No PhotoStream on Apple TV?

Hi guys I bought an Apple TV today and I updated to 5.1 but on both (Past and current) OS I couldn't find PhotoStream, even in screen saver when I choose photostream az my screen saver still it shows National Geographic pictures. I already signed into my accounts but there is no photostream icon at home.

I had a similar problem, but when I agreed the new terms and conditions I could see the stream, but attempting to set it as screen saver still gave me National Geographic annoying!

  • Photostream in Apple TV

I have 2nd gen Apple TV and Verizon wireless/internet.  I use my photo stream as the screen saver, but I keep losing the photos.  I can retrieve them by signing out of ICloud and then signing back in, but it's a pain to keep doing that.  How can I keep the photos in photo stream from disappearing on the Apple TV?

That's what I did, but the pics stayed on Apple tv. The photos i had taken on my iphone got into photostream.
There were pics I didn't want on Apple tV in the screen saver photostream so I signed into icloud.com and did the reset then went to my iphone and turned off photostream and chose delete photos and did the same with my ipad. Then I went to apple tv and sure enough there they are. The soulution is to turn off and delete on your ipod and ipad but apple tv has no such capability. This must be an apple problem I hope gets fixed.
    Thanks for all your help

  • TS4425 Photostream on Apple TV  stopped working after 5.1 upgrade

I recently upgraded to 5.1 on my Apple TV.  Photostream in no longer working.  I was directed to accept the terms and conditions on my PC.  When I log into Icloud on my PC, I don't receive any prompt to accept the Terms & Conditions.  How do I access this screen if it doesn't open on its own??

Same problem. I just installed a new AppleTV, updated the software before I started using it. PhotoStream needs Terms of Service updated for iCloud. From iMac or iPad there is no need for updated.

  • Cannot open videos on shared photostream using apple devices

All members  of our shared photostream are unable to open posted videos. Pictures are present.  This affects only those using Apple devices, i.e. iPhones & iPads all models.  People who are viewing the photostream on a Windows device are able to see the videos.

Just started having this issue as well!
I can view the shared videos in iPhoto via my iMac but not a single one of my iOS devices will play the videos.

  • How do I play video from photostream on apple TV?

PhotoStream is now available on my applet TV and the notes on the upgrade said I could play video from my Photo Stream.  However the Photo Stream on the apple TV only presents photos for viewing.  Any idea on how to get it to show my videos?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Unfortunately that's not possible.

  • Failed to login iCloud-PhotoStream after Apple TV3 upgraded to 6.0

After updating my OS on my Apple tv today, I am unable to sign into my iCloud ID on my apple tv. It lets me put the password in, takes me to the Terms and Agreements page, I click "Agree" and nothing happens, i just keep staying on the Terms and Agreements page. I"ve restored and restarted my Apple TV....I've signed in and out...my iTunes on my apple TV is using a different account but that wasn't a problem before the OS update. I've tried signing into iCloud using the other apple ID (the one from iTunes) and there's no problem there - I click Agree and it takes me to iCloud (only problem I have no photos on that iCloud account - why isn't the original iCLoud ID working? I can log in no problem on my other devices to it.... Any advice??????

I had the same problem. I have solved it this way:
After the Update the "Country" in the Settings was set to "USA", but i'm a german user with. So i changed it back to Germany in the Settings and voila ... I can accept the terms and Photostream is working again
You should change the Country (regional settings?) to your country and then log into the iCloud.
    Hope it helps.

  • Trying to open Photostream via Apple TV - it says Terms of Service have changed - but I go to /support/icloud and can no place to agree to new terms of service

I'm trying to open Photostream on AppleTV; the screen says Terms of Service have changed and go to /support/icloud.  I go there but can find no place to see the new terms of service and/or agree to them.

Go to You Tube and Watch How to Tech Video (h2tech) and there is a video that says "How to Connect Your Photostream.
I am getting that same comment about the terms of service have changed blah blah blah.
The second option you see that says use different account.  Try your icloud/photostream user id and password - should be the same as your main one.  At least mine is.
Anyway, try checking out the UTube videos...  Hope this helps.  I know how FRUSTRATING this stuff can be.  : )

  • Photostream photos out of order on Apple TV

I just installed my new Apple TV and ran the software update. I then set it up to connect with Photostream using my Apple account, and my photos started appearing. So far, so good!
Then I discovered a couple of serious bugs:
    1) My iPhone and iPad (both running iOS 6) both show 529 photos in my Photostream.  The Apple TV only shows 144 photos.  Both the first and last photo in my stream show up on the Apple TV.  All the missing photos seem to be somewhat scattered throughout the middle of the stream.
    2) The order of the photos in on the Apple TV doesn't have any logic to it.  On the iOS devices they are arranged by date, but on the Apple TV it's a complete jumble.  Photos taken weeks apart are right next to each other, and photos taken on the same day are separated by dozens of other photos taken at different times.
Anyone have any idea what's going on or how to fix it???  Thanks!

