System should execute following logic:
    1) In a plant list all material with given material type
    2) Execute the BAPI for find out the characteristic value of EXB_MRP from class
    type 001of material class (BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL_KEY)
    3) If EXB_MRP = Y , then list out all such material.
    4) For such a material identity those batches which are available in stock other
    than ‘9999’
    5) All such batches characteristic of shelf life expiry date need to be derived
    from BAPI
    6) Calculate ( Expiry Date  - Today’s Date)
    = Difference
    PLIFZ  ), batch of
the material will be transferred to the 9999 storage location which will be
    excluded from MRP run.
PLIFZ  ), batch of the material will be transferred
to the 9999 storage location which will be excluded from MRP run.
       7) Run the MRP on materials
       8) Transfer posting from 9999 storage location to original storage location :
    Selection criteria
On execution transfer the material back to required storage location.

  • RESERVED QUANTITY'S SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR TRANSFER POSTINGS

    Dear Gurus,
Reserved quantity's should not be considered for Transfer postings to subcontractor or Stock transfers.
Example:  Material  XYZ    Total Stock =  1200 nos.

as per standard SAP reservation quantity will not stop the goods issue. resevation has no control on stock issue.
    Try with abap development.

  • RESERVATION QUANTITY SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR TRANSFER POSTINGS

    Dear Gurus,
Reservation Quantity should not be considered for Stock Transfers or Transfer postings to Sub contractor.
    movement type : 541 & 641
Example :  Total Stock = 1200 nos.        Reserved stock for production order = 1000 nos.
Currently our system allows stock transfers/transfer postings for reserved quantity also.
But we want the reserved quantity to be blocked and only free stock should be allowed for transfer postings.
    (i.e  1200 - 1000 = 200 nos  .     Only 200 nos should be allowed for transfer postings)
    Please suggest.

as per standard SAP reservation quantity will not stop the goods issue. resevation has no control on stock issue.

  • Parameters to be considered for tuning the QUERY Performance.

    Hi Guys
I wanted to identify the Query which is taking more resources through the Dynamic performance views and not through OEM.I wanter to tune the Query.
Please suggest me on this. Also i wanted to know what are all the parameters to be considered for tuning a query like Query execution time, I/O Hits, Library cache hits, etc and from which performance view these paramaters can be taken. I also wanted to know how to find the size of library cache and how much queries can be holded in a library cache and what will be the retention of queries in library cache and how to retrive the queries from Library cache.
    Thanks a lot
    Edited by: user448837 on Sep 23, 2008 9:24 PM

Hmm there is a parameter called makemyquery=super_fast, check that ;-).
Ok jokes apart, your question is like asking a doctor that when a person is sick than how to troubleshoot his sickeness? So does a doctor start giving medicine immediately? No right? He has to check some symptoms of the patient. The same is applicable to the query also. There is no view as such which would tell you the performance of the query ie it is good or bad. Tell me if a query is taking up 5 minutes and I come and tell you this, what would you say its good or bad or the query took this much CPU time what would you say, its too much or too less? I am sure your answers would be "it depends". That's the key point.
The supermost point in the performance check is two things, one the plan of the query. What kind of plan optimizer took for the query and whether it was really good or not? There are millions os ways to do som ething but the idea is to do it in the best way. That's what the idea of reading explain plan. I would suggest get your self familiar with explain plan's various paths and their pros and cons. Also about the query's charectristics, you can check V$sql, v$sqlarea , V$sql_text views.
Your other question that you want to check the size of the library cache , its contents and the retention, I would say that its all internally managed. You never size library cache but shared pool only. Similary the best bet for a dba/developer is to check the queries are mostly shareable and there wont be any duplicate sqls. So the cursor_sharing parameter can be used for this. The control is not given to us to manage the rentention or the flushing of the queries from the cache.

  • Sales Order is not consider for MRP in MRP Type PD and Strategy 40

Sales Order quantity is not consider for net requirement calculating in MRP.
My MRP Type is PD and Strategy 40.
Also in MD04 Sales order is not appearing.

    Dear,
Requirements to MD04 will flow based on the settings you maintain in OVZ9 for the combination of "Availability Check" and "Checking Rule". Here whatever fields you choose under the tab "In/outward movements", that will be considered.
It may be because of Requirement type Missing at schedule line category level . In MD04 requirement are pass on Either Individually or collectively . In Case of Individual each schedule line create one entry in MD04 ( Stock Requirement list)
So check the materail master for checking group is maintain or not?
    Please refer this thread also,
Re: Sale order not reflecting in MD04
After that run MRP again and check the result.
