No pictures of bottom of Ipnone4

Anyone else notice there are no pictures of the bottom of the new Iphone 4? Anywhere. Is it because Apple has changed the power supply cord so your old Iphone and Ipod chargers, and car chargers, no longer work on the new Iphone 4? Just a hunch.

The 30pin remains the same as 3GS and all iPods. 3G and third parties comes with larger plugs but still 30pin.
The dock connector changed from the u shape to straight flat. So you would need to buy a new apple dock connector. Not sure if the tomtom and a few other docks work still.

HT4623 I screwed up. I was trying to SYNC and something (error msg) happened. I tried to continue the SYNC and now my IPhone is dead. All I can get when I turn it on is a picture, from bottom to top, I have an WSB connector, an up arrow, and an iTunes

It's telling you to connect to ITunes and restore your phone. This will have to be done with a USB cable and iphone connector that came with your charger.

FIOS TV - Half Picture clear, bottom half snowy

I recently had my FIOS tv installed (June 7) and some times when I turn on the tv in my bedroom, I only get a half screen picture (usually the top half) and the bottom half of the screen is snowy. This usually happens when I try to use the On Demand features but today it's been happening when I turn on the tv. I tried turning the power on and off and unplugging the HDMI cable... sometimes this works but today it isn't.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Dont bother with the BBB. Most of the complaints that I've issued about companies I had issues with fell on deaf ears via the BBB. The BBB is a waist of time, but if you look, Verizon has fewer complaints then the competitors. I just can't see what is the problem. Is this thread going anywhere, and how does it relate to Verizon? Seems like it should be in a directv forum. Like I said if you read the fine print and looked into the agreement with directv, you probably would have never gone down that road. I know I didn't, and waited for Verizon to get TV service to upgrade. With a cable company you can complain to the public service commission for your state or the local franchise office for cable, but with DTV you would need to go with the FCC. One of the benefits with DTV is no state or local franchise taxes. But who do you go to, the FCC? If the fine print stated the terms, than your in a jamb. Send the box back pay the termination fees and or bite the bullet.

Pictures are overlapping in photo library. When I double click the picture the bottom (correct picture) shows.

Sounds like corrupted thumbnails. First try this: Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4.
3 - if that doesn't fix the problem rerun with Option #2. It might take more than one attempt.

Not sure what i did,,, but in i photo my large view of pic is black but you can see the picture is there becuase of the tags - so when i click on the little picture at bottom it use to show up big , now its black

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/ Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help: As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Pictures display then turn black after reload or switching tabs

Images on web pages load initially (usually) but then some turn black if the page is reloaded or if switching between tabs. Will also happen with pictures at bottom of pages on initial load. Sometimes the pictures will display normally again after scrolling, but not always. Happens when single tab is open, multiple tabs are open, and both in and out of private mode. Started in version 34 or 35, still happening in 36.

Correction: desktop version works for new reply but not when editing a reply.

How can I change the look so it doesn't look like java? pictures included.

Hello everyone.
I made this JPanel in netbeans, and I clicked preview, and it looked very nice. I then copied and pasted that code into Eclipse IDE and ran it. When I ran it, everything lined up the same but it didn't look as good, it looked like Java (not saying I don't like Java but I would like to make it have a different look.)
Is there a way to make it look like it did in the NetBeans preview?

Any ideas how I can make take over the theme of the Operating system? (So if its windows, it looks like windows).

Bug When Viewing Pictures

Hi,
I have an iPhone 4s and have noted a number of bugs that Ive never had with an iPhone before. Nonetheless, they are easily lived with and I am sure they will be addressed via future updates. However, one issue is with viewing the photos in my Photo Album and Im a little more concerned about this as I dont want to loose pictures.
If I access my photos via the Photos App (App with flower logo) I can clearly scroll through them as would be expected. However, if I access photos via the camera app, i.e I take a picture, click on picture on bottom left, then select camera roll, I note I can view ALL / PHOTOS / VIDEOS etc which is normal. However, I have recently realised I have many more photos available whilst viewing via this method instead of via the Photos App. Therefore the two are not in sync.
Is this normal? I only ask as I am worried there is a bug and I dont want to loose pictures etc. As it stands I would like to be able to view all the pictures on my phone via the Photos App and I would have expected this to be the norm.
Any advice is welcomed

As far as the photo app, you would have to direct your concern to the apps developer. I would suggest reading the reviews from other user and see if they have similar problems.

