Hi all !
I got a lil' problem with my iPod video 60 GB taht's borring me !
On iTunes when i play a music for exemple : Fort Minor - Slip out the back i have the picture of the album on the Left bottom corner but when i put this music on my iPod and when i play it there is no picture on !
Do you have a solution please ?
Thanks before !

Hey u know what that usually happens when you add ARTWORK to the songs that are already in the Ipod.
Try the following steps:
1)First thing that you need to do is delete the song from the Ipod as well as the Itunes Libray, but make sure that u have the back up of the song else u know...hehe
2)Now add the song again to the Itunes Library.
3)Add the ARTWORK to the song now.
4)Now add the song to the Ipod. And see the magic.
Hope this helped let me know.

One weird thing: the drive never mounts on the desktop, the only way I can see it is to click on the TC in 'shared devices' in finder sidebar.
That's normal. A network drive won't mount by itself. You may want to add the drive to your login items and/or the login items of your boy's account.
He came over to update his iPod tonight. Now the library is inaccessible. It says that his account is not authorized for the folder.
Is that a USB drive? How have you defined access to that drive in AirPort Utility? If you set it to "Secure Shared Disks" "With accounts", you'll have to add his account.

  • When I put my 4th gen iPod Touch in my iPod dock it makes the sound and charges but when I play music it is silent. Help?

The volume slider at the bottom disappears, so it is connected and my iPod dock will play music on my old 4th Gen iPod Touch. My new iPod will play fine through headphones, the internal speaker and one other iPod dock I have tried. I have restarted it (home and lock keys), reset and backed it up and this problem existed when it was on iOS6 (have updated it to iOS6.1 - problem still exists). Any help or suggestions welcome!!

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
However, sometimes an iOS update will break conpatibility and you will have to wair for an update to either the iOS or the dock firmware.

  • Hi, Im having trouble with my Iphones sounds, it wont let me listen to music, watch videos, notify me if i get a text, basically everything that makes a sound is no longer working. The volume level you get when you play music isnt there, HELP?!

Hi, basically i have no sound at all on my Iphone, it doent notify me when i get a text, when someone rings, when i play music or watch videos, the volume slider that is usually present while watching videos or listening to music is no longer there at all, ive turned my phone on and off a couple of times now ive put headphones in and out to see if i had a sticky jack but still no luck Someone help??

And to clarify, these are all iTunes movie and music downloads, so there should not be a compatability issue. And no, the iPod did not come damaged from Apple, it was a hand-me-down from a friend who busted the internal speaker. But it's never done anything like this before. It just had crappy sound. And yes, the timing of the movies and music having issues is the same as the speaker dying. And no, this has NOTHING To do with music videos. I don't have any on any of our devices.

  • IPod Touch wont play music or connet to iTunes!

My ipod touch wont play music through the headphones or docking station, it only plays music through the actual iPod and it isnt found when i connect to itunes, help!

    - Try here for getting iTunes to see the iPOd:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - Try resetting for the other problem:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - The try restoring, first from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • How do I prevent itunes from moving my music from its original place ie folders in an external drive when I play music from itunes. I have all my music in artist folders and separated by MPG3/MPG4 and FLAC folder within the artist folder.

How do I prevent itunes from moving my music from its original place ie folders in an external drive when I play music from itunes. I have all my music in artist folders and separated by MPG3/MPG4 and FLAC folders within the artist folder and itunes moves the track/s whenever i try and load selected music to my ipod/iphone. I've tried to find some sort of preference to prevent this, but no joy? What am I missing?

Try opening iTunes preferences. Then click on advanced tab. Then uncheck "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library." By default, iTunes copies music to its own media folder when you use iTunes to play the music.

  • Why cant my ipod touch 4g play music with headphones?

my ipod is not playing music when i plug in headphones but it works when i dont have headphones..i need help

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

A third-party place like the following will replace the jack for less. Google for more.

  • Static when I play music

I set my Ipod mini to only update certain playlists when I plug it in and synchronize. Now when I play music (either through headphones or with my JBL speakers) I get static. I downloaded the updater and it didn't work. Why am I getting static and what can I do to make it stop?

"I downloaded the updater and it didn't work."
Simply downloading the updater to your computer will do nothing. You should use the updater to restore the iPod then reload the playlists etc from iTunes.

  • HI I have an Iphone 3GS and the microphone jack works when I play music but not when making phone calls.   please help as I use it for conference calls

Hi   I use my phone for conference calls and use the microphone jack to connect to speakers.      It doesnt work when making phone calls but when i play music on the phone the jack works with the external speaker.

Happy to have been of help. Hope all goes smoothly.
BTW, for the sake of others who may help you here, it's usually most polite if you mark the post that answered your question as being the one that "solves" it, not your own post. That's how people get points here, if a questioner marks their post as either "helpful" or "solving". It's not an issue for me, but for those just starting out in the forums it may be important to them. See:

  • My mac gets slow when I play music from my iTunes library

Hi, aproximately six months ago I noticed that everytime I play music from my iTunes library that its stored in my 27" iMac's hard drive, the computer gets slow, the images start to flicker, the animatios on the dock and the one when u minimize or maximaze the windows, also flicker. As soon as I close iTunes the computer works fine again. When I play music from a CD this doesn't happen.
I've taken the iMac to two service providers along theese 6 months and neighther have been able to fix the issue. What they have diagnozed is an issue with the hard drive which has been changed 4 times already.
    What could be the issue?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

  • My speakers when i play music go loud then quiet and i dont know why? what is wrong?

my speakers when i play music go loud then quiet and i dont know why? what is wrong?

Same with me nothing has changed. However what reduces it for me is if you change your battery settings to high performance. But it still does it, you will just find it will do it less.

  • I spilled some pop on the back of my iPad. I cleaned it off and everything seems to be going good but when I play music it will either play with no sound or play then continue with no sound. What can I do to fix this (without being costly, it's a iPad 2)

I spilled some pop on the back of my iPad. I cleaned it off and everything seems to be going good but when I play music it will either play with no sound or play then continue with no sound. What can I do to fix this (without being costly, it's a iPad 2) this happens with other music apps too. Please I need help!

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists. If it doesn't work, there isn;t much anyone here can do for you. It may be a physical problem with your speakers.

  • How do I turn off  all those visual effects when I play music?

I dont really want or need those special effects when I play music.(All that panning in or mirroring of the album artwork, sometimes it even switches sides!) I would even prefer to see the Artwork of the music being played, but perhaps just smaller and static on the moniter screen... All this beautifull technology is just wasted on me! How can I deactivate this feature?

Sorry to say you can't disable it.
The swinging artwork gets tedious after a few minutes - more relaxing to turn the TV off!
I generally set the album artwork screensaver to kick in after a few minutes - it's a more relaxed screensaver than the currently playing album effect, but some more options during playback would not go amiss, particularly an iTunes like visualiser.
I think on balance that's better than only having a static image option as there are risks of screen burn especially for plasma owners with static images (my LG LCD TV even gets image retention issues with satellite channel logos!)

    This should solve the problem
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
It will not erase any of your personal data, just reset the settings.
    Hope this helps.
