NO PLAYBACK AUDIO CONTROL FOR MIC IN REALTEK HD AUDIO MANAGER.

I have a l355d-s7825 laptop that I can not get my mic to playback through the speakers. I have attached two screen shots that show my computer is missing the volume slider and playback option under mic. I have the latest driver installed with no help. I would appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this issue. Thank you. Oops couldnt get the pics in the attachments....if you google Realtek HD Audio Manager under images you will find the pics im talking about.

I have the latest driver installed...
Sometimes those get corrupted. Did you reinstall?
Realtek Audio Driver for Windows Vista (32/64bit)
Did you try the Realtek control panel instead of the Windows one?

  • Flash audio controls is gone from the Windows audio mixer.

Flash audio controls is gone from the Windows audio mixer. The sound is, but I can not control it separately from the browser. Previously, there was a separate flash and a separate browser. When I use FF3. *. Flash Player audio option was, but the new FF versions do not. For me it was very comfortable and loved.
How can I repay such opportunity? and whether there is still a possibility?

Thank cor-el, but it did not help. I tried everything ( I installed it all over again, several times , clean cookies I'm using [[BetterPrivacy 1.68|BetterPrivacy 1.68]] add-ons clean cookies ... ), but the problem is not in the Flash Player to crash. It works. But I can not manage alone plugin container volume and alone audio browser.
I am not a programmer, so I do not know how I can change it yourself.
Maybe someone already has it done? I would be grateful if you divide.
Sorry for my bad English. Here's screen shot if I can not clearly say:

  • Create playback controls for Timeline in sync with audio?

    Hi All,
Technically, I've combined two questions into one. Firstly, can someone offer some insight on how to create playback controls for an Edge animation so the user can essentially "scrub" the timeline or navigate to a specific point on the timeline. I know you can create buttons to "sym.play()" different areas but I was wondering if there was a more streamlined solution (something similar to video playback controls.) Next, I'd like the user to be able to skip to different locations while the music remains in sync with the animations. I've created a few buttons to attempt to achieve this but the music plays independently regardless of where I jump to on the timeline.
Any help would be most appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

I had some ideas why that may be so, but then, when I thought about it, properly, i have no idea why it is that way. Maybe it is because audio has a higher priority than graphics, in OS X, but if I remember correctly, it was like this before OS X. Maybe there is an offset for latency compensation, but they made it too large. (it seems to be the same amount, no matter what the buffer size is)
just to make sure we are seeing the same thing. on my (somehat old) G4 I'm seeing about 60ms difference.

  • X220 Smart Audio Control Panel failed to initialize smart audio

Cannot seem to start Smart Audio control panel get error every time.  Currently running latest driver 8.32.23.2.  Can anybody please help?  I need to access the Smart Audio to control displayport audio settings.  Aside from that the audio seems to work fine.

Yes, this is what I thought also. But I don't think it does. It has the s-bracket JSP2 connector but it (s-bracket) doesnt work.
It really doesnt matter now though as you can see I listed it on ebay with my old cpu. I will likely buy me an EPoX 8RDA+. It outperforms the 6570 in performance and has all the bells and whistles.
MSI has some horrible customer service. However, I must admit you have been very responsive and helpful but, you are not live tech suport.
I do appreciate it nonetheless.  :D
I called their support long distance number and was on hold for about 45 minutes, off and on, and the last time I was on hold I put my phone on speakerphone and went in the other room. The guy came back on said, "hello sir? Hel..Click!" I didn't have time to say anything!  I was so pissed I wanted to take my motherboard back right then. He kept having to ask other people questions about my problem. It was just plain rediculous. That is just one of the reasons this motherbaord is on ebay. I about to put my MSI Geforce4 4600 vtd on ebay also because I dont want to have to deal with MSI CS.
Thank you again, for all your help

  • Audio filter for mic handling noise

I've putting a soundtrack over an edit but there seems to be some low rumble microphone handling noise at the end of the track. I want to know which filter would be best to look for the thumping noises and reduce them as much as possible?

A little help from you would be appreciated ... there are minimalist things needed for us other users to make at least informed guesses ...
Computer specs: OS/version, CPU, RAM, v-card, & etc. (yea, at times these matter)
Program specs: Precise version of which programs used ...
    Footage codecs/sequence settings ...
I might guess that sending it out to Audition might be your best bet, but don't have a clue whether you are CC or simply a single copy of CS6 version or whatnot ...

