No Print Setting Button

I am running LR2.5 on a 64 bit PC with Vista.  In all of my manuals and the Adobe online help they show a "Print Settings' button on the lower left side of the screen right next to the "Page Setup" button.  I only have the page setup button and no print setting button.  is there some way to get this button to show or is this button now gone?  Thanks, Richard

Thank you for posting the screen shot.
Sorry, I see that this button has changed in CS5; it was labeled the "Page Setup" button in CS4.
That only allowed you to choose printer and paper size in CS4.  In order to get to the Epson printer driver, which is where you choose the media (paper) type, color settings, etc, you had to click in the larger (blue in your screen shot) "Print…" button, which then brought up the Epson driver dialog panel.
If this is no longer the case, then hopefully others will jump in.  My profound apologies for causing you further confusion.

  • Printer setting will not engage.

Made several large images on new R3000.  On next image after opening "print" window, the printer setting button will not engage allowing me to change size or select paper. I'm working in the Mac with CS 5 and also new to this program.

Try switching the color management from "Photoshop Manages" to "Printer Manages" and back. This causes a reset of most of the "Print Settings" and will frequently resolve these problems.
If that doesn't work, try resetting your preferences and printing a new document (not an existing document that you have printed before), since the Print Settings are saved both in the document and in the application preferences.
We don't (yet) have an R3000 in house to test against, so I can't offer more than that, but there's one on order, so if you still have problems, hopefully we'll know if there's something specific to that printer or its driver pretty soon.

  • Preview Default Print Setting "Fit to Page" Problem

Preview.app in Snow Leopard has removed the option to print without scaling, and recreating this behaviour with the remaining options is quite complex and requires 4 extra steps.
    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Open a document in Preview.app, such as a PDF, of a known paper size.
    2. Select 'File' > 'Print…'
    3. Change the paper size to one where the default scale value with the default 'Scale to Fit:' 'Print Entire Image' is not 100%. This step is often unnecessary, as many documents will require reduction to include margins, even if the paper sizes match.
    4. Select 'Scale:'
    5. Select the scale % value.
    6. Delete the scale value.
    7. Input '100' in the scale value box using the keyboard.
    8. Press tab to avoid radar #7256827.
    9. Click 'Print'
    Expected Results:
Click on a single option to print at 100%, if by chance that wasn't the default option. This would have been one step.
    Actual Results:
Does what it says. Steps 4 through 8 are necessary to print at 100% in most cases.
    Regression:
This behaviour was as expected in OS X 10.5.x and previous versions, or we wouldn't be having this discussion.
    Notes:
Printing at 100% is the only scaling that is common enough to warrant a button to make it an easy one to get to. Preview.app itself even has an 'Actual Size' toolbar button, but has removed this function for printing.
Graphic designers (and other professionals) or specific applications (such as printing on pre-cut or pre-printed paper, labels, or DVDs) can commonly require printing at 100%, and using PDF to distribute documents makes Preview.app the most logical choice for many printing jobs.
Having something other than 100% as a default can cause expensive media to be ruined by a mis-scaled printout, unless these 4 (+1) steps are followed every time.
Most other apps, including Safari, Mail.app and TextEdit default to no scaling, making Preview.app an exception.
I am an architect and this is really annoying!
    Does anyone know a workaround?

    Sorry no workaround as yet...
I too am now sick of the amount of expensive paper I have wasted due to the Preview app default print setting of 'Scale to fit'.
    - No option to print at 100%, you have to manually input this information.
    - No way to change this default in preferences, you can change the opening viewing size of a doc to 100% though.
    - Doesn't remember the previous settings if you decide to reopen the doc and print another copy.
I also found that if I attempted to print an A4 doc with bleed and crop marks, it would set the default paper size to A4 and the annoying scale to fit would be set to 83%. If I then changed the scale by typing in 100% but don't hit enter for fear of the print starting and then simply use the drop down to change the paper to A3 and then change the orientation and then hit enter it ignores that you have changed the scale and prints your doc at 83% on A3 - Brilliant!
It's a shame to say that I will be going back to acrobat for pdfs!
If you can't put a 100% scale radio button on the print dialogue box either allow people to change the default in prefs or even better allow the presets to control paper size and scale of printing!

  • CHM buttons are not localized in a French project (shows English Contents, Index, Search, Print, Hide buttons)

I opened an old WinHelp project into my new RoboHelp 7. When
I generate the CHM, even with the Project Settings in RoboHelp set
to French and running in a French Windows operating system (MS
Windows XP Pro 2002 SP 2), the CHM output is still in English. The
buttons display in English (Contents, Index, Search, Print, Hide
buttons). The title bar of the CHM also says "HTML
Help" even though the project title in the Project
    Settings is "Aide en ligne...".
My Windows Regional Settings through the Control Panel -
Regional Options tab is set French (France). On the Languages tab I
under Text Services and Input Languages, Details button, I selected
French (France) French. On the Advanced tab I selected French. Then
    I rebooted.
On the language bar on my Task pane, I selected FR. The CHM
    still displays in English.
Please help! I have to produce 4 CHMS in languages other than
    English today.
    Thanks!

