Photomerge Panorama unavailable in Elements 13
Photomerge Panorama option is greyed out in Elements 13 as are some file menu options such as automation tools. How can I fix this?
Have you tried going to:
Enhance >> Photomerge >> Photomerge Panorama
You need to be in Expert mode to get this. I don't have PSE13 (trial expired about two weeks ago ) but this is what used to be in and 12. -
How to run photomerge panorama in ps elements 10
When starting photomerge-panorama in ps elements 10 the program shuts down itself with the notification that is does not work anymore. All other photomerge functions however are working fine.
What to do?Hi,
The version of Camera Raw that you reported should support the S100 CR2 images.
If you load the editor, go to the File menu and select Open, then point to the file, are you saying that it displays the error message?
Have you tried opening the file with Canon's Zoombrowser?
Which operating system are you running on?

I am trying to create a panorama. When I enter FILE > NEW > the Photomere panorama option does not appear. the only options are Blank file and file from clipboard. This is in Elements 11 on Windows 8.1 OS. How do I get Photomerge Panorama to appear.
Since PSE11, you access the photomerge option in the 'Enhance' menu, last option. Or you can use the organizer (menu Edit / Photomerge).

Using the photomerge panorama function in Elements 10
I have just installed Elements 10 and when trying to use the Photomerge Panorama function the whole programme shuts down. I have tried re-installing the programme and the problem is still there. I have tried using the instructions fron The Dummies handbook but the problem persists.
I've moved your question to the Photoshop Elements forum to get the best results.

Nothing happens when I use Photomerge Panorama in Photoshop Elements 6
Hi,
When I select files to merge in Photomerge and click on OK, Photoshop seems to work for some seconds, and that's all!
Do You know this problem?
Thanks for all hint
AloohaA number of people have reported Photomerge failing with this error message (in English versions):
Error 1; unable to create window
-Internal error
Line; 364
If you're seeing something similar in German, the only thing that's been reported to work sometimes is to uninstall/reinstall, in what Adobe calls "simplified mode" (with background services, including anti-virus) disabled:
http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshopelements-6-7-faq.htm#Try_Adobes_generic_troub leshooting
The Read Me for PSE 6 says:
Photomerge Panorama: If you receive out of memory errors when trying to make a panorama, resize each of the photos to a smaller size, then retry the command. If you run into out of memory errors when saving a panorama, try flattening the file (use the Layer>Flatten Image command), or save the panorama in the smaller, JPEG format.
Finally, this tech note for Photoshop CS3 probably applies to PSE as well:

Both elements 9 and elements 122 trial version will not photomerge panorama on my new Toshiba laptop
Both elements 9 and the trial version of elements 12 will not allow me to use photomerge panorama. With elements 12 it is shown in grey on the drop down menu
Are you using Windows 8? You may need to enable DirectPlay under legacy features in 8.1. from the Windows Control panel
Control panel >> Programs >> Programs and Features
Click on: Turn windows features on or off.
N.B. Microsoft does not recommend turning on legacy features in Windows 8 which they say may impair performance but others have found this to work. -
How to find Photomerge Panorama in Elememts 12
On the Elements help screen at http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/using/stitching-together-panoramas.html, which I reached by searching on how to stitch images, I am instructed to select "File > Open > Photomerge Panorama". But in my new Elements 12, there is no "Photomerge Panorama" option, or anything like, under File > Open. Does it no longer exist? If not, How can I find it?
It'smoved.

PROBLEM WITH PHOTOMERGE PANORAMA IN PSE 12
whenever I try to use photomerge panorama in photoshop elements , i get an error message :Error 48: File or folder does not exist. line :41. i have been trying for few days after retsarting my laptop and also updating the PSE 12
This means that the photomerege function is having difficulty reading the required scripts to run. Have you made any changes to PSE or installed any add-on's that may have affected the presets?
I think the best thing to do is to uninstall Elements and then re-install again. -

Photomerge panorama not working in elements 11
Hi:
I cannot make the photomerge panorama function work in elements 11. It simply
generates the standard Window 7 error message and when it can't find a solution
the program closes. In previous versions ( 9 and 10) it always worked and never
caused a problem.
Attempting to rebuild the preferences file as suggested for a similar problem affecting
earlier versions was also done but to no avail. Its a function I use quite frequently so
until it is resolved I will keep using version 10.
Anyone have a solution for this anomaly??
MichaelThe error message pops up right away and is generated by Windows not PSE. The java script that generates the familiar combo box that gives you the various panorama options for merging doesn't even have a chance to get started. The scripting support plugin is in Photoshop Elements 11>Required>Plug-Ins>Automate. This location is a change from the previous versions.
Thank you

Elements 12 photomerge-Panorama
When selecting Photomerge Panorama in Elements 12, program crashes with error message "editor 12 has stopped working".
Was working fine until last week then suddenly this started happening every time I attempt to run Panorama. Other Photomerge functions appear to be working okay, just a problem with Panorama.
Using Dell 8700 system running windows 8.1 in 64 bit mode. Have 24GB memory and lot of empty disc space.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Brian84790Why is Adobe continuing to ignore the many forum threads inquiring about this same problem? IMO, this issue continuing year-after-year represents irresponsible decision-making on the part of their Change Control Board / maintenance management, for such a fundamental operation as photo-stitching.
In particular, when the same two images can be merged successfully using any of a number of separate photo-stitch apps from other vendors, yet crashes Adobe Photoshop, then ipso facto, where do YOU think the blame lies?
In my opinion as a software programmer, an attempt to perform such a basic operation as merging two images, regardless of their size, should NOT cause a frickin' crash. Programmatically, this speaks to (a) poor memory management, and (b) terrible error-detection/handling/reporting.
This problem continues with the latest OS updates, the latest driver updates, the latest Adobe Photoshop updates/versions ... Crashing Adobe Photoshop is an unacceptable outcome for such a fundamental operation, even if one is working with photos that are truly of larger-than-normal size. It's COMPLETELY inexcusable when the images in question are of standard sizes produced by current-day camera technology. The workaround of resizing the original photos is an unacceptable option for someone who is attempting to maximize a print size without resolution loss. -

By several accounts in those forum threads, this problem continues with the latest OS updates, the latest driver updates, the latest Adobe Photoshop updates/versions, more-than-adequate RAM, more-than-adequate disk space, etc., etc., etc. ...
