No premium OWA for IE11 with new install of Exchange 2013 w/sp1

We just installed Exchange Server 2013 with sp1 included. Everything is good except IE11 users don't get the premium OWA site. I know that this was fixed in CU3, but you can't install it because SP1 is supposed to contain all the fixes through CU3.
Does anyone have any idea?

There's nothing wrong with the server.
I have LAB environment also and OWA will show as legacy client rather Exchange 2013.
I would suggest the same I suggested before... Uninstall IE11 and install IE10
Also the windows Update has to be UpToDate

  • Redirect emails in OWA and Outlook 2010 not working in Exchange 2013

I have an new install of Exchange 2013 with all updates.
When I setup an inbox rule to redirect messages to another contact it is not working.
When I used Outlook 2010 and ran the rule manually I received this error:
"the redirect action is not currently supported with run rules now"
It seems that I didn't setup up something correctly in Exchange 2013 or a feature is not turned on. Please assist.
In the EM console when I setup forwarding that is working. Its the inbox rule redirect not working.

    Hi,
From your description, I recommend you use the following cmdlet to ensure that the DeliverToMailboxAndForward parameter is set to $True.
    Get-Mailbox <identity> | fl DeliverToMailboxandForward
If this parameter is false, you can use the Set-Mailbox cmdlet to set it and check the result.
Hope this can be helpful to you.

In addition to checklists provided by Josh; I would suggest you to perform a repository scan of the system to identify whether any objects were not installed properly and there might be a possible corruption. Use the link mentioned below to perform repository scanning.
How to use Repository Diagnostic Tool - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - SCN Wiki
You can try to repair the install. Also as this is a new install you can directly go for re-installing the software.
PS: Try to re-download the software from the service market place rather than copying the installer from existing one.

  • New DAG - 2012R2 & Exchange 2013 SP1

    Hi there,
Setting up a test platform running on 2012R2 with Exchange 2013SP1, and whilst all looks ok I simply cannot add any server to a new DAG, I can create the dag without any issues and tried using DAG with an IP, and a simplified DAG without IP however simply
    cannot add any of my 2 member servers with the following error;
Exchange 2013 SP1 A server-side administrative operation has failed. 'GetNetworkConfig' failed on the server. Error: The NEtworkManager has not yet initialized.
    LAN - 10.21.129.111 & 112 / 24
    REPLICATION - 192.168.129.111 & 112 / 24
    I've checked everything! All sits on vCloud, removed ALL NICs and replaced, removed Symantec, no loss between REPL NICs, all seems fine.  Not a lot in the logs other than these last results;
    [2014-03-05T12:51:10] Updating 'MDB001'.MasterServerOrAvailabilityGroup to 'DAG001.
    [2014-03-05T12:51:10] database[ 0 ] (MBDB01)'s MsOrDag=DAG001.

I'm at the end of the road and cannot find anything to help me ;(

    HI Jared,
I agree, have a feeling it's that bit but not sure how to check if working or re-install perhaps.
    Copy status is ALL ok;
    CopyQueueLength - 0
    ReplayQueueLEnght - 0
    ContentIndexState - Healthy
This is without DAG.  For replication Health fails on last 2 points on both VMs, could it be missed failover cluster bit or didn't install correctly?

  • Installing OS on a new HDD for imac with no installed HDD

    Hi all
I am looking to buy an iMac 27", but it doesnt come with a HDD
So I wanted to know if I buy a new HDD for it, can I install Mavericks onto it and fit it to the iMac? How would I go about doing this?
I dont have access to another mac but I do have access to a windows machine. Can I do it from there?
    Any help appreciated
    Thanks

Where are you buying an iMac 27-inch, Late 2009 model that has no internal hard disk drive?
Having to assume it was removed by an original owner, does the computer work? Was it tested by use of an externally enclosed HDD with a correct bootable system installed?
There are various repair and upgrade guides online, several topics among them and several are free to view or use. There likely is an iFixit guide that may cover that vintage of iMac 27-inch build year model.
Not sure which iMac 27-inch model guide applies to your computer,
    some appear here http://www.ifixit.com/Device/iMac_Intel
While considering the hard disk drive, be sure that if there are any sensors or special cables required to be in place and attached to a new replacement, they are in place and working; some users of later models found when a hard disk drive was replaced, their fans ran at high and uncontrolled speeds due to lack of sensor input. The default situation was for the computer act as though the unit was overheated. And third party fan control software to set a fan at low slower speeds does not take into account faster speeds are needed to cool iMacs. Yours may not exhibit this issue, but I am not certain either way.
When you get it set up, with HDD and original Snow Leopard installed & updated to 10.6.8, be sure to check to see if there are any hardware or firmware updates. I see there was one listed for your model and it may already be installed...

