No PlayStation Video for my Xperia Z2 Tablet

Hello forum,
I have noticed that my Xperia Z2 phone has the PS Video replacing the previous Sony Video Unlimited, however my Xperia Z2 Tablet doesn't have the PS Video, it still has Sony Video Unlimited. I have tried installing a PS Video apk however that didn't install.
Both are running on Lollipop latest update build - 23.1.A.1.28 and my region is United Kingdom
Am I missing an update for it or is the Xperia Z2 Tablet not getting the app update?
Many Thanks

  • Driver for all-in-one-printer L7590 for Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet

I cannot find any driver-app. Anybody who know how to solle the Problem?

    Hi Liffe6,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that you would like to learn how to print from your Sony Xperia Z2 tablet to your Officejet L7590 printer.
I check the specifications for your tablet and it ships with Android 4.4 (KitKat) as the tablet’s operating system so I have included the Android 4.4 (KitKat) and Later: Printing with the Android Print Solution document. It will walk you through how to print using the solution that is already installed on the tablet.
Another option is to download and install the HP ePrint Mobile app. I have included the HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ document for reference.

  • Where is PlayStation Video in Xperia Z4 Tablet

Hello: I just bought a Xperia Z4 Tablet, and everything is perfect, but one thing. There is no PS Video app. So I can't watch, download or buy new movies in this service. I also can't download it from Google Play... is not there. Downloaded the apk, but didn't install. Anyone can help, please. I have a good collection there. And I'm writing from Spain. My device is SGP712, compilation 28.0.A.6.2 Thanks in advance!Daniel.

Adding some pictures of the installation process (sorry, they are in spanish, but is easy to get the point):  And in this one says "The aplication is not installed": Maybe the problem is that in the first picture says "Do you want to install an update of this integrated application", but the app is not in the system. I susspect the app is inside the firmware, and the apk is only an update. If I don't have the core, I can't install the update. So, if that is true, the question is: how do I install the core Playstation Video app? Should I wait until a new firmware is released, hoping the app is inside?

  • Xperia Z2 Tablet : Weird volume issue playing music or videos

I picked up the Xperia Z2 Tablet about a week after I got the Z3v for that $299 tablet deal.  I love the tablet; it's fast and works great.  But, I noticed that sometimes when playing music (the included loaded songs) it would sometimes lower the volume on it's own until I could barely hear it.  Re-orienting the tablet (so it auto rotates) would immediately fix it, and the volume would return to it's original setting (for 10-20 secs) until you rotated the tablet again.   I also tried this with youtube videos, my own loaded videos of concerts I took, and iHeart radio streaming music.  All will display this behavior.  I checked all the sound and volume settings, even hard reset the tablet erasing everything.    I then took the tablet back to my Verizon Wireless Store and they exchanged it.   The new one does the exact same thing...it's 99 percent of the time, and there is a slim chance that every so often it does not do this, but it's extremely annoying.  I searched online and cannot find any similar issue.   Anyone observe this behavior?   I took it back too the Verizon store again, but it actually stopped doing it there, but when I got home after about 15 minutes of playing some streaming iHeart, it does it again.
    Looking for an answer.

This is very strange therabbitssing! This is the first time I hear of audio issues like the one outlined in your post. It is particularly strange that this issue could not be duplicated at the store. Have you tried other streaming application to see if issue continues? Have you downloaded any application that require access to your device speaker or microphone? Does the audio issue occur also when using headphones?

  • What's the latest firmware version for the Xperia Tablet Z?

What's the latest firmware version for the Xperia Tablet Z?
According to the Swedish and British Sony website, the latest version for the Xperia Tablet Z is 10.1.1.A.1.253 released on 17th of May.
But this is the latest version for the Xperia Z (phone) not the tablet Z... Or am I wrong?
It's a bit confusing, when the manufacturer cannot keep track of the phone and tablet...
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Depends on if you have the WiF version or the LTE version. For LTE the latest is 10.1.1.A.1.253 and for WiFi it's 10.1.C.0.344.