Good to know that someone else is having this issue.  After several weeks of trying to use this feature I have given up.  There doesn't seem to be any correlation between what's on my Photostream on iOS devices (I have three and they all show identical Photostream content) and my new Apple TV which just randomizes the content.
I have discovered one interesting thing.  Although the photos that show up in my automatic Photostream on Apple TV continue to be randomized, shared Photostreams that I have created seem to behave as they should.  What shows up on my iOS devices matches what is on Apple TV and in the correct order.

  • No photos in Photostream, but 3rd party apps show that the photos are there

I am having a problem, not sure where to post it. Here is what is happening:
    1. Take a photo with iPhone 4
    2. Syncs to great up until last night
    3. Last night I brought a photo into Nik's Snapseed app on my iPad (import from Photostream)
    4. Now, my synced Photostream shows up on my Iphone 4, iPhoto, but the Photostream album on my iPad shows no photos.
    5. However, the photos are there on the iPad, because if I use a photo editor app and import (again, like Snapseed), the photos are there and I can import. But the Apple's Photo app the album shows no photos.
Very strange....I think this has to be a bug.
Apple really needs to think about real use of Photostream. The concept is great...but I have to admit it is buggy. Adobe Carousel app, when it is released, looks ideal.
Apple, why can we not delete 1 photo (rather than the whole Photostream)?
Apple, is this a bug that we cannot import into other apps because it then blanks out our Photostream?
Apple, why do new photos from my Camera app go to my camera roll and Photostream...workflow of editing and sharing photos is very messy this way with duplicate photos.
I am not sure how I am suppose to get my photostream to show up again on my iPad. I have tried resetting my photostream, hard reset my iPad, nothing works.

Exactly the same problem here too. Its bug, because I see my photostream with a 3rd party app like PS Express.

  • Slides play out of order on Apple TV

My sides are in a fixed order in my windows file. When they play on Apple TV through Home share, they are in some random order. Several others have had this problem. Is there a solution?

  • Removing images from Apple TV

How do you remove cached images from your Apple TV library? Home sharing is on; we have library's on our computer but old images remain on the Apple TV.

I have an iPad and Apple TV with Photostream used on both. I tried deleting photos from Photostream (on the iPad) and some still remain (most did delete).
In order to clear Photostream, I completely eliminated it from the iPad and turned it off. I signed off Photostream on Apple TV and restarted it. Even though the photos originated on the iPad and it's been completely deleted from there and completely turned off there ... they still show up on Apple TV.
I restored Apple TV back to factory state and it reloaded the software update. After all that (and with no Photostream on the iPad) Apple TV still, somehow, gets all the old photos (including some of the prior deleted ones) when it should be getting none at all. Photostream has been "on" nowhere at all.
I don't seem to be even able to get rid of all the pictures in Photostream, no matter what I do!

  • Unable to upload photos manually to photostream

I have an Apple TV and a iPhone 4S. My goal is view pictures on Applet TV not only just from iPhone but from my SLR camer a as well. I also dont want every picture that I take on my iPhone to be uplaoded to Photostream. Reading at various answers in thei forums, I beleive I cannot acheive that (to stop the automatic uplaod to photostream). So I have to shut off Photostream (Unchecked the option in Settings for both Photostream and Shared Photostream). Initially, i used a lot of unwanted photos and I deleted all of them when the Photostream was unchecked.
I decided to manually upload my pictures via iCloud control panel (2.0). I signed in to my account in the control panel and selected a folder to be used for Photostream. I copied 100 pictures in that folder and my assumption is that they should show up on the Photostream on Apple TV. I dont see them. Is there a way to only uplaod pictures via iCloud control panel without turning on the Photostream on the iOs device. Thanks in advance.

I presume this is a known issue and i just need to keep researching.

  • Apple TV2 (OK, I) Incorrectly ID'd Wrong Email Add as iCloud

I wanted to access Photostream on Apple TV.  The Apple TV assumed that the email address that I use for my ITunes ID would be my iCloud ID so it diplayed that and before i could think I'd clicked.  Now Apple TV (and Apple) thinks I have another iCloud account, which i have NOT set up.
Is there a way to undo this so I can associate my actual iCloud account?

Sorry, Figured it out myself.  Turn off Photstream in Apple TV, go back in a few minutes and it asks if you want to turn it on or use another ID.