  • Reinstalling win 7 with new installed hard drive hp dv4 2161nr

    So here is my problem..
I am now on hard drive number 3 for my dv4-2161nr it is running win 7 64 bit.
I ordered the reinstall disks from HP for my laptop. after installing the new hard driv(very easy) and follwing all the directions on the screen, i am ready to go...but now the problem is my win 7 will not allow windows updates, wont let me run the update tool, or the fix it thing...also cannot run or install windows defender either...
    any thoughts from the forum?

    Hi:
That happened to me once using recovery disks on a HP 8000 Elite business desktop PC.
I tried every trick in the book to no avail.
I ended up having to use a plain W7 installation disk and used the product key from the PC's case to activate the installation.
No problems whatsoever with anything with a clean install from a standard W7 DVD.
You can make your own if you don't have one.
If no one can come up with a better solution, and if you don't have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit upgrade or OEM installation disk,  let me know, and I will give you the links to the W7 ISO file downloads and the tool needed to make the ISO file bootable onto a DVD or 4 GB USB flash drive.

  • Outlook prompting for password with new Exchange 2013

I have Exchange 2007 and 2013.  I want to migrate to 2013 but I'm having issues in the testing phase.  I have a test account that I moved the mailbox to the new server.  I have a test PC with a modified hosts file that points to the new Exch
    2013 server IP address.
When I log in with this test user, Outlook appears to connect and download the mailbox.  However a Windows Security dialog box pops up saying Microsoft Outlook Connecting to [email protected] and it has a username and password field.  No matter what
is entered here, it is NOT accepted, nor if forcefully entering the wrong information is the account locked out.
I can click cancel here and it proceeds to update the inbox and then says All folders are up to date.  But at the bottom in Outlook 2013 it says Need password and Outlook's icon in the taskbar has a yellow triangle on it.  I can send myself a test
email and I get it (I personally am on the 2007 server), but after it sends Outlook 2013 prompts again for the password, and since it does not accept anything, I have to click cancel.
I have done ALL the windows updates available on this test PC.  Exchange 2013 is on CU6 which is the latest at the time of this writing.
Another thing is in the Lync 2013 client it says "Exchange needs your credentials".  No matter what is entered here, it will not make this message go away unless you click the X on this warning bar.  Lync itself appears to work regardless.
    Any ideas?
I just changed the ExternalClientAuthenticationMethod from Ntlm to Negotiage.  Now the Outlook prompt does accept the domain password, but I don't want anyone to have to enter any type of credentials just to get on.  Note, this test is on the same
LAN as the servers, so I haven't even tackled an external test yet, though last time I tried it was the same results.

Ok besides LYNC 2013 asking for exchange credentials, I cannot get Outlook to work externally.
Externally to the NEW Exch2013 server, we are trying something different this time around.  Instead of poking port 443 straight to the Exchange server from the outside world, we are trying what we did with LYNC.  We are poking port 443 to an IIS
AAR reverse proxy to it's DMZ interface.  It has another nic on DMZ 2 which allows port 443 to the Exchange 2013 server.
So I can use this with no problem for OWA if using an account on the new 2013 Exchange server.  But if using an account on the old Exchange server, after I click sign in I get "The webpage at https://legacy.domain.com/owa/auth/owaauth.dll might
be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. ERR_RESPONSE_HEADERS_TRUNCATED.
Then of course Outlook Anywhere does not work.  After I put in my password it sits there trying to connect with nothing.
Here is part of the IIS log on the AAR server.

  • How do I download iLife for free with new macbook???

I just purchased a 13" Macbook Pro on Friday and am trying to figure out how to download iPhoto and iMovie on it.  For some reason there is a cost for each program in the app store.  I submitted an up-to-date request for Pages, Number, and Keynote which should be ok, and I have downloaded garageband for free in the app store.  This is my very first mac so I was hoping someone can help with this.  The link attached is on the apple site saying that the six programs are supposed to be free with new purchases.
    http://www.apple.com/creativity-apps/mac/
    Thanks!