  • XPS 15 9530 audio only on left earphone Realtek HD audio

    Hi,
I have a problem with my XPS 15. I have been very happy with the laptop but now, the audio plays only through one of the headphones. I have tried updating the drivers and also tried different earphones and headsets.
    Please help me out
    Regards
    Karthik

Hello Karthik. I would like to make a few suggestions while waiting for a reply from Hema.
You said you have updated the audio driver so you should have the Realtek audio driver installed. Test by switching from the Realtek driver to the Windows native audio driver by following these steps:
    1. Open the Device Manager (Control Panel>Device Manager).
    2. Expand the "Sound, video & game controllers" and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
    3. Select to "Update Driver Software".
    4. Click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. Click "Let me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. Put a check in the box "Show compatible hardware" if not already checked.
    7. In the list of devices, click "High Definition Audio Device" (the native driver).
    8. Click "Next".
    9. On the Update Driver Warning box, click "Yes" (install the driver).
    10. Restart the laptop if prompted. If not prompted, then no need to restart.
[To get back to the Realtek driver,  do it again but reverse the names in steps 2 and 7.]
If the jack does work correctly with the native driver that would mean that the Realtek driver is buggy.
If the headphone jack does not work with the native driver then almost certainly a hardware failure. Dell will repair it if still under warranty. The only test that is more definitive is to reset the laptop back to the original factory configuration, but I wouldn't bother with that if it fails the native driver test.
If the warranty has expired you can get an inexpensive usb audio jack (google it) to replace your laptop's jack.

  • Line level audio set to mic level by mistake, audio distorted, help!

I mistakenly set my camera input to mic level instead of line level so the louder music from the concert is muddy.  I watched the waveform on my camera screen and didn't let it go into the red.  As I start to edit now I see that the waveform is fairly flat on the top of much of the audio and it doesn't sound great. None of it goes above 0db. Is there any techniques to make this sound better? I tried DeClippper but the scan does not show any problem because, I suppose it's under 0db.
I shot a great video but the audio s**ks.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
btw, I'm using Audition CS 6, ver 5.0.2  Build 5

Your problem here is that even though the recording level has been kept down, the preamp has overloaded, so what you have is a good recording of, er, distortion. Even if you made this recording clip, it wouldn't help you, as this distortion isn't clipping distortion at all, and has completely different characteristics. And I'm afraid that there's no such thing as undistortion software, regardless.
I think that you may well have to write this one off to experience, I'm afraid.

  • Hello!  I have an iMac that I lose the audio output for certain profiles.  The audio output will work on one profile, but when switching to another profile, I lose the audio output.  I've reset the NVRAM/PRAM and that hasn't solved the problem.  Help!

    Hello!
I have an iMac (running iOS 10.6.8, not upgraded to Lion) that I'm having audio issues with.  I have 5 profiles on this machine.  The audio output will work fine out of one profile, then when switched to another, the profile will not have any audio output at all.  Rebooting the machine will occasionally solve the problem.  Administrator permissions are not the issue since this has also manifested itself on the administrator profile. I've also reset the NVRAM/PRAM and that hasn't helped.  All my software is up to date and I recently upgraded the RAM to 2x2GB sticks.  This problem was existing prior to the RAM upgrade.
    Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance!

    Hi Tony,
    Long shot, but...
Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

  • Audio Update for 10.4.10, breaks audio

    Hello,
I've got a 1st gen MBP with a recently replaced motherboard. Until recently, I've had no sound problems with popping etc on my USB Soundsticks speakers.
However, I recently installed the Audio Update 2007-001 (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305840)
Ever since installing this, I am noticing that there is now plenty of "popping" and general sound quirks coming from iTunes; whether playing internet radio or library tracks.
It seems that the fix actually had precisely the reverse effect on a working system. Is there a way to roll this "fix" out of my system or otherwise correct the issue?
    Cheers,
    Neil

  • GT80 Titan 094 - Realtek HD Audio Manager

On the Speakers -> Speaker Configuration tab the Speaker Configuration drop-down only lists stereo as an option yet in various online forums and tutorials I see options for Dolby 5.1, THX 7.1 and other theater level surround sound choices.
The stereo option appears even when I have four external speakers and subwoofer connected.
Is there a driver update or something else I need to upgrade in order to have support for these other sound options?

