No print or view using yahoo as browser
adobe 10.1.2 windows 7 and yahoo as the browser. I cannot view or print a document???????
Never heard of a Yahoo browser; all I can suggest that you try any other standard browser.
Note that the Adobe Reader add-on is 32-bit; it won't work on any 64-bit browsers.

Note: Just because the PDF DocFlavor exists doesn't mean you can use it to print a PDF file. When you lookup the PrintService for the PDF flavor,it will report unsupported flavor. That means there is no print service for the flavor. Sun doesn't provide one for PDF files. To the best of my knowledge,nobody else makes one available either. Until such a time as someone does,you can't print PDF files using the new Print Service API.
??? is there another way to print a pdf-file directly from filesystem without using the command line like:
C:\..\Acrobat 5.0\Reader>acrord32.exe/t test.pdf

I used to be able to view my Yahoo emails in Firefox. Now I can't. What do I need to do?
I have a new computer with Windows 7 and I usually use Firefox as by browser. Recently, I found that when I checked my Yahoo emails in Firefox that I would get a blank screen with no email content showing. However, when I use Internet Explorer and open the same email message, I can view the contact. I'm assuming this changed after an automatic update. Do you have any idea what I need to do to be able to view my Yahoo emails in Firefox?
I tried running Firefox in Safemode and still have the problem. I cannot view my emails.

Can't print a one page month view using ical 3.0.1
I can't seem to print a page view of a month using ical 3.0.1- the newest with Leopard. When you go to the print window, view only gives me day or list as a choice. There isn't a monthly option like in the support quides for ical 2.0. Has anyone had any luck printing a month on one page since upgrading to leopard?
I don't think you can do that in a direct way, although you could create a calendar, and move the event you want printed to that calendar, then go to print, select list and then only select that calendar and you will only print that event you wanted to print.

When I use yahoo images and open an image in a new window, the page, once I click its tab causes the entire browser to scramble graphically, making it nearly impossible to navigate further. I right-clicked and selected close tab. That regains the visual clarity of the browser. But how can I fix this to browse the images?

I tried it again using "save link as", and this time it actually worked! I just now downloaded several more using the "save link as" option, and it works perfectly. Thanks. Problem solved.

I use floating time zone with all of my iCal entries. But then the times of the entries do not print when printing month view. Is there a fix for this?

I noticed that after one of the recent updates to iTunes, I am unable to view my music using the column browser type view. Only when I select one of my playlists is the music displayed with the column browser. When I select Music to view the contents of my library, only the album covers are displayed on the right side. The old column browser type display is not available any more - it is grayed out. I do have "show list views for all media" checked in my Preferences / General tab.
Did Apple screw up or is it me?You're welcome.

When I try to open my Yahoo mail in safari, I get a message which states:" In order to use Yahoo mail, please turn Private Browsing off. Please go to Settings>Safari>Private Browsing, and turn off" The problem is, my ipad does not a Private Browsing switchat this location.
With iOS 7 on the iPad, you turn Private Browsing on and off by tapping the URL field. The screen that opens up has your bookmarks on it. In the bottom left corner is a hot button marked 'PRIVATE'. Tap on the word 'PRIVATE' to turn private browsing on or off. Yeah, there aren't any instructions anywhere that I can find to do this, and if you follow Yahoo's instructions, they don't work. This doesn't happen with the previous Apple OS, and you can restore your iPad to the older OS.

Sorry to hear you are having a similar problem. Last night I went to the tool bar at the top of iphoto, clicked on "File", then clicked "Browse Backups" in the drop down menu. I have an external hard drive that is set up to Time Machine. The Browse Backups opened the iphoto pages in the Time Machine. I selected a date one day ahead of the day I performed the now infamous update, and it showed my iphoto library as it had existed that day. I then clicked "Restore Library" at the bottom right corner of the Time Machine screen. Roughly 2 hours later my iphoto was back to normal. When I opened iphoto there was a message saying I need to upgrade my program to be compatible with the new version of iphoto(version 9.2.1). I clicked "Upgrade" and within seconds it had done whatever upgrading it needed to do.
The only glitch in the restoration was that it restored the library as it appeared last week, so I no longer had photos I had imported this past weekend. I simply went back to the Browse Backups in the drop down menu, when Time Machine opened I selected the page showing my pictures from this weekend and again said to Restore Library. Roughly 45 minutes later the library was restored including the most recent photos.
I am now a happy camper.
I don't know if any of this will be of help to you because your email says you are having trouble with photos imported after the upgrade was performed. Have you had any pop up notices when you first open iphoto, that tell you you need an upgrade to be compatible with the new iphoto? If so have you clicked "upgrade"?
Good luck Liz, if you have Time Machine running as a back up to your library, maybe you wil be able to get help there, by following my instructions above. Otherwise, good luck with your investigations. I'd be interested in hearing how you make out.

m.ananthuIf you are reasonable sure that the user will be using a newer browser you could use the <LINK> tag to set an alternative print page. When the user clicks on the print button it calls a javascript funtion that does a window.print function call. The browser will then request the alternative print page and print this page instead of what is in teh browser.
This will require two JSP pages but with proper use of includes you can reuse the code.
Sorry I don't have any examples handy so you'll have to search the web but I know it works because I've done it for an intranet site. -
I am having this problem both in my online banking site and when using Yahoo Mail. When I click on Print on either of these sites and then close the Print dialogue box that automatically comes up, highlight just the text I want printed, then hit Ctrl+P and choose Selection, Print Preview shows me a blank page. When I try printing the selection using either of the 2 printers I have, it prints a blank page. And yet when I do the same thing in Internet Explorer, I have no trouble printing the text I want. I tried doing the prefs.js troubleshoot, deleting everything in that file that starts with print, but it made no difference. I used to be able to print this way in Firefox no problem, but now it doesn't work. Why not, and how do I get it to work again? I'm using Windows XP and Firefox 11.
A bug was introduced in the latest version of Firefox that affects printing selections that are inside a table. Because many pages use tables for general layout (without displaying the borders), this may appear to strike at random.

If you expand your selection to include some content outside the table, then the feature should work, but of course it would include some unnecessary information. -
Elements 10, Windows 8, 64 bit, Epson Artisan 835 printer: Prints are really dark even after applying enhancements, like adjusting lighting. Prints are darker than Photoshop Edit Screen. Prints are acceptable using Paint, Windows Photoviewer, or Photo Gallery.
In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

I want to eliminate an autofill choice that pops up when I sign into yahoo using the Firefox browser. I tried yahoo help which said hover over the unwanted line and press delete, but that did not work. Do you know how I can get rid of this autofill? I am using a Mac if that makes a difference.
