No playmemories in my album app

Hi, I had a problem with my album app. When I first buy the phone, playmemories online is working on the phone. However, after updated to android 4.3, playmemories online just disappear. Please help me. Thanks!

I also had same issue, goto settings->apps->download->albums-> uninstall updates and goto to software update and download the new version then you will see it again

Album app crashes and other problems

I have my Z1 Compact for about 3 months now and I am countering bugs that effect the most basic uses of the phone.
- First the Album app crashes everytime I go to "Folders" it been like that before the latest update, and afterwards.
- The screen proximity sensor is not doing it's job. While I'm on a call sometimes my face touches different button like airplane mode, or while I'm getting a call and the phone is in my pocket my thigh touchs buttons and answer to calls.
- The favorite contact tab sometimes is blank, although I do have favorites.
- The Message app is slow and if I don't wait for it to complete sending a message and I go to the home screen, the app keeps it as draft although the message was sent..
- Camera sometimes freeze but that's been discussed enough.
- Other apps get stuck and crash sporadicaly.
I have to say that my 3 years old iphone 4 had less bugs, so its really hard for me to say I upgraded my smartphone.
Sony better do something about your own apps, because this phone doesn't worth the price and has many compatitors.

Since last version the Album cannot play gif. properly. Some image have enlarge and some pixels crack in both thumbnail preview and actual view . But the Favorite preview play just fine till I tapped to view and the same problem accure.
So I gave up on new version and back to factory version which kind of irritating....
Anyway I waited for this latest version. In this version the thumbnail preview look fine but when tapped to see the gif.still cannot played.
This doesn't make any sense

Default view in album app.

The default view in the album app should be folder view.. Whenever we open the album it should show the folders containing pics and videos not all the pics videos in the way it currently shows that creates a total mess.. And I was not able to use 3rd party app on my xperia z1 due to restrictions in kitkat over external sd card. I think u should add the following features:
1. Default view should be of folders.
2. we should be able to move pics and videos from external sd card to internal memory and vice versa within the app using multi select feature.
If u people add the above listed features then it will be highly appreciated and the app will then only become useful.

I know this has been brought up several times.
But common, I just installed the newst update and I'm very happy that I don't need to go into file commander everytime I'd like to move a photo.
Back to case, I'm fed up with having to go to Home every time I whant my photo's, the reason is that I got like many others, porno on my phone, now I got it in a specific folder, but to what help? Everyone can see them because of the home thing.
What I really ask for is to permanently or just haveing it as as a option, to take away Home and instead go to Folders eveverytime I start up the app.

Photo Album app and Video viewing crashes the whole phone

Not sure whether there is already another forum for this?
I am running android 4.3.
I have found that when I go into my photo album and scroll right the way down to the bottom of the page, the pictures stop showing a thumbnail and instead all I am shown are blacked out squares. When I then scroll to the top of the page the thumbnails that were previously there then turn black too. This then has the effect of crashing the whole phone. What I mean by this is that it becomes unresponsive, the back and home buttons do not work and I am then shown a barrage of "Album is not working" or "Google+ is not working" or "system is not working" messages..
This is also the case when I am attempting to view videos. The phone will play some videos but then all of a sudden it will begin to become unresponsive in the same way as I have mentioned before.
When the phone has become unresponsive, the screen times out and I am unable to access my phone again for a good few minutes. When I can eventually access the phone, I have found the same sort of messages and unresponsiveness will occur again when I enter these apps or try to view videos through the movies app or another video viewing app and I am forced to restart the phone.
The issue with album app occurs every time I try to access the photos at the very bottom of the page. The issue with the videos appears to be more temperamental and will occur every so often and through either the movies app or when viewing videos through alternate sources such as facebook.
I have only recently bought the Z1 and I have to say I am incredibly disappointed by the device so far!
Can anyone offer any sort of guidance or tips on what I should do?

Sounds like there could be a problem with the indexation of your media files. So I suggest that you try to clear data for the media storage application.
Settings > App's > All > Media storage > Clear data.

Flickr link in album app not working

Hi there,
In the stock "album" app on 4.3 there is the option to link with a Flickr account and view pics through the album. When I enter my Flickr details, it appears to connect successfully but then says "there are no items in your collection". I've tried refreshing and clearing the cache etc, and my Flickr pics aren't private or anything. What am I doing wrong?