Adding timestamp to be burned into picture

Fore some reasons I need to burn into pictures (right bottom corner) a date and time of pictures when they be takened.
Is it possible to do this in Aperture? Maybe not but is some plugin for this?

Didn't realize there was an update for BrderFX so I figured I give it a try.
While playing around with it discovered that you can get the date formatter that you use to get with the gear wheel by double clicking the date in the metadata box on the image.

SL, mail and sending pictures

Since I got a new mac with snow leopard sending pictures have been acting weird. When I attach a picture the large size is as big as the medium. And most of the time the receiver only gets half the picture and bottom half is gray. I've re saved and sent it several different ways and after 3-4 tries it might work at the receiving end. WHAT'S UP??

Verizon used to be known to have some problems with MTU (maximum transmission unit), and this results when the computer sends larger packets of info, too quickly for the way the connection is set up. This might be an issue with MTU (maximum transmission unit). See the following support document for methods of diagnosing this:

If lowering the MTU manually works, then we can look for other ways to fully accomplish the correct balance, which might include shutting down modem, router, and other elements of the network and then repowering.
I have not seen the problem with MTU and Snow Leopard, but did with some people and Leopard. But your change of ISP makes it a good idea to investigate this.

Images are not loading - but work in Preview mode

I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm kind of new to Dreamweaver and I can't seem to figure this out on my own.
I'm using Dreamweaver 8. I developed a web page based on a template in which everything works perfectly in "Preview" mode on all browsers. But when I uploaded the files to my remote hosting, the template based images (found in the "images" folder) are not loading on the page. The images that I added to the template myself, found in the same "images" folder ($200,000 in ..., and picture at bottom) are loading. So some of the images in the images folder are loading some are not.
I've checked the Images folder on the remote site, and they all seem to be there. I've also checked for broken links, and I'm not getting any (I don't know if that would help w/ missing images or not, but I'm trying everything I can think of). I also checked to see if there is a separate CSS style sheet, and there wasn't one supplied with the template (there is some CSS info in the code on the html page). The image sizes are all small enough as well. Can anyone help me with this?

Your Web server is running on an operating system that is case-sensitive. You appear to have uploaded an Images folder, but not an images folder.
You do not have a file here:
images/squeeze-video_425x344_r9_c6.jpg
But you do have a file here:
Images/squeeze-video_425x344_r9_c6.jpg
So you'll need to either change all your image/<whatever> links to point to Images/<whatever>, or upload another folder named images.
Or, if you want to use a single folder, and if your local file system is not case-sensitive, you might be able to do it in DW's file panel. Here is a method that you might use to have all of them in a folder named images.
BACK UP YOUR SITE FILES
Rename Images to Foo (allow DW to update links)
Rename Foo to images (allow DW to update links)
Upload the images folder and any/all files that DW changed
Delete the online Images folder

Tecra A11 - Video/Latest BIOS issues

Hello All,
I just received a Toshiba Tecra A11 the other day which is out of warranty (Refurb). When I got the laptop there was an issue where the picture was displayed at 1024x768 and off centre (In BIOS). The image was 1-2cm off screen to the left, with about 5-6cm black space to the right of the picture, the bottom 2-3 cm's of the picture were also off the bottom of the screen.
I installed Ubuntu Studio initially and attempted to force the display to a widescreen resolution. I didn't have any luck, I also installed Win7 but still with the latest drivers I had no luck.
This was strange because BIOS was displayed the same way so naturally I decided to upgrade to the latest BIOS version. The BIOS on the laptop was quite old (End of 2009).
I downloaded the BIOS update from Toshiba's web site, and ran the update.
The new BIOS was installed and the machine rebooted.
However there was no picture displayed on the LCD panel, windows did successfully boot, if I connect an external monitor to the laptop I get picture. When starting the laptop the LCD backlight does light up.
My question is: What can I do to resolve this issue? Is there a BIOS recovery or downgrade tool available? Is it possible to reflash the bios? What is recommended?