    Hi rpisarzjr,
My GT80 2QE (Titan-001) is the same and this is perfectly normal. I think part of the problem you're having is the unclear labeling of the tabs in the Realtek HD Audio Manager.
The Realtek DSP (digital signal processor) in our Titans has two audio "outputs": (1) analog and (2) digital. Each one appears as an output "device". The analog output is labeled "Speakers" and feeds the stereo headphone jack and the built-in speakers. The built-in speakers are only stereo, too, even though they have five drivers (two full-range transducers per each of the two stereo channels and one subwoofer that is shared by both stereo channels).
Some notebooks include analog surround sound outputs and therefore have Dolby Digital and/or DTS controls in their Audio Manager software. But it is rare and our GT80 Titans do not. The tab labeled "Speakers" is the analog tab. Since the Titan does not include analog outputs for surround sound, you will not see any surround sound options under the "Speakers" tab.
The only way to get true surround sound out of the Realtek DSP in the Titan is via its digital output. It uses an S/PDIF optical jack which must be connected via Toslink optical cable to a complimentary digital input to an external DSP. This could be a home theatre receiver, HDTV with built-in surround sound decoding, or a high-end computer speaker system with its own DSP.
When you use the Realtek DSP's digital output for Dolby Digital or DTS surround sound, the Realtek DSP serves only as a "pass-through" device to send the unprocessed digital surround sound signal out the S/PDIF connector. That's why you must have an external DSP to decode it to the analog audio that your external speakers will need.
It is not normal to find any digital surround sound controls in the Realtek HD Audio Manager software unless Dolby Digital Live has been activated. The Realtek DSP in our Titans is capable of generating a Dolby Digital Live signal from a non-surround stereo source but MSI apparently didn't license the technology and did not provide the controls for it in the Realtek HD Audio Manager. However, if you search the internet, you will find some hacks that enable you to activate it, yourself. Just remember: The only way you'll hear any digital surround sound is with the digital output using an external DSP that can decode the Dolby Digital (or DTS) signal. None of this will benefit the analog ("Speakers") output because it is hardwired only for stereo operation. Plus, the built-in amplifier in our Titans has only two channels and only does stereo.
Don't confuse "fake" surround sound for the real deal. For example, MSI's new Nahimic software will create a "fake" surround sound effect which you can hear over stereo speakers or headphones. It messes with the phasing of the two-channel audio signal to trick your ears into thinking the sound stage is quasi-surround. But these are just gimmicks which add distortion and are worthless in my opinion.
Unfortunately, this stuff is way more complicated than it needs to be.
Our Titans also have digital audio outputs as a part of their HDMI and mDP ports. These are the video outputs from our NVidia GPUs. If you total all of the built-in audio outputs in our Titans, we have five. One digital audio output each for the three video outputs, one digital audio output for the Realtek DSP, and one analog ("Speakers") output from the Realtek DSP which feeds both the headphone jack and the internal speakers. Each of the four digital outputs can pass a full 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound signal.
Finally, the digital audio is usually controlled in the application where the audio originates---not with the Realtek HD Audio Manager. For example, when I play a blu-ray movie, the surround sound audio controls are in my Cyberlink PowerDVD software. The Dolby Digital or DTS selection is made there along with the speaker configuration.
    Kind regards, David

  • I connect my mic with an M-audio mobile pre usb device.  When I try to record, I can see that my voice is recording but can't hear it during playback.

I connect my mic with an M-audio mobile pre usb device.  When I try to record, I can see that my voice is recording but can't hear it during playback.  I tried different input and output settings but it didn't help.  Any help will be appreciated.