Has anyone had any success accessing flickr pontos on the album app? It doesnt show any pictures for me, ive already tried logging out and back in on bota flickr and yahoo account.

Movies, Walkman & Album app bugs

Android 4.3 update is really amazing but it comes with flaws that needs to be perfected.
Movies app:
-Sometimes sound and video is not in sync. Have to close app and start again for it to be okay.
Walkman app:
-Volume is really soft when compared to other music player playing from the same phone and same music file
-Sound enhancement effects are not working
-Long song names when shown on music list is jumbled up with song timing shown, looking really messing
-Genre option and Year option please!
Album app:
-Laggy when loading photos
-Thumbnails are not accurate after a image file is deleted

Try tapping the photo in the Facebook app so it enlarges. Tap the three dots along the bottom of the photo , then tap save photo, then done.

Sony Album app Zooming sensitivity weakness

I think sony needs to improve or maybe to change the sensitivity of Album app Zooming in and out sensitivity because as I experience it is not responsive at all, also some bugs.
When doing zooming out twice on portrait mode. It stops moving. And also when we put both fingers to the screen to start zooming, the photo moves itself a little bit.
So many update has beed done to Album app, but it seems that sony software developer has not noticed it. Come on Sony. Fix this soon. I am sony fans. Dont make me feel dissappointed by only this easy solved problems. Take a look at iphone photo app when zooming in and out. And also please see the quickpic app doing zooming in andvout.

All my camera photos was disappear after update Album app

After updated Album app version 5.4.A.0.20 from update center, all photos which took by Xperia Z1 was disappear! only left photo which transfer from old phone and edited photo. i had restart my Z1 and still the same. by the way, my camera is directly save into SD card. anybody know how to recover it?

You could try going to Settings - Apps then swipe to All and look for the Album app then open it and tap on Clear cache and reboot your phone - Do not tap on Clear data - or you could try deleting the .Thumbnail folder which may be hidden but using an app like a file explorer and choosing show hidden files will show the folder then it's a case of deleting and again rebooting your phone

Album app crashes when trying to view pictures on Xperia Ion runing 4.0.4

I have been using Firefox 20.0.1 on my Sony Xperia Ion and I have noticed that when I download a picture using firefox, it crashes my album app. I have tried this on chrome and the stock browser and it doesn't cause my app to crash, however, firefox is very speedy on my phone compared to the others and i would like to keep it that way.
I have also noticed that after said pictures have been downloaded, if I try to set them as a wallpaper either for Xperia home or my lock screen, it causes my lock screen AND the album app to crash altogether.
Has anyone else encountered these problems? I would really like to solve this problem.

...It's just really annoying to try to organize photos into an album when you can't see the full screen version of the photo... especially if you have several similar-looking photos, and you can't tell the one you want from looking at 40 thumbnails on an iPhone screen.

Z2 album app update

Hey, i'm experiencing a few annoying issues with my z2, it's a great phone but i've been experiencing alot of Google sync issues so I factory reset my phone which seems to have solved the issue I think... But after that I now have the old album app on my z2 as before when I received my phone I also received the update for album on the update centre as where I don't now... I have the update for Walkman.video unlimted and movies but not album... I'm just wondering why I don't receive it over ota anymore?

Screen Flickaring problem In Album App (c2305)

I'm still using the basic version of the album (4.0.A.0.12) Application....,when I get each updates I will go for it to update but all the album updates in my Xperia device disappoints me,including the latest update 7.0.A.0.24.
When I select photos my device screen will started to flicker and also if I try to zoom any of my photos the same screen flickares

Based on this and your previous post, I would recomend that you try this :
repair your phone with PCC > uninstall any antivirus app > do NOT install any third party app for 3 or so hours > update any Sony apps > check if you experience any issues, if you don't then your issues were caused by third party apps

Black lines after updating album app

I am using sony experia c, after updating the album , i have a problem of black lines appears on the images. so i uninstall the updates . now its working good. but i have liked the album after updating. so i want to use it. please fix the problem and give the solution to use the new album.

Have you tired reinstalling the update and clearing the cache and data from the app via Settings Apps then All locate and open Album and tap on Clear cache and data
