No power in new SC-2345, PWR01 (powered from PXI-6221)

I've used several systems in the past that included an SC-2345 box powered from a PXI card, and until now have not had problems.
I have an SC-2345 (PWR01, rear-connect) connected to a PXI-6221, all brand new, and the SC-2345 does not seem to be getting any power. The indicator LED's on the front do not light, and if I look at terminal 14 on the screw terminal block, I don't see the +5V I expect. If I unplug the 68-pin cable at the SC-2345 and look at the pins directly, I do see +5V on pin 14. All the pins on the cable appear in good condition, and the cable seats firmly when plugged in.
I can run a self-test on PXI-6221 from MAX, and it passes. I've removed all cartridges from the box and looked for obvious shorts, but the problem persists. There _may_ have been a short when the box was first connected -- a few leads from the front panelettes were disconnected and unrestrained. Supposing this caused a short, are there fuses in the box that I can check / replace?
I have spare SC-2345's, but it's a little difficult to get them to this particular site -- are there any suggestions for things to check before just trying a different SC-2345?

Did you set the switch S1 on the SCC-PWR01 to select the source of the +5 V E SER (E/M Series) or EXT (external). If you select EXT, you must connect a +5 V supply (user supplied) to the screw terminals of J1 on the SCC-PWR01. For more information here is the link of the manual

You've already done the two things I would have suggested.
If your Mini has an internal battery then I assume it's a G4. That means you've gotten a lot of good years of service from it, and it's old enough that it's certainly not covered by AppleCare anymore, and it's probably not worth spending money trying to repair it.
You should be able to tear it apart using instructions from ifixit.com to get the hard drive out, and then put the hard drive into a nice USB or FireWire enclosure (I like the ones from Other World Computing, macsales.com) so you can transfer your data to a replacement Mac.
I hope someone has another suggestion for you.

No problem paulcurtis. Typical story, if I'd waited a couple of weeks or a month, I could have gotten for 300 less a refurbed 2.53 with the discreet video card with 512 MB of vid ram. As it is, I have a discreet card with 256.
All the MBP from late 2008 onward have a Nivdia 9400 Video chip on-board, meaning integrated with the motherboard. These cards share 256MB of ram with system ram. The extra discreet card is a Nivdia 9600 card. My model came with 256MB of its own dedicated ram. So when I'm on battery, I use the 9400 because it uses less electricity. When plugged in I use the 9600 with 256 as it provides significantly better performance. I believe that when Snowbird comes out, that apps written for it, especially creative apps, such as Photoshop, Final Cut Express, Aperture or Lightroom, or going to put more of the processing onto the video card. In that case the more ram on the video card the better.
If I was buying today, I would get a refurbed 2.53 or 2.66 with the 512 MB version of the card. Now you can get those same models for the price I paid for my 2.4. they also come with more Ram 4GB and more onboard cache 6MB as opposed to 3. The cache is the fastest memory on the system and like ram, the more the merrier. Don't get me wrong, I love this Macbook and don't regret the purchase at all. In fact it's become my main computer now. but that's the way of computer world.
The refurbed macs are a real deal, in my view. And if you are going to do any kind of Photoshop or use so-called "Pro" apps beyond iLife, the dedicated graphics card will be a plus. Likewise for playing games.

See if this fixes it. Reboot and let the iPad start up, then try to power down.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

New ipod won't restore from icloud

If I set up my ipod as new, can I still restore from icloud?
I purchased a new ipod touch yesterday, and in the course of setting it up, it will not restore from icloud, so I thought I might be able to set it up as new and still restore from icloud once I got it set up, is this correct? I would update from itunes, but my computer's operating system won't allow me to update to the newest version of itunes, so the ipod and computer won't "talk" to each other.

Do other devices now connect to the router OK?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Try on another network as Apple recommended.

I was looking into the issue you are desribing, and found a great article for troubleshooting wifi connections with iOS devices. It's called iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections and can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398.
Start with this section, and work your way down if needed.
Basic troubleshooting
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware.For AirPort Base Stations, refer to this article for information about firmware updates. For third-party Wi-Fi routers, check the manufacturer's website for details on updating your firmware.
Restart your iOS deviceHold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.

SG300 Stacking and Powered from POE by Upstream Switch

Hi Everyone,
I searched on Google for this unique behavior I discovered on a pair of SG300-28P.
On a second switch (ver 1.2.7.76) when I unplugged the power cord, to my amazement the switch turned right back on (about 1 second later), with the power cord removed. To verify that the power is indeed coming from POE, the upstream switch (ver 1.1.2.0) that is the same model (sg-300-28p), shows all 7 Ethernet ports connecting the two drawing from 2700mW, to 3000mW.
While the second switch is powered from the first over POE, the POE does not work on the second switch to power anything, and the system summary mentions something about "PoE Power Information on Master Unit".
What kind of mode is this?
Is this a stacking operation, and is POE on the second switch NOT supposed to work when powered over Ethernet from an upstream switch?

How do I install CC on a new device and eliminate CC from another?

I have a Creative Cloud membership with CC being installed on my laptop. I attended AdobeMax and was the happy recipient of a Surface Pro with Creative Cloud pre-installed. I activated the second account on the Surface Pro. However, I have since bought a new desktop computer and need to install CC on that computer. I don't need it on my Surface Pro, but want it on the laptop and desktop computers. I have signed out of CC on the Surface Pro and have tried to install on the desktop. I go through all the steps on the desktop computer. Sign into my account, hit the download button, get to the installer and double click. It works for about 3 seconds and then quits. I get a message that says "Adobe Creative Cloud is needed to resolve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy of Creative Cloud from...". I select the "Get Creative Cloud" button and it basically goes round in the same circle and I end up with the same "Adobe Creative Cloud is needed..." message again.
Do I need to uninstall CC on my Surface Pro or eliminate that device from my account? I'm currently signed out on this device, but signed in on the laptop.
NOTE: I am running Yosemite 10.10.1 on the desktop.
I really do need to resolve this issue. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have tried to just install the new version of itunes from the apple website, it looks like it downloads but after 5 minutes at the end of the install it says 'old version of itunes cannot be uninstalled, please contact support.'?

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Ifeel miserable after trying out all the options changed multiple sims, tried multiple carriers, restored the phone back and have set-up as new device but the problem does not get solved... its is so frustrating that after investing on a world's most expensive phone you cannot enjoy the calling features which the phone offers which is the main thing you own the phone for.. Rest of the things are working.. The funniest part I am not able to make calls or receive calls but can access the internet.. I have tried every possible thing and really very frustrated with this iphone of mine...I hope the problem gets solved.. would anyone have any solutions to this problem.. Does it mean one should never update software as I hear that after updating to IOS.5.1 the problem has started coming and same has been with there.... Apple says its a hardware failure which is very difficult to digest as sometimes I get 5 bars and able to make and receive calls but 95% of the time I am unable to. If anyone has any solution I will be very happy if he or share can share the same. Essentially you need to copy over the itunes folder
username/Music/itunes
Over to your macbookpro I suggest using an ethernet cable as it is way quicker. Put it in the same spot on the new Macbook Pro

This should bring over the playlists etc. Then just put the music back in from the archive