Does this mean that everything is ok using external monitor?
Can you access the BIOS pressing F2 and can you set it to default settings?
Usually you can switch between external and internal display using the key combination FN + F5. Does it work?

How can you get rid of the stripe on the homescreen created in ios 7?

I found this question some months ago, but no one had a method to resolve it.
I wanted to remove the solid stripe across the bottom of my ipad 4 homescreen. I think it's been called an app park, a shelf, and an applications easy access. Whatever it is, I really hate it. I like a solid black screen. There was a transparency to the old ios---I have on my iphone because I didn't update it to 7 when I found out it did this. This one is solid and grey! Really ugly. Is there any way to get rid of it, make it transparent, or at least minimize it?

Hi again. Well, it isn't death-defying or anything. And it isn't only because I CAN'T customize it and that burns me. It wastes my desktop space because I don't use it. When you are visually impaired---real estate on the desktop is pretty important. I usually have a black screen to see the icons better, but if I have a picture---the bottom is chopped off with this ugly gray stripe. The old 6.0.3 had the shelf, but it was transparent. It didn't bother me. This one does. That simple. I thought I saw instructions to at least change the color or something somewhere, but that was when it was new, and I can't find that again anywhere online. I guess everyone else got on board (moo), and I'm the only one left that still hates it.
I know these things are supposed to be updates, but I think Apple missed the boat on this one and screwed up a good thing. Maybe they fixed it in 7.4? (wishful) Anyway, I'm not even offered that IOS. Mine is still asking me to update to 7.1. I guess you have to update in order? I'm working in 7.0.4; that's the IOS that came with the unit in December.

Bug in Bridge CS6: Orientation tag not always properly interpreted

The Orientation flag in the EXIF metadata can assume eight different integer values with their meanings defined as follows:
1: frame's 1st pixel row = picture's top; frame's 1st pixel col = picture's left
2: frame's 1st pixel row = picture's top; frame's 1st pixel col = picture's right
3: frame's 1st pixel row = picture's bottom; frame's 1st pixel col = picture's right
4: frame's 1st pixel row = picture's bottom; frame's 1st pixel col = picture's left
5: frame's 1st pixel row = picture's left; frame's 1st pixel col = picture's top
6: frame's 1st pixel row = picture's right; frame's 1st pixel col = picture's top
7: frame's 1st pixel row = picture's right; frame's 1st pixel col = picture's bottom
8: frame's 1st pixel row = picture's left; frame's 1st pixel col = picture's bottom
The values in bold typeface (1, 3, 6, 8) are pure rotations only; they are properly interpreted in Bridge CS6 Beta. The values in regular typeface (2, 4, 5, 7) are rotations plus mirrorings; they are properly interpreted in Bridge's Content pane, i. e. where the thumbnails are. In the Preview pane, however, the display is wrong, reflecting the rotations only but not the mirrorings. When opening a mirrored picture in Camera Raw 7.0 or Photoshop CS6 Beta, it will show up correctly again (i. e. with the orientation tag properly applied), so only Bridge's Preview pane is affected, apparently.
By the way, the same bug also is present in Bridge CS5 (and maybe in earlier versions, too, but I didn't check).

Result: In the regular keyword list (dc:subject), the updated keywords appear as expected. In the hierarchical keyword list (lr:hierarchicalSubject), however, the keywords appear as originally imported, ignoring all the subsequent changes. So now dc:subject and lr:hierarchicalSubject are inconsistent.
Not sure I do understand your method correctly but to my knowledge the import and export functions for file info and Keywords are meant for the whole template or the whole keyword list.
If you open a file and start removing and adding you should do so in your keyword list. But how you changed is not very clear to me.
When a keyword is in italic it means it is not persistent and with right click menu you can do so to add it to the list. If you remove a keyword that in your list has a sub keyword it does not automatically change in a parent keyword.