GinaL, would you be able to give us an update? Did the CHM
files look ok on a PC with a true French OS installed?
To avoid having to rewrite everything, I've written the
following info/instructions for my team -- though I'm not yet sure
    they're 100% correct:
After I reported this issue to Adobe, they worked on the
problem for several days. They even sent me a new
HtmSingleSourceHtmlHelp.dll file that was supposed to solve the
problem. But it didn't work correctly. No matter what contortions
we put ourselves through, we couldn't get both of these items
correct in the CHM file at the same time, namely:
Index compiled in correct alphabetical order accdg to the
    language of the help project.
Correctly translated help title showing in the caption,
regardless of the user's Windows regional settings. (For example,
we wanted "FORMS-Hilfe zu FORMS 5-3" to appear as the caption of
the German version of FORMS help, even if our regional settings
    were set to English.)
I think we'd all agree that the index has to be in
alphabetical order. So from what I've seen, this is what we have to
do when compiling a non-English version of help using RH7:
    1. Set up the project with the foreign name.
    2. Set the language in the project settings. And in the
Project Settings dialog, click Advanced and check out the LNG File
tab to make sure it's using a translated version.
    3. Ensure that the Window Caption setting is correct in each
window included in the project. (On RoboHelp's Project tab, open
the Windows folder, double-click each window in turn, and check the
    settings.)
    4. Set the Language setting in the HHP file to Language=[hex
value for that language]. I found a bunch of them listed on this
web page. Someone else might be able to find a better source:
    https://svn.origo.ethz.ch/scoop/es_scoop_60/library/i18n/locale/nls/i18n_nls_lcid_tools.e
    5. Change your Windows regional settings to the same language
as the help project. (Reboot if prompted.)
    6. Recommended, for safety's sake: Delete the CPD file.
    7. Open the project and compile using RH7.
    8. Check the index's sort order -- is it in alphabetical
order according to the language of the project?
    9. Check the help caption -- make sure it's not "HTML Help".
Note: Any customized buttons in your CHM should appear
correctly translated, but other buttons (Contents, Index, Search)
still appear in English -- at least they do on my PC, even though I
did step 2 above. We need to check whether those buttons appear
correctly when the PC is actually running a true foreign version of
Windows, and not just with temporarily adjusted Windows settings.
OR -- is anyone else able to get these to appear translated in the
    CHM file?
Does anyone have anything to add? Other solutions? Easier
    procedures? Better results to report?
    Thank you
    Eileen

  • Is it necessery to push the Print Preview Button first so as to print Adobe

    Hi All ,
    I have a simple question.
I created a adobe print form.
I want to print this form and we can see the pop up window where i have the choice Print and Print Preview.
I want just to push the button Print and to have my pdf form printed.
    The question is.
Do i need for adobe print form to Preview first the form so as to print it than to some device?
I know that with the print button i send the xml form to ADS which convert it to pdf with the XDC file and than to the spooler where the Part pdf is printing.
    I will appreciate any help.
    Thank you ,
    Ari

    Hi Dezso ,
    Thank you for your answer.
Installing the XDC and the devices the way we can print the form is just pushing the button print in the pop up window?
Not first pushing the Print Preview button right?
Also we can suppress the pop up window setting the fp_outputparams values ?
In this way running the program i can print my form automatically?
    fp_outputparams-preview    = 'X'.
      fp_outputparams-connection = 'ADS'.
    *fp_outputparams-nodialog = 'X'. " suppress printer dialog popup
    *ls_outputparams-preview = ' '. " launch print preview
    *fp_outputparams-dest = 'ZPDF'.
    *ls_outputparams-getpdf = 'X'.
Thank you very much  for you help.

  • GRC 10 Print Version Button

    HI There
I have setup the RFC connection to the ADS service etc but the "Print Version" button does not appear after running a report
    Please advise

    Dear Parab,
This is a general requirement. The reason why you are getting the communication failure error  is because the print version for generating ABAP ALV is not set-up.
The flow is : The system (GRC here)uses the RFC connection SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF to call a portal service >the portal service uses Adobe Document Services>the system uses RFC to return the PDF document to the WD ABAP ALV
    and displays the document.
For your NW version and SP level , please implement SNOTE  1413938 - WD ABAP ALV -creating print version.
The  Web Service Destination for Adobe Document Services (in SAP NetWeaver
Administrator) needs to be set-up as explained in note.
Also see  IMG > SAP Netweaver >AS> Setup Printing for Web Dynpro ABAP ALV .

  • Print set up icon in PSE4

How do i get this icon on the tool bar at the top? In PSE1, it was next to the print icon. Now i have to click on print and bring all the boxes up till i get to the print set up box.

You don't mean icon, you mean toolbar button.
Unfortunately, the toolbar in PSE 4 Editor is not customizable.
Do you mean Page Setup or printer Properties?
If the former, you can do File/Page Setup [or SHIFT/CTRL/P].

  • How to enable the print & archive button that appear in the smartform outpu

How to enable the print & archive button that appear in the smartform output.....

    Hi,
I agree with the details which has been given above, but still if you want to default option 3 "Print & Archive" in drop down, it is possible.
All you need to do is to set the value of output_options structure field "TDARMOD" as "3" while passing the parameters to dynamic function module of smartform.
That will select "Print and Archive" in background and display to user.

  • Browser printing setting in Java

    Hello!
I want to have following browser printing setting using java.
    (1)     Page Size
    (2)     Page Margins
    (3)     Page Orientation
    (4)     Default Printer
    How can I get those?
    Regards,
    Chetan

But is it possible to get those info via JavaScript?Probably. Google will tell. Here is how to use it.
Type http://www.google.com into your browser's address bar and hit enter. (then bookmark the page, it is very useful)
Type in some keywords related to your question. An example migh be "Javascript print page setup" or something like that. Then hit the search button.
Browse through the links for any suitable pages that may answer your question.
If you do not find a suitable answer, maybe look through those links to find a Javascript forum where you can ask the question to people more likely to know.

    3) Then copy the exe to the 64 bit box and try to print using this sample app.
-do you mean copy the exe to the 64 bit computer for testing ?