  • USB cable for Xperia Z Tablet Won't fit

Wonder if anyone can help me. I'm travelling in the UK from Australia and forgot my charger. Online everyone says it's a micro USB, but when I bought one it doesn't fit. The port is rectangular and the usb connector is trapezoid-shaped and won't fit or charge the device. Been to a couple of computer shops and they all say the Xperia Z has a unique posrt and thay don't stock the correct lead. I won this tablet in a competition in September 2013 and don't have manual or anything here. Any helpful ideas out there would be greatly appreciated as I've been without it now for 3 weeks. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Guys,
I can clarify that the Xperia Tablet Z does have a charge cradle. It can be viewed on the following link.

  • Where can I get a replacement USB port for the Xperia Tablet Z1

Where would I get a replacement USB port component for my Tablet Z - I am OK replacing it myself as I've already stripped the unit down and replaced a broken screen. I looked at the existing part and it doesn't look repairable - looks like the connector "tongue" has come away from the circuit board.
Google hasn't thrown up any good leads. Do Sony sell these parts?
    TIA

  • How do I create/host interactive articles with embedded video for use in browsers?

    I'm seeking a little guidance -
How do I create/host interactive articles with embedded video for use in browsers?
The aim is to bring together video, design, images and writing in one place. A little like Born Presents, but very accessible and user friendly.
I'm happy using InDesign but want to create interactive articles / magazines that have embeded video files as required. I've been looking at .SWF files but I've come unstuck.
I want people to view the articles via a blog, ideally with them opening in a lightbox style viewer. It's not intended for tablet viewing and people should be able to view and interact with the files with little effort on their part.
I think I know how to create these files within InDesign, but I'm not so hot on web design and I'm not sure how to host these online. Does this start coming into the realms of Flash?
If anyone could point in the right direction I'd really appreciate it - Thank you in advance.

PDF is one thing. Folios for DPS is another. There is a little bit of
    overlap but not much.
The interactivity in the folio overlays panel is for DPS only.

  • Can't play Video in Sony Xperia

This is extremely weird. I deploy my Adobe AIR app as an .apk for my Xperia and everything works fine EXCEPT playing videos.
I have tried flash.media.Video (NetStream, NetConnect etc). I get the video to play fine in the Desktop simulator. If I try to play video on the mobile device (Sony Xperia Arc S) I get a black screen!
I have managed to narrow down the source of the problem: as soon as this piece of code is encountered:
"new Video()" (yes, exactly as you see it here, nothing more, nothing less!)
the app's screen (all of it) goes black! I can still hear the music playing as well as the sound effects, but I get a completely black screen!
Occasionaly, I get a glance of the video's first frame before the screen goes black.
Trying to hack around this problem, I embedded my video as a MovieClip. However, as soon as I create an instance of the embedded MovieClip, the screen goes black again.
Finally, I have tried playing a video with the StageVideo class, but as soon as this piece of code is encountered:
    "stage.addEventListener(StageVideoAvailabilityEvent.STAGE_VIDEO_AVAILABILITY, onStageVideoState);"
again, I get a black screen on the mobile (on the desktop, I simply get a "StageVideo not available" message or something like that).
I haven't had the chance to try on another device. Is it my mobile? Is it Xperia? Is it AIR?
PS. I have tried Air 3.4 and 3.5, both in Flash Builder and Flash CS6 with exactly the same results.
PS2. Anything else to hack my way through? (StageWebView is rejected because I need to show my stuff above the video)

Hi Chris, I have come across many posts like this one here and elsewhere on the web, new Video() does cause the issue and I have tried the code with Adobe 4.6 and Apache 4.9.1 flex SDK's with combinations and ASC2 standalone AIR SDKs ranging from 3.5-3.8. My bug report has a snippet of code I compiled with Flash Develop on Windows 7 x64 machine.
Tried all the solutions/workarounds I came across without much success. Decompiled the apk and looked at the manifest, found <containsVideo>false</containsVideo>. Googled it found very little other than a release note for AIR 3.5. Checked online docs and couldn't find any reference/information on it. Could you please get that sorted? It'd have saved me several days of stress, hopefully will prevent anyone else running into the problem. Is there any reason the default is not true? Is there a performance cost?

The camera app is probably disabled. Go to settings > apps > all > scroll to the bottom and you will probably find it. Tap it and select to enable.