Hear your microphone or instrument as you play and record (monitoring)
You can hear, or monitor, input from an instrument or microphone in GarageBand while you play and record. When you turn on monitoring for a track, you hear the musical instrument or microphone connected to the track’s input. Monitoring lets you hear yourself play so that you can hear the part you want to record as well as the rest of the project.
You can turn on monitoring for a Real Instrument track or Electric Guitartrack from the track’s header, or in the Track Info pane. Electric Guitar tracks always show their monitoring buttons, and you can show monitoring buttons for Real Instrument tracks using a menu command. You can use monitoring with feedback protection to avoid feedback while you play.
    Hide
To turn on monitoring in the track header:
Choose Track > “Show Monitoring for Real Instrument Tracks.”Monitor buttons appear in the headers of Real Instrument tracks. On tracks with monitoring turned on, the button lights yellow.
Click the Monitor button in the header of the track you want to use.
HideTo turn on monitoring in the Track Info pane:
Double-click the header of the Real Instrument or Electric Guitar track you want to turn on monitoring for.The Track Info pane opens.
From the Monitor pop-up menu, choose one of the following:
Choose Off to turn off monitoring. You can hear your instrument only while you record.
Choose On to turn on monitoring and protect against feedback.
Choose On (no feedback protection) to turn on monitoring without feedback protection. If the input level is too high, it may cause feedback (especially if you are using a microphone and listening to your project through your computer speakers).
For an Electric Guitar track, you can view the Monitor pop-up menu by clicking Edit, and then clicking the back side of the amp. The Monitor pop-up menu appears with the input controls below the stage.
You should usually turn off monitoring when you are not playing or singing. When monitoring is turned on, your computer can pick up output from your speakers or monitors, causing unwanted feedback. Using headphones rather than speakers to listen to your projects can help eliminate feedback.
If you select your computer’s built-in microphone as the audio input, in the Audio/MIDI pane of GarageBand preferences, monitoring is turned off for all Electric Guitar tracks to avoid unwanted noise.

  • Realtek hd audio mic

In my realtek audio manager, it shows that my mic goes on 'mute' automatically when i press 'call' in skype. either a echo/sound test or calling a contact.
    WHY

I think this is a new bug with the latest version of Skype - never experienced it earlier. In fact it was quite funny. Expecting an important international skype call, I did a skype test call. Everything went fine. But when my actual call came through - the microphone stopped functioning. It took me a couple of hours to figure out that Skype is playing tricks with Realtek configuration. The 'Mic Volume' under 'Playback' on the Mixer page of the Realtek HD Audio Manager had got muted on its own.
I unmuted it and did a test call again on Skype. This time I heard only half of what I recorded during the test! I opened the audio manager - yes the 'Mic Volume' had again got muted! I did a third test, this time I made the skype test callwhile keeping the audio manager visible on screen. This time I saw the 'Mic Volume' getting muted on its own while I was recording for the Skype test call.
I hope the Skype team will look into this problem.

  • Volume control for video playback through Apple TV2

I am trying to configure the volume settings used on airplay through apple TV2 and a macbook pro and Iphone4 all with most recent updates.
I am using the apple remote app on my iphone to control the apple tv.
    Whats working:
Using the pandora app on my iphone through aiplay to the apple tv, I can control the volume using the plus and minus buttons on the side of the iphone for volume control. Very cool and easy.
Using the apple remote app on my iphone I can control the itunes volume of different speakers by clicking on the airplay icon and using a slider.  Not as cool as using the hard +/- buttons but still works.
    Whats not working:
Controling volume on appleTV2 through the iphone remote app for video playbacks like netflix, and youtube.
Why I want this: RIght now I can control most of the multimedia right from my iphone including cranking the music up:) But when I switch over to video(Netlfix, Youtube) I have to get out another remote (stereo reciever) to control the volume. It seems we are so close to being able to control everything off the iphone, the only thing missing is volume control for video playback.
Is there a setting that can be changed or a solution I havent found?
    Thanks

Same problem with TV3. HDMI volume output is not adjustable, neither with the original Apple remote nor with any universal. Why ? Every simple settop-box is able to be volume adjusted. And a Mac Mini too ?!!!
I use a flatscreen TV. it has 3 HDMI inputs and one optical out for the audio going to an amp standing behind it. The sound of the TV is switched to go to the optical out.
HDMI 1 is connected to the satellite settop box with its  own remote control ( channel +/-, volume +/- etc. ) it work s fine.
HDMI 2 is connected to the MacMini HDMI out with its own remote control ( channel/music +/-, volume +/- ) it works fine too.
HDMI 3 was connected to Apple TV3 with its own remote control ( channel/music +/- but no volume ). I sent the TV3 back to Apple.
What's going wrong in the mind of Apple ? Why is the HDMI volume output of the MacMini adjustable with the Apple remote, and the TV3 not ?
I want not to discuss, wether a 4th remote control is useful or not. I don't want it. I want to adjust the volume with the originl remote control of the specific unit I use, because I need it anyway. It worked since years, but not with Apple TV3.
How can we help Apple to open the volume +/- function on their own remote control ?