Log into the APP store using the Apple ID that you used to set up the computer and go to purchases - you may have to accept the programs and then download and install them

  • For a complete new install, do I have to install Leopard 1st, then Snow?

Ok, now Snow is out, I want to reinstall from scratch, do I have to install leopard 1st (my iMac came with it pre installed and have disks) or can I just use the Snow Leopard DVD to install from scratch
I have backed up what I want , ie iTunes, videos, docs, and want to do a brand new install from scratch.
    cheers

Ok, so I can just do a complete fresh install of Snow, I'm not bothered about archive or anything, just a fresh copy of Snow, as if it came pre-installed from Apple factory.
I dont have a Time Machine backup yet, as I all I need for backup is iTunes Library, Videos, photos, everything else I'm not bothered about. So I take it can just manually copy these to my iMac after fresh install of Snow?
Also another question....I have a Intel iMac, bought Xmas 2007, spec wise It:
    Model Identifier: iMac7,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 4 MB
    Memory: 2 GB
    Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Do you think Snow will speed up my system, as now its a "bit old". It was the lowest spec when I bought it in the range (added another 1Gb RAM) but it was my 1st Mac ever, and all I could afford
    cheers

  • Please help with new install

Superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2 filesystem and not SWAP or UFS or something else, then the superblock is corrupt and you might try running e2sck with and alternate superblock: e2sck -b 8193 <device>
I get this error after a new install and reboot, any idea what this mean and how to fix it.
    Appreciate all the help.
This is a AMD 1.8mgz and 1 gig of ram on Asus mb.

I just downloaded the image archlinux 2009.02 core i686 and was able to install with no issues.  I was able to reboot successfully.  It appears to be an issue with the newest installer specificly.  turtle, try the old installer and see if you can't get things working.  This should work for the OP too.
I got it to boot after an install for the first time using this older install image.
I wasted 8 freaking hours trying to figure out the problem and the answer is as simple as use the older installer.  Shesh.
I was wrong.  I installed once successfully in one of the computers on an 80 gb hard drive.  When trying to reinstall on two different 120 gig hard drives the error repeated itself.  I'm spent on this.  I'm going to have to try another distro.
After two more installs I can get it to load but I'm now having a superblock last load time is in the future error.
Used fsck on all my partitions to fix the problem and now I have a successfully booting arch system.  Guess I won't have to jump ship just yet.
------update, maybe this will help somebody----------
I'm not sure why but the partitions on my first disk are all referred to as sda and not hda even though all my hard drives are IDE (via command 'df', fstab has them listed by UID).
Even weirder, when I installed a new hard drive into the machine, I had to format it and mount it by referring to /dev/sdb and not /dev/hdb like I expected.  This is odd as I don't even have any sata connections in my machine.  Could someone tell me why this is happening.  Is it a 'feature' or a 'bug' of arch?
lldmer,  I wish I had listened to you when I was trying to install over and over the day before yesterday.  Looks like you hit the nail on the head on this one.  I wish I had tried what you suggested.  The weird thing is that when I was originally having problems, the fstab did have the drives listed by UID.  I wonder if changing those UID entries to /dev/sda style entries would have fixed my problems.
If I install arch again, I'll have to try that.

  • How to address HP Printer Software Update 3.0, iTunes 12.0.1 update that sits in the App Store, 'Calculating' for days with no install?

The App Store indicates there is a Software Update that appears to include the HP Printer Software Update 3.0 and iTunes 12.0.1
Unfortunately, the software update fails to install. Instead, it just sits there 'Calculating' for days with no progression on the status bar of the overall update.
The update buttons of both the HP Printer Software Update 3.0 and iTunes 12.0.1 are both greyed out, with no progress bar.
Not sure of what the issue is, there is no warning or error dialog box that appears or any indication of an application that may be interfering with the install.
    Any advice?
    MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2011) 2.3 GHz Core i7, 4GB RAM

Thanks for the suggestion. I wanted to install the individual updates but because I had settings to automatically download and install updates, whenever I opened the App Store, the system would try to download and install, preventing me from canceling the update to execute each application update one at a time.
After changing the settings from automatically downloading and applying updates, followed by a restart. I was able to open the App Store and run each individual update.
    Thanks again.
